Holy shit. Okay so here is a little bit of an update to the Sim Pantheon thing. Here I will introduce the Muses and a few other characters that show up. Each first instance of a name is a link to more information about them.



Let's start off with mother of the Muses, Mnemosyne, goddess of memory. I had to move Zeus in with her temporarily so I could get the right gene combination to create all of the daughters. She is pictured here with her daughter, Thalia, the muse of comedy (with the shorter hair). I decided to have Thalia still living with her mother as she pursues her comedy career. When I started playing their household it seems like there was a little bit of conflict brewing so maybe that will manifest itself into a dramatic move out. Fitting of a comedian, I think.

Moving on we have, Kleio, muse of history reading in her study. I'd like to have some fun with her digging up artifacts and being a bit of an archeologist.

After Kleio we'll move to Euterpe and Melpomene . They are the muses of song and tragedy respectively. I decided it would be nice of Melpomene lived with one of her brighter sisters in order to pull her out of her depression from time to time. Euterpe is like the nicer version of my Apollo build. Apollo is kind of a dick and a perfectionist when it comes to music. His Apollonian nature takes charge in most situations. Euterpe is going to be more interested in just having fun and spreading joy.

This picture will knock a few out. Here we have Terpsichore, muse of dance (and bangs), and Ourania, muse of science (blue sweater), paying a visit to their sister Erato (middle of the couch), muse of romantic poetry who just moved in. Silenus (short man with the afro) and Pan (tall be-jacketed man) also tagged along for some reason. Silenus and Pan are roommates who used to live with Dionysus but moved out due to space issues. Silenus is a fairly lecherous old dude who is past his romantic prime but nobody bothered to tell him. Pan is kind of nuts and unpredictable. He's also a klepto so Erato may be missing some things.

I made Erato as sort of a younger rival to Aphrodite. Both are obviously very horny characters but where Aphrodite is older and a little bit more classic, Erato is younger and more energetic. Erato flirted with Silenus A LOT during this visit.

Next to last is Polymnia (or Polyhymnia), muse of religious hymns. I decided to make her the counterpoint to Erato. I based her off of religious people I knew growing up. She's smug and very into how pure she is. This should create some fun conflict later.

And finally, the one who will probably be my favorite, Kalliope, muse of epic poetry. She is a shy, reclusive author with three cats. The cats naturally are named after poets she has inspired. The youngest is a female cat named Sappho (rusty colored, seen here destroying furniture) and the other two are elder male cats named Homer (grey floofy) and Hesiod (black with goofy eyes).

While long hair on men continued to be the fashion during the 1400s, the style started to draw criticism from churchmen and other moralistic authorities who worried that long hair for men meant trouble. This resulted in long hair mostly falling out of fashion by the 1500s. However, beard-wearing was still seen as a sign of masculinity and almost a rite of passage, symbolising the transition from boy to man. CC links under the cut.

31 Pride Month Art Prompts 2022

I'm dealing with some serious art block recently thus, ba bada ba! Pride prompts! I figured I would post it since you guys are wild artists and I really wanna see what you can do!

So it has 31 prompts and 31 color palettes based off of pride flags (yes I know there's 30 days in June just bear with me 31 is just a freebie so 👀)

Anyway, I'm going to be using this with a number generator so I get a random prompt number with a random color palette, but you don't have to do it that same at all! Please feel free to use this in any way you can come up with, just thought I would disclose that. PS: I'll be using this as inspo for both sims and traditional art so use it for either!

4. Your fav queer celeb: From amazing allies like Bea Arthur to groundbreakers like Lavern Cox, tell us who inspires you!

5. Your fav queer character: Have a ship? A character that helped you find yourself? Now's your chance!

6. Your fav decade: Is it ancient Greece with their progressive army, or maybe the queer renaissance of the 1980s? Show off your history knowledge!

7. Your fav queer show: TV shows are a big piece in helping with representation! Also, I'm looking for recommendations.

8. Tea/coffee/snack break: Art is hard work! So take a break and get yourself a treat! Now make some art out of it baby!

9. Drag: OCs in drag, favorite drag queen. We're not picky! Drag it up!

15. Parade/festival: Pride to the summer solstice to avocadoes! All kinds of festivals and parades are upon us. What kind of vibe do they leave you with?

16. Farm: Live your cottage core dream!

17. Equality: One for all and all for one. What does equality mean to you? Celebrate it!

18. Pet: A pet portrait, an ode to Roy and Silo, or even a rainbow snake! Show us some cuteness and make it creative!

Fun facts!!

He's a barista because honestly? Finarfin deserves his coffee shop au

Earwen is cheerful, loves outdoors, collector and music lover. Her aspiration is "Angling Ace", to become the bestest fisher out there!!

Findarato is a social butterfly which will be hell of an aspiration to complete, ngl.

Other Arafinweans will come later! Angrod and Aegnor will be born when Finrod becomes a Teenager. Galadriel comes after both of them hit childhood, i think

I took inspiration from Ancient Greece houses, even though it's very freeform

First roof has a workshop, a small library, Finarfin's and Earwen's bedroom; bathroom and a pool; kitchen and living room. Third room has 4 children bedrooms. In a garden, there's a pond with a pair of swans, a fountain, and a cherry tree (and monkey bars for children!!)

i plan on making nolofinweans and feanorians next :3

Assassin's Creed

As I grew up, I was unfortunately not one who played a lot of games. Mostly I was stuck building things in the Sims and Roller Coaster Tycoon. Instead, I watched my little brother as he played the very first Assassin's Creed game. It captured my interest and, years after, took over a lot of my life during my 20s.

Every game that followed Assassin's Creed 4 - Black Flag ended up on a heavy rotation as I deleted and replayed the save files. Why? Because the games were amazing!

The storytelling was, in many regards, simple and filled with troupes. Man loses his family and wants revenge, the assassins recruit him, and the plot is resolved. However, the protagonists' setting and goals managed to keep it fresh and interesting. Sure, there were a lot of issues with AC Unity (technical), but overall, that story was so interesting and nice to explore.

With AC Syndicate the troupe started to take over a little bit too much for me. It was the same rehashed story with beautiful mechanics. But my interest faded in the franchise.

Then there came a game called ASSASSIN'S CREED ODESSY

It. Blew. My. Mind. Away!

It takes place in ancient Greece and with the first-ever choice for the players to play as Alexios or Cassandra, a brother or sister. What I found exciting and amazing about this was that no matter what choice you made, the story was the same. Just because you chose Cassandra did not affect how she was in the world or how she was spoken to. Not only was this a great idea, but there were also multiple choice options. You could decide what path to take if you wanted a good, bad or neutral ending.

Aside from this, both characters were believable - and pretty good-looking :)

This story focused on the siblings trying to reunite. Thankfully, they had not lost their parents, like in previous AC games. It was refreshing and breathed new life into the franshice.

Then along came AC Vallhalla. I will admit I was very excited about it. Unfortunately, it did not win my admiration.

The visuals and music are outstanding. But they reverted to the "dead parents" cliché, which immediately threw me off. I have tried several times to return to the game but have been unsuccessful. Instead, I focus on Odessy and want to replay it over and over again.
