Hecc yeah! From my new Demon Battery story

He climbed up the stairs and shot Gideon a glare that had the other hunter shivering. 

"What?" he asked defensively, his tome held up like a shield. 

"Oh, don't pretend like you don't know," Liam said, dumping the cup out in the sink.

"Oh, come on, Liam. It's just a demon."

"He's scared! How would you feel if you were in his position, hmmm? Would you want someone tearing your blankets off and dumping water out on the floor where you can't get it?"

Gideon scoffed. "It's not the same."

"Yes, it is."

Gideon was getting worked up now as he slammed his book shut, tossing it to the side to stand up and cross the living room. "That is a demon, Liam! Who knows how many humans it's killed. It's the bad guy here!"

Liam didn't back down, stomping right up to meet Gideon. "And to him, we're hunters who have killed who knows how many of his kind and he's at our mercy! He's scared enough as it is without you tormenting him!"

Gideon shoved Liam back a step, his expression twisted with rage and confusion. "Why are you defending a demon? Are you a hunter or not!?"

"I am a hunter, but I'm human too. You and I promised each other we wouldn't lose our humanity doing this job. We are not going to turn out like my mother. Like your father!"

Liam hadn't lashed out once during their confrontation, but Gideon still stepped back like he had been slapped. 

Gideon turned his head away and Liam felt guilty immediately. "Gideon, I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to-"

"No.... doesn't matter," Gideon said. He picked at his thumb nail for an awkward moment where Liam tried to figure out what to say. Gideon cleared his throat awkwardly and said, "Um.... I won't bother the demon anymore, but I won't help take care of it-him."

Liam nodded. "I can live with that."

He turned to go finish cleaning the cup.
