I was watching lilsimsie make a suburbia in the sims 4, and I was inspired to make something similar in the sims 2.

These four houses act as apartments, so you can still play big families on the same lot.

All the apartments are small and affordable, making them good for sims just starting out. All units have a useable patio/balcony. Lot features a communal picnic area and decorative parking lot.

i recently said i was considering slowly making lots (and sims) i build (and make) available for download, and i figured the starter homes i built for my youtube bacc would be an okie place to start! also bc these are among the very first lots i've built myself haha.

pics, info, download, n ramblings under the cut!

included are five starters, the very ones that started port taylor :^) their styles are pretty simple as my idea was to give them a bit more personality once my founders moved in and acquired enough money to renovate--i liked the idea of the starting homes all being similar like a newly built neighborhood!

a lot of my lots have small closed-off sections--they're for when i expand houses during my gameplay, stairs will go there!

i ran into some mild (i guess) hiccups as i was preparing them for upload, i've included what specifically in the info text documents with the houses that had them, but it should all be fine! just kinda annoying to me lmaoo. also included are floorplans and additional pics of the houses!

they're not cc free! not cc heavy as the furnishing is very minimal, mostly build mode stuff. also i have ultimate collection if that matters!

it took me a few tries to do it properly (it turns out that packaging lots with cc does like every recolor for a mesh you have rather than just the one recolor so i had a BLAST -sarcasm- removing all the extra stuff and tryna figure out which recolor it is specifically) so lmk if there's any issues please!

I know it's not a lot numbers, but thank you thank you for you guys followed me! 34 followers already! 💞

So I did a makeover of Family Fun Stuff's lot bin: Visionary Villa with a lot of cc for followers gift! It took 2 days to build and it's finished today! That's a lot of work! But It was worth it! I like this lot! 😁💓

I use Suratan-zir's lush terrain replacement and I used matching terrain paints in the lot.

3 apartment lots that make up a "subdivision." The lots all have 3 houses (apartments) and 1 community area (playground, pool, cafe), each house even comes with it's own small yard. These lots are not CC free but use the Bespoke build set. You don't have to use this set, the houses will just lack a bit of wallpaper and trim, and the windows will be replaced. I looked at them without CC and they look fine without the set, but I don't think there's a simmer left on this planet that doesn't use Bespoke so. As you can see, the lots are meant to be placed next to one another but you don't have to. If you don't use a lighting mod in nhood view, the roads don't match the main roads and the lines look a little funky if you look too closely. I believe I also used these fake mailboxes for a few of them and then immediately forgot about adding them to the rest of the lots lol.

4 Houses from my Unfinished Hood

So a while ago I got the big idea to create my own custom hood. I've not worked on it for about 7 months now so let's be real I probably won't again so I thought I would just share the houses I built. They were all built from real floorplans and I tried to scale appropriately to sims but you may still wind up with some larger-than-necessary rooms 😂

The versions I had saved in the bin were empty, unfurnished except for room placeholders, never lived in but I'd still just be careful and have the essential mods and the such because I have been hug-bugged before soooo 🤷‍♀️

✨ House #1 "BB" 4BR 4BA

This house was made for 4 roommates who were in a band, so there's 4 bedrooms and a big space for their instruments on the second floor. But of course you can use it however you want!

✨ House #2 "PF" 3BR 3BA

This was meant to be the "perfect family" home so it's designed for the traditional mom, dad and two kids kinda setup.

✨ House #3 "UNC" 5BR 4BA

Even though this house has 5 bedrooms I actually only intended for one sim to live here. "UNC" stood for Uncle and it was for the hot uncle of an orphaned teen (who lives in House #4) but considering that it does have 5 bedrooms you certainly can do a lot more with it!

✨ House #4 "ORGD" 8BR 6BA

This might be the most impressive thing I've ever built and the reason why I decided to still share these. It's a mansion, of course!

The only thing to be aware of is because I packaged these in my main game the BB and ORGD houses have stairs packaged with them? I think? I took out all of my CC but must've forgot those. I think if you untick it you should be fine.

I saw a house similar to this and got inspired.

This house cost around 135,000 simoleons and has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. I did a little decorating to the outside but left the inside empty besides the basics like the kitchen and bathrooms. All custom content is included in the download.
