Happy October!

The spooky month is officially here and with it that wonderful SimsxTumblr tradition, Simblreen! I'm so happy that I get a chance to combine my favorite things and share them with you all this month.

While I won't be participating in the porchlight system or the witching hour, I will be releasing ~5~ new items publicly, one each Saturday in October and a bonus item on Halloween. Everything will be shared through SimFileShare with no adfly or other annoying ads to get in the way of accessing your treats.

hi hi it’s been a few months! i was thinkin bout how it’s simblreen time in a month and it made me sad and reminisce and i just wanted to check on this blog again <3

i will say, im likely not going to be active again for a long ass time. i have 0 motivation to even open my game. it’s actually quite overwhelming to think about doing, a lot bc of the maintenance i’d need to do to my mods folder and that’s not worth it if i’m not gonna enjoy playing anyways. it might have to do with my mental health being shit too but eh who can say lol

i would like to say, this blog has literally brought me such joy over the past 2 years. i got to interact with cool ass people and play the sims in such a creative way i hadn’t really done before (i hadn’t ever really played around with using poses and doing photo shoots and shit before simblr) idk thinking about it makes me smile but it also sucks ass that i don’t see myself ever being in that place again. that being said, i might come back whenever i pick up sims again. but i dunno. feels like chapter has been closed for a while.

FOOD SIM # 28 CHERRY 💖🌼🍒

Although she lives by herself at the very edge of the woods, Cherry is surprisingly upbeat and chatty. She's not exactly the hermit in the woods that one would expect to find in the middle of nowhere. However, her presence is a true blessing to travelers who find themselves lost in the forest as she does her best to be hospitable to them, even going so far as to let them stay as long as they need at "her" home. But it does need to be noted that she doesn't own the small cottage at all. She just stumbled upon it one day and decided to make it hers which is a bit worrying since the original owners might come back one of these days. But she doesn't seem to be too worried about it however since she's sure that she can find a way to convince them to give it to her. When asked why she decided to stay there, she simply replied: "No one's using it so it's free game!" ...Maybe we can assume she doesn't know how real estate works...

This one was super late but I finally made Cherry an official food sim! :"D I typically like to post the sims I make first but since I wanted to keep the Simblreen treats a surprise, I held myself back. All of the CC models on Simblreen are not supposed to be part of the Food Sim Series but I took one good look at Cherry and I knew I had to include her lol (I was too weak-willed not to include her xD). Now however, I'm thinking of making this one from the Misery Meat set a food sim as well... tho 50/50 on that one...

I don’t have any set times for my porchlight to be on, but I will be around all three days. No tricks, just treats.

Simblreen '23 announcement! 🎃

I will of course participate in Simblreen again this year, but this time a bit smaller than the last years (sorry for that). Since infants came into the game this year, I sat down and put together a little set of Halloween costumes just for them.

How does the whole thing work?

Those who want to pick up some costumes ahead of everyone else can hop into my inbox (make sure to not be anonymous) on October 27 and 28 and ask for trick or treat. This way you will get a random costume from the set. There are three costumes in total, so you can get up to two before the official release.

The full set will then be released to everyone on October 29.

I am already really excited to see some of you in my inbox - it's always a lot of fun! 🤗

Simblreen 2023 Announcement and Schedule

I've mentioned it, but with Simblreen starting TOMORROW, it's time I officially announced my participation. I'm doin' it!

Same as the last two years, I'll be giving out two gifts per weekend, a different one each of the four times my porchlight is on.

I'll be participating overnight and most of the morning, Friday into Saturday and Saturday into Sunday, both weekends. My porchlight will go on at 11pm US EDT (UTC/GMT -4, New York time zone) each night and go off at 11am US EDT the next morning. I'm nocturnal! 🦇 I'll be up all night. During this time, when the porch light is on, send me an ask (off anon) or a message saying "Trick-or-Treat!" and I'll reply with a special link for the gift. Anon messages won't get the gift, because it's a secret link. Please don't send messages once my porch light is off. I need to sleep, upside-down, during the day. 🦇 All gifts will be made public, probably about a week later. So don't worry if you miss my porch light, are shy, or don't have a tumblr account.

Hope to see you knocking at my door, and happy almost Simblreen already somehow!
