“Yeah, liked,” Mammon replies, emphasizing the past tense. “MC here really insists those feelings no longer remain.”

“Well that’s a shame for the lucky guy,” Simeon comments, and you can’t breathe for a moment.

“Ah, uh,” you say intelligently.

He chuckles. “Oh man, I missed you over the summer. We definitely should catch up. Maybe grab a bite to eat after classes.”

“T-together?”

“Hopefully together,” Simeon teases. “So, what do you say?”

The boys all share amused looks at your silence before Lucifer, of all of them, speaks up.

“MC agrees,” he says mildly, and Simeon beams.

“Great,” he says, standing. “I’ll catch you after school. My treat.”

As he lopes off, sending a fluttering wave to you over his shoulder, Mammon raises his eyebrows at you.

“Completely and totally over him?”

“I may have…regressed.”

What If....?: Protective!Simeon

In my continued campaign to twist the boundaries of canon for my own amusement, I thought up this little idea. More of a scenario than a headcanon, really.

Content: overprotective tendencies, hints of possessive behavior, some (un)healthy angst, maybe yandere! if you squint

Protective!Simeon who first met MC in the RAD hallways and instantly saw their fragility compared to their peers. They could barely cast a spell... how were they supposed to stay safe down here?

Protective!Simeon who immediately offered MC warmth and kindness in contrast to the demons around them... He'd always offer to help with their backpack or escort them to their next class if need be.

Protective!Simeon who worried a little about MC staying in HoL, so he'd make excuses to come see them. Study dates, book clubs, forgotten assignments... anything that worked in the moment.

Protective!Simeon who only worried more after hearing that the brothers would treat MC poorly... especially since they'd never tell him themselves.

Protective!Simeon who was torn between his lingering trust in his former brothers and the real threats that they posed now... He wants them to still be shepards, when he knows full well that they're wolves...

Protective!Simeon who tried to reason with Diavolo to move MC to Purgatory Hall, but never got it off the ground.

Protective!Simeon, whose preoccupation with MC was starting to worry Luke... The little angel was anxious for them too, but Simeon seemed to bring them up just a little too much.

Protective!Simeon who stayed up late every night praying for MC's safety and strength...

Protective!Simeon who heard about their first pact and cried because no prayers could help them anymore.

Protective!Simeon who felt sick watching MC make pact after pact, either unaware or unwilling to understand what they'd just done to their soul...

Protective!Simeon who was only getting colder and colder to the brothers as the program went on. He would never be openly hostile, but there was nothing left for them in his smiles anymore...

Protective!Simeon who's been scaring Luke with the amount of anger he's hiding. He'd act so natural until one of the brothers approached them, then the air around him would get unbearably heavy...

˗ˏˋ꒰ 💭 ꒱ . . . the winner option in the poll i did, using @rae-reblogs , was to post the drabbles with the character i had on mind (in a specific-character way). so, here y'all have the first one.

˗ˏˋ꒰ 💭 ꒱ . . . lowercase intended, 215 words, just simeon falling from heaven for mc, wrote in third person with they/them pronouns for mc.
