6 albums I've recently been listening to:

No surprise here, really. TPWBYT and Sundowning as well as the Singles/EPs too, but for the sake of not filling this list with Sleep Token, I’m gonna stick with TMBTE since it was on repeat last week.

I have a bad habit of hearing a TesseracT song and then immediately listening to this album after. It’s why I’ve yet to get through the entirety of any other TesseracT albums lol.

I am forever thanking Vessel for introducing me to this band. I’m so mad it took me until 2023 to listen to these guys.

Oh my god, this new album is so good! Garrett is a lyrical genius and the songs are so catchy. They’re also fans of Sleep Token, so extra kudos because of that.

It's almost 20 years old (fml how?!) but it's my favorite from this band, and I’m often relistening to it. If you have never heard a Gojira song before stop reading this and go listen to the two title tracks from this album back to back, From Mars and To Sirius.

This album recently became a comfort album for me (especially during crisis or drama). It's also why I refer to Will as my ”Emotional Support Will Ramos” lmao. If you see me on Discord and I have this album playing you know I am Going Through It™

First tattoo festival, second Silent Planet tattoo!

Fun story behind my decision to get this one: a few years ago when I wanted my first Silent Planet tattoo, I was torn between this idea and what I ultimately went through with (my hammerhead on the same arm with a lyric from Shark Week). But the whole time I’ve been a fan of the band, I’ve had this fantasy/daydream of getting to sing into the mic during this part of the song Panic Room.

When I finally saw the band after considering them a fave for years, that dream came true in the exact way I had envisioned it all those times I kept rewinding and admiring that buildup. So I was like ok well I can’t *not* still get this tattoo after that lol.

Chose the line “praise me for my valor” as a reference to the courage that I resent having to develop as a disabled trans person, but that has become one of my favorite parts of myself! So proud to have this band take up significant room on my dominant arm lol + the convention atmosphere was such a cool immersive experience 🤙🏻

i hate that i’m absolutely insane about silent planet but when garrett writes lyrics like “i tore a hole through the fabric of time just to bring you home” “you were my ineffable” “torn limb from limb i am swearing your name” “will you be the fire that burns in my lungs” “this can’t be a dream if it’s not with you” i can’t help but be in love with him and the entire band
