Whenever I see people ranting about how media should be comforting and how hopepunk is the only valid form of entertainment and how they want everything to be wholesome and non problematic I imagine that scene from Silver Linings Playbook when the guy yeets his copy of A Farewell to Arms out a closed window and barges into his parents' room in the middle of the night to rant about how disgusting it is that the couple didn't get a HEA and how they shouldn't be allowed to teach that at school.
