Chip ’n Dale 2022 AU where Ellie is a bad guy too.

The film is pretty much the same as before, up to Dale blasting into the bootlegging facility.  

Ellie and Chip are freed, and then Chip and Dale catch a whiff of Monty’s Rescue Rangers Cologne again.  Ellie tells them to follow the scent and track him down.  

Chip and Dale run through the studio and across numerous sets, realising that the bootleg movies are being made here in California rather than overseas.  

(Side note: Instead of a Simpsons cameo, we see a bootleg Family Guy being filmed.  A beautiful girl with brown hair and glasses says, “Forced labour aside, I am digging this new look!”  Her father barks, “Shut up, Peg!”)  

Meanwhile, Ellie has a quick scuffle with the bootleggers and Putty and then locks them in a room together.  She tells Sweet Pete, “It was fun while it lasted, but I’ll take it from here.”  

While all this is happening, Gadget and Zipper have been hovering outside in the Ranger Plane.  Gadget doesn’t like how long Dale is taking in there, so she swoops down to lend a helping hand.  

Chip and Dale finally find Monty, who’s been “Dumbo’ed”.  They hurry back to the room with the bootlegging machine to check on Ellie.  They meet her there, along with Gadget and Zipper.  The gang has been reunited.  The bad guys are out of action.  Chip is looking forward to leaving this place behind.  

Before they go, Ellie has one more thing to say to Dale.  She hadn’t been entirely truthful with him about her clue.  Gadget wasn’t double-crossed per se in “When You Fish Upon A Star”.  But the gang did believe there were on Canine Island when they were actually on Firefly Island.  They were operating under false pretenses.  

Chip realises what she’s saying - right as the machine slams shut, trapping all the Rescue Rangers inside.  

Chip yells that he was right, that Ellie can’t have seen Rescue Rangers because grandparents are terrible with electronics.  But she corrects him: she really is a fan, because her grandmother really did tape the show for her.  

Ellie: I’m surprised at you, Chip.  I didn’t think you’d be so ageist.  

Dale: Yeah, Chip, don’t be ageist!  

Chip: Wait, why am I the bad guy here?  

Ellie: Because your petty feud with Dale cost us the Rescue Rangers content we deserve!  You could have lived forever!  You could have beaten The Simpsons!  But you threw it all away!  But none of that matters now!  Because we’re getting a reboot!  

Moving deeper into the machine, the Rescue Rangers scrabble around to find a way out.  

Monty: This is all my fault.  I let the cheese get the best of me.  And now you’re all gonna get bootlegged.  

Gadget: Don’t blame yourself, Monterey!  Help us look for a way out!  

Monty: Right!  And then can I blame myself?  

Gadget: No!  

Gadget manages to cause a temporary power outage.  It buys them some time.  

It’s here that Chip and Dale have their reconciliation.  They want to be friends again, just in case something terrible happens to them.  They don’t want to die mad at each other.  Chip admits he didn’t have any friends before Dale came along, and he apologises for treating Dale like second banana.  Dale also apologises for not telling Chip what he wanted from him; he shouldn’t have left the show expecting Chip to read his mind.  

Sparks fly between them ... because Gadget has reactivated one of the laser cannons.  

Gadget: I’ve rewired it!  Now it should blast an exit for us!   Monty: “Should?!”  

Since part of the machine has gone back online, Ellie tries to take back control, pointing the laser at Chip or Dale.  Finally, the machine explodes and the cannon goes off.  

As the smoke clears, the Rescue Rangers survey the wreckage.  The rubble starts to move.  Ellie emerges - but she’s changed.  

She was hit by the cannon, and now she’s a mishmash of toon parts.  She’s got a Transformers leg, a Toy Story Woody leg, a Wreck-It Ralph hand, an arm cannon, red-and-black armour resembling Valerie Gray’s jumpsuit from Danny Phantom, and a Disney Princess-esque face.  She also has Fat Cat’s ears and tail.  

The chase sequence is similar to the original film, including the plan to cause a distraction with birds (which works, because Ellie is now part-cat).  Ugly Sonic appears to save the day.  Chip and Dale hug.  

Gadget delivers her closing joke, and everyone laughs.  Ugly Sonic joins in, but Gadget is unnerved by his human teeth.  The others notice as well, and stop laughing, but Ugly Sonic carries on, oblivious.

"VHS 'Screenshots' from Wakko's Springfield Score"

"Coming this Saturday, everyone famous daytime trio will get to meet up everyone's famous primetime family on April 1! Only on Fox!" proposed tagline.

These are recovered, totally not fake, screenshots from a lost crossover special of Animaniacs and Simpsons made circa 1996 before it was canceled mid production due to unknown production issues, and totally not by a bored artist who wanted to have another go at creating VHS screen captures. No, its not based on a crossover fanfic I never got around to writing.

Okay, maybe it is.

Here's some dialogue for each screenshot scene going top to bottom.

Not to be long winded with a lengthy explanation, the fanfic story basically would have been a AU crossover fic where Yakko and Wakko Warner are former street hustlers turned detectives who run into Clancy Wiggum, a private investigator. (loosely based on that one shot Simpsons episode where he goes by Wiggum PI)

Wakko wants to team up with him, but he's turned down when it's considered to be too dangerous. What followed would be a series of hijinks as Wakko proved his worth as a detective; Krusty the comedian being framed for a serious crime, Inspector Scratchensniff on the hunt for the Wanrer Brothers and the missing Warner sister, all of it tied with together with some involvement with the Springfield Mafia. 

So yeah, a simplish plot. Maybe if I ever get into writing fanfics again, I might actually write the whole story.

1)Wiggum PI: "Sorry Rover, I already got a partner, this city's too dangerous for a cat, dog...what are you two again?"

Yakko Warner: "Look, PI we barely know on our own show, that's not changing here"

2)Krusty: "Hey, Why the hell should I trust you? You're the reason I'm this mess in the first place!"

Wakko: "Cause I'm the only one who can clear your name!"

3)Skinny Boy: "We got to find those three deformed children before Fat Tony and his goons do! There's no telling what will happen when he gets a hold of them!"

Inspector Scratchensniff: "He's not the one we need to be worried about!"

I keep mulling over in my head why Housebroken works so well for me. By all rights it shouldn't - the characters are largely shallow, the gags are consistently dumb as hell, and the plotlines are consistently ridiculous, but in a mundane, realistic way. The animation is acceptable but nothing special. It's also very gross - our male lead (our female lead, Honey, being his put-upon and extremely intelligent wife) consistently draws gags from vomiting, shitting himself, and eating anything and everything, including what just came out of him. I'm certainly sick of Peter Griffin/Homer Simpson wannabes, and he's egregiously dumb even by those standards.

But it works, and I think it comes down to the show's central gimmick - they're all house pets. Why is Chief so incredibly dumb? Because he's a massive Saint Bernard. Why is Chico so fat? Because he's a cat whose owner leaves him home alone with piles of food, and he's a nervous eater - that's just something cats do in isolation! Why is Nibbles a murderous psychopath? Because she's a golden hamster who has to constantly deal with being handled by 3rd graders, which golden hamsters find stressful and will often respond violently to.

All of these tropes and ideas that should come off as overplayed just sorta work when the reason the cast is like that is because they're animals known to act that way. It also doesn't hurt that the main setting they all meet is a group therapy session, which gives more opportunities to dig into where these typical pathological behaviors come from, adding extra depth.

This is is the glue that binds Housebroken together, and elevates it far above other derivative trash in a similar mold. It also lets the show get away with stuff other shows could never get away with. Example: the scene early on where Chico suddenly and unexpectedly gives birth to kittens in front of everyone - made even more exceptional because he's, well, a guy, and nobody thinks that's weird before or after. That's right - this show didn't just say trans rights, it threw in a transmasculine character giving birth in front of everyone, and it wasn't treated as something worth commenting on! Diablo gets on antianxiety medication that also gives him a massive boner, and because he's a dog, this is less cringeworthy and more hilarious as he drags a little trail in the sand while he walks.

In short, this show is definitely lowbrow schlock, but it's exceptionally good lowbrow schlock, and I'm definitely enjoying it.

I am aware the creators made an official song tournament, but i didn’t hear about it until after it was already over so I have decided to make one of my own!

This is very self-indulgent and there are a lot of south park songs to think of, especially if you include covers (which i have decided to do) so I am likely very biased in which songs i have chosen.

I have narrowed it down to 128 songs to start to give an easy number for a tournament, but if I haven’t included your favourite song feel free let me know in the notes, reblogs or tags and I will make sure to add it to the list.

Hello can you tell us more about your cats and plants please 🙏

I have three cats and they're all named after Simpsons characters: Lenny, Carl & Moe. Lenny is a huge black shorthair, literal house panther. He's the oldest (about 10ish) and my partner and I have had him our entire relationship together. He has a LOT of problems, both medical and behavioral. He is the problematic child for sure. We love him though. He can be a huge sweetie, but only on his terms.

Carl is a big fat orange longhaired guy with one eye! He was like that when we got him, though. He's about 7 and he's purely made of love. You just look at him and he starts purring and making little happy stamps. He is shockingly gentle for a cat - he never, ever bites or scratches in retaliation. Loves belly rubs. Very malleable, loves to be carried like a baby. Currently he is in a cone recovering from a butt injury, so please keep him in your thoughts.

Moe I blabbed about here, but I will reiterate she is amazing and good. I love her with all of my being. I really wish I had a good picture of all of them together... I will make that a goal.

PLANTS.... I have many many plants. There are 21 just in this room. My favorite types are pothos, hoyas, rubber trees, some philodendrons & monsteras. I ONLY READ IT BECAUSE OF FAT TONY... I feel so stupid for reading it, I knew it had bad stuff...but I thought it had a good ending like getting revenge or something, BUT NO THERE WAS NO REVENGE. I cried reading it and one thing is I never cry, this is my first time crying over dang fanfic, I hate this I hate myself, I hate what I did, I should have known better. Now I'm sitting in my dark room, mad at myself, I hate it, I feel so disgusting, I cannot believe I read it, THE POOR CHILDREN...FUCK YOU HOMER. I apologize for my language...but the fanfic makes me hate everyone and everything, the things it said, how the people who commented and liked and made it are still on this earth roaming free, what has the world gotten to, it was in another language, I hate that I was curious and translated it, you know what they say Curiosity killed the Cat. I have read every goddam fanfic of Fat Tony from A03 through Wattpad and in all of that fanfic that was the most disgusting, horrifying, life-changing thing I had read, I never wish for anyone to read it, even to my worst enemy even they deserve better then seeing that kind of fanfic, I regret ever reading it and if I could go back in time and tell myself to not read it I would, just the thought that this person who made it roams free is mind-blowing, the people who enjoyed it deserves to go to jail.

South Park WOWOW Japanese dub

I remember someone asking years ago if there was a place to watch the Japanese dub of SP, so here's a masterpost of all the episodes I've found so far. Links go to NicoNico Douga, the quality isn't the best but this is the only place I've found them.

SP has three Japanese dubs, from what I can see: the WOWOW dub (seasons 1 - 7), the Fox Japan dub (season 8), and the Netflix dub (seasons 15 - 23). If I find any more, I'll update the post!

Lose Weight With the Protein Leverage Hypothesis

There are a lot of theories out there as to why obesity rates have been increasing in the West over the past forty years.  One of the most convincing and well-vetted was formulated by two scientists — David Raubenheimer and Stephen Simpson — in the early 2000s. Their idea potentially explains why obesity levels have been rising in the past several decades and the simple change people can make to their diet to lose weight. This theory is known as the “protein leverage hypothesis,” and today we’ll unpack it and explain how to put it to use in your life.  What Cannibalistic Crickets Can Teach Us About the Innate Hunger For Protein You’ve likely read about plague-level swarms of locusts and crickets. From time to apocalyptic-like time, they march across the landscape, devouring everything in their path.  Here’s something you might not have known: When crickets hit a patch of land that doesn’t have any nice, tasty starches, they’ll start eating their fellow crickets.  Why would a herbivorous insect become cannibalistic?  Dr. Raubenheimer, who’s an entomologist (a scientist who studies insects), decided to explore that question. He discovered that crickets and locusts consume wheat, corn, and cotton because they’re on the hunt for a particular macronutrient.  No, not carbs.  Protein.  Crickets eat all that starchy food because their bodies hunger for the protein it contains. When there’s plenty of grass and wheat to nosh on, the crickets will just eat that because those food sources have the right blend of carbs, fats, and, most importantly, protein that they need to thrive.  When they hit a patch of land with plant life that doesn’t contain a lot of protein (like you might find in a desert), crickets will start eating each other. Crickets have an innate hunger for protein that will not be stopped. Raubenheimer and Simpson decided to take a closer look at crickets’ innate drive for protein in the lab.  They found that if you place two bowls in front of crickets, one filled with food that contains a natural balance of carbs, fats, and proteins and the other filled with food modified to be protein-deprived, the crickets will ignore the protein-deficient food and only eat the food that offers them adequate protein.  Raubenheimer and Simpson then researched what would happen if they only gave crickets access to foods that had been manipulated to have varying ratios of carbs, fat, and protein. What they found is that regardless of the food set before them, crickets seemed to have a target amount of protein — 210 mg a day — they were trying to achieve with their diet, and they would eat until they reached that target. If the food they were given had a higher percentage of carbs but less protein, they’d eat more total calories on the way to achieving their protein target. If they ate food with a higher percentage of protein, they’d eat fewer total calories because they’d reach their protein target sooner.  Raubenheimer and Simpson noticed this phenomenon in other animals like rats, dogs, and cats. Animals will eat food until they reach a certain daily protein target. Once they hit that target, they stop eating.  If you manipulate the food you give to animals so that it’s lower in protein but higher in fat and carbs, they’ll eat more total calories. If you make the food higher in protein and lower in carbs and fat, they’ll eat fewer total calories.  Here’s a concrete, hypothetical example to explain this idea: Let’s say you give animals pellets of food that each contain 100 calories, but in varying ratios of carbs, fat, and protein. In one type of pellet, 70% of the calories comes from carbs (17.5 grams), 20% comes from fat (~2 grams), and 10% comes from protein (2.5 grams). In the other pellet, 70% of the calories comes from protein (17.5 grams), 20% comes from carbs (5 grams), and 10% comes from fat (~1 gram). This Nearly Crashed My Browser: Finding All 120+ Competitors

The Simpsons is known for it's utterly mind-boggling amount of episodes and characters, with its wiki having more than 5K entries in the character section. My job was to sift to through and pick out as many relevant characters as possible, while making some exclusions and exceptions. Here's how it went down:

The wiki's home page has a character tab with a dropdown with five category; Simpson Family, Krusty, At the SNPP, At Springfield Elementary, and Kids

Clicking on each tab will bring you to a page with all characters relevant to the category

-The Krusty tab is literally just Krusty, so I just found Channel 4 myself

In Simpson Family, I grabbed the core family, Snowball & SLH, Abe & Mona, Patty, Selma, and Ling

In Channel 4, I grabbed Krusty, Kent, Bumblebee Man, Sideshow Bob & Mel, Mr. Teeny, Itchy & Scratchy, and later I decided to expand it to celebrities, adding, Marvin Monroe, Troy McClure, Rainer Wolfcastle, Drederick Tatum, and just decided to stick Kang & Kodos here

In SNPP, I grabbed Mr. Burns, Smithers, Lenny & Carl, Blinky the Fish, Charlie, and the people's champion, "Just Stamp the Ticket" Man

In Springfield Elementary, I grabbed Skinner, Edna, Otto, Hoover, Largo, Willie, Chalmers, Krupt, and Doris

And in Kids, I grabbed Uter, Richard & Lewis, Database, Baby Gerald, Milhouse, Nelson, Wendell, Martin, Ralph, Rod & Todd, Sherri & Terri, Janey, and the Spuckler & Nahasapeemapetilon kids

I didn't find the bullies, Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney in Kids, so I made a throwaway category, "Townies". After these three and over the course of tracking other characters, I grabbed Barney, Sam & Larry, Hans Moleman, Snake, Bleeding Gums, Julio & Grady, Jebediah Springfield, Disco Stu, Squeaky Voiced Teen, Cletus & Brandine, and the City of Shelbyville.

Next, I decided to look for Senior characters, which eventually evolved into the aptly named "Olds" category. This was pretty broad, but here I grabbed Ned & Maude Flanders, Kirk & Luann Van Houten, Marge's Mother, Jasper, Mrs. Muntz, Old Jewish Man (which is his title, apparently), Ruth Powers, Mrs. Glick, Crazy Cat Lady, Sarah Wiggum, Agnes, Manjula, and Matt Groening.

Researching this category, characters such as Apu and Fat Tony came to mind, but were excluded since they do stuff. So then I made the final category, "Career", characters who are most defined by their career. This was the largest category, with me grabbing Apu, Reverend & Helen Lovejoy, Lionel Hutz, Moe, Dr Hibbert & Nick, Fat Tony, Legs & Louie, Johnny Tightlips, Frankie the Squealer, Judge Constance, The Salty Sea Captain & The Rich Texan, Mayor Quimby, Cookie Kwan, Blue-Haired Lawyer, Lindsey Naegle, Roger Meyers Jr, Gil, Comic Book Guy, Chief Wiggum, Officers Eddie & Lou, Herman, Italian Chef (not calling him f-ing Luigi Risotto), and Duffman.

Finally, the characters I forgot or couldn't originally fit, being Herbert, Allison, Rabbi Krustofsky, Artie Ziff, Shauna Chalmers, Kumiko Albertson, and Raphael the Wisecrack.

Exclusions and the Vaguest of Vague Rules

While constructing the list, at the start I avoided adding Allison, Herbert, and the Rabbi. In my mind, these were one-time guest stars, like Hank Scorpio and Frank Grimes, but I decided to include them as Allison became a Janey-like figure, Herbert got a follow-up episode in Season 3, and the Rabbi appeared on occasion with speaking roles. Characters I will never add would either be real-people, with the exception of Matt Groening, one-off guest stars, and set-dressing characters that don't impact main characters, such as Martin's parents, the other workers at the nuclear plant, and Sideshow Bob's wife and child.

Of course, I can bend the rules. If you think of a character that could be included, tell me in anyway you can and I'll decide on it or create a public poll. Why, just typing this up I thought of Flanders' parents, the Vegas wives, and Princess Kashmir, who could all be argued for or against!

I hope my parents never buy us food ever again

Okay, so I live in a pretty populated house, I live with my parents, my older sibling, their partner, my younger brother, and two youngest siblings (I also live with my cat but she is irrelevant to this rant.) So the house is pretty crowded so as you can imagine meals are expensive. Often, my parents will just buy shit in bulk from costco like Cup of Noodle and Kraft Mac & Cheese. And I’m talkin’ that blue box shit, none of that microwave cup bs. So often they’ll make us dinner or ask one of the oldest in the house to make dinner for everyone in their place. If nobody is able to, we often find ourselves getting takeout. Takeouts expensive as fuck for a house of 8 as you could imagine, so that option is usually reserved for if not everyone in the house will be joining us for a meal. If nobody is making dinner, and we aren’t getting takeout, THAT is precisely what the ramen and mac are for.

I know I rambled on for a bit there about pointless shit, but the tl;dr is my parents buy a lot of foods in bulk, typically shit you can just microwave or add hot water or throw in an air fryer and eat hassle free. On nights where we resort to these meals and don’t eat as a family, we refer to as “every man for himself” nights and they happen more often than you might think, especially in the fall when everyones busy with school and work. For some reason I can’t explain, I always make it a personal challenge upon myself to finish these bulk foods as soon as possible—even if the food is ass. So for a week straight I’ll have Cup of Noodles for lunch every day, I’ll make myself two boxes of Mac at a time, I’ll airfry some chicken nuggets and put them all a sandwich with lettuce and mayo, pizza bagels in the blender, I’m fucking gross bro but I HAVE to get through these meals. I want those crates empty. Why do I do this? I don’t really know, I guess it’s just the completionism mindset that makes seeing an empty crate once filled with sodium rich pre-cooked noodles feel so cathartic. I especially feel this way with breakfast cereals. My parents buy us breakfast cereal all the time, but NOBODY eats cereal in this house, especially not the fucking lucky charms and raisin bran and cinnamon toast crunch my folks keep nabbing. So I take it upon myself to have a bowl every morning until the cereal is gone, because I don’t wanna see the cereal they bought go to waste.

Y’all are probably imagining my homer simpson ass as a big lookin amorphous blob of microwave food, and that’s fine, I wouldn’t call myself fat but I’m certainly unhealthy as fuck I probably have a couple months left to live after the way I’ve been eating. The constant exposure to giant crates of empty calories and the allure of eating meals feeling like ticking off boxes on a list may be enabling these habits. But that is NOT the reason my parents need to stop buying food, oh no no no dear reader. The REAL reason my parents must never let a mere crumb of food enter this house ever again is because of the overwhelming crushing feeling of defeat I feel when I’m about to get to the last box of mac and cheese and suddenly the pantry has been restocked. The biggest problem here is some of the foods nobody in the house even fucking likes, like the cereal I mentioned earlier, I am quite literally ONLY eating it to get rid of it. But my parents will see this and thing “Huh, the frosted flakes are nearly empty! Our kids must love frosted flakes!” AND BUY LIKE 4 BOXES IN BULK AT COSTCO. IN MY ATTEMPT TO NOT BE WASTEFUL WITH THE CEREAL, I ONLY WOUND UP POURING GASOLINE ON THE PROBLEM. Honestly, the more I write about this the more I realize it’s just about cereal. Like the same thing happens with the soups and macs, but at least I’m not the only one who eats that shit. With the cereal though, I’m suffering through bowl after bowl of special k. Sometimes at 2 in the morning my sibling will come out of their room for a bowl of cocoa pebbles and we’ll sit and talk while we eat cereal together. It’s fun but they can’t have anything with gluten and it’s not like they know I’ve made this habit for myself. So the moral of the story is make me a salad, I should probably go on a diet.
