BIRTHDAY

note. its my bday. i dont like my bday. i do love eddie. this is v self indulgent so yes i did put my bday in. it is also the first full thing ive written in months.

feat. eddie munson x fem!reader

☆ MASTERLIST

You can hear the poor attempts of your friends "whispering" outside your door, trying not to let out a groan as they all giggle amongst themselves. The calendar hanging on your wall mocks you as you stare at the date circled in red.

July 16th.

Your birthday. A day you - unlike others - did not enjoy.

The door creaks open slowly, as they try to invade your room much too early in the morning. A whispered countdown of '3, 2, 1' before a chorus of cheers and 'Happy Birthdays!' are yelled. You try to give them a smile - you really do - but it's 9:43 AM and you hate your birthday and your bedhead has to be hideous right now. Eddie settles down next to you immediately, a grin on his face that doesn't falter even slightly.

"Happy birthday, sweetheart." He whispers gently, pressing a peck to your cheek. Well, this isn't the worst. Dustin interrupts the moment immediately, holding a poorly wrapped box in his hands - the proud gleam in his eyes as he urges you to take it makes you think he may have personalised this gift himself. You pull him in for a hug, and then continue to do so for the rest (Nancy's gift excites you a little more than the others, knowing whatevers under the pastel pink wrapping paper is thoughtful to you.)

"Alright, alright!" Eddie jumps up, beginning to push the others out of your room as they complain, "It's my girlfriend's birthday and therefore up to me to make her day - so shoo!" He has to give Dustin and Lucas one last hard shove before slamming the door dramatically, theatrically wiping his hands on his jacket - a new jacket it seems.

"Hi, honey." You say, morning voice obvious.

"Hi to you too, beautiful." Eddie seats himself down once more, pushing aside the gifts now littered amongst your bed as you jump into his arms. "You ready for the best birthday you've ever had?" You nod stiffly - knowing as long as you're with Eddie, you won't ever really have a bad day. Even on your detested birthday. "'Cmon baby, that's not nearly enthusiastic enough."

"Sorry, Eds." You nuzzle into his neck, mumbling, "I don't really like my birthday, y'know?" He nods.

"Then, don't think of today as your birthday. Think of it as… as us having an insanely fancy date on this particular day for no reason!"

"So, you're taking me on an 'insanely fancy date' today?" Eddie freezes, mumbling a string of 'fuck' and 'shit' under his breath. You laugh, watching him fumble as you instead busy yourself with playing with his jacket. "This for me too?" You ask.

"Yeah - I didn't think my Black Sabbath tees would be the most appropriate look for En-" He stops himself, jokingly pushing you back down as he hops up, "Stop! No more making me spoil our date today!"

"I'm not making you!" You giggle once more, pulling yourself up. "So, I should wear something appropriate for Enzo's, right?"

"Are you fucking-"

Walking hand-in-hand with Eddie along the dark streets of Hawkins with his jacket over your shoulders is enough to make you positively swoon, and you quite literally have to force yourself to keep from giggling like a schoolgirl. Eddie had postively been the best gentleman all night long (Apart from the breadstick sword fight he initiated, but that's up to interpretation), and when he had asked for a combined bill at the end of dinner, his eagerness to sell to just about anything that walked in the last few weeks made sense - and it only made your heart flutter some more to know how long he had been planning leading up to your birthday.

Speaking of which - this may be the last birthday you can remember not hating.

"So," Eddie begins, obviously nervous despite the smirk he sports, "You have fun today?" You snort.

"Firstly, you sound like a dad." His comments of 'Well, I'd be a great one,' die down as you continue, "But yes, I did." Eddie smiles, genuinely. A soft smile that makes his eyelids crinkle and accentuates those pretty brown eyes. "Thank you." You whisper into the howling wind of the night, but he hears you anyway. He always does.

You pretend not to see your mother peeking at you and Eddie through the window as you reach home - slightly (extremely) disappointed at how short the walk felt. It's quiet between the two of you, no words are really needed anyway when Eddie intertwines your fingers, pulling you in by the waist for a kiss - or 5. A breathless "I love you" comes from him in between every kiss, and you want to laugh because you should be saying it.

"Eddie - My mum's definitely watching." He sighs, unable to resist going in for just one more kiss.

"I know you don't like your birthday, but I couldn't resist getting you a present," You groan, but he cuts you off, "Nothing expensive or grand like Enzo's! Swear! Just… Just ask your mum for 'Eddie's present' when you get inside, alright?" You raise an eyebrow, but agree anyway, and with one last, last, kiss, your Romeo is off.

"Mum?" You ask into the house, knowing she can't have run off far from her creeping at the window.

"Welcome home - how did your date go?" She asks, and you roll your eyes with a snort.

"Clearly well, as you saw." She waves you off. "Uhm, Eddie said he had a gift for me." She points to the fridge, and you see a smile tug at her lips.

Eddie's gift is front and center as soon as you open the fridge - a pretty pink cake with sprinkles thrown onto the terribly spread icing. Eddie's appalling handwriting is somehow even more illegible in the black icing on top.

Happy birthday, love.

WARNINGS: just like the other one ive tried my best to find pictures that were inclusive, but some of them are a bit specific so i apologise for that -- masterlist

a/n: i really enjoy making these just to sort of relax and have fun in between writing other fics so expect more of these lmaoo. once again, inspo credits go to @/laiiiin

BAKUGO :

being with bakugo is like eating one of those hard candies with soft centres. they're chewy and delicious, but once you break through the hard exterior, your met with a pleasant and nice softness that made all the chewing worth it. he's hard on the outside and will act all tough, but secretly he just want to cuddle in bed with you all day, in the safety and comfort of your arms. he finds it so hard and punishing to leave you in bed, sleeping all by yourself because he has to go on patrol. don't worry though, he always makes up to you by giving you lots of extra kisses and buying you your favourite meal :))

SERO :

he's just like the bestest, chillest partner ever. i don't think that's even a word, but it's fitting for sero. he's super fun to be around and just really respectful and thoughtful as well. you always have a smile on your face when hanging out with him. even when he's gaming with the bros he always finds a way to make sure you have his attention, whether it's by kissing your cheek and forehead after every round, or just cuddling while he plays games. the amount of times you've fallen asleep in his lap is unbelievable. he's also very stylish, so you best believe you're matching/complementing one another.

DEKU :

izuku is the sweetest partner in the world. he is so considerate about you and your feelings and you're always on his mind, from the moment he wakes up, to when he's just about to fall asleep. he even dreams of you every night. izuku is completely consumed with you, in a healthy, not obsessive way. you two are always messing about and running around having fun and laughing with each other. he's also the type to unexpectedly just take you on a romanric midnight walk or drive where you two just have deep conversations about the future. its cute because whenever deku talks about the future, it always has you in it too.

TODOROKI :

todoroki is more of a private lover. don't get me wrong, he's absolutely smitten with you and loves you to the ends of the earth, but he would never reveal any information about you to the public because he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable. he knows how wild some of his 'fans' can get and he doesn't want you to put you at risk. he's the type of guy to get invited to a fancy award ceremony with you as his plus one, only to leave early and take you to the beach at sunrise. you'd watch it together on a hill and he'd suddenly pull you up from your seat and just start slow dancing with you. it's quiet and peaceful, but so full of raw, passionate love. just like him.

kind of an x reader but not really [ deku,, tokoyami,, iida,, bakugo,, todoroki ]

WARNINGS: mentions of weed -- masterlist

a/n: for my fellow brits, i love yous. also today's a shitpost day, so expect another one :))

DEKU :

he's the polite roadman that everyone including adults, loves and has a soft spot for. you can't hate deku. yeah he rocks about with af1s, trackies, and an armarni sidebag that may or may not contain weed, but he's extremely respectful towards everyone and someone you can hand your drink to to make sure it stays safe. I feel like he can sing. he does the backing vocals to bakugos grm daily songs 100% his mum probably sees him as an angel, and he is bless him, but he's wild.

IIDA :

he's not a roadman, but he has the potential to be one. on one hand he reminds me of that video of the prefect screaming his head off at students that were hanging around in the corridor (ill include the video at the end in case you have no idea what im on about), but on the other hand he's lethal. in conclusion, his mates are roadmen and call him for backup even though doesn't approve of their antics.

TOKOYAMI :

idk if anyone will understand this, but he gives me tbjzl (tobi from the sidemen) vibes. like if tobi was road, that's exactly who tokoyami would be. he'd write bars for his friends and be in the background of all those drill videos with a bally on. defo be throwing up gang signs. occasionally his mates would convince and force him to jump on a song and he'd drop a verse or two. he's a calm guy imo, funny, smart and a little bit edgy. also got the best rhymes and word play. modern day skepta.

BAKUGO :

he's defo one of them roadmen that looks really scary and aggressive with his hoodie up and bally on, but once you get to know him, he's actually decent. i know for a fact he switches as soon as he's within 10 metres of his house. he puts his hood down and straightens himself up before entering his house because his marge will go b a l i s t i c, she doesn't take any of his shit, which is why he doesn't do drugs or anything, because his mum can sniff it out. also bakugo's never sworn on his mums life, ever.

TODOROKI :

he's from kent but tells everyone he's from london and everyone can tell because of his accent, but they let it slide because he's a calm guy. he dresses like all his other road friends to fit in, but it doesn't work. they can all smell the privilege. but again, it's all good because todoroki is a humble decent guy that dislikes his father anyways. he's the one all the girls fall for because he's just so pretty and looks so good with a beanie on. he's a classy roadman basically and everyone loves him.

[22:02] KIRISHIMA EIJROU -- masterlist

'i love you' said eijrou, calloused hands softly sifting through your hair, your eyes closed and head delicately resting in his lap.

'i know' you whispered, slightly opening your eyes to gaze into your lover's, to show him how much you meant it when you firmly replied with an 'i love you too'.

you were certain of his love, more certain than you were about needing oxygen, to breathe, to live; to you, eijrou's love is your oxygen, the reason you're still living and breathing.

and for him, he too was certain of yours, more certain than he was about the moon that shone so brightly in the night sky; even when you were absent, he could still feel your everlasting presence watching over and guiding his heart.

everyone else was undoubting of it as well. more than the force of gravity that keeps them grounded and centred, pulling them down to the heart of the earth; you kept each other grounded and centred, your hearts perfectly aligned with each other, beating in unison, as one.

they were assured of it through fits of laughter and giggles, the countless amounts of kisses peppered around both of your faces, not a single inch of your body went unloved and not a single inch of his did either.

they saw it through sweet reassurances when you were feeling down, and affirmations and declarations whenever he lost a little faith in himself.

through spontaneous dances and hushed laughter at 2am in the kitchen when sero goes downstairs in the middle of the night to get a cup of water to quench his thirst. he leaves with a wide smile and a faint blush instead, not wanting to interrupt your sweet moment.

through bakugo stomping down the hallway to go and (angrily) reassure kirishima, that his abilities were fucking awesome and that he'd be the second best hero, after himself of course. he turned the corner only to find you cupping kiri's cheeks, stamping sweet kisses and unconditional support to his forehead. ‘tch’, bakugo said, turning around and making his way back to the training room. guess shitty hair's alright he thought, lips moving upwards in the smallest of motions, he didn't even see you leave the fucking room to run after kiri. typical.

through denki and mina trying to sneak into kiri's room, to swap his shampoo with bleach, or hair gel with glue, they hadn't decided which yet, but they linked their arms and tiptoed along nonetheless.

they whispered and crept through the hallways, hushing each other when they got too loud, giggling like two little toddlers, and knocked on kiri's door. no response, they turned to each other and menacingly grinned.

they ever so carefully twisted the doorknob, slowly and found it to be unlocked. again they turned to each other and grinned, an evil laugh threatening to erupt from the both of them.

swinging the door open, the pair of them were about to burst in only to be met with the peaceful sight of two lovers, embraced in each other's warmth, sleeping soundly and blanketed with comfort.

the adrenaline in their bodies subsided and melted into a puddle of immense adoration and awe. they had no option but to gently close the door, mindful of you two sleeping, put a hold on their plans and leave you two be.

not before taking several pictures though. pictures that would circulate the class group chat, pictures that would cause endless amounts of teasing, pictures that you and kirishima would cherish forever and thank your friends for.

'i know' says eijrou. he's never been so sure of something, he thinks to himself, smiling down at you with a big toothy grin. 'i know'

izuku hated leaving you when going on patrol. it’d be the crack of dawn when he has to untangle himself from your embrace and reluctantly get out of bed, all warmth immediately leaving him, replaced with the frosty morning air. he sees you sleeping and contemplates returning, but he can't, instead moving towards the shower.

exiting the bathroom he’s met by you pouting, upset at him leaving. he feels your gaze follow him as he gets dressed and it breaks his heart. izuku can only apologise and kiss you sincerely as you make him promise to come back safe and in one piece.

mornings with eijirou were complete bliss. he’d wake you up by stamping kisses all over your face, fingers caressing your soft skin, pencilling in declarations of his adoration, an ode to his love for you. grinning ear to ear when he sees your eyes opening and a small smile forming on your face at his actions. your hair tickles his bare chest as you shift, nuzzling into him for warmth. you hum at the luxury of being able to rest on eijirou’s chest and bury your face deeper into him, lulled back to sleep by his strokes on your back.
