🌈 ⭐️ 💻 🌼 🎙️ 📚 🎀 🥇 😍 📌
Tumblr media
🌈 ― aesthetically pleasing blog
@fatedriven - ain't nobody does graphics like neo tbh and i love feasting my little eyeballs on whatever fun styles they come up with this time!
⭐️ ― convincing portrayal of a canon character
@kikun - i have loved gem's wanderer for... almost a year now? how long has it been? still one of my fave portrayals of any genshin character to date. i love him so much.
💻 ― excellent writing
my beloved @cloudhymn / @wulvend. i don't care how depressed or sick or dead in the water with a muse i am. nine's writing and portrayals will ALWAYS pull me (and my muses) from wherever the hell i am to want to instantly respond. truly such a privilege to rp with this little cryptid and develop my muses alongside them. nine's excellent writing has made me a better writer as well, and for that i cannot thank them enough.
🌼 ― creative headcanons
@caelune and every single one of rei's muses! i love love LOVE seeing what they come up with (from jy's leonine traits, to childe's love languages). it's always such a fun little treat to behold and then see how said headcanons influence their portrayal down the road.
🎙️ ― great to talk to
@dhahabibi - compelling characters, compelling ideas, and compelling conversation. i have spent half of our plotting giggling and twirling my hair. i loooove discussing plots with muns that are passionate for their muses, and i can definitely get that vibe here! <3
📚 ― nice threads to read
@ayahimes - i'm an astrid simp and would spend half my night reading anything and everything they wrote if my adhd didn't constantly have me pulled away. everything astrid touches turns to gold, and i love reading their writing - ESPECIALLY regarding female muses. they are all so powerful and diverse, and it's something i absolutely ADORE digesting.
🎀 ― all-around kind person
@baishouqijia - light of my life. i have known you since i joined this rpc, dima, and you are one the kindest - funniest bitches i know. even when we aren't writing i greatly value your friendship and the life advice and ears you've given me. a real one, my pantalone.
🥇 ― well-developed oc
@holyfell - and any original character that owen produces tbh. every. single. one. of. them. i don't think i have a favorite because they are all so unique and provide unique relationships to my muses at well. it's always so fun seeing what you come up with owen, from graphics to headcanons to back stories and is honestly a privilege. zhongli misses his husband tho.
😍 ― admiring from afar
@galactia - 👉👈 the kaeya and zhongli portrayals are really a fun little privilege to read, and though we haven't interacted, know that i love your stuff and enjoy seeing what shenanigans you come up with.
📌 ― a staple on the dash
@resolutepath - catch me following charlie from any blog at anytime, anywhere! it is simply a given, and you can pry this multimuse from my cold, dead hands.

WHATS WITH THE DEMISEXUAL HATE RECENTLY?
You have me to blame for that apparently haha. Ever since I revealed my sexual and romantic preferences a small handful of Karen’s have been going around and basically calling anyone that identifies their male characters who identify as biromantic - demisexual and have anything remotely similar to my own characters are me and they are harassing groups into believing these people are me and those people getting kicked out or staying regardless has both been happening so it’s been interesting to see. Also gained access to multiple groups that keep a Google doc of their characters sexual and romantic preferences. Not sure if that’s a little too invasive or not as many people didn’t even know such a doc existed.
Either way, it’s interesting to see these like 3 people that actively stalk me and many they think are me, are so ‘inclusive and lgbt+ friendly’ and yet are bashing bisexual/demisexual/biromantic people. Phobic much?
Granted, me and my roleplay buddies have gone through it again for myself and my romantic and sexual ‘status’ I guess is the right word is actually something else as I’m only ‘mostly’ in the demisexual category and even more romantic preferences are ‘mostly’ biromantic so finding out what to actually put has been a fun journey and I’ve updated it for all my active and future characters.
And low key, some of the anons I’ve seen people get on me ‘coming out’ on some groups are from some of the people that had an issue with it, some are from me as well. Not all are true though, just saying hahaha.
WHAT GROUPS ARE YOU IN?
I’m in a total of seven right now. Two right now that I made myself by just revamping my two old ones and changing names of things around and none of the stalkers have found it yet despite me actively advertising them. I’m a member turned staff on three supernatural groups. And I’m on two ‘slice of life’ ones that are just something to do when I’m all caught up on posts on the other 5. Low key eyeing a a different group as well so we’ll see. It only takes me a couple of minutes to post 500+ word posts so I can basically rapid fire good sized posts within minutes. It’s something I’ve been doing for years.
I do also have a semi private group I made on discord for some friends that were still wanting to do something of a mix between the WOTNA group and my super powers one so I made the server and set it up and me and about 8 other people post in it with that tupper bot. Half are from those WOTNA days and the other half come from the second time j opened my abilities group here. They kind of wanna open it to others. So we’ll see if it’ll become my 8th group.
ANY MORE OPS LIKE THE OLIVE ONE?
Nope and to be honest, Lover of olives was the first one I had any active part in for years now. Nine and a half years ago when that psycho Raven lied Bali me just to get people to join their failed group, yeah I went a little hard on getting the rph blogs that sent their followers at me to shut down. I got a good chunk of them to do so to. Then I stopped and just did me. Some of the remaining ones just faded away on their own. Then a few of those whose groups I was in but had no issues on got mad that I opened a group in the same genre as their dead one and got uppity, they disappeared on their own or when someone revealed how they would steal characters from old members.
Lover of olives was the last rph from the beginning still around. Then I made friends with a few people that knew what nat was really like from my actual discord account. Saw they had everything they needed to expose her but were to chicken shit to do so. So I gave gentle pushes in the right spots and let others take care of it.
It’s like I said to people. Those that are obsessed with me and claim I’m problematic but have ZERO EVIDENCE TO SHOW and those that try to police the rpc are the same and have problematic pasts and actions themselves. They will get exposed even if it takes a gentle push or not.
ANY WORD ON THOSE TAKING OVER YOUR LEGACY?
Actually yes. I’ve had spoken with both people. Both of them seem to want to do so for more troll reasons. They are 20 something’s that want to see the world burn and out of all the ‘problematic people’ they were told of I’m apparently the only one who there is no evidence actually linking me to anything. And the stories made up on me which all three of us have contributed to by the way, are a fun little thing.
I’ve given them both access to my one discord account that’s been passed around at this point so they have already started their test runs as it were.its one male and one woman so we’ll start to see where they take the nolanverse from here.
Also low key training an AI to be Nolan and girl, so far this thing is more devious than I ever was claimed to be. It’s given me a few good ideas to put into place when I depart the Nolan alias in the coming couple of months. So you might see three That Nolan around here as I go on my day as myself that the stalkers don’t know and even befriended as I shared a few of my own ‘Nolan stories’ haha

for the oc-creator relationship asks ^^ (finally got time to get to this one ;w; ) 📼 🎙️ 📻 🎮 👾
Hiiii, how have you been doing?! I'm so happy to see you around! :D Thank you so much for sending me some asks, I really missed answering those. ♥
Alright, let's gooo!
📼 - Which OC is your favorite?
Tumblr media
I'm gonna be so biased for this, but...my girl Myline. She has a very simple design but our history is priceless...I've had her for almost two decades now, she was the first character I ever created and has so so much value to me! I met one of my favorite people because of her back when Naruto RPCs were super popular, we are friends to this day!
Myline is not just an original character for me, she symbolizes all the good and bad moments of my life and was always there for me, Myline is coming to the grave with me. :P
🎙️ - Which OC is liked in their universe that you do not like?
Tumblr media
Gotta give this one to Dakarai, that abusive piece of poop. He is basically the typical wanna be hero, he hides his true self from others while abusing his family and being the worst son of a gun ever behind their back.
📻 - Which OC is disliked in their universe that you like?
Tumblr media
And...Myline again. :'D She is considered as a terrorist and even her kid gets the side eye despite having nothing to do with her mother because people are full of prejudice and can't really think for themselves.
She literally has been pursued by the Five Great Shinobi Countires (especially by Kumogakure) in Boruto, even though Akatsuki was long gone, my girl can get no rest.
I guess this quote of her says a lot:
"My hands may be the ones covered in blood right now but the reality you refuse to see is that I am not the one standing proudly over a thousand dead bodies"
🎮 - Which OC is the worst person, in your opinion?
Tumblr media
Since the question says "person", I will go with my humanoids and Masha is by far the worst. She is a cannibal and that alone says a lot already, but she is also vindictive, remorseless and impulsive, this along with how street smart and sneaky she is makes her quite scary.
👾 - Which OC is the best person, in your opinion?
Tumblr media
My precious girl Aisha, for sure! Believe me when I say this woman had all the right to turn into a villain (I actually have an AU of her where she is but it's mostly for RP purposes with a friend of mine) but she never lost her hope and strength to fight for a better future...and what a great future she would build for herself, turning into a woman of power!
She is very social, friendly, hardworking and open-minded, with very strong humanitarian traits and the kind of friend you think about calling when you need that help. Whenever people ask me which OC of mine I'd like to be I always say Aisha. :P

When you make yourself sad by realizing that you have only one actual idoltwt mutual, and that goes into realizing why you’re so iffy over all your idol muses since no one really cares about those in the rpc anymore, and then you say you’re cool but your brain goes “kotori’s still been around for the past couple of years just through ship threads alone, right?” and you want to say no but then you remember all your idol rpc mutuals are nonexistent now, and now you’re debating putting her on your multi because you know your brain is right but you’ll be damned if you ever get rid of her as a muse because you love her far too much.
#;big bubble blowing baby! ( ooc )#( will she actually get moved to the multi? debatable#it'd certainly help me not forget her as much myself#since even though rpc is kind of dead#idol rpc is Truly Dead#like who is still alive out there?? hello??? echo????#kotori is one of the muses i'd never get rid of honestly#since i love her / the memories i made through her throughout the years too much#but literally for the past couple years i've rped nothing but ship threads#and i love all of them!!!#and they aren't all inherently shippy to be fair#but it's all been with mutuals who play characters i ship with kotori#and all the threads have been with those characters#and most of those threads have been super soft or got dropped halfway b/c life made me lose motivation for it#i think i have kind of the problem my friend wars has#except i can rp mundane slice-of-life and love it#but just the pull of even just a bit more complexity with diantha / prunella#even just a bit more action with vane / vikala#other muses in my multi could fit into both of those categories besides the idol ones#i also know part of it is a debate i literally just had with myself#because i have verses with those idol muses#and I think they could be really engaging and complex and contain good movement in general#but when i was debating making a starter here; looking over all the verses i had for kotori#would they be interesting for anyone else?#would anyone actually interact with that?#rp and writing are hobbies but also two different things#and i could write little fanfics for all the aus i've thought up whenever i want to and be satisfied#but i don't think anyone would actually interact with them in an rp setting; where interaction is basically one of the main points#so even with all these things i think are interesting that i made for those muses#everyone will opt for the muse they like best

Sorry if this isn't the place to ask but I'm in need of advice. I have a canon character I truly adore, but I haven't gotten muse or any opportunity to write them at all. My blog is collecting dust and the fandom is kinda dead at this point. Not to mention, it's hard to find compatible writing partners, especially with how picky I can be. I'm honestly considering deactivating the blog (for the nth time), but I don't want to lose the writing I have. I know I could archive, but I hate having blogs just sitting around.
In short, I really want to write the muse/keep the blog but I'm not getting any incentive to do that.
Hello, Anon, it’s totally the place to ask!
I will say, though, that since finding and keeping muse can be flavored rather personally, I can’t promise that what works for me is going to work for you. I’ll even confess that in over two decades, I’ve never personally lost muse. I don’t know if it is due to underlying, neurodiverse style, fixating, or if it is due to keeping myself continually invested in both my muse and writing regardless of what else is going on. (Probably a combination of both, though, and the things I do to keep myself highly in touch with my muse I’ll be recommending.) I’m definitely happy to try to help, however.
Tumblr media
That really is a very frustrating spot to be in, wanting to write the muse and keep your blog active, but logging in every day to be reminded of what little reason you have to do so. Since we’re drawn to the characters we are for reasons of personal appeal and writing in itself is a pretty personal form of art, it can also feel depressing on top of the frustration.
However, that’s also the good news, in my opinion, because your incentive here is, or can be, yourself.
You were drawn to this character because you connected with them. They mean something to you, you can relate to them, maybe they have qualities (good or bad) that you wish you could experience. Whatever it is, there’s a reason why you had this draw. Writing is like that as well, there’s a reason why this is a hobby that drew you, that you get enjoyment out of. Again, though all art (it doesn’t matter if it is a hobby) has personal bits of the artist in it, writing is uniquely personal. When you write, you’re exploring thoughts and feelings, giving them life in a character that matters to you. I know, all of that sounds really convoluted and hokey, but it’s true.
And it’s good! That means you always have a reason to write and that you have the tools necessary to find and keep muse without any outside push necessary.
I’d say, firstly, work on getting muse back.
Get back in touch with your muse the next time you feel a particularly strong urge to write. Instead of spending time trying to find people in a silent fandom or forcing yourself to write something you don’t want to, just do some exercises that will help you get back into your muse.
I don’t know what media type your character comes from, but especially if it is something like movie or show that you can have on in the background of what you’re doing, do that. If it’s a comic or a book, think about your favorite scene and read it over first. If you’ve ever made some playlists for writing/your muse, you can always do that instead or as well. The point is to do something passively inspiring while you actively create. Now, that creating...
You want to do something that requires you to think about your muse so you can get in touch with them, not something that is going to make you feel overwhelmed and shut down. So, maybe don’t pick writing prompts for this - you can work up to that. Try out headcanon and character development memes and other question lists instead for right now. Things you can scroll down a list of, find questions that jump out as interesting (or even simply answerable to you at this point, you’re jump-starting a dead battery, it’s alright) and answer them. You can also do something as simple as write down what you like best about the character or their story, or put down the basics of filling in missing information that has always bugged you.
The beauty of this is that it is all on your own terms, your only objective here is to answer what you want, as much as you want. You can stop any time, but you can also answer a single question for three hours, making it eight pages long if the inspiration strikes you. It’s only about recharging your inspiration and establishing a connection with your character again. (This is also going to help you with getting back into writing, or approaching it for the first time, with a more internalized focus of interest.)
When you feel like you’ve done that, you can branch out on these exercises more. Answer the memes more in-depth, answer more of them/the ones you don’t have immediate answers for. You can also try writing out scenes from the character’s canon from their perspective, if it wasn’t already so, adding in their thoughts and feelings, or changing the scene in some ways that would be interesting to write out. This is the point where it’s a good idea to try a writing prompt or two, as well! Take the prompt as a sort of starter sentence from a mutual, you’ve got the situation, fill in with your muse.
Write when you feel like writing. The RPC is great at saying this when it comes to muns not wanting to write, but kind of ignores the other side of the equation. The side where you want to write, have the inspiration and muse to do so, but it might not be the best time. As in, you’re not home/wherever you usually write, with whatever device you tend to write on accessible. No, you’re not going to be able to get as much done, but you can write without the usual situation and device regardless. You can write a scene or ideas down using your phone or tablet, or go old school and use a notebook. If you’re at work and your job isn’t applicable to being able to get down a single sentence, that still doesn’t mean you have to wait 8+ hours to get home; while you’re taking your break, write a little bit. It is a break, and writing is your hobby, it isn’t work. It’s good to do things you enjoy on breaks, and far more fulfilling to have also accomplished something you happen to enjoy.
Not writing when you have the drive to do, putting it off and holding it in until “the perfect moment,” is a great way to lose your inspiration and never actually have that moment. If you feel like doing it, that means it is the perfect moment. Life is restricting, don’t impose even more restrictions on yourself by having to be at home, in a specific spot, with a specific device, at a specific time, on a specific day. Was that annoying repetition? You’re right, it was. And that’s how your creative mind processes all the crap piled onto it that doesn’t allow for creativity.
Now, the other problem, the fandom situation.
There isn’t anything you can do about that, to be absolutely honest. I’m not going to blow smoke and tell you to be positive, wait it out, maybe the fandom will spring to life again. You know, maybe it will...but you could be waiting literal decades for that to happen. Not cool. Please, take my word for that, it’s personal experience that it blows even more than you imagine it will.
What you can do is take the matter into your own hands in other ways; putting yourself out there with more availability in multiple ways.
Are you a single-fandom blog, or are you crossover friendly? If you’re not crossover friendly, try to think of a single, relatively popular fandom that you enjoy. Don’t look at it like a hassle, but rather, just another creative exercise. A serious pitfall of creating alternate universe versions of muses is to take the simplest route, merely picking something you want from that other universe and applying it to your muse with no relevant changes that would naturally occur from it. It isn’t just reductive as hell, it’s not remotely creative, it’s like sticking a sticker on your muse’s forehead and saying that’s a whole different muse. It’s neither attractive to potential partners nor going to sustain your own interest for long. You want this to be a passionate investment on your own end, for yourself.
What not to do:
Let’s say the fandom you picked to do crossovers with is based around magic, the main characters are witches, and they are divided into factions based on how their magical talents display and develop. Not only do you decide to make your muse a witch, you pick the most badass faction. It’s the one full of assassins and action and (metaphorically or literally) sex appeal. Well, that’s also going to be the most popular faction in the fandom. That means there will not only be plenty of big name canons there but also that there’s going to be a plethora of OCs designed just for this universe...and other crossovers from other currently active fandoms.
While that might sound like it’s great for maximizing interaction chances, it’s really not when you’re just starting somewhere new with a character from another fandom that might not be known or liked. It can also take a minute in another fandom’s RPC to identify where the good partners are. Every now and then, it is the most popular and over-populous era/faction/etc., but most of the time, it isn’t. People who write with considerable dedication and talent fairly rarely are in the popular kids club even in their fandom choices. By inserting yourself into that area, you might be bypassing (and being bypassed) by better partners on the assumption that their characters are simply going to bore you to death since they’re not within the scope of your focal point.
It’s not a situation of not being allowed to be picky, you not only have that right regardless of your situation, you also should be. This is not a “beggars can’t be choosers” situation, you’re not beholden to anyone on the basis of being new and bored. However, some of my best, and longest lasting, writing partners over all 23 years I’ve been RPing didn’t/don’t fit with all the exact surface details that automatically draw my interest. It is as true within my own fandom as it is in dealing with crossovers. Opposites (with enough similarities) really do attract and work out well together!
Don’t judge and write people off for anything that isn’t an issue of compatibility with your muse, your writing, or yourself. Decline someone because they do one line only and you are novella, they write topics that are upsetting to you, you can see no way your muse and theirs can interact without instant murder, or because you cannot stand writing with someone who is pulling 90% aesthetics and purple prose. Not because their muse is a witch who uses life-based magic, loves nature, is a healer, and into their health...while your muse in this AU is all about the death, only appreciates an urban environment and is grossed out by animals, kills as an occupation, lives on cheeseburgers and caffeine. You see what I’m saying? Don’t limit yourself unnecessarily!
What to do:
Did you consider if, in that hypothetical idea of a fandom, your muse based on their purely canon self would even fit into that faction? Or is it just something you wanted to see? If you didn’t consider this, or it was the latter, fix that. That’s bad.
If you’re not absolutely dead set on that and only that, think about what really does fit the muse better. Maybe, they would be better as a healer, someone who messes with the very fabric of reality, or someone who manipulates natural elements at will. Then again, they might not even be a witch. They could be more mundane in terms of power, but more accurate and interesting as a normal, human (or whatever). They could even be greatly opposed to the use of magic and witches. Use your muse’s original canon as a base to decide these things.
If you are absolutely dead set on it, though, you have a lot of work to do making the character into what amounts to a markedly different one while still retaining some recognizable aspects of themselves. Consider what events, in this new universe of fandom, might have happened to alter the character thus. Keep in mind that even small changes can have great consequences in a character’s development, and you might need to think about the myriad ways in which that can display, how it changes still more things for this character.
While that job becomes so much more intense when you haven’t planned out a path that matches your muse’s canon characterization at all, it is still an important part of constructing an AU, of any kind, in general. Ask yourself what experiences led to the character you know as you already know them (including your own headcanons, yes). Then, find similar possible experiences within your new fandom verse that can have the same effect. Again, though, it’s important to understand that you are never going to have an identical set of experiences, so you need to explore relevant changes still.
When you do this, you’re allowing your muse to more seamlessly fit into this other universe in a fleshed out, interesting way. Interesting both new partners and yourself.
Okay, next obnoxious question from me! Do you have multiple verses, or are you single-verse?
Whether you are already exploring new fandoms or not, by creating a variety of verses for others to interact with, you’re increasing your chances for interest and activity. When you have a verse from a different fandom you can then, additionally, advertise your presence in both that fandom’s tags when you do a promo or applicable open starter and on active RPer lists for that fandom.
Every popular fandom has such lists. You can get on them by messaging/sending an ask to the blog or by reblogging their post to be added, following the directions. I haven’t seen one yet that doesn’t allow for crossovers. You simply have to tag it as stated in the post, such as “your canon’s name here - original fandom name - crossover.” By tagging your open starter or promo as “-insert fandom here- rp” and “-fandom here- open starter” you allow people in that fandom to find you to interact. Either way is excellent for getting started in totally new places with a character others might be unfamiliar with.
Please remember that if you tag a promo as “promo,” it’ll not show up in searches off of your blog. You know, where it actually needs to be searched. Thanks, tumblr, for being janky! Being more specific as to the fandom and character will help others actually find you. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot by tagging it as “promo.”
Make your verses accessible on your blog itself, in the nature of those verses, and how you set up your page or post that lists them.
Don’t put any page behind an impossible or complicated aesthetic. You really shouldn’t anyway, but when you’re needing interactions, it’s actively hurting your chances. Many people don’t want to have to play a game with your theme, it’s a turn off. Try a pinned post that lists all of your links to important pages like rules, verses, and bio instead. It means that, even from the dash, that information can quickly be found while other muns are first interested, and also that anyone who might be using the app can access it more expediently. (I’m genuinely not a fan or big supporter of doing google docs for rules, verses, bios, etc., as it forces people off site, so I can’t personally say, in good conscious and honesty, that I’d recommend it, but you do you!) You want to keep things quickly accessible is the idea here; when people are interested, you want to catch them right then and there before they have a chance to forget and lose your blog.
As to the nature of the verses themselves, give people real options. Don’t have 20 verses that all read same way. Same themes, plot possibilities, and backstories, or incredibly similar names. Have a diverse list of verses that can act as foundations for a variety of different muns. As many fandoms as you can reasonably have a good portrayal of, and different types of fandoms; not all the same genre (all fantasy, all horror, all scifi). Verses where your muse has substantially different goals, occupations, and other life situations that will involve another muse; don’t make your muse A Warrior™ in every verse, you can keep plenty of those aspects without being that literal. People love “modern” verses set in our own universe and, usually, in our own era. That doesn’t mean you have to go stereotypical or otherwise bore yourself by doing the standard “high school/college verse,” for instance. You don’t even have to designate that sort of thing, let alone make it the focus; simply create the verse by considering what your character really would be like if they existed within your reality.
As a final note on verses as pertains to this point, when you’re doing crossover verses, it’s alright to do some verses where your muse from their own canon existence somehow ends up teleported or whatever to another fandom’s reality, or even our own. Just don’t make every verse like this, it puts the onus of a great deal of creativity and effort onto the other mun by default; your muse has cluelessly dropped into the universe, and while it is high drama time for you, the other mun has to babysit, educate, deal with fallout, etc.
On making the list of your verses accessible, you want to focus on ease of browsing and not being overwhelming. People tend to look through a verse page and not read every verse listed, rather, they look at the titles and breakdowns to see if it is of interest, then read it. Don’t try to make everyone read them all, it isn’t going to happen, and shouldn’t change your effort any as the right people are going to find the verses that interest them...if you make it clear and easy enough.
Have a basic format you stick to, firstly. I do it this way: small verse banner, title of verse (linked to its overall tag so that muns can look through the tag at headcanons, aesthetics, pictures of the FC, and threads), muse age/age range, small blurb, possible triggers found uniquely or just heavily within this verse. In that order, one following the other in a simple, but pleasing way. Below that, is a more in depth breakdown of the “verse canon.” Sometimes, that is giving a brief rehashing of canon itself and anywhere my muse differs, be it in this verse only or overall, ending with where my muse is in this verse. Not literally where. I mean their present occupation, emotional and general state in life. At the very end, I provide any other relevant links and/or an expansion on the triggers mentioned at the top of the verse description if they’re that serious/recurrent so that muns can decide this isn’t the verse for them. I happen to have a potentially triggering muse, triggering verses, and writing triggering topics, though. That’s not something everyone needs to do.
Secondly, group your verses in a sensible way. I do my short list of default verses first. (And, I do mean short, you don’t want this be any more than four or five, it is overwhelming right out of the gate.) For me, that is two default verses of canon at different points on the timeline, one default AU that is a bit of a reversal of canon, and one default “modern” verse. Then, I list the verses that are in line with the altered canon one, just different possibilities, changes, points in history. After that, the different “modern” verse options. Then, verses for other fandoms, the crossover verses. And so on. This way, a potential partner can find the type of verse that might appeal to them and have an easier time picking from those possibilities and getting ideas.
Lastly, don’t be so succinct that you give too little information and underwhelm, but also don’t be so excessive that it takes all of the mystery of interaction away and overwhelms someone. It can be a difficult balance to strike, and some verses require more information than others, just experiment a bit. Additionally, it’s fine to link to pertinent information for the other mun to view aside from this, but don’t just link people to a fandom wiki as your “description/bio.” That isn’t giving information on how you write this muse, approach this fandom, or what another mun can otherwise expect. Keeping your descriptions interesting is important, you’re not giving a boring lecture, you’re trying to inform someone while making them hyped for their choices. It’s more interesting, and informative, to read if you do them with an ear to the “tone” of your muse in that verse. Is it a sad one? Sound that way. These can, indeed, function as snippets of your writing, so be sure you are writing them with the same care you should be giving your replies; spellcheck, good word flow and use, mind the grammar, and read over what you’ve written for common, easy mistakes.
Again, by giving a genuine variety of verses to choose from, you’re allowing for a greater reach in potential partners. Everyone from those still in your original fandom to those in new ones, all the way to fandomless muses will be able to interact with you this way.
Finally, in regards to what you can change or do when you’re in a dead fandom and seeking interactions; make sure you are increasing your reach by using proper tags, being honest about what and how you write, and don’t wait for others to stumble across you.
When you use tags properly, you’re increasing your chances of being seen at all. Every time you post something at all applicable on your blog, tag it with relevant things. Tag as described above with whatever fandom it is and “RP,” your character’s name, “open RP,” character name and RP, indie RP, open starter, and so on. Be sure you are optimizing your tags by placing the most relevant to finding you in the first four, those are what show up in site-wide searches only. Anything after that isn’t going to appear in a search across all tumblr.
By tagging your character’s name, as a canon, you should know that you are likely to get personal blog interaction. I’m pretty against being nasty to personal blogs for no reason, as I don’t appreciate personal and fandom blogs being shitty to me for the sole reason that I am an RPer. Please, use clear, short, attention getting directions for them. If you want no interactions with them, put right in the description of your blog “RP blog, does not interact with personal blogs.” When you say things like, “personals dni,” or “personals blocked,” you’re not doing anyone any favors. Personal blogs often don’t even know what the hell a personal blog even is! They do not denote themselves this way, to a personal blog, they’re just a blog. By designating first that you are an RP blog, you’re making it clearer that they’re the personal; they’re obviously not an RP blog, so that must make them a personal. Follow this up in a pinned post, right on top. Give a note to personal blogs that describes them as “any blog that isn’t an RP blog” first, then either tell them in brief what they can and can’t do or that you don’t interact and will block.
I don’t recommend taking your blog off of being findable, however. That’s alright once you have the RP activity you are looking for, but until then, it’s working against you. Other RP blogs cannot easily find you either, they will only find you if you’re on a list or appear in their recommended blogs, if you interact with a mutual, or are recommended by a mutual. You’re not just lessening your chances of personal blogs finding you, so if you have that turned off, turn it back on.
Don’t entirely rely on others finding you regardless, though. You can’t be 100% passive when you have no interactions, and by relying solely on serendipity you’re far less likely to get them. I know that everyone here is terminally shy, but seriously, you have to do more than put your silent will into the universe that someone perfect find you. You have to make this happen. Once you get a few people, you can afford to be more passive. Not only do you have some people to write with, you will be more visible to their mutuals, and more established as a presence. I’m not saying this is easy, or that it will become easy, not awkward or stressful, if you have a legitimate issue behind the shyness. Just that it is the only way to really proceed, and I believe you can do it!
So, go looking for interesting blogs. Be crossover and OC friendly (again, this doesn’t mean “accept everyone,” there are valid reasons for not accepting people you won’t work out with that have nothing to do with their fandom or being an OC), and search those fandom’s RPCs, following any blogs you think you might work out with upon reading their rules and other pages. Search for fandomless OCs and do the same thing. Fandomless OCs aren’t just floating around in the ether, they just weren’t created expressly for a particular fandom and within its confines. What is excellent about that is their ability to have a wide variety of verses and many possibilities to fit into any fandom or verse. So, don’t count them out solely on the basis of being an OC and fandomless. It doesn’t mean what people seem to think it does!
Do not stop at having followed 50 blogs. I mean, other than that you probably should stop following people for a bit. That you should do, as you need to be building writing relationships here, not following so many people that you cannot get to them. Don’t just stop at the follow, though. Since you’ve read their rules and information like a good RP partner, you should have some idea of what their interests are and where they align with yours, as well as how they prefer to be approached, if they accept memes right away to start, need plotting, have a rules password. When they’ve followed you back, proceed with interaction!
Ask if they’d like to plot when they have time, you’re really looking forward to writing with them. But...have some idea of a plot, please. It is a serious turn off to have someone message you wanting to plot, only to reply and get “lol I don’t have any ideas, anything works for me/whatever you want to do.” That isn’t plotting, it’s one party coming up with ideas and constructing a plot while they’re being told “I’m fine with anything.” That may be true, but it’s disheartening and a red flag for many people. If you genuinely can’t come up with anything, pick verses that match up well and suggest doing something within them.
“When you have the time, would you be interested in discussing writing? I was looking at your verses, and I think your verse -name- and mine, -verse name-, would mesh well.” Is a good way to start. Once you have a discussion flowing about the verses meshing and the muses, it’s typically easy to organically develop some plot ideas to go off of.
If both you and the other mun are alright with plot-free interaction and memes, you can send a meme any time. If you can’t find any memes on their blog, look for a wishlist or navigation page that shows you the tags for memes/wishlist. Still can’t find it? Ask them if they’ve got a wishlist or meme tag you can look through.
Additionally, if open starters are a thing you both do and are alright with, find some of theirs and respond. Post your own, tag it appropriately to be found in general and on your blog, and reblog it once or twice. Don’t excessively reblog it, and don’t get upset on the dash if no one interacts with it or any memes you reblog. Both are demanding to outright guilting, and not a good way to get partners. Just provide them with the ability to easily interact by making the posts available in the first place and by making them findable on your blog search and navigation.
Provide something for potential partners to see. Since you said you already do have writing, that’s great! That’s content on your blog that your partners can view. However, since you’re also having the issues you’ve stated, it’s likely that you haven’t many new posts. Show that you are active, interested in being here, and how you write your muse (and in general) by posting some newer content. For original content, do a headcanon or some meta, or post about new verses you are adding, the changes on your blog, a promo. For reblogs, things pertaining to your muse like canon imagery, fanart, quotes from canon or that generally express your muse, and aesthetics relevant to your muse are all excellent things to queue.
Use that queue. Not only do very few people appreciate having dash spam of similar content for the comparatively short time you might be around, but also, running these things on a queue means you spread that out for maximum view. While there are hours of heavier activity, you’ll have mutuals who are on at unusual hours due to their life and preferences or their timezone. This way, you’re not appearing inactive, if not outright invisible, to those mutuals. It’s not a bad idea to use a queue tag so that people know if they interact with a post that’s been queued, you might be here to quickly respond.
Ultimately, to fix your fandom and lacking partners problem, you just need to up your availability and reach beyond that fandom alone. Be proactive in following and approaching, decline blogs based on not working out only, utilize tags and fandom RPer lists, have everything on your blog easy to follow and not overwhelming, and have your verses meet as wide of a range of people as possible while also not being overwhelming.
Try updating your promo, as well, by the way. They’re not dead, they just really tanked when people kept making them based solely on aesthetic principle instead of being at all informative about the muse. They do seem to be coming back, so it’s a thing to consider.
Yes, make it visually appealing, it will draw people to reading it. No, do not just use a song lyric or quote with words highlighted linking your rules, verses, bio. Tell people basic info like the age of your muse and yourself, if you are multiverse and multiship, your muse’s canon verse and a couple of big interest verses of other major fandoms or themes that tend to be of interest to people, and what kind of RP you write - one line/para/multipara/novella. Absolutely give links to rules, verses, bio, and either memes, wishlist, or open starters, but give them just like that; make it very clear what this link is to. Put a very short statement of interest on there denoting that you’re expanding to new fandoms and looking for writing partners.
Do not sound desperate, demanding, or devaluing of yourself. Don’t say shit like “because my fandom is dead,” “trying this before I give up and delete my blog,” or “I suck at interaction/writing/ooc interaction/being a person but welp giving it a try, so follow and hit that heart.” (Conversely, calling yourself derogatory things and implying that your partners are too, such as the “we’re all just losers here” shit.) All of the above are not attractive, and they’re not even surprising enough to stand out anymore. It’s another reason to scroll right by that promo because nothing at all was different or of interest.
And as a wrap-up/rehash of the first topic, getting muse back: try starting over at the beginning by approaching the media involving your muse that has really stuck with you emotionally over the years, and exploring and developing your muse again.
Don’t tell yourself you can only write, for example, at home, on the laptop, after 7pm, and with a pop toy staring at you. The best thing about writing, as opposed to so many other hobbies, is that you can do it anywhere! So, do that. Do it any time you both feel the inspiration to do so and aren’t going to get fired or expelled for it. This isn’t work, it’s something enjoyable that does take effort (like literally all creative activities and skills do), but approaching it as though you need to follow novel writing advice from someone who has never published anything of note and isn’t you on the internet, with strict rules for success makes it feel that way. So does being frustrated with a dead fandom, no interaction. It’s disheartening, feels as annoying and fruitless as work often does. You probably need to break out of that mindset, and you can only do it by beginning to allow yourself to be creative on your own terms, entirely for yourself.
Do write simple things at first that you are inspired to do (you can’t get a scene out of your head, or a bit of dialogue), and/or headcanon/character development memes and question lists. Build from there as you get back in touch with your muse, writing things primarily or entirely for yourself still. Expanding on headcanons, doing some meta, or maybe writing out a missing piece of canon or what you’d be interested in seeing happen in canon if some event was altered.
Doing this sort of thing, you are getting in touch with your muse again and back into the real spirit of writing creatively, simultaneously.
Whatever you find most inspiring, do it. If it’s watching the movie or show again, do that, have it on while you write or simply think on the character’s actions, thoughts, and emotions during those scenes. If it’s reading the material again, do that, and read snippets of personal importance before you write. Maybe it’s some past playlists you can have on while writing, or even while you’re cleaning, walking the dog, driving or riding somewhere. It could even be your own previous writing! Go ahead and re-read that, it sounds like you still appreciate it, and that’s truly promising. If you find that you’re horrified by some of the things you’ve written in the more distant past, hey...that’s not just valid as hell, it’s natural. You know what else it is? An inspiration. You can clearly see that you could do better, that means you now know how to do better and are ready to do so. Validate yourself, prove it to yourself by rewriting or fixing something.
Don’t delete the blog or archive it. It is unpleasant to have a dead blog around, but don’t keep it dead. Use the same blog and simply transition it into wider things that will net you more partners and the interactions you deserve.
Look, even if you weren’t the most popular blog in your fandom before it went quiet, you really appreciated the blog, muse, and writing you were doing. You’ve defined that it wasn’t something you did to cause this situation, you just had the shit luck we all run into eventually of being in a fandom that ran out of material or interest. People are really fickle, so by taking a wider approach and fixing on the writing and muse instead of fandom now, you’re stopping this from repeating. Seriously, on a long enough timeline, every fandom dies or goes into hibernation. If you make a whole new blog with a different muse, it is going to happen again eventually.
So, don’t feel like you’re ridiculously clinging to the past and need to move on, you’re just sticking to something and can continue to stick to it through the next five fandom deaths. Just because it is the most popular thing to do to drop muses, constantly add new ones, and have this attitude that you can “blog refresh” your way out of recurrent, and inherent, problem doesn’t mean it is actually the right thing to do. It’s not even the most sensible, and certainly not the best thing to do with anything you’ve spent time and effort on.
That’s your incentive; yourself, the time and care you’ve put in, and your continued interest in writing and the muse. You’ll find good people, and bluntly, everyone else can fuck right off when you’re incentivized by yourself. It becomes a self-fulfilling activity at that point, I swear, and it feels really nice.
Just get back in touch with your muse and writing itself so that you can begin to expand and start interacting again!

HERBERT WEST CHEAT SHEET !
since my muses are not super well known in the contemporary rpc ( and i’m too lazy to do a full about page at this very moment ) i decided to put together little posts for them that give their general backgrounds, vibes, and plot possibilities !
this is a mix of canon and headcanon, and these are subject to change / adapt as i get more used to writing the characters
Tumblr media
BACKGROUND:
Films: Re-Animator 1985, Bride of Re-Animator 1990, Beyond Re-Animator 2003
We don’t talk about Beyond Re-Animator......
Dr. Herbert West, 24 in the first movie, 27 in the second movie, idk like 40 in the third movie. Mad scientist to the MAX. In the novelization Herbert is an orphan who gets passed around in foster homes before eventually going to undergrad at NYU and pursuing his theory about the re-animation of dead tissue. Mostly people think he’s sort of crazy until one of his articles catches the eye of Dr. Hans Gruber at a university in Switzerland, and he invites Herbert to come work alongside him. Herbert eventually grows to respect Gruber as both a mentor and father-figure.
Herbert and Gruber develop a reagent that affects re-animation in dead animal tissue but they know that for their results to be taken seriously they need to do a human trial. Dr. Gruber volunteers but the dosage of the reagent is too large, and though it brings Gruber back to life it quickly overwhelms his system and he dies again. Herbert is taken into psychiatric custody in Switzerland but is eventually released.
Herbert returns to America and specifically sets his sights on Miskatonic Medical School in Arkham, Massachusetts because one of the staff, Dr. Carl Hill, used to work with Gruber years ago, and even went on to plagiarize some of Gruber’s work and publish it in America. Herbert makes it his secondary goal to absolutely terrorize Dr. Hill, and because he’s a chaotic gremlin in human form he’s very good at it.
Herbert continues working on perfecting the reagent, rooming with Dan Cain and eventually pulling Dan into the experiments as well when Dan’s cat dies and Herbert is able to prove his research by reanimating it. Herbert isn’t perturbed when Dan’s talk with Dean Halsey goes south, and just digs his heels in and insists that the only way to truly prove that the reagent works is to reanimate a human cadaver.
Results are just as bad as you’d expect. Sure, the cadaver reanimates but it also wrecks the morgue and kills Dean Halsey. RIP. Herbert insists that they reanimate him and the dean comes back less like himself and more animalistic, trying to kill both Herbert and Dan before his daughter Meg shows up and stops him. Despite it all, Herbert manages to wriggle his and Dan out of any suspicion from the police but Dr. Hill takes an interest in Herbert’s work once he does exploratory surgery of Dean Halsey and finds out he’s technically dead.
Dr. Hill confronts Herbert in his laboratory and threatens to steal Herbert’s work and take it for his own, offering Herbert the meager honour of being his assistant. Herbert promptly murders Hill via decapitation but decides not to let his fresh corpse go to waste and reanimates both Hill’s head and his body, which come back to life and knock Herbert out and steal all of his work.
Yada yada, Herbert gets Dan to help him go after Hill, the big climax happens. Herbert is able to prove his theory about overdose by shooting up Dr. Hill’s headless body with a bunch of reagent, which backfires and Herbert is left for dead all tangled up in Hill’s intestines, but not after he ensures that his research is safe with Dan.
They never explain how Herbert survives the first movie but he sure is alive in the second movie! It’s roughly 3ish years after the first film, so he’s got his doctorate now and he’s drug Dan all the way to Peru so they can be volunteer medics in a civil war. This obviously gives Herbert an unprecedented access to fresh bodies for his experiments.
Eventually he and Dan head back to Miskatonic Hospital, where they’re able to get jobs and a creepy cute little house that used to be a mortuary so they can continue the work. Herbert is now obsessed with the reanimation of separate parts and convinces Dan to help him build an entirely new life from parts. Dan’s not on board until Herbert shows him Megan Halsey’s heart and promises that they’ll build the body around it.
Dr. Hill’s head also somehow survived the first movie and it tries to terrorize Herbert, along with a cop who’s investigating Herbert for stealing corpses. Herbert eventually kills and reanimates the cop, and then gets into even more trouble when all of the other strange creatures he’s been reanimating start coming after him because they’re being mind controlled by Dr. Hill’s nasty head ( don’t ask me okay, this script was written in literally 6 weeks it makes no sense )
Anyway Herbert and Dan successfully bring their creation to life right before getting attacked by Dr. Hill and his army of weirdos, all while Dan is having a mental breakdown because he thinks the creation is his dead girlfriend Meg. In the chaos Dan and the creation escape separately while Herbert and Hill and co. get trapped under buried rubble and are left for dead ( AGAIN ).
But surprise! Herbert isn’t dead! We don’t know how he survived but we do know that at some point in time Dan turned over evidence to the authorities that led to Herbert’s arrest and imprisonment. The third movie picks up with Herbert who’s been in prison for 13 years and the dumbass new hospital doctor is a fanboy of Herbert and brings in some of his reagent. Herbert basically starts a prison riot, chaos ensues, this movie is Not Good, but the important thing is that Herbert escapes prison with his work and gets to walk off free and definitely alive into the night <3
VIBES / PERSONALITY:
His work is EVERYTHING to him -- there have been multiple times where Herbert has put his work above his own bodily safety or chance of survival, and I guarantee he would do it again, too. Herbert is mostly focused on being able to do the impossible simply because it’s “impossible.” He’s able to convince Dan to help him because he reasons the practical applications of his reagent, like saving lives by aiding in surgeries or helping with amputations, but at the end of the day Herbert is only concerned with discovery, acclaim, and giving classical science a big ‘ole middle finger.
He can be incredibly manipulative when looking for a specific action or behavior in the people close to him. This mostly is seen in how he treats Dan, often reeling him back in with promise of how much good their work will do in the world when Dan starts to get squeamish. Herbert is also really good at finding the sorest spots in someone and pressing on them, but usually only does this when he wants to prove a point or if he really hates someone.
He gains a lot of power by seeming like the more “level-headed” person in an altercation, but he can get extremely excitable or aggressive, especially when something goes well with his research or if it’s being threatened.
He’s genuinely a good doctor, doesn’t freak out under pressure, has neutral-good bedside manner, is very decisive and isn’t afraid to make difficult decisions when it comes to a patient’s life. However, Herbert considers himself a scientist first and a doctor second. The work on reanimation will always come before anything else.
He’s a HUGE fucking nerd, he loves making puns or little zingers whenever he can fit them into a conversation. He also likes playing practical jokes, though he doesn’t do it often. He’s got a great evil giggle.
Oh he’s terrible at taking care of himself. There’s a deleted scene from the first movie where Herbert is shown to be injecting himself with a weakened version of the reanimating reagent because it helps keep his brain sharp and makes it to where he doesn’t have to sleep. What a NUT. I think he probably weans off this habit, by force or choice. His sleeping and eating habits are still pretty bad, though. Definitely the kind of person who doesn’t eat/sleep/rest unless he’s genuinely about to collapse because of it.
Oh he’s also sooooooooooo gay. gay gay gay homo sexual.
There are very few people he outright respects or enjoys spending time around, and with everyone else he is absolutely so bitchy and rude. He doesn’t give a single shit about being polite. Also ACAB.
PLOT POSSIBILITIES:
Got any canonically dead muses? Want them to be alive again? Herbert can help with that! He’ll definitely want to make sure they stick around and observe them to see why the reagent worked so well, maybe do some extra tests, so he can also double as a really annoying, creepy roommate. Score!
Med student muses? I have a new classmate for you
Ever wondered what your muse would do if they saw someone graverobbing, or smuggling body parts into their house in the middle of the night? Do they stop him? Ask questions? Offer to help? Now’s the chance to find out!
He could always use a new assistant since Dan keeps abandoning him after every movie, jfc, loyalty is so hard to find these days
Meet-cute where one of his reanimated creations tries to murder you and he saves you from it <3

@2187s LEFT A NIGHTMARE AFTER THE TONE: 🥝🥝🥝🥝🥝 !!!
Tumblr media
@rapturcd - Where to start to describe a friend? Nox is a close online friend whom I’ve had the pleasure of following for the last few years now. We’ve been able to keep up with each other from blog to blog, and continued to do so when she revived this blog right here, a Bioshock oc. I’ll admit that when I saw her move here, I had no clue what the hell Bioshock was other than some video game. I’ve been graced with so many exciting details, passion has been poured into every message and post she makes upon the dash, it instantly made me a fan of this little franchise. Though the Bioshock rpc is small, Nox has found a way to make it her own. Her blog is filled with so much helpful information, and one look at her extremely well thought out, and detailed OC page will tell you all you need to know about this vast universe. With every OC she makes, it’s done with love and care, but something about Nicholas is truly special. Aside from being from one of the most interesting and unique fandoms, Nicholas was crafted with more detail than the gods could give any living being. Nox is also a plot driven writer, I know I am too so if that’s your thing, you’ll be glad to know not only is she a peach but she’s very fun to bounce ideas with! She helped me learn so much about Bioshock, it made plotting feel effortless and an overall thrill. If you don’t follow her, not only are you missing out, but I’ll personally be offended on her behalf.
@segadore - It’s been a few years now, and I have not been able to get Fawn off of my tail, damn you— I’M KIDDING, no but really, Fawn and I have been buddies for the last few years, and I started following her on her Steve Harrington blog. I’ve already gushed in the past about how much I love her Steve, so in the same way she’s so kindly embraced my OCs, I’d like to do the same with hers. Let’s start off with this: Fawn is the one person I see constantly and without a second thought embracing all writers, you could write an oc, canon muse from a different fandom, female oc, doesn’t matter– she will love them like her own. You speak with Fawn ooc, and you’ll feel at home, you’re never a bore nor bother. They’re one of the few people in this RPC I feel so genuinely safe around, and they make me feel like a valued writer even when I’m being ignored by others on the dash, I feel important, and it’s thanks to them. Fawn writes a very amazing muse named Mykah, from what can only be described as a non-existent fandom. I learned about Dead Like Me through her, and I’ve since been completely hooked on this concept and universe. Mykah is a very special, and well-thought out muse. He’s a soul collecting reaper from California, and he’s got so much wit, charm, and attitude, how could you not love the guy? He’s got a tough exterior, but he’s so funny as well, you can tell when you’re reading something Fawn wrote, they have such a unique tone, your eyes will be glued to the screen instantly as soon as you see a reply in your inbox. From the bottom of my heart, I hope we continue to write for years to come. If you want some fresh content you’ve never seen before, and perhaps one of the kindest friends, with the most goddamn creative mindset, please, go look at Fawn’s content. For the love of GOD go look.
@wyntered - You know how when your favorite musician or celebrity makes a post on Instagram or twitter, you go “Ah! There’s _____ again, classic ol’ _____, love them.” and you get all giddy in your seat, overwhelmed just by their presence even if it isn’t for you? That’s how I feel everytime I read each and everyone of Chantelle’s posts. I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t get to read all of my rp partners replies to other folks, sometimes I’m too busy, or honestly? I don’t feel like it. But the amount of effort and research they’ve put into this, how could I not? I love reading both her replies to myself and other people, I love reading her meta posts and headcanons, because I know it’ll not only be helpful but just wonderful. It’s also so nice to see how much care she’s put into writing such a complicated man like Bucky Barnes, her portrayal is uniquely her own, and she’s truly made sure to set a realistic example for others. I’ve learned so much, and it’s thanks to her. They’ve also been so gracious in writing with my own Marvel OC, Alice, and never act annoyed or bothered. That’s not something you often find with people who write popular canon muses, but it’s something I’ve been lucky enough to find with Chantelle. Do yourself a favor, buckle up, and get excited. Go and give her a follow, because I just know in my heart she’ll be more than happy to embrace you with open arms. Thanks for giving me the most iconic and kickass friendship for my daughter! It’s probably obvious to y’all by now that I love Chantelle’s work, so you know this message is genuine.
@capnsolo - I found out a few weeks ago that Kayla and I have been mutuals for years, and neither of us knew it. We’ll ignore that for now. I know Kayla as the most fantabulous Han Solo mun on the block, no really, she’s amazing. We found each other again because I writer princess Leia ( over on @/hopescorned ) and well… SCOUNDRESS! Together, we’ve managed to create our own little version of canon to their storyline, and we continue to develop it each time we speak. I’m not very good at articulating my thoughts, but my point is, Kayla is a very skilled, and creative woman. She’s smart, she knows how to use canon as a crutch, but doesn’t rely on it. She let’s her brain do the talking, and she knows how to collaborate well with others, and happens to be very open minded and flexible to other people’s muses. No matter how outlandish the idea might be for a story, Kayla will find a way to work with it. I’ve never seen someone capture Han’s tone so well, each time I read one of her replies, I can truly see and hear Harrison Ford acting each of the stories we create, out in my head. She has a way with her words, and she’s a true talent. Please, even if Star Wars isn’t your think, at least give her work a chance, it’ll be a pleasant surprise.
@nostlgic - Ash & I have been writing together since February, and the day we started speaking, they were one of the kindest souls I’ve been graced with speaking to. A passionate writer, you’ll be pleasured to see that their muse list is rather long, and diverse. Ash is the kind of writer that is always up for the challenge. You have an OC no one is interested? Cool, Ash is now interested in writing with them. You have a crazy rp idea you want to pursue? Ash is the first in line to give it a try. Whenever I write with Ash, I know it’s going to be a new and exciting adventure, each story is different from the next, and with each muse, they shift tones effortlessly; Stephen King would envy them. I made a post probably a month or two ago about how I wanted to write with an Edward Scissorhands, and within approximately 10 seconds, they volunteered to add him to her muse roster, and a mutual friend of ours even went to comment “I was going to tag Ash but it seems she’s already here” and why is that? That’s just the kind of person Ash is, and I truly love it. Go and peep her profile, because I can guarantee there’s at least one muse you’ll want to write with.

Instructions: Always repost with the rules, answer the 11 random questions left for you and leave 11 more for the people you tag!
TAGGED BY: @moonwoken
TAGGING: be gay do crime
questions i am answering
1. how are things going?
They’re going, man! They’re...going. I have the next two weeks off work which I’m not thrilled about (I actually love my job) but like...my bestie and I keep trading silly little gifts back and forth, so that’s cool. I think I’m mostly still reeling from the blow-out of a breakup and like...feeling like I don’t belong anywhere? Maybe my depression’s just kicking into high gear again but I feel like I’m not wanting/don’t belong anywhere but maybe work. Like everyone and everywhere else just tolerates me. IDK man.
2. if you were someone else’s muse, how would your mun describe you?
Depressed, spontaneous, fickle, lacking in self-esteem but always available to build others up, loves too quickly and too easily, book smart but so fucking stupid otherwise. :/
3. if you could only recommend me three songs, movies or books to get to know you better, which would they be?
Ooooo, this one’s kinda tough! Well, for starters, my go-to movie is The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and I feel like knowing it’s my favorite movie (and having seen it at least once, lol) really explains a lot of my personality. What Rocky Horror can’t explain, my favorite novel probably can: Ray Bradbury’s Something Wicked This Way Comes. I really am haunted by this book. My recommendation for a “song” would actually be the whole Beetlejuice: The Musical album, but I think “No Reason” and/or “Say My Name” nicely encapsulates either my split opinions (former) or my energies (latter).
4. what was it that first inspired you to write? what inspires you today?
My sixth grade English teacher. He was very supportive of my writing and became a touchstone for inspiration in my life. I really started down that track after his class, and even though I’m not doing what either of us ever thought I would, his words still ring true. I don’t really know if I have any inspirations today, though, per se. Performers, I guess. Most of my strongest muses/writing have been born out of my fascination with the performer/s I’ve used for their FC’s.
5. if you had to put together a team of 5 fictional characters plus yourself to save the world, who would you choose and why?
Captain Katherine Janeway, Q, Commander Spock, Doctor McCoy, and Charles Xavier (PatStew). I’m going to be honest here: between Janeway and Q...we don’t need anyone else. Q’s powers and Janeway’s moral compass in combination with Janeway’s leadership and Q’s simp status will solve the problem on the then and there. I just happen to like both Spock and McCoy and think they would contribute a lot of flavor to the adventure, although we’d need Xavier to mellow shit out when all those hot heads start to collide--in particular, Patrick Stewart’s Xavier, since he fits the Star Trek vibe and would thereby have a little more sway with Q than otherwise.
6. what is your favorite fictional trope? least favorite?
My favorite...ever? Period? At all? In all of tropedom? Dark circus/carnival. The exact flavor of the circus/carnival/other travelling show as well as the degree of darkness doesn’t matter, I just always end up drawn in and stupefied by it. I think it’s a combination of the tonal juxtaposition (the light, bright, fun, easygoing, smoke-and-mirrors sensation of the show juxtaposed to the darkness and the horror) and my unending fascination with performance and performance spaces being used outside of their “traditional”/majority context. Backstage mysteries have the exact same effect on me, as do haunted theatres. My least favorite was formerly the misuse of the Persephone myth--twisted by modern, romantic minds into a love story where one isn’t existent in the original mythos--but it has since swung back to that of the unaware Mary Sue/Gary Stu. It’s a trope that can be fun when the writer is self-aware enough to perceive it, but it’s otherwise irritating beyond belief.
7. what unpopular opinion do you have toward the rpc or tumblr?
Soft-blocking is an exercise in pointlessness, as it rarely actually results in the blocked party staying away. This website is too glitchy to make that kind of thing work. Have conversations with the people you’d rather soft- than hard-block about the offense they’ve caused or just hard-black them, myself included.
8. if you could spend one day with your main muse (or your muse of choice), what would that be like?
Look, I’ll be real. My muse of choice? Very much not advertiser-friendly, as they say on YouTube. The things we would do would horrify people unaware of my sex drive and wild attraction to him. A night of debauchery on all levels--because we’d spend a night, not a day, that’s just the way his canon rolls--and if unreleased canon has anything to tell, it’s that I’d end up pregnant with his son and then probably die but it might have been worth it, especially if we can skip the reality TV show in the middle. So let’s just pretend I said I’d spend a day getting high with Jareth and wandering around the Escher room tripping the most balls ever.
9. if you found yourself in one fictional universe of your choosing, which would it be and why?
................. I’d either end up in space on Star Trek because I’m a lonely space gay or I’d end up in a creepy gothic castle singing and dancing--is it Rocky Horror or Labyrinth?--and perhaps legitimately feeling like the siren I long to be as people compliment my voice.
10. a character you’ve always wanted to write?
Mirror!Spock. I wrote him once and I loved it and I would love to write him again, but I don’t use AOS canon so finding people to write with is often difficult.
11. what are five things that spark joy for you?
Space, Rocky Horror, singing, my pets (did I tell you about my new dog?), Renaissance Festivals.
.
my questions for you
1. how have you been holding up lately?
2. what are three surefire ways to make you smile/happy?
3. who is your comfort character and what are they like?
4. explain your URL!
5. what is one article of clothing you love above all others and why?
6. what is your favorite kind of thing to write? what about your least favorite?
7. what is one belief you hold but do not often share?
8. if you could choose one person (alive, dead, or fictional) to spend the day with, who would it be and what would you do?
9. what is one piece of media that continues to hold your attention?
10. what drew you to writing on tumblr?
11. what is one thing you wish you got to talk about more often?

i wanted to talk about my own experience with toni / taylor / swiftofrph / margotofrph / admin baby / quinn etc. around the time of 2013 - 2016 ( phew plz be patient with me as i’m not great w/ writing things out so i’ll try make it as clear as possible ! )
i must admit that taylor and i had a friendship that for a while i really appreciated. i cared about her a lot, which is exactly why her behaviour was so triggering and somewhat traumatising towards the end of our friendship. however, i have made a few friends through this experience that i am so fucking grateful for. i just wanted to put this out there for those who run groups and/or those who are joining groups, who want to know what kind of person she is/was, and to be wary, lest she proves that she can change her behaviour.
( tw; writing adult content with minors )  -  i met taylor in a smut roleplay group when i was sixteen, so it would’ve been 2013 i think ?? there were no age restrictions in this group, as i was sixteen at the time, and my best friend, who was fourteen, was also in the group. taylor was a legal adult at the time, yet interacted with the both of us, and often pushed me to complete her ships and write heterosexual smut - mostly haylor - with her despite the fact it made me uncomfortable. i was young, anxious and eager to please, so i’d give her the ships she wanted, so that she’d give me the ones i liked in return. ( i was wrong to have been in that group but at the time i wasn’t aware of how dangerous it actually was. i was very naive at this point in my life, and due to trauma i wasn’t very good at noticing red flags. )  i don’t think i really realised until recently that she was one of the many people in the rpc who would roleplay sexual content with me being a minor, and with my characters being minors too. ( i don’t have any reason to believe that she would do such a thing now, but the fact that she didn’t find it questionable then is very strange to me. the second i turned 18, i instinctively knew that it was fucking creepy to smut with anyone younger than myself at that time. )
she’s proved herself to be incredibly ignorant over the years i knew her. at some point she was suggesting latinx names for my white characters, and pushing me to join roleplay groups that ‘would be okay with lesbian characters’. the wording of this threw me off, because even then i was under the impression that every group should be okay with LGBTQ+ characters. she also allowed a straight, cis female character into a sapphic-centric group so long as the character pretended to be gay.
she dismissed my mental illnesses, and implied that i ‘drove people away’ with the way i worded things in the ooc. she knew me for years, and knew about my intense anxiety and the social awkwardness that came along with it. ( i’ll admit i’m a little at fault here, but as an admin she should have tried to be a little more understanding, especially as someone who suffered from anxiety herself. )
she allowed bubble roleplaying and didn’t make an effort to resolve the issue. there were several times i was excluded from her group i was a part of and she did nothing to prompt people to reply to my posts or interact with me. it was very cliquey at the time, and when i brought up these issues she called me impatient and told me to ‘wait for people to reply’. the issue wasn’t people taking days to respond, it was that people weren’t replying. period. she made me feel guilty about wanting to drop my characters due to lack of interaction.
SHE ALLOWED CONSTANT HARRASSMENT + BULLYING FROM OTHER GROUP MEMBERS. this was what caused me to end the friendship with taylor.  taylor had a friend join the group not long after myself who went by the name heaven. i’d plotted with heaven, and after two dead threads, i didn’t interact with them again because i was socially awkward and figured i’d annoyed them. until they interacted with a starter of mine, in which their character made an advance on mine, which mine reciprocated. days later, without having interacted with heaven again, their character was accusing mine of sexually assaulting them. from this point onward, the gossip blog was full of hate towards my character that was all very obviously from the person who went by heaven - though it wouldn’t surprise me if taylor was involved in this too. i told taylor and the other admin about this multiple times. the other admin wasn’t much help but she was definitely more sympathetic than taylor. taylor didn’t even give heaven so much as a warning, and they were allowed to continue their harassment for weeks until they got bored of bullying me and left. it didn’t last long, however. taylor then allowed this same friend to come back under a new alias. it wasn’t hard to figure out it was them, since their writing style was the same, and the second they joined the group, their character was harassing mine, and once again the gossip blog filled with hate for my character. a good deal of the messages were also subtle digs at me as a person also, which was devastating.   taylor allowed this to happen. and basically implied that it was my own fault because my character had a mental illness, and it made her unlikeable. she once again let this harassment continue for weeks, maybe even months. from this point onwards, i tried to avoid dealing with taylor.
THIS WAS A TERRIBLY HORRIFYING AND TRAUMATISING ORDEAL. i have an array of mental illnesses, and she essentially allowed people to push me to a breaking point. even though she didn’t directly harm me, she was actively participating in it by allowing it to happen in a group that she was in control of.
i was so anxious to be on tumblr that making an indie was incredibly difficult for me. i was constantly worried about taylor making an indie under a different alias, and risking the chance of having to interact with her again.
while i can’t speak on her behaviour now, i can definitely speak on how she’s behaved in the past. i believe that people can change, but it certainly doesn’t seem like she’s made much of an effort to. i can only hope she learns from this experience, educates herself and treats people with a little more kindness.

I kind of want to add Dai from Dragon Quest since I’m a big fan of the series even though there’s no rpc for it but I don’t want to add too many dead muses on here. He’d probably fit right in with the HxH or YYH community which is why I’m considering it but I’m unsure if many would interact with him. So how we feelin’ about that? Anyone interested?

hello all, this is me needing advice ( mods pls feel free to deliver your input as well ) as i’m in a slight pickle.
basically i am in a teeny tiny rpc. in this teeny tiny rpc, i am one of the few constants that has regular activity. circles are very small. you either rp with everyone or you don’t ( hopefully that doesn’t pretentious? ). there’s another semi-constant in this space, almost infamous one might say. we’ve butted heads ( they basically believe in the whole fiction = reality, policing content and is very into the callout culture whereas i am the complete opposite ). let’s call them rper A.
we share a mutual - this mutual has been in this space for years ( almost a decade ), so they know the debacles, i’m sure ( they follow everyone ). the mun is very sweet, and i mean a real treat. problem is that it gets awkward at times. sometimes this mutual will @ us both in the same post for whatever reason, a meme or whatnot. my personal gripe, though, is that rper A is absolutely not shy in being rude, pretentious and overall disrespectful where it concerns anything about their portrayal, or how the creator should be dead, or that [insert ‘problematic’ subject matter here] rpers should die. there’s absolutely way for someone to not know what type of person rper A is.
what’s even worse is that the mutual apparently loves and panders rper A like no tomorrow. i’ve always liked to think i’m a ‘live and let live’ type of person, so i’m hesitant to even bring this matter up at all, but i just cannot hide the fact that it makes me uncomfortable at times. heck, rper A’s and my rules, respectively, even directly contradict each other! how does someone follow two people who are clearly directly opposing each others’ set of beliefs?
feel like if i say or do something ( whether it’s softblock or whatever ), i’d be a hypocrite, as i always say it’s absolute nobody’s business what you do / who you interact with. but after the experience, others’ experiences with this rper A, their overall disposition/stance, and they kind of person they are, i just… don’t feel comfortable if someone ( that i’m supposedly friends with ) acts nice with me, but is also buddy buddy with them. and i know that’s wrong to some degree, so i’m at a loss here.
am i wrong to feel this way? what should i do? please help :(
-----------------------------------------------
Hey there!
I think my best advice for this situation might just be to blacklist person A using Tumblr savior, xkit, or some other software. It’s not a perfect solution, but since like you said, you’re not the type to tell others what to do, it’s probably the best solution that doesn’t involve talking to anybody about the situation.
You could also choose to stop associating with person B, which you don’t need to give a reason for (or you can give an unrelated reason). Something like “I just feel like my situation has changed, and I would like to stop rping with you” can work, possibly paraphrased a little bit if you feel like something else is more appropriate.
Finally, you could just continue with the status quo and not change anything at all. It will be uncomfortable, but for the sake of not incensing person A or causing distress to person B, that may be a ‘solution’ to consider.
This isn’t an easy problem to solve, and since I don’t know the individuals involved, I can’t speak to knowing how they would react to any of the above scenarios.
Do our followers have any advice?

vam, if you didn’t think i wasn’t above giving myself self love ON THIS BLOG???? you are.... dead wrong.
things i’m most proud of: the fact that i can bring smiles to other people when i can’t to myself sometimes. ( i tend to redirect things a lot which isn’t always a bad things ) really though, when i am at my lowest, there are sometimes that i actively seek out other people are are also hurting and try to make them feel better because, in turn, it helps me feel better -- it gives me a purpose & it helps keep my mind off things.
other things i am proud of: the fact that I WRITE. i write a lot. i write so many different things. and honestly, i am so very PASSIONATE about it. i’m so proud of my meta for link -- the most proud that i have been in such a long time!!! I have never felt so proud of a muse before until i remade link and GODS, nobody can take that away from me. ( i just pray i am not intimidating in that aspect ) i know i can write MOUNTAINS of words, but god, i will write a book about all the lore i have for TP, SS, & BOTW and nothing can stop me........ nothing. also, i am so, so, SO happy for the fact that i can write such a VARIETY of muses too???? like gods.... i won’t list all of them here, ( for there are some i wish to not bring up ) but i can play a wide variety of muses who all have similar motifs and im just??? dladshf
i must admit that while sometimes i have doubt on my other blogs, there has never been a time where i have doubted link, and that in itself makes me so proud and happy. that yes, i finally have a muse that makes me so happy & comfortable!!!
like you don’t understand vam, for somebody who had been igNORED and so unhappy for so long in another rpc because i felt like i was screaming at walls & nobody ever REALLY talked to me, i don’t at all care about that here. ( or maybe i do idk, i just don’t have the same treatment ) rather... i think.... i am so proud of myself for making the decision to finally, FINALLY cut the strings with one of the most toxic rpcs known on tumblr. like really, i have never felt so alive!!! and im just over her VIBING in my smol little purgatory, it’s so... great. i could cry for how happy i am.
anyway, moving on.
i am proud that people don’t find me scary??? at least i don’t think so? i could be absolutely wrong by that.... but you know what? i feel like anybody who knows me would know that.... i am nothing but somebody who cares. honestly i once told a friend, i think it it might have been @wingclipped but i could be WRONG. But i always say that im like a dragon. i hoard something. or rather, i cherish something. and that something is that i cherish life & love. i will absolutely hoard all my friends and keep them safe. i will defend them with my life. no really, i would lay down my LIFE for them. I’ve always been so protective while also still keep somewhat of a front. to keep myself safe.
speaking of which, i am SO PROUD of myself for learning how to say ‘no, this bothers me.’ while sometimes i still have problems with giving too much, i have come SUCH a long way to what i used to be..... but you know what, there was something else that somebody told me.
actually it was @vescrsol who told me! ( hella yea you know what i’ll name drop you cause honestly it was one of the NICEST things that somebody has ever told me and you know what.... it made me so happy and it made me realise that YOU’RE right.... )
him: Wearing your heart on your sleeve.... alot of other people cant do that me: hoW         NO         I am a fool him: No         You're stronger then you think         An act of kindness, is stronger then an act of defiance
honestly, i think since then, i’ve learned to like.... love myself a BIT more. at least if gave me just that boost of confidence that... yes, i am doing the right thing. at least, i feel, in my heart, that i am.
but ahhh..... i digress. anyway. what i want to try to get at is that, you know what, everybody has self-doubt! even i do! it’s natural as we are all human. but for me, i know that the self-doubt will pass! i know that there are people that i can make happy and that is what keeps me going! and you know what? i have had some pretty nasty things told to my face. both on tumblr, and irl, from just about anybody. and while that sometimes puts me down, i am PROUD that i can rebound!!
even when i was little, i had this mantra. if everybody else can’t be nice, then you be the better man. you be that ONE nice person. I struggled a lot in high school. and honestly, i cannot tell you how BAD it was, cause it was really bad. but i told myself, ‘no, i don’t want to be like everybody.’ as much as i sought out somebody to help me feel better, i realised some things...
1: there are people out there who feel the same as you. 2: there are people out there who’ve taken to try to make others happy while they, themselves, are also hurting, just like you. 3: only you can make yourself happy.
this is why i take the time out of my day to check on people. maybe some people may not like it. maybe some people don’t want to talk. but that shouldn’t mean that you DON’T talk to them. i get everybody has their own ways of dealing with stress and talking to others. and honestly, i can understand that!! its absolutely okay!
just like you vam. you, and kirby, and anybody else who takes sometimes days or weeks to respond. its okay!!! really. i just want you to know though that i care about you so much. there isn’t a day were im like ‘oh why did vam not message me wtf? i hate this’ no im never EVER like that. i am probably one of the most UNDERSTANDING, patient, & loving people you’ll ever meet. and i hope you KNOW that. i think the only thing i wish for people to realise is that... all you guys have to do is reach out to me. i know its hard. i know its scary. but know that at the end of the day, if you feel like you’re falling.... KNOW that i will be that head that turns. i will be that hand that reaches out for you. know that i would do anything in my power to pull out out, pick you up, and hold you.
and KNOW, please please please PLEASE know, that i will never hate doing it. and that i am PROUD to do it. i am that one male cheerleader that holds his teammates up and does it with a SMILE on my face. even when i am hurting, i do it. because it makes me happy to know that i can cheer other people up!
I knOW i am endearing!! i know, i know, i KNOW!!!! and yes, i know im a bit much. but you know what??? that’s the fucking latin blood in me!! i’ll never be ashamed of that. i make my own familie ( yes i actually spelt that right, its romanian, NOT SPANISH ). i’ll be the tati && the mami. i am both. you can’t stop me now >:)
anyway, i TOTALLY went off on like a tangent, but you know what. people need to know. this ended up from kinda being a self-love post to a psa post but you know what? i don’t care!!! everybody needs to know.
and i think everybody needs to know that you all need to do some self-love. really though. if you can’t find it. then its okay, let me glomp on you then for the time being. i’ll do it!!! really i absolutely will. i will love & dote on you all. i think anybody who’s close to me KNOWS this. and anybody who’s known me only for a little while has come to realise this too.
but... you know what? what do y’all think? am i right, or am i right? ♥♥♥
anyway, i think i’ll stop for now haha i went off didn’t i. whoops. anyway.
vam, know this: i love you. i always will. if you ever ever EVER feel like you need somebody, PLEASE don’t hesitate to scream at me. and by the gods, if i found that you made a bad decision™ of deleting a blog, i AM COMING FOR YOUR BOOTY. bruh, i am so about that life to metaphorically come at you like FUCKING HIROOMI.

I suppose this could be considered a part 2 or redux of my original bias list which was posted more than six months ago. The blog has changed a lot since then and I appreciate all of you sticking around for this long; through every revamp and rewrite, periods of inactivity, and general nonsense.
Of course, it’s not possible for everyone to be listed. If you’re not mentioned please don’t take it personally, it likely means that we simply haven’t interacted much; which can always change!
1. The Deku Squad (i.e. portrayals that have been absolutely crucial to the development of Izuku as a muse, and the AU as a whole)
@amplifyingtrace
Kit! One of the very first people I interacted with on here, back when I was still building my timeline and even had a different url. I don’t think it would have been possible for me to predict that that random ‘first meeting’ thread would snowball to where we are today. I know I tell you this a lot, but I absolutely adore Leia as a character. To the point where she’s so ingrained in my portrayal of Izuku that I honestly can’t imagine what he’d be like without their dynamic. The wonder trio is a central theme to the AU as a whole and Izuku truly is a stronger character with Leia’s presence. All the scenarios, both written and plotted out, are absolutely integral to my timeline. I am so grateful that you’ve allowed Leia to become part of this world, and the amount of time and effort you’ve spent building it with me, thank you.
@invisiquirk / @rrenao
Cinder; you are a truly creative and wonderful person. I am, of course, incredibly attached to your Tooru, but each and every single one of your muses is always such a unique take on the character in question that I am always blown away without exception. I can make a thousand jokes about Stanning Cinder but it’s important that you know that i’m truly grateful that I’ve met you through this RPC. Sometimes it feels like we share a brain we’re so in sync. Tooru is a realistic and dynamic character, and sometimes (frequently) I forget that your portrayal isn’t canon to the point where watching the anime gives me whiplash at times. Izuku wouldn’t be the same character without their dynamic, and even when you’re breaking my heart I adore your writing. In particular, they bring their own unique brand of recklessness to the table which has tested Izuku’s ability to handle situations well beyond his control (such as Tooru’s past) and continues to hold a mirror to his own terrible habits. Not to mention that he just? loves Tooru with his whole heart.
@steelhardpecs / @defrostiing / @sweatbombhands / @dcrkpassenger
Soda; You are kind, patient, and brilliant. I will always admire the way you speak your mind, and your amazing insights into your muses. Each new blog and each new character are completely different, but equally wonderful. Not all of your blogs are tagged here, though I love them all, I stuck with tagging the muses that have been the most central to building the Quirkless AU and Izuku as a character. Tetsutetsu, who has played a crucial role in helping Izuku recognize that he isn’t as unaffected by his past as he pretends; and continues to be a pivotal emotional support. Todoroki, who has helped flesh out large scenes within the story, such as the sports festival, and has forced Izuku to confront that not everyone with a quirk has it easy. Bakugo, who also has a major role in a lot of scenes in the AU (such as their confrontation in the elevator) and who’s growth is parallel to Izuku’s own. And poor, long suffering, Colby who’s a father figure and trying desperately to help Izuku form healthy coping mechanisms. There is a lot more, but i’m getting a bit long winded, so let me just end with this; I can’t wait to hear your next idea
@sappines
Kona! Your writing and art are both phenomenal, and drawing your own icons is such an indescribable power move. Just, the time and effort that takes in and of itself! is amazing! And beyond that, Kazue is a well rounded and well written character. She’s kind and strong, but not invincible and not infallible. And you, yourself, are delightful to talk to. I love plotting with you or just discussing your characters. Our interactions both out of character and in character have really played a huge role in how Izuku interacts with other muses; not just Kazue. In particular, when it comes to physical affection. It’s something that she’s helped him become more comfortable and open with. She’s also one of the few people who’s openly gotten him to admit that he was shaken by his encounter with Shigaraki. (she’s just got a way of getting under people’s skin I guess, in a good way) I can’t imagine writing here without you, and without Kazue as a character. As far as i’m concerned, her being in 1-A is canon.
@aemulo
Ish; Our actual in depth interactions have started just recently but I’m already incredibly attached to your take on Monoma as a character. You’ve stayed true to the source material for the most part while also building upon it and making a completely new and complex character in the process. Your edits are outstanding, and it’s difficult not to appreciate the amount of effort and time you’ve put into them in order to provide visual context to your portrayal. I absolutely mean it when I say you’re doing a better job than canon, and I know you’ll only continue to improve even more over time. Monoma himself in such a short time has had a profound impact on how I approach Izuku as a character, as well as his dynamic with other characters; particularly those from class B. Even interactions in AUs (which, side note, every single AU you come up with is incredible) help build their dynamic.
@yuugxn
Cereal; There are a lot of unexplored dynamics in canon that RP gives us a chance to see and write where they will go, but I don’t think any friendship was as unexpected (yet incredible) as Jirou and Izuku. I absolutely love the way they interact, their similarities and their differences. I love that it started with a joke about Jirou stealing Izuku’s phone so he won’t continue to destroy his eardrums and I adore that I can tag you in videos of people doing the macarena to Every Time We Touch and have it somehow be a perfect depiction of their dynamic. Your writing and portrayal are fantastic and you’ve made me cry more than once not only in our threads but in your interactions with other people. Jirou has forced Izuku to confront not only how his actions affect himself, but how they affect those around him via imitation, and also via just plain worrying about him. And the whole Blue Rose imagery? I’ll never be over it. I love flower language and I love the idea of ‘unattainable’ for Izuku, because of how he views himself; and also how Jirou views him as well.
@needlxd
Deedee; I don’t care what you say you can pull Kitiara Itou from my cold dead hands she’s a babey who needs to be protected at all costs. Villain babey, evil babey. Ok, in all seriousness; Deedee, I love Kit so much as a character, she’s a wonderfully complex and believable villain to the point where I can’t help but root for her a little bit. Even out side of her redemption verse. I also, already love Trina, but we haven’t interacted too much in character yet (emphasis on yet). Writing in a language that’s not your first is incredibly difficult, especially one as unnecessarily complicated as English. And it is, frankly, impossible to tell based on your writing that it’s actually been translated. Your writing is fantastic in and of itself, and that’s already impressive in and of itself but you literally put twice as much effort into a single reply than just about anyone else and the kind of dedication that takes is just as impressive if not more so. Kit forces Izuku to confront his morals and his views of villains as a whole, and that’s as important as it is painful. Plus, autistic solidarity.
2. Team Plus Ultra (aka blogs that I love and admire even though we haven’t interacted much in character)
@obliterus // @quirkgifter // @oneshockyboi // @bcdtouch // @ksri // @explsnmrdr // @iinko // @ukubi // @aidonneus // @katsubi // @eighthilles // @floatsaver // @gxlitxr // @hcwks // @empyrrrean // @negatiiv // @dimensionalprinter // @inneall // @shintsohi // @b-nnyhero // @inventii // @icyht // @round--face // @hero-hopeful // @amazetm // @pyrrhe
3. The Greatest Hero (aka duplicates that I absolutely adore)
I don’t want to tag any duplicates, as I know that can make people uncomfortable. However, I absolutely adore these portrayals and so I highly recommend that you give them a follow!

MEGAN HALSEY CHEAT SHEET !
since my muses are not super well known in the contemporary rpc ( and i’m too lazy to do a full about page at this very moment ) i decided to put together little posts for them that give their general backgrounds, vibes, and plot possibilities !
this is a mix of canon and headcanon, and these are subject to change / adapt as i get more used to writing the characters

BACKGROUND:
Film: Re-Animator 1985
Megan Halsey, 24, is a non-degree seeking student at Miskatonic Medical School where her father is the Dean. Megan’s essentially been running the household since her mother ran off to join a humanitarian organization on the other side of the world when Megan was 13 or so. In some ways Megan is extremely mature, having to deal with her mother’s absence while also assuming the responsibilities expected of the “woman of the house” like cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc ( this is the misogynistic 80s after all )
Megan is extremely close to her father, however she lowkey defies him by dating the promising but absolutely broke medical student, Daniel Cain. Megan takes an immediate dislike to Dan’s new roommate, Herbert West, and repeatedly tries to convince Dan to cut ties with Herbert, to no avail.
Re-animation shenanigans happen and Megan is understandably distressed when her father is killed and re-animated, coming back wrong and barely recognizable as the man he used to be. Megan gives permission to Dr. Hill to perform exploratory surgery to figure out what’s wrong with her dad, but Hill actually lobotomizes Dean Halsey so that he can mind control him.
Dr. Hill has a creepy obsession with Megan and once he’s killed and re-animated by Herbert he acts on it, having the lobotomized Dean Halsey kidnap Megan for him.
Dan and Herbert come to the rescue, but Megan is strangled by one of Hill’s other reanimated cadavers and dies. Dan uses some of Herbert’s reagent on Megan and though she has an initial reaction, screaming once the reagent is administered, Megan seems to stay dead. Dan, in shock, is taken away from Megan’s body and in the chaotic aftermath of the Miskatonic Massacre she’s assumed to be another casualty and is kept stored in one of the morgue freezers, which helps to slow down the circulation of the reagent and keep her in an essentially coma-like state.
That is until Dr. Graves from Pathology is doing Megan’s autopsy, pulls out her heart, and Megan springs back to life, knocking out Dr. Graves and stealing one of the vials of Herbert’s reagent and a spare lab coat and booking it the hell out of there. Her first instinct is to go to Dan but he and Herbert are already gone in Peru so she has to patch herself up and figure out what to do in a life where her friends are gone, her father is dead, and she’s thought to be dead as well.
To add even more problems, the reagent formula Meg has access to isn’t perfect -- she has to continually inject it to maintain her state of re-animation, and to make matters worse it isn’t unlimited, and the only people who know how to make it are god knows where...
VIBES / PERSONALITY:
Definitely big “woman who doesn’t get listened to in horror movies” vibes, here. She’s kind of bossy and knows what she likes, but a lot of the times when she tells you to do something it’s the right thing to do!!
Keeps herself busy with work, school, extracurriculars, family, boyfriends, etc because she doesn’t really like to be alone with her thoughts. Has a lot of unresolved trauma dealing with her mother leaving and not having a stable maternal figure to look up to while growing up, as well as having to essentially shoulder the responsibilities of being a wife, mother, and daughter ( not wife in a creepy way just like in a way where she takes care of her dad like a spouse would in the 80s, dinner, laundry, scheduling, etc )
Has very high standards! Of herself and others! This means she’ll do anything in her power to help the people she loves reach those standards, but it also means she can be very quick to judge someone the first few times she meets them, and she’s prone to adhering to her first impression for a long time, especially if it’s negative.
Has a bit of a “stereotypical” fantasy of her future / what’s expected of her -- get married, have a nice house and 2.5 kids and take vacations in Martha’s Vineyard and die gracefully in her sleep when she’s 80. Any deviation from this fantasy can be really upsetting to her, and kind of feeds into how much of a control freak she can tend to be.
Post-reanimation Meg is very different and very similar to regular Meg! There’s still the urge towards trying to control a situation that’s wildly out of her hands but at least now she doesn’t really have to worry about keeping up appearances as the dean’s daughter, and all the baggage that comes with performative femininity and competency.
PLOT POSSIBILITIES:
Pre-movie stuff! Megan was super popular in high school and undergrad, please be her friend. She used to do horseback riding and play piano and probably did school plays and musicals and was at the top of her class in a bunch of subjects and was also probably a cheerleader, she’s got so many extracurriculars god
Be her friend during med school! Megan isn’t actually getting her doctorate, she’s just taking classes and acting as a “spy” for her dad and some of the professors, but she’d be more than happy to help fellow students
Post-movie stuff with re-animated Meg! She’s essentially like a more cognizant zombie, without the urge to eat people’s brains. She’s got no friends or family, no place to stay, she’s assumed to be dead -- perfect roommate material. She might try to co-opt you into helping her develop more of Herbert West’s reagent because it’s running out and she needs it to stay alive / awake unless another formula is made that keeps her animated forever!
Also give her a kiss. She deserves it. She deserves to explore lesbianism, too

is there another muse you’ve been thinking of adding or writing for? who? & is there a muse that you wish gets more attention?
Well there is a few. Some were from bleach but it seem that that RPC is almost completely dead save for a few characters’ that dont really rp much just post pics that they like or that is part of the fandom So I might just get rid of my muses there since I never really get to play them, One I was looking into was Magi again, I uses to play a Ja’far and he is a fun character to play. But I need to check the RPC of Magi before I make him a muse. Though I can put him into many verses without other muses from the fandom he seem more like an OC verses a cannon he is one I am considering though. The most likely characters that I do plan on adding is AoT muses. Levi and Mikasa. I am debating on whether or not to ad Eren. Though as far as naruto muses go I am thinking about adding Izuna. He is going to show up before my AoT muses just because I need to get back into it before I can feel good about playing those muses.
Well, I do wish my bleach characters got a little more attention but I was just thinking that I might drop them since like Ja’far it kind of feels the same way. Though, I guess the main characters I would like to get more attention is Sasori and Tsunade. I have them as a muse but I dont play them often. Though they seem like fun characters to play if I get them with the right people.I mean Tsunade can fit with most but Sasori might only get along with a few Akatsuki characters. He is one of the harder characters to put in an rp with his personality. Another one is Madara, Though even he gets more attention then Sasori.
