Sirius paraded his love for his people on everything he wore. Harry knew this through the many stories he told him of Sirius playing matchmaker for his parents.  He still wore the rings Lily had gifted him from a muggle shop long ago, he still whipped out the leather jacket James had gotten him for his birthday whenever necessary – he still wore the necklace Remus gave him in their final year of Hogwarts which often resulted in long and uncomfortable staring contests.  People can say whatever they want about Sirius. About how he is a troubled boy and loud and pompous and an all around prick whenever he gets in a right foul mood - but they could never say that he didn’t love with everything in him and that he wouldn’t fight to keep that love safe and soft. Sirius would scrub the world to softness for them if asked. 

Because if someone truly mattered to you, if they truly had carved out a place in your heart, you’d do anything for them. Because people are meant to protect their own. Meant to protect their homes and where they belonged. Because Sirius Black belonged to Lily Evans, Remus Lupin, and the Potter family.

wolfstar getting together on valentine’s day anyone??

so let’s set the scene

it’s the morning of valentine’s day in the marauder’s 5th year

the school has a system where the students can send valentine’s gifts to people anonymously and they get delivered by owl at breakfast

so the marauders are sitting there, listening to james drool into his pancakes whilst talking about lily and what he sent her

just as james gets to talking about her “auburn red hair that could set me on fire and i’d thank it”

a small box is dropped into remus’ open book on the table

he looks very startled at this as it is wrapped in pink wrapping paper with a red bow

who could have sent him, remus lupin, a valentine’s gift

remus was half expecting it to be a prank from james

but sure enough, he opens it to find a bar of his favourite chocolate and a fluffy black dog plushie

and as you can guess, remus has his suspicions

all day remus notices that sirius has been unusually quiet

james thinks it’s because he’s upset that only 5 people asked him to be their date that day

but remus

he knows

so when they get into the dorm that night, with james and peter away somewhere trying to woo lily

remus turns to sirius and says:

“well, you could have been a little more discreet.”

sirius immediately flushes red and panics

“huh? what? what do you mean? i-i don’t know what you’re talking about!”

by this point, remus is standing in front of sirius intimidatingly, whilst sirius sits on his bed

“there’s not many people in the world who know my favourite chocolate, pads. also not many who can turn into a black dog at will...”

sirius sighs and facepalms, thinking he made a mistake

remus sits down beside him and leans against the bedpost, frowning

“hey... what’s wrong? did you think i didn’t like it or something?”

sirius looks at him and says

“i just feel stupid cause it’s me you don’t like...”

remus is taken aback by this

was it the sarcasm?

but then, remus has an idea

“hey padfoot... i actually got you something too.”

sirius turns his head back towards him but before he can say anything...

remus presses his lips onto the smaller boy’s

his hands run through sirius’ hair as he pulls him into his lap, craving attention

between breaths, remus says:

“you seriously thought i’d settle for that snobby ravenclaw?”

sirius laughs and pushes him lightly, before sinking into another kiss

that night they slept in the same bed

not that they hadn’t before, during nightmares

but that night was different

that night they felt in love

because they were

Sirius and cooking

Imagine a hungry Sirius.

He missed the breakfast and lunch.

He asks for food to James but he is telling that he is too busy -ofc with Lily.

Then ,he asks to Remus. He is offering to give him choclate. But Sirius doesn’t wants. Because there is only 2 days to full moon. And chocolate is comforting Remus. Sirius knows that. So rejecting the choclate.

After that, ask to Peter and girls but they’re making excuses to not cook bcs they’re a bit busy -tbh they’re just too lazy.

But he was still too hungry. Finally he realizes that (because of Peter’s food love) they have a little kitchen in their dormitory. So he decided to make food himself.

First he can’t make the food. But he didn’t give up and tooks a muggle cooking book from library. (Probably Madam Pince would be kinda shocked, bcs... Sirius and books? Nupe. He just comes to library for seeing Remus)

He opens a random page. Lasagna. Actually lasagne is one of his favorite meals. He makes the ingredients with magic (because it is really hard to cook with magic and for students to not to cause a mess , banned in Hogwarts )

He tried to make lasagna. And he realized he is not bad at cooking.

So when he finish he tastes the lasagna and Man it tasted perfect. But it wasn’t the point that Sirius liked most. He had a lot fun while cooking.

So he decides to cook diffrent meals too.

He made beef with sauce, choclate truffle and choclate biscuits.

But guess what? HE FORGOT THE LESSONS! So his friends (included girls) went to look for him. But they didn’t look to dormitory because he loves outdoors. And he is always outside.

They got tired and hungry while looking for him. So they all decieded to go to marauders’ dormitory.

Meanwhile Sirius is staring at delicious food and doesn’t knowing what to do with these bcs he was totally full after lasagne and he was in the level of vomiting.

They enter dormitory and kinda -no i was joking, not kinda VERY- shocked.

“Sirius, where did you take them from?”

asked James. Sirius laughed. Others were trying to understand where he founds them. Sirius wasn’t telling anything.

It was Remus who understood first.

“You cooked... Right?” asked Remus.

Sirius shaked his head in the meaning of “yes” . And asked them if they are hungry.

“Yk i cant eat them alone ?”

And he saw the happiness in his friends’ eyes.

After that day Sirius start to cook every single day like a hobby.
