Sims In Bloom - A Sims 4 Legacy challenge

General rules

•For each generation complete the designated aspiration, career, and skills.

•Asterisk * marked points are optional, you can choose to complete these to make the challenge more difficult.

•There are two colours associated with every generation. Use these for genetics (berry/banilla), or just clothes and house decor if you wish.

•Start each new generation with a small house/apartment and 1000 simoloeons. If you want to make the challenge harder, you can start each generation on an empty lot with 0 simoleons (rags to riches style!)

•Play on any lifespan you wish (short is not recommended).

•If you decide to play this challenge @ me or use the tag #sib or #SimsInBloom if you want me to see!

Gen 1 - Daisy (white, yellow)

Gardening has always been your passion. Owning a large, healthy garden is all you’ve ever wanted in life, even if your nails constantly have soil under them and you have so many broken pots you’ve lost count. Your happy place is meditating in the shade of the fruit trees that you grew yourself from tiny saplings. You sit and wonder what your family will grow to do, and hope that they will flourish just as beautifully as your garden has. This is the start of your family legacy!

Aspiration: Freelance botanist

Traits: Cheerful, clumsy, loves outdoors

Career: Gardening

Skills: Gardening, fishing, wellness

•Live on a lot with the lot challenge ‘Simple living’

•Grow a cowplant and keep it alive for as long as you live (if it dies, immediately plant a new one)

•Grow 5 perfect plants

•Marry a sim who also has the ‘loves outdoors’ trait

•*Gain the Outdoorsy lifestyle

Gen 2 - Buttercup (yellow, green)

From a young age you’ve always loved animals of all kinds. You spent your childhood playing in your parents’ garden, fascinated by the wildlife all around you. As a teen you were gifted a laptop for your birthday and you spent most of your time attached to it, competing in video game tournaments. Your love for animals persisted however, and you use the money won from video game tournaments to start your own vet clinic! ‘Romance’ and ‘marriage’ are things you never saw in your future, but you would still like to raise a child with love and care like you were.

Aspiration: Friend of the animals

Traits: Cat lover, geek, unflirty

Career: Vet

Skills: Veterinarian, programming, video gaming

•Enter in a video game tournament at least once a week from when you are a teen

•Earn money by owning and running a vet clinic

•Always own at least 2 cats

•Never get into a relationship or marry (you can attempt to date for fun but they never work out)

•Adopt at least 1 child

•*Complete the Feather Collection

•*Gain the Techie lifestyle

Gen 3 - Lavender (lilac, dark purple)

You were adopted by your loving parent into a small family, and so you’ve never been much of a people person. Keeping to yourself in your room you discovered your love of creating things with your own two hands, and of course playing your beloved violin. You spend a lot of time on your creations because every one has to be prefect!

Aspiration: Master maker

Traits: Loner, recycle disciple, perfectionist

Career: Freelance crafter

Skills: Fabrication, knitting, violin

•Play the violin as a child

•Be companions with a pet as a child/teen

•Only have one best friend as a child/teen, and eventually fall in love and marry them

•Have 10 fabricated pieces of furniture in your house

•Knit everyone in your family (partner/children) an item of clothing to wear

Gen 4 - Rose (red, black)

Growing up surrounded by hand crafted or recycled furniture made you crave a brand new scenery. So when you aged up you moved to the big city of San Myshuno to get away from your old home. You love visiting the festivals, galleries, meeting new people, and posting about it on social media.

Aspiration: City native

Traits: Materialistic, art lover, active

Career: Social media

Skills: Charisma, photography, media production

•Live in an apartment or penthouse all your adult life

•When you are a young adult go to every Romance Festival, Humour and Hijinks Festival, Spice Festival, Flea Market and Geekcon

•Upload a video using the More Views Video Station at least once a week

•Have 5 good friends

•*Gain the Energetic lifestyle

•*Complete the City Poster Collection

Gen 5 - Forget-me-not (light blue, yellow)

You love being in the spotlight and thrive on the attention of others. You dream of becoming famous, attending celebrity parties, and owning a large spotless house! You would do anything to stay in the headlines, even at the expense of your family life…

Aspiration: World-famous celebrity

Traits: Self-absorbed, dance machine, neat

Career: Actor

Skills: Acting, DJ mixing, dancing

•Join the Drama Club as a child

•Switch agencies at least once

•When you become a 3 star celebrity, throw a party at least once a week

•When you become a 4 star celebrity, divorce your current partner and marry a co-worker

•Have a low relationship level with your child/children

•*Gain the People Person lifestyle

•*Complete the Postcard Collection

Gen 6 - Sakura/cherry blossom (pink, brown)

Your parents had a troubled marriage, and growing up you hoped yours would not be the same. You spent a lot of time with your pet dog as a child, a distraction from the troubles at home and the persistence of the paparazzi. You dreamed of a quiet life without fame and fortune, growing old with the one you love.

Aspiration: Soulmate

Traits: Jealous, dog lover, romantic

Career: Culinary

Skills: Baking, pet training, painting

•Marry your first love

•Always own a dog

•Go on a date at least once a week

•Paint a painting for every room of your house

•Have at least 3 children

•*Gain the Hungry for Love lifestyle

Gen 7 - Tulip (orange, red)

You have a strong connection to the natural world. Perhaps in a previous life you were a plant? You care deeply about nature and and wouldn’t do anything to upset its balance. So you move out into the countryside to live in the middle of nowhere, finally one with the natural world.

Aspiration: Country caretaker

Traits: Vegetarian, good, freegan

Career: None

Skills: Cross stitching, juice fizzing, handiness

•Join the Scouts as a child

•Live in Henford-on-Bagley your whole adult life

•Live on a lot with the lot challenges ‘Simple living’ and ‘Off-the-grid’

•Earn money by selling juice, carvings, and produce on a yard sale stand (you will have to buy power generating objects - wind turbine/power generator - to get the juice fizzer working)

•Befriend all ‘important’ Henford-on-Bagley villagers

•*Gain the Health Food Nut lifestyle

•*Complete the Insect Collection

Gen 8 - Lily (white, green)

Hearing the strange myths and seeing the ancient ruins around Henford-on-Bagley gave you an interest in the supernatural from a young age. Growing up you discovered rumours of magical people living around Glimmerbrook, so when you become a young adult you decide to investigate further.

Aspiration: Spellcraft and sorcery

Traits: Bookworm, squeamish, genius

Career: Potion seller

Skills: Logic, gourmet cooking, herbalism

•Become a spellcaster

•Earn money by owning and running a shop selling (mainly) potions

•Live in Glimmerbrook your whole adult life

•Bond with every type of magical familiar

•Become good friends with all 3 sages

•Marry another spellcaster

•*Complete the Magical Artefact Collection

Gen 9 - Pansy (purple, yellow)

You were surrounded by trees for your entire childhood, and so you’ve always craved a change of scenery. You’ve never seen the ocean, until you spontaneously decide to move to the far off land of Sulani! Relaxing on the sand, immersed in island culture, partying till the sun comes up - what could be better?

Aspiration: Beach life

Traits: Lazy, child of the ocean, music lover

Career: Conservationist

Skills: Comedy, guitar, mischief

•Fall in love with a merperson, but wait until you’re an elder to marry them

•Host a Kava party at least once a week

•Write at least 5 songs on the guitar

•Restore Sulani to its natural beauty

•*Gain the Junk Food Fiend lifestyle

•*Complete the Seashell Collection

Gen 10 - Hydrangea (dark blue, pink)

While your parent is content to spending all day relaxing on the beach, you’ve always had larger ambitions. The quaint island life is not for you, so as soon as you can you apply for university to build a reputable career for yourself. However, you’ve always found joy in things other people may think are childish, which may distract you from your career from time to time. You dream of living in a large house filled with love and family.

Aspiration: Mansion Baron

Traits: Outgoing, family orientated, childish

Career: Law

Skills: Parenting, research and debate, writing

•Graduate university and gain the Language and Literature degree

•Marry a sim who also has the ‘childish’ trait

•Have at least 4 children

•Every time your children bring home a school project, help them finish it

*Gen 11 - Death flower (dark red, white)

You’ve always known you were different from everyone else. Your siblings were always nice to you and had ambitions to do good in the world. You were born with no such morals. You hear legends of powerful vampires, with inhuman strength and living for multiple lifetimes. You want that power. And will stop at nothing to get it.

Aspiration: Public enemy

Traits: Evil, art lover, kleptomaniac

Career: Criminal

Skills: Pipe organ, flower arranging, mixology

•Live in Forgotten Hollow your whole adult life

•Become a vampire and reach Grand Master level

•Always drink from sims, never plasma fruit

•Have a secret flower garden

•Sire at least 5 vampires
