one of my least favorite genres of posts is where it’s obvious the poster in question has never read any sort of feminist text/theory but they’ve read one quote and think they know what they’re talking about OR they just use that quote to make a point that said feminist was never trying to make (you see this a lot on “not all men” type posts). Audre Lorde and bell hooks are probably the biggest victims of this on here

little star — diluc 。
synopsis!! everyone knows the creator doesn't favor diluc (everyone is wrong).
cw !! gn reader, reader is peak diluc simp 😐 somewhat self-aware characters, mild sagau themes (not too much), reader is recognized as the player, reader is a little shy at first. angst with reverse comfort!
note !! the plot feels a little everywhere but i tried to organize it as best as i can, i think i got carried away eheh honestly doesn't feel up to my standards but it was pretty enjoyable to write
word count !! 2.8k something
"No, it's definitely Outrider Amber, she was the first to ever be favored."
"Are you kidding me? Outrider Amber may be the first, but sir Kaeya was definitely loved. Have you seen the sword he was gifted with?" One growls.
"It's the Acting Grand Master Jean!" Someone slams the table with his beer mug, "Twice was she bestowed with fallen stars of gold."
"I'd say that wolf boy in the woods seem lucky."
"It has to be Bennett. I don't know why but that kid has two crowns! Two!"
"You're all missing out on Miss Lisa!"
"Stop, stop! You rowdy drunks! Every vision holder in Mond has been granted favor, this is just impossible to decide!"
There was a pause. "Well. . . not every." Someone mumbles under their breath.
"Not every? Who's the poor allogene that couldn't even get the Player's favo—" Shushing sounds break his sentence, the men glare at their companion, pointing to the redhead behind the bar.
It's useless, really.
Diluc has been listening in the entire time. He can't really help it when their voices were loud enough to reach where he stood. Still, he was merciful and pretended not to hear. He's not exactly bothered by what they're saying. It was the truth, after all.
For two years, vision holders all around Teyvat were being granted favor.
It often begins with a meteor shower gracing the sky.
A star gently falling into the hands of a vision holder, embracing them in warm light.
They call the ethereal sensation as something akin to "coming home".
The favored would then be given different things; quality weapons, enhanced abilities, beautiful crowns— Some allogenes were even gifted summer apparel (Mondstadt is proud that their Gunnhildr sisters were one of the very first). Even their equipped wings would change into ornamented works of art!
It's been two years, and it seems like every allogene he knows of has received the Player's grace.
He supposed he just wasn't favored. It isn't too difficult to believe that he isn't likable.
He convinces himself it's fine.
It's fine if his summoned weapon is a cheap claymore made of scrap metal. It's still efficient to have the extra blade while he manually carries around another claymore (commissioned from Wagner as the best money could buy). Or that his abilities can only be improved through hardwork, unlike the many who broke the limits of their power through your favor.
It's fine.
As the bar goers leave for the night, as Venti and Kaeya wave around their almost divine-looking five-star weapons to show the crowd, and as he's closing up the tavern and retreating to his upstair quarters for comfort, he convinces himself that the he'll be okay on his own.
The arrival of the Creator was festive and grand; The day the sky parted itself and glowed as the brightest of all stars fell with grace into Mondstadt's very own Windrise.
Teyvat rejoices in the ecstatic ideal of being loved.
A meeting of vision holders was quickly held in the Cathedral, discussing immediate plans as some of the most favored (Venti, Jean, Kaeya, Albedo to name a few) went ahead to fetch the Creator from the large tree.
While Diluc was often the center of any other meeting due to his authority and influence, this was something he chose to step back from. Standing by the windows, away from the meeting, he watched on as Eula and the rest conversed around the circular table.
He isn't even sure why he's invited. Perhaps they felt it was obligatory for vision holders, regardless of favorability? Then again, he could always offer a fraction of his mountain-loads of wealth to help with the festivities.
At least he's competent at being a wallet.
As the others pull out their crowns and stars, weapons and artifacts, eager to thank the one responsible for the gifts, an unknown emotion bubbles in his stomach. It's faint, but it's there.
He tries to look away.
"Everyone, everyone! They're entering the gates!" Fischl announces uncharacteristically to the room as her eye glows brightly, undoubtedly looking through Oz's eyes from the sky.
"We should wait by the statue to welcome them, right?" Barbara chirps in, hands clasped and wavy hair bouncing with every step.
Diluc watches as people steadily leave the room, following last as they walk down the steps to greet the approaching group. Some civilians gathered to see the scene, others didn't really understand what a Player or Creator was to a vision holder, while Diluc—
Diluc stood by the steps to see them crowd around you.
You, surrounded with words of gratitude and cheerful squeals. He sees the smile on your face and feels relief that you don't seem too overwhelmed.
He leaves the area without a second thought.
He doesn't exactly see you around the next few days. With Mondstadt celebrating a new festival, the taverns were always full and busy with customers (both local and foreign). You were probably busy too, spending time with the different allogenes and entertaining those who came from Liyue to meet you. He's heard of a funeral consultant with three crowns (are consultants that admirable of a job to you?) and an adeptus gifted with various five-star polearms (this was understandable for the adepti, unlike the consultant).
He doesn't expect to see you at all until you leave for the next nation, honestly.
That is, until the tavern settles into a more peaceful atmosphere and Jean rushes in with several other allogenes. It's unusual to see his childhood friend in the tavern; still, he greets her amicably and asks what brings her here.
"(Name) will be coming here soon with Kaeya and a few others. It's a little impromptu, but we were hoping for a place to settle in with drinks. Perhaps try some apple cider." She smiles, taking a seat by the bar.
(Name)? Jean was already on a first name basis with the Creator?
Diluc thinks perhaps Jean truly is the favorite, she does have a few golden stars in her home.
Somehow, it's not surprising at all to know that his apple cider was famous enough to drag you in. At least there's something about the Dawn Winery in your favor. He promptly gets his employees to work, clearing a few tables near the bar, rearranging the furniture to give space good enough for a group.
Your entrance into the bar was just as lively; with your favored allogenes chatting away with you, everyone falling into place at different parts of the tavern, ordering drinks and meals.
He's glad you enjoy apple cider.
You're trying to play it cool, really. Trying your best not to get overexcited and glomp everyone and everything.
You're taking things step by step as you converse with Jean, Lisa, and Albedo; as you share meals with Barbara and Sucrose; as you play with Klee and Diona; tour the city with Fischl and Bennett. There's plenty of time to meet everyone and your schedule has been filled to the brim with all the fun your having.
You'll see that glimpse of red hair again— one that was lingering by the Cathedral staircase. Diluc doesn't like crowds, so it's fine that he isn't approaching you. It's also fine that he hasn't visited at least once, unlike the several raging from Liyue to Sumeru who took the journey to meet you early.
Diluc is too busy a person to meet you; whether it's because of the winery or his darknight hero duties, you wouldn't dare take his time.
— but when are you supposed to give him all the gifts you've brought for him???
Your determination to build him up in one go, from Talent levels to Constellations to Artifacts and Weaponry, all came down to this moment — and the man was simply nowhere to be seen!
An unknowingly loud sigh escapes your lips, catching the attention of the Cavalry Captain next to you.
"Now, what's got our (Name) so down in the dumps?" Kaeya hums, glancing at your face as you stutter a response.
"Aah it's not that, it's just. . ."
Your brother is too busy, I just want to meet him!!
"I'm thirsty." You deflect, looking around for a stall. The streets of Mond were nothing like the minimized version you see in the game; with the city being ten times larger than what you remembered it to be.
"Oh! Oh! Klee suggests apple cider!" The little girl giggles, running around your legs in excitement, "Angel's Share is nearby and big brother Albedo alwaaays takes me there for apple cider!"
Angel's Share. Bartender. A great idea has appeared!
At the excited look on your face, Jean walks up ahead of you.
"Why don't I go and inform the tavern to prepare us a space first, it would save us the waiting time."
"That would be great, Jean!"
You hope you aren't being too obvious.
With the way your eyes would linger on him, casting side glances and hoping he would greet you to strike up a conversation, the way most allogenes do. You didn't want to abruptly disturb his work, nor do you want seem desperate, so you waited for his initiative.
Yet, Diluc lingers just a little outside your group's circle. Your food and drinks were refilled by Charles, you've talked with nearly everyone but the person you want to talk to.
"It's getting pretty late, we should head home for the night." Someone suggests.
What?
No!
"Hm? Do you still have something in mind?" Kaeya asks. You realized you said it out loud, catching the attention of nearby patrons.
With a frantic glance around the tavern, your eyes make contact with Diluc's. He pauses as well, wondering what caused your little outburst.
You are definitely not leaving, not when you don't know when you could catch Diluc in his free time again! You'd be leaving for Liyue by then!
Hands slamming the table to stand up and with a small burst of courage, you approach the bartender who turns away from Charles. He raises an eyebrow at your approach. It's odd the way you feel flustered and nervous, finally facing him.
Pausing just in front of him, he looks on curiously.
"Would you like a refill?" He asks.
"A-ah no, I mean, yes but that's not why I'm here. I. . ." You stutter, stumbling over your words as you try not to behave awkwardly. Should you start with a casual topic?
"You seem to be quite busy." You say.
Diluc blinks. He isn't sure what you're implying. Neither is Kaeya or Jean, who stopped to look at the exchange of words.
"I suppose. . . but as a winery, we do thrive in impromptu festivities." He replies curtly before realizing, was it rude that he never visited the Creator?
"Ah, is it my lack of visit? I apologize, I would have visited but it seems that you were quite satisfied with your favorites and-"
"No, no, no," You wave your hand, cutting him off, "I understand you're busy. You don't have to visit at all! How could I take your time— wait," You pause, recalling his words.
"Favorites?" You tilt your head, "What do you mean I seemed satisfied with my favorites? What do you mean by favorites?"
"Your favorites... allogenes who received your favor. Those you have granted gifts."
Your jaw laxes. Favorites? They decided you play favorites based on how much you've built them?
"You think. . ." You say carefully, not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings, "That I offer gifts to my favorites?"
Diluc nods slowly, unsure of your questioning.
Although it would be a lie to say you didn't have your personal favorites, it would still be inaccurate that it's based on gifts. After all, you built everyone who came home by chance. As an avid player, you did your best to farm and push everyone to their full potential.
Diluc, however, never came home no matter how much you wanted him to. It can't be possible that he doesn't know how much he is loved, right?
"Then what about you?" You blurt out, "How do you think I view you?"
He stares at you oddly. At this point, many around you had stopped to tune in. Everyone knew Master Diluc never received your favor, so why are you conversing with him?
Meanwhile, Diluc wonders if you want him to admit it. Must he say it in front of everyone how he never received gifts?
"I suppose. . . I'm not one of them. It's quite understandable. I don't intend to question your judgement—"
"What?" You exclaim, a look of shock crosses your face, "You think I don't like you?" Voice raised in disbelief, you feel the eyes of many turning to watch the scene.
Diluc mirrors your confusion.
"I can't believe you would– no, that isn't it at all!" You stutter over your words, a frantic need to prove him wrong goes through you, "You— you of all people!"
"Me?" He repeats.
"I've always wanted you!"
A silence settles over the tavern. Did you have to put it so bluntly? You freeze in shock at your own words. Diluc's expression of disbelief turns flustered, face turning as red as his hair.
Explain yourself.
"I- I mean, I've always wanted you to come home. Ever since the start, really! It's just that you never did-"
"Hmm... so it implies that it's out of your control, correct?" Kaeya piqued, looking on curiously. He's been listening in the entire time. You nod your head.
"Yes! It's a game of chance for me as well. It's not to say that favor is an accident, I truly wanted everyone to come home! It's just that—" You turn to Diluc, "You never did, no matter how much I wanted you to. How was I supposed to give you your gifts?"
Diluc snaps out of his shock, blinking at you, "Gifts?"
"Yes, gifts! I've been saving them up for you, ever since the start." You pause, shyly looking away, "When I said I wanted you since the beginning I meant it. I came here for you, after all."
He looks at you in disbelief, and probably half the tavern as well. You can't help the small chuckle from your lips. With an outstretched hand, something materializes between you. It glows a blinding golden light, before settling to reveal–
"Wolf's Gravestone. It's a weapon for you."
You didn't have to say it— anyone with eyes could see how it was practically made for Diluc. With large handles and a color scheme that matches his own, Wolf's gravestone doesn't look as divine or ethereal as the other weapons you've gifted, but it looked just as powerful, if not menacing.
With a gesture, Diluc grips the handle.
"Fits like a glove." Kaeya whistles, impressed. As does the rest of the tavern who stopped to stare.
Suddenly, flames burst forth from the weapon. It sears and glows red. Unlike the common claymore that can't handle the the prowess of Diluc's flames, Wolf's Gravestone embraces it. Like an extension of his own hand.
He breaks his gaze away from the weapon to look at you.
"Thank you. . ." He mutters softly, but it's genuine. You smile.
"That's not the last of it, you know."
"What?"
With another flick of your hand, artifacts and talent books materialize. They flow around him like a dance as more and more begin to appear, lighting up the tavern like the night sky.
"I told you I brought gifts!"
All the days spent farming for him and other pyro characters finally paid off. The glimmering artifacts reflected in his own red eyes as he stares, entranced.
Favor did not come to him in meteor showers like it did to the other allogenes; rather, it came to him in your form. Proof of him being loved. The spectacle continued— after the artifacts and talent levels were the constellation (the crowd ooh'ed and aah'ed at the sight), then came the five star apparel (a nostalgic sight to him, and it changed his flames to a darker red), and the ascension materials you passed off as trinkets.
By the end of it, he had a hand over his lower face, his red bangs hid just the ends of his eyes. "I just thought I wasn't that favorable. . ." He muttered and you leaned in to peek at his covered face, wondering why he was shying away.
But it was evident to the tavern— the pink dusted ears, the flushed cheeks, and the overwhelming emotion in his eyes. Diluc Ragnvindr was flustered, and it's a sight enough to make even the drunks place down their beers for a closer look.
You bit your lip, trying to prevent the widest of smiles, "Do you believe yourself loved now?" You ask and he gives the faintest of nods.
"Thank you," He says, "For favoring me."

Worship Styles
Lisa- The Hopeful
Posted on my sister's birthday, because Lisa is her favorite <3
Warnings: cult behavior, obsessive thoughts, religion
Gender Neutral. I will always use "The Divine One," "The Original," and "The Creator" as terms for the reader along with They/Them pronouns unless specified otherwise by a requester
Lisa is a very powerful mage, however she's also very tired
But, as far as worship goes, she's found away around the hassle
Mostly by providing incense and burners in the library, knights come in on occasion to drop off more, and she doesn't even have to stop working or reading to do proper worship
Prayer is easy, Lisa prays every night for a prosperous tomorrow
Lisa does keep track of the general elemental energy around Mondstadt, and she marks the traces of your presence in some notes
Some days they're a little low, and she warns Jean to keep patrols a little lighter that day
Jean didn't listen the first time and they nearly lost a few knights, so now she knows
But one day your presence is immense! Lisa is delighted, you must be returning to Teyvat somehow, maybe you'd been slumbering... Or maybe you'd been separated but, you were here now!
Mondstadt, and Lisa could only imagine that all the other nations, were in a time of unparalleled prosperity
And then... Well Stormterror happened...
Lisa wasn't sure what that meant... Were you angry? It seemed your presence was as high as it had been so...
And when the Traveler shows up, your first vessel? Outrider Amber as your second? Lisa is shocked, and she really hopes you choose her too...
A couple days later and she becomes a vessel. It's new feeling... But a wonderful one
Lisa works hard as a vessel, but when you descend she gets a moment to breathe
Meeting you was incredible, you were everything she could have hoped for, and believe me, she hoped for a lot

About The Cultists I
How some members of The Church of Mondstadt joined the cult, what they did in the cult, and where they went when they were told to leave.
The Brainrot that started it all
Ft. Aether, Albedo, Amber, Barbara, Bennett, Diluc, Diona, Eula, Fischl, Jean, Kaeya, Klee, Lisa, Mika, Mona, Noelle, Razor, Rosaria, Sucrose, Venti
Tw: Cults, Children being in cults, Child Abuse
Published: September 3, 2023
Words: 1,704 (1,667 w/o the names)
Pages: 5.1 (4.8 w/o the names)
Aether Via: Was introduced to it by his sister and daughter shortly after waking from a five-year coma. But didn't join until two months later, when he met a third member of the cult; a police officer named Amber. Shortly after joining, he became the one and only mailman for the cult. Or rather, one of the only mailmen, as he prefers to take his daughter with him. Because he doesn't have a car, and it takes a day's walk to get from one compound to another. Was one of the few members that didn't get their own place when everyone was told to disperse. Currently has no job.
Albedo Kriedeprinz: Was introduced to it by his mother's friend Alice, during his college years. Joined shortly after graduating, and after a visit to the Temple of Liyue, he dedicated himself to perfectly recreating Their Grace's appearance. He learned several different forms of art to do so, from crafting stained glass portraits to carving concrete statues. When told to get his own place, he got a two-bedroom suburbian house between his job, a park, and the Church, to make things convenient for him and Klee. Currently works as the Head Forensic Scientist for the Teyvat City Police Department.
Amber Outrider: Was introduced to it by her superiors, Jean and Kaeya, when she was in police training. Joined shortly after her grandfather went missing. She didn't have much to do there, until some teens and kids moved in, which is when she appointed herself as their unofficial PE teacher. A job that she continues after she's commanded to move off-property. She moved into an apartment near the heart of Teyvat City, which she shares with her friend Eula, and Eula's friend Yanfei. Currently works as a patrol officer for the Teyvat City Police Department.
Barbara Pegg: Was introduced to it by her sister Jean, and a nomad named Alice, not long before she became an idol. But didn't officially join until her father found out and kicked her out of the house for "Betraying God". After quite some time there, she became both the Deaconess for the Church, and a nurse for the people living there. Is one of the few that didn't move off the compound when everyone was told to move out. Currently works as an Idol on YouTube.
Bennett: Was introduced to the cult by his childhood friend Barbara, and joined after running away from his abusive foster home. When he's not studying or sparring, he's either wandering the fields that surround the Church, or exploring the distant forest behind it. Due to still being a minor, he never moved out of the Church. Currently has no job.
Diluc Ragnvindr: Was introduced to the cult by his boss, Varka, but didn't join until years later, when the Church of Snezhnaya saved his life. He stayed there for a bit, before discovering that several old friends were members of the Church of Mondstadt. That, combined with the fact that the Church of the first-born was closer to the Dawn Winery than that of the seventh-born, inspired him to move compounds. Sells wine to the cult at a 75% discount. When he was told to get his own place, he simply had a small renovation done to the Dawn Winery and moved in there. Currently works as the CEO of Dawn Winery, and the Restauranteur of a bar named Angels Share.
Diona Katzlein: Was introduced into the cult by Kaeya after he saved her from a fierce winter storm, and joined them shortly after. She was disturbed to learn that the majority of the members drank alcohol, but pleased to learn that none of them were abusive like her dad. She has taken it upon herself to create a drink so disgusting that it would turn her new family away from drinking, but has yet to do so. Due to her age, she never moved off the compound. Currently has no job.
Eula Lawrence: Was introduced to the cult by Amber shortly after becoming a cop, and joined after discovering how geniunely nice a majority of the members were. Teaches the teens how to navigate the wild after noticing them go on multi-day adventures. Gets an apartment for her, Amber and Yanfei to move into in Teyvat City. Currently works as the Captain of Teyvat City's Fourth Precinct.
Fischl Luftschloss-Nerfidort: Was introduced to the cult by Bennett, and joined when she realized that it would surround her with kindred spirits. Was almost overjoyed that they let her crow familiar, Oz, stay with her inside the Church as opposed to outside of it. Often goes on adventures with the other teens, which aid her in remembering tales from her homeworld. Still lives in the Church. Currently has no job.
Jean Gunnhildr: Was introduced to the cult by Varka, but didn't join until after a curropt cop drove her childhood friend away. After joining, she slowly but surely worked her way up to High Priestess of the Church of Mondstadt, and as a reward, became one of the few people in the cult to know who Barbatos was disguised as. Her position as High Priestess gave her permission to stay at the Church when everyone was told to move out, but she decided to get a house in Teyvat's suburbs with Lisa. Currently works as the Deputy Police Chief in Teyvat City.
Kaeya Alberich: Similarly to his brother, he was introduced to the cult by Varka, but didn't join until after Crepus's death, when the Church of Mondstadt saved his life. Out of all the members, he spends the least amount of time on the compound, as he's either busy working, or busy spreading the word of Their Grace. Got himself a one-bedroom apartment when he was told to move out. Currently works as the Captain of Teyvat City's First Precinct.
Klee Hexenzirkl: Was born into and raised by the cult, although it did take her a few years to become an official member, as no one knew what kind of Vision to give her. Spends most of her time creating fun shows for the other members, all of which are loud, colorful, and accidentally destructive. Is the only- if not, then one of the only- members to move out of the Church when the adults received the command. Currently has no job.
Lisa Minci: Was introduced to the cult by her old college classmate, Cyno, but didn't join until after she met and befriended Jean. Is the founder of the Church of Mondstadt's library, and spends her time either managing it, or teaching the teens and kids inside of it. Is currently renting a house in Teyvat City's suburbs with Jean. Currently works as the Head Librarian in the Teyvat City Library.
Mika Schmidtt: Was introduced to the cult by his brother's, Huffman, coworkers back when he was a teen. But he didn't join until after he graduated from police training. His job at the cult is to scout for new members to join, and report all he finds on them to people like Varka and Kaeya. Currently lives in a studio apartment in Teyvat City. Currently works as a patrol officer for the TCPD.
Mona Megistus: Was saved from homelessness by the cult- The Church of Fontain, to be specific- who helped her get back onto her feet. But later moved into the Church of Mondstadt to spare herself from the COF's High Priest. Spends her time predicting either day-to-day events, or bigger, slow-moving ones. Currently lives in a studio apartment in Teyvat City. Currently works as an astrology/zodiac writer for a news company known as The Steambird.
Noelle Maiden: Was introduced to the cult by Jean and Kaeya while at the police academy, but didn't join the cult until she failed her training for the third time in a row. Spends most of her time either cleaning the Church of Mondstadt, or cooking food for her fellow Worshipers. When told to move out, she got herself a job as a full-time nanny for a rich family in Teyvat City. She lives with them in their penthouse.
Razor: Was introduced to the cult when Barbatos and his followers chose their Church of Mondstadt, but didn't join until he befriended Varka and Lisa. Spends his time showing the other teens, and sometimes the children, how to navigate the forest behind the Church. Never moved out because of his age, but technically never moved in, either, as he prefers sleeping in the woods.
Rosaria Church: Was introduced to the cult by Varka, but didn't join until they saved her from a life of crime. She adored the cult's endless kindess to her, and decided to repay it by becoming the first nun of the Church of Mondstadt. But after Morax's disappearance, she was contracted by Varka and Jean to keep the cult safe. Currently still lives in the Church with Barabara and the children.
Sucrose Bio: Was introduced to the cult through Albedo during her college years, but didn't join until after she lost her only two friends. Is constantly trying to invent things to make her fellow Believer's lives easier, or constantly trying to improve the things she's already invented. Is currently living with her coworker, Timaeus, and works as a Forensic Pathologist for the TCPD.
Venti Himmel: Is the first member of Creator's Grace, and was granted the position of Anemo Archon, a vessel of the deceased firstborn, Mondstadt, due to recruiting thirty new members within a month. And is also the only one of the only still-remaining Archons. Prefers to keep his identity secret so he can a) relax more and b) get a closer and more personal look at his follower's lives. As the Archon of the Church of Mondstadt, he was allowed to stay, but decided to move out to keep the appearance of him being 'just another member' up. Is currently living in a homeless shelter, and gains his money by performing street art.

Operation Stumpy Re-Read
TWOW: Mercy (Arya)
She woke with a gasp, not knowing who she was, or where. The smell of blood was heavy in her nostrils… or was that her nightmare, lingering? She had dreamed of wolves again, of running through some dark pine forest with a great pack at her hells, hard on the scent of prey. [...] She took a breath to quiet the howling in her heart, trying to remember more of what she'd dreamt, but most of it had gone already. There had been blood in it, though, and a full moon overhead, and a tree that watched her as she ran.
A full moon, with Bran watching, how sweet.
Allow me to revisit an old theory from AFFC.
In 2014, George confirmed Jeyne Westerling will make an appearance in the prologue of The Winds of Winter. I speculated that it seems highly plausible that the tension-filled escort to Casterly Rock will serve as the focus of that chapter.
In case you weren't here for Jaime VII, AFFC, there is significant emphasis placed on how critical that escort is, and what a disaster it would be if Edmure and/or Jeyne were to escape.
Lord Beric may try to free Edmure before they reach the Golden Tooth. Jaime did not want to have to capture Tully for a third time. - Jaime VII, AFFC
x
"Show them in." At least the girl did not vanish too. - Jaime VII, AFFC
x
When Edmure and the Westerlings departed, four hundred men rode with them; Jaime had doubled the escort again at the last moment. - Jaime VII, AFFC
x
"We don't know where the Blackfish is," Jaime reminded him, "but if he can cut Edmure free, he will."
"That will not happen, my lord." Like most innkeeps, Ser Forley was no man's fool. "Scouts and outriders will screen our march, and we'll fortify our camps by night. I have picked ten men to stay with Tully day and night, my best longbowmen. If he should ride so much as a foot off the road, they will loose so many shafts at him that his own mother would take him for a goose." - Jaime VII, AFFC
x
"Good." Jaime would as lief have Tully reach Casterly Rock safely, but better dead than fled. - Jaime VII, AFFC
x
"—the Young Wolf's widow," Jaime finished, "and twice as dangerous as Edmure if she were ever to escape us." - Jaime VII, AFFC
The problem is, Lady Stoneheart is undermanned and not well positioned to intercept, and the Blackfish is one man against four hundred, so how could Edmure and/or Jeyne possibly escape?
Well, it just so happens that as we progress through Jaime's chapters, we get frequent updates on a certain pack of wolves.
The next day Ser Dermot of the Rainwood returned to the castle, empty-handed. When asked what he'd found, he answered, "Wolves. Hundreds of the bloody beggars." He'd lost two sentries to them. The wolves had come out of the dark to savage them. "Armed men in mail and boiled leather, and yet the beasts had no fear of them. Before he died, Jate said the pack was led by a she-wolf of monstrous size. A direwolf, to hear him tell it. The wolves got in amongst our horse lines too. The bloody bastards killed my favorite bay." - Jaime VII, AFFC
Hundreds of the bloody things!
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
If you are, scroll up, and reread the intro to Arya's first TWOW chapter.
Doesn't it feel like we're being offered a brief glimpse into the events of the prologue?
+.+.+
Half-light filled the room, grey and gloomy. Shivering, she sat up in bed and ran a hand across her scalp. Stubble bristled against her palm. I need to shave before Izembaro sees. Mercy, I'm Mercy, and tonight I'll be raped and murdered. Her true name was Mercedene, but Mercy was all anyone ever called her…
Get it, get it??
"Some call her that. Some call her other things. The Silent Sister. Mother Merciless. The Hangwoman." - Brienne VIII, AFFC
x
"Mycah." Arya stepped away from him. "You don't deserve the gift of mercy." - Arya XIII, ASOS
+.+.+
The air had grown chilly… and a good thing, else she might have slept all day. It would be just like Mercy to sleep through her own rape.
You know how they made Bran emotionally detached, and socially disconnected?
I'm being totally sincere when I say that's how I would describe Arya in this chapter. It's unsettling, and difficult to read.
+.+.+
Dipping a rough cloth, she washed herself head to heel, standing on one leg at a time to scrub her calloused feet.
At least she's bathing.
If you look hard enough you can still find remnants of Arya.
"Syrio says a water dancer can stand on one toe for hours." Her hands flailed at the air to steady herself. - Eddard V, AGOT
+.+.+
After that she found her razor. A bare scalp helped the wigs fit better, Izembaro claimed.
Arya following in the footsteps of Cersei and Daenerys.
+.+.+
One of her stockings needed mending, she saw as she pulled it up. She would ask the Snapper for help; her own sewing was so wretched that the wardrobe mistress usually took pity on her.
Again, if you look hard enough you can still find remnants of Arya.
+.+.+
Last of all she threw her cloak across her shoulders. It was a real mummer's cloak, purple wool lined in red silk, with a hood to keep the rain off, and three secret pockets too. She'd hid some coins in one of those, an iron key in another, a blade in the last.
What's the key? To the sanctum?
One passage was closed off by a heavy iron door. The priest hung the lantern from a hook, slipped a hand inside his robe, and produced an ornate key. - The Ugly Little Girl, ADWD
If it is, I don't think she's supposed to have one of those.
+.+.+
Most days she preferred to go the long way, down the Ragman's Road along the Outer Harbor, where she had the sea before her and the sky above, and a clear view across the Great Lagoon to the Arsenal and the piney slopes of Sellagoro's Shield. Sailors would hail her as she passed the docks, calling down from the decks of tarry Ibbenese whalers and big-bellied Westerosi cogs.
Is the harbor your favourite spot, Mercy?
Tumblr media
+.+.+
The long way also took her across the Bridge of Eyes with its carved stone faces.
How could this not have something to do with Bran?
+.+.+
She heard a cat yowl plaintively. Braavos was a good city for cats, and they roamed everywhere, especially at night. In the fog all cats are grey, Mercy thought. In the fog all men are killers.
Same in the riverlands.
Behind it sat a woman all in grey - Brienne VIII, AFFC

The other girl in grey.
+.+.+
Mercy passed an old man with a lantern walking the other way, and envied him his light. The street was so gloomy she could scarcely see where she was stepping. In the humbler parts of the city, the houses, shops, and warehouses crowded together, leaning on each other like drunken lovers, their upper stories so close that you could step from one balcony to the next. The streets below became dark tunnels where every footfall echoed. The small canals were even more hazardous, since many of the houses that lined them had privies jutting out over the water.
You'll be fine. I trust you in dark tunnels, child.
+.+.+
Izembaro loved to give the Sealord's speech from The Merchant's Melancholy Daughter, about how "here the last Titan yet stands, astride the stony shoulders of his brothers," but Mercy preferred the scene where the fat merchant shat on the Sealord's head as he passed underneath in his gold-and-purple barge. Only in Braavos could something like that happen, it was said, and only in Braavos would Sealord and sailor alike howl with laughter to see it.
The Merchant's Melancholy Daughter and the Titan had me thinking this is somehow related to Sansa and Littlefinger, but I have no idea how.
+.+.+
When Izembaro had first dubbed himself the King of the Mummers, the company had taken a wicked pleasure in it, savoring the outrage of their rivals from the Dome and the Blue Lantern. Of late, though, Izembaro had begun to take his title too seriously. "He will only play kings now," Marro said, rolling his eyes, "and if the play has no king in it, he would sooner not stage it at all." The Bloody Hand offered two kings, the fat one and the boy. Izembaro would play the fat one. It was not a large part, but he had a fine speech as he lay dying, and a splendid fight with a demonic boar before that.
This play is sounding a bit familiar!
+.+.+
Izembaro was telling everyone that he expected the Gate to be packed to the rafters this evening, despite the fog. "The King of Westeros is sending his envoy to do homage to the King of the Mummers tonight," he told his troupe. "We will not disappoint our fellow monarch."
I doubt Tommen is alive at this point, I'm guessing they haven't received the memo. I could be wrong though.
+.+.+
Every mummer's troupe had to have a dwarf. He [Bobono] was theirs. When he saw Mercy, he gave her a leer. "Oho," he said, "there she is. Is the little girl all ready for her rape?" He smacked his lips.
There's a dwarf in this play! I wonder what role he'll play.
+.+.+
The King of the Mummers ignored the brief commotion. He was still talking, telling the mummers how magnificent they must be. Besides the Westerosi envoy, there would be keyholders in the crowd this evening, and famous courtesans as well. He did not intend for them to leave with a poor opinion of the Gate.
The Westerosi envoy is Harys Swyft, master of coin, and Cersei Lannister's new (old) lapdog. The keyholders are five officials from the Iron Bank.
That seems like a promising sign for Queen Cersei.
+.+.+
And Bobono's cock was indeed flopping out. It was made to flop out, for the rape. What a hideous thing, Mercy thought as she knelt before the dwarf to fix him. The cock was a foot long and as thick as her arm, big enough to be seen from the highest balcony. The dyer had done a poor job with the leather, though; the thing was a mottled pink and white, with a bulbous head the color of a plum. Mercy pushed it back into Bobono's breeches and laced him back up. "Mercy," he sang as she tied him tight, "Mercy, Mercy, come to my room tonight and make a man of me." "I'll make a eunuch of you if you keep unlacing yourself just so I'll fiddle with your crotch." "We were meant to be together, Mercy," Bobono insisted. "Look, we're just the same height."
Even his manhood was ugly, thick and veined, with a bulbous purple head. - Sansa III, ASOS
This play follows canon better than Game of Thrones.
+.+.+
He is teasing me, Mercy thought. He's not drunk tonight, he knows the show perfectly well. "We are doing Phario's new Bloody Hand, in honor of the envoy from the Seven Kingdoms." "Now I recall." Bobono lowered his voice to a sinister croak. "The seven-faced god has cheated me," he said. "My noble sire he made of purest gold, and gold he made my siblings, boy and girl. But I am formed of darker stuff, of bones and blood and clay, twisted into this rude shape you see before you." With that, he grabbed at her chest, fumbling for a nipple. "You have no titties. How can I rape a girl with no titties?" She caught his nose between her thumb and forefinger and twisted. "You'll have no nose until you get your hands off me." "Owwwww," the dwarf squealed, releasing her. "I'll grow titties in a year or two." Mercy rose, to tower over the little man. "But you'll never grow another nose. You think of that, before you touch me there." Bobono rubbed his tender nose. "There's no need to get so shy. I'll be raping you soon enough." "Not until the second act."
"I always give Wendeyne's titties a nice squeeze when I rape her in The Anguish of the Archon," the dwarf complained. "She likes it, and the pit does too. You have to please the pit."
Honestly, what compelled George R. R. Martin to write this?
+.+.+
Daena recognized some Gate regulars in the crowd, and pointed them out for her; the dyer Dellono with his pinched white face and mottled purple hands, Galeo the sausage-maker in his greasy leather apron, tall Tomarro with his pet rat on his shoulder. "Tomarro best not let Galeo see that rat," Daena warned. "That's the only meat he puts in them sausages, I hear." Mercy covered her mouth and laughed.
Hide the rat!
Not that it matters, but I'm a little thrown off by a Braavosi mummer having a Targaryen name.
+.+.+
The Sealord had never visited the Gate, but Izembaro named a box for him anyway, the largest and most opulent in the house. "That must be the Westerosi envoy. Have you ever seen such clothes on an old man? And look, he's brought the Black Pearl!"
[...]
"They should call her the Brown Pearl," Mercy said to Daena. "She's more brown than black." "The first Black Pearl was black as a pot of ink," said Daena. "She was a pirate queen, fathered by a Sealord's son on a princess from the Summer Isles. A dragon king from Westeros took her for his lover." "I would like to see a dragon," Mercy said wistfully.
Be careful what you wish for.
I still don't understand the purpose of all this Black Pearl x Targaryen backstory.
+.+.+
"Why does the envoy have a chicken on his chest?"
Daena howled. "Mercy, don't you know anything? It's his siggle. In the Sunset Kingdoms all the lords have siggles. Some have flowers, some have fish, some have bears and elks and other things. See, the envoy's guards are wearing lions."
It wouldn't be an Arya chapter if she wasn't struggling to identify a sigil.
+.+.+
There were four guards; big, hard-looking men in ringmail, with heavy Westerosi longswords sheathed at their hips. Their crimson cloaks were bordered in whorls of gold, and golden lions with red garnet eyes clasped each cloak at the shoulder. When Mercy glanced at the faces beneath the gilded, lion-crested helm, her belly gave a quiver. The gods have given me a gift.
Uh oh!
Dunsen, Polliver, Chiswyck, Raff the Sweetling. The Tickler and the Hound. Ser Amory, Ser Ilyn, Ser Meryn, King Joffrey, Queen Cersei.
+.+.+
"What of him? Do you know him?" "No." Mercy had been born and bred in Braavos, how could she know some Westerosi? She had to think a moment. "It's only… well, he's fair to look on, don't you think?" He was, in a rough-hewn way, though his eyes were hard. Daena shrugged. "He's very old. Not so old as the other ones, but… he could be thirty. And Westerosi. They're terrible savages, Mercy. Best stay well away from his sort."
George thinks calling the westerners savages one time is going to save him from criticism.
Every time a young girl calls 30-year-old men old, I smile.
+.+.+
"If the Snapper comes looking for me, tell her that I went off to read my lines again." She only had a few, and most were just, "Oh, no, no, no," and "Don't, oh don't, don't touch me," and "Please, m'lord, I am still a maiden," but this was the first time Izembaro had given her any lines at all, so it was only to be expected that poor Mercy would want to get them right.
Good lord.
What do we know about this play? We know a dwarf playing Tyrion is going to rape the maiden Mercy is playing. Any guesses who that might be?
I know what you're thinking, but it's probably not Sansa.
Mercy, I'm Mercy, and tonight I'll be raped and murdered.
Sansa wasn't murdered, and she'd have more lines.
+.+.+
"Seven hells, this place is damp," she heard her guard complain. "I'm chilled to the bones. Where are the bloody orange trees? I always heard there were orange trees in the Free Cities. Lemons and limes. Pomegranates. Hot peppers, warm nights, girls with bare bellies. Where are the bare-bellied girls, I ask you?" "Down in Lys, and Myr, and Old Volantis," the other guard replied. He was an older man, big-bellied and grizzled. "I went to Lys with Lord Tywin once, when he was Hand to Aerys. Braavos is north of King's Landing, fool. Can't you read a bloody map?"
Is that George R. R. Martin trolling his own fanbase?
+.+.+
"How long do you think we'll be here?"
"Longer than you'd like," the old man replied. "If he goes back without the gold the queen will have his head.
In case you missed ADWD's Epilogue, that is a pretty blatant spoiler sitting in plain sight.
Harys Swyft wasn't to travel to Braavos until after Cersei's trial, an event where there's a possibility she'll be executed.
Now he finds himself in Braavos, facing the prospect of losing his head if he doesn't retrieve gold for a queen. Doesn't sound like Margaery Tyrell, does it? Looks like Cersei Lannister managed to survive!
We're now forced to ask ourselves why Margaery Tyrell (Queen), Mace Tyrell (Hand of the King), Randyll Tarly (Master of laws), Paxter Redwyne (Master of ships - not currently in King's Landing, but I'm making a point), and the High Sparrow (High Septon of the Faith of the Seven) are suddenly granting Cersei Lannister the authority to do anything at all.
I have a theory: they're dead, she killed most of them at the trial.
+.+.+
"Longer than you'd like," the old man replied. "If he goes back without the gold the queen will have his head. Besides, I seen that wife of his. There's steps in Casterly Rock she can't go down for fear she'd get stuck, that's how fat she is. Who'd go back to that, when he has his sooty queen?"
For some reason, we're getting additional information about Harys Swyft's unknown wife. That tells me we might be seeing both her and Dorna Swyft in King's Landing soon (Kevan's funeral?).
"Hardstone has cleared the broken men from Darry castle," he replied. "Lancel's bride awaits us there."
"Will your lady wife (Dorna) be joining you for the nuptials?" - Cersei III, AFFC
x
"Your wife … do you mean to bring her to court?"
"No." Dorna was a gentle soul, never comfortable but at home with friends and kin around her. - Epilogue, ADWD
That should please Cersei.
+.+.+
When the dwarf appeared suddenly from behind a wooden tombstone, the crowd began to hiss and curse. Bobono waddled to the front of the stage and leered at them. "The seven-faced god has cheated me," he began, snarling the words. "My noble sire he made of purest gold, and gold he made my siblings, boy and girl. But I am formed of darker stuff, of bones and blood and clay…"
By then Marro had appeared behind him, gaunt and terrible in the Stranger's long black robes. His face was black as well, his teeth red and shiny with blood, while ivory horns jutted upwards from his brow. Bobono could not see him, but the balconies could, and now the pit as well. The Gate grew deathly quiet. Marro moved forward silently.
A mummer playing the Stranger appears behind Tyrion?
This brings me immense joy.
+.+.+
So did Mercy. The costumes were all hung, and the Snapper was busy sewing Daena into her gown for the court scene, so Mercy's absence should not be noted. Quiet as a shadow, she slipped around the back again, up to where the guardsmen stood outside the envoy's box.
Again, if you look hard enough you can still find remnants of Arya.
+.+.+
On stage, Bobono was bargaining with Marro's sinister Stranger. He had a big voice for such a little man, and he made it ring off the highest rafters now. "Give me the cup," he told the Stranger, "for I shall drink deep. And if it tastes of gold and lion’s blood, so much the better. As I cannot be the hero, let me be the monster, and lesson them in fear in place of love."
Bargaining with the Stranger? No damnit, hold firm, Stranger.
What is this drinking deep? Cersei and Jaime poison things? Joffrey's cup? I don't understand this.
Also, that last line sounds like something Daenerys might say.
Tumblr media
+.+.+
She studied it carefully, to be sure. Am I too young for him? she wondered. Too plain? Too skinny? She hoped he wasn't the sort of man who liked big breasts on a girl. Bobono had been right about her chest. It would be best if I could take him back to my place, have him all to myself. But will he come with me?
He'll want me or he won't, she thought, so let the play begin.
x
Fuss and feathers, Mercy thought, they only know the Common Tongue. That was no good. Give it up or go ahead. She could not give it up. She wanted him so bad.
Are you having fun yet?
+.+.+
Mercy looked down at her feet, so shy. "Izembaro said to please the lords," she whispered. "If there is anything you want, anything at all…" The two guardsmen exchanged a look. Then the handsome one reached out and touched her breast. "Anything?" "You’re disgusting," said the older man. "Why? If this Izembaro wants to be hospitable, it would be rude to refuse." He gave her nipple a tweak through the fabric of her dress, just the way the dwarf had done when she was fixing his cock for him. "Mummers are the next best thing to whores." "Might be, but this one is a child." "I am not," lied Mercy. "I'm a maiden now." "Not for long," said the comely one. "I'm Lord Rafford, sweetling, and I know just what I want. Hike up those skirts now, and lean back against that wall."
"Not here," Mercy said, brushing his hands away. "Not where the play is on. I might cry out, and Izembaro would be mad."
Isn't this awesome?
+.+.+
He grabbed her wrist. "I'll do the teaching. Time for your first lesson." He pulled her hard against him and kissed her on the lips, forcing his tongue into her mouth. It was all wet and slimy, like an eel. Mercy licked it with her own tongue, then broke away from him, breathless. "Not here. Someone might see. My room's not far, but hurry. I have to be back before the second act, or I'll miss my rape."
She's so incredibly badass, isn't she?
+.+.+
"Mercy," he said. "My name is Raff."
"I know." She slipped her hand between his legs, and felt how hard he was through the wool of his breeches.
"The laces," he urged her. "Be a sweet girl and undo them." Instead she slid her finger down along the inside of his thigh. He gave a grunt. "Damn, be careful there, you —"
Mercy gave a gasp and stepped away, her face confused and frightened. "You're bleeding."
"Wha —" He looked down at himself. "Gods be good. What did you do to me, you little cunt?" The red stain spread across his thigh, soaking the heavy fabric.
The creators of Game of Thrones would like you to cheer now.
+.+.+
"Mother have mercy, girl. A healer… run and find a healer, quick now."
"There's one on the next canal, but he won't come. You have to go to him. Can't you walk?"
"Walk?" His fingers were slick with blood. "Are you blind, girl? I'm bleeding like a stuck pig. I can't walk on this."
"Well," she said, "I don't know how you'll get there, then."
"You'll need to carry me."
See? thought Mercy. You know your line, and so do I.
"Think so?" asked Arya, sweetly.
Raff the Sweetling looked up sharply as the long thin blade came sliding from her sleeve. She slipped it through his throat beneath the chin, twisted, and ripped it back out sideways with a single smooth slash. A fine red rain followed, and in his eyes the light went out.
There's Arya! Doing Arya things.
Earlier:
"You could be a mummer, if you wanted," she told him, as he pressed her up against the wall of the playhouse.
"Me?" The guardsman snorted. "Not me, girl. All that bloody talking, I wouldn't remember half of it."
"It's hard at first," she admitted. "But after a time it comes easier. I could teach you to say a line. I could."
Annndddd much earlier than that:
"Can you walk?" He sounded concerned.
"No," said Lommy. "You got to carry me."
"Think so?" The man lifted his spear casually and drove the point through the boy's soft throat. Lommy never even had time to yield again. He jerked once, and that was all. - Arya V, ACOK
Rest in hell, Raff the Sweetling.
+.+.+
"Mercy, Mercy, Mercy," she sang sadly. A foolish, giddy girl she'd been, but good hearted. She would miss her, and she would miss Daena and the Snapper and the rest, even Izembaro and Bobono. This would make trouble for the Sealord and the envoy with the chicken on his chest, she did not doubt. She would think about that later, though. Just now, there was no time. I had best run. Mercy still had some lines to say, her first lines and her last, and Izembaro would have her pretty little empty head if she were late for her own rape.
Make trouble for the Sealord and the envoy? Is the Iron Bank going to be forced to give Harys Swyft money to make up for this? Cersei Lannister, you never lose. Lol.
Anyway, notice how the author intentionally made that impossible to enjoy? Apparently David & Dan didn't.
Final thoughts:
And so, we reach the end of the last Arya chapter, a character who holds a special place in my heart.
Before we proceed, I'd like to take a moment to express my gratitude to someone without whom this reread project wouldn't have been possible.

Thank you, friend. We'll meet again someday.

(Genshin Impact) Jean, Eula, Amber, and Rosaria's S/O cosplaying as them
Tumblr media
I feel like my feet would rather die than wear any of their heels. Thanks for the ask @gachaimaginesforall, hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Jean is surprised how accurate S/O's outfit is.
And at the same time, she can't help but be satisfied with the outfit. It looks exactly what a Grand Master should wear. Well, an Acting one, anyway.
(Jean) "Even down to the bow? I'm impressed S/O!"
Though she finds it a tad bit creepy. How did they get the gold lining in the outfit down too?
Regardless, she doesn't mind if it's a one-off thing dressing as her. As long as it isn't permanent, that's going to get confusing if someone sees S/O wearing her outfit.
Tumblr media
(Eula) "Is this supposed to be some kind of joke?"
Eula thinks it's some kind of practical joke until she sees how lovingly recreated her outfit is on S/O.
Flattered, but honestly weirded out. Of all the people to dress up as, why her?
(Eula) "Hmph. I hope that you will not be bullied for your choice of clothing."
She's a bit worried some idiot might mistake S/O as her and harass them.
It's impressive how accurate it was to her though.
Tumblr media
Amber loves the cosplay!
(Amber) "Oooh, now all that's missing is your very own Baron Bunny!"
She loves the stitchwork on S/O's outfit, but her jaw drops once she realizes it's almost 1 to 1 to her outfit.
(Amber) "No way! How did you make it this well?!"
Besides the impossible recreation, she's really flattered that S/O decided to dress as her.
She thinks they look fantastic in an Outrider outfit.
Tumblr media
Rosaria takes one look at their outfit, and the slightest hint of a smirk appears on her face.
(Rosaria) "...Nice."
They make her outfit work a lot more than she thought they would.
Though a part of her wonders where did they get the outfit?
Because what she was wearing was modified Sister clothes, and S/O's looked exactly the same.
Did they steal one of the sister's outfits to just look like her?
If so, she's doubly flattered.

Aemond x tall, strong, athletic, and snarky Baratheon girl. She’s famous for skills in archery and wrestling. Aemond sees her as a challenge like Vhagar and challenges her to a wrestling match
Tumblr media
The Young Stag
They called her “The Young Stag”, because not only was she her father's daughter, but also for her strength and skill in combat. A well-trained archer, Lady Sienna could loose arrows on horseback, from trees and on her feet. With her famous sword, Stormbringer, Lady Sienna moved in quick, fluid motions around her enemies, dodging and countering their attacks. But, the thing she did best was wrestling. A leggy girl with strong arms, Sienna was known for grappling, rolling and pinning squires and stableboys to the ground. She certainly hurt the pride of any lordling who'd visited the Baratheon stronghold, Storm's End.
One of the so-called 'Five Storms', the oldest of Lord Borros's daughters showed no interest in marriage.
"I prefer to fight these men, rather than be chained to one forever."
When her lady mother and lord father expressed that as the eldest, she'd marry first, she protested hotly. Most of the men who visited Storm's End were "green boys and greying men who couldn't find their backside with two hands". Lord Borros matched his daughter's heat with his own, telling her it was her duty to their house to find a husband suitable for marriage. Lady Elenda, her mother, gently suggested she pick a man closer to home. Yet, it'd been her youngest sister, Maris, who made her seen reason. She'd cornered her sister in the castle training yard, watching her whittle new arrows, and spoke with her at length. Just because she'd be getting married did not mean she must give up all she loves. Perhaps she'd find a man who liked rowdy women who could outride, out shoot, and wrestle them. Sienna doubted this highly, but due to her love for her family, she agreed to consider her suitors.
Lord Dondarrion's son, Auster, complimented the lady's soft black curls and said her eyes resembled blue sapphires. Sienna only rolled her eyes, and said he resembled a horse.
Lord Gower's son foolishly proclaimed her reputation was all talk. Noble ladies had no place in a training yard or on horseback in the forest. Sienna swung her fist into his jaw.
Lords came far and wide to try marrying a Baratheon girl in hopes of making an alliance with them. One night, Lord Borros, deep in his cups, exclaimed that Sienna would marry the next man who visited their keep. She scoffed. She told her father she'd marry a man on one condition: he could beat her in wrestling. The drunken lord laughed, and said she'd have her terms. Plenty of houses lived in The Stormlands; all had strong, capable sons. Eventually, one of them would get the best of her.
Then, the Dance happened. Targaryen turned against Targaryen, and Lord Borros figured it was only a matter of time before one of the parties came asking for his support. On a over casted day, it'd been Prince Aemond, son of old king Viseryes, who arrived at their gates. White silver hair flowing down his back, his left eye covered by a leather eyepatch, the young prince stood tall and lean. Lord Borros welcomed the prince into his hall, introducing him to his lady wife, and five daughters. Sienna had heard of Aemond's dangerously deadly skills, and his cold, unfeeling demeanor, but was not impressed in the slightest. Her sisters, of course, were very interested in him. Not because of his looks. No, Prince Aemond's missing eye and the horrendous scar on his face sickened many ladies at court. Lady Sienna only showed interest in the eye, wanting to see the sapphire he put in place of his real eye.
After a lengthy discussion during a feast, Lord Borros said he would give Aegon his support if Aemond married one of his daughters. Cassandra would be the first to flower, but Floris was the prettiest. Maris, not as comely as her sisters, was put forward after the prince rejected her; Ellyn, third oldest, showed off her dancing and singing abilities, hoping to enchant Prince Aemond. The possibility of being a princess, or potentially a queen one day, intrigued the Baratheon daughters. Yet, Aemond had no interest in any of them. During a hunting party one day, Aemond was surprised when Lord Borros's eldest daughter came riding up to them with a bow and sling of arrows. Lord Borros told the prince he did not approve of his daughters participating in manly sports, but his eldest could not be tamed. Rather than be appalled by the lady's ability to shoot down a wild turkey, it intrigued him. Watching her walk her horse, a mustang named Greenleaf, into the stables, he asked Lord Borros if anyone had taken Sienna’s hand.
“Sienna? Ha, Your Grace, my daughter has bested every man who has come asking for her hand. I have tried giving her to every lord I can muster, but no man wishes for a woman who can crack his pride.”
Aemond pondered over this. So, the Young Stag needed taming? That excited him.
“You’re quite good with that bow, my lady.” He’d caught her in the shooting range, wearing breeches and a jerking over a white shirt. He’d heard she never wore gowns during her activities. His eyes scanned over her strong body, wondering what it’d take to have her. “I was impressed how quickly you took down that bird.”
“Thank you, Your Grace,” she said, aiming her next arrow at the target and letting it fly at the center. “I’ve had a lot of practice.”
“As your father has told me.”
Sienna stopped shooting and turned to him. The realization came to her immediately, “He’s offered me to you.”
“No,” he leaned against the fence around the range, “I asked him.”
“As if,” she scoffed. “Men like you don’t want women like me. You’ll do better with Floris. She’s pretty. She’ll give you good looking children.”
“Who are you to assume what I want or don’t want?” he asked. “What if I want strong, atheltic children who bring honor to my house?”
“You don’t need honor, Your Grace. Your family has dragons. I think that shows enough strength already.” She walked to the target and began pulling out the arrows on the target cloth. “I saw your beast when you flew here. Vhagar is truly as enormous as they say.”
“She is a formidable creature, yes.” He moved into the range, coming closer to her. His one eye looked her over. “It wasn’t easy to tame her, but I mounted her in the end.”
Sienna smirked, and laughed softly. “Am I a creature you wish to tame and mount?”
Oh, he’d certainly love to mount her. “I like a challenge,” he shrugged.
“Challenge, huh?” she said, putting her arrows in the slot next to her. She observed him quickly. Broad shoulders slimmed down into a tiny waist. She imagined once a woman got over his eye, they found the rest of him quite tempting. Sienna only saw a man she’d like to wrestle to the ground. “Do you wrestle, Your Grace?”
“I do.”
“Do you wish to marry me over my sweet, soft sisters?”
“I’ve considered it.”
“Well, if you wish to take me as your wife, you must pass on challenge.”
“Oh?”
“Beat me in a fight.”
Aemond snickered, turning his head to hide it, “In a fight?”
“Yes. Best me in a wrestling match, and I’ll marry you.”
He crossed his arms, “What if I win and you still reject me?”
“I never go back on my word, Your Grace. My man, Tom, will oversee the match and be a fair judge,” she nodded to the portly man with a large arms, belly and mustache. “Wrestle me, and I’ll be yours.”
He paused. What sort of woman gave such terms for marriage? None that he knew, and it interested him. He stuck out his hand, “Agreed.”
She shook his hand, her slender fingers clasping his own tightly, “Agreed.”
Tom nodded silently, and led the pair to a boxed off area on the other side of the grounds. Two squires currently sparred in the middle to the cheers of the people around them. Sienna strutted to the ring, and stood at the fence to watch the match. She was Vhagar, Aemond thought to himself. A beautiful, ferocious beast that could not be tamed. He didn’t know if he wanted to tame her. He somewhat liked the idea of going on hunting parties with his wife; sparring in the courtyard and riding on horseback with her. The women in King’s Landing didn’t act as Sienna did. Baratheon women were clearly a different breed.
The squires finished their match, dirt and mud smeared on their clothes and bodies. When they left the ring, both Aemond and Sienna stepped in. Tom followed them, calling to the group at large.
“We have another challenger this morning, lads!” he called. “On one side, we have Aemond of House Targaryen, Prince of the Seven Kingdoms.” This garnered some cheers from his followers. “On the other, the Young Stag herself, Sienna of House Baratheon!” More cheers and jeers followed. “I want a good clean fight,” he told the pair, as they readied themselves for the match. When both sides were ready to go, bent over with hands out, “And...fight!”
Both parties slammed into each other immediately. Sienna put all her strength into pushing the prince off her, so she may grapple him in the middle. But, he proved stronger than he looked. The people around them shouted advice and encouragement as they both fell onto the ground. Sienna straddled the man’s middle at one point, only to be kneed in the back and rolled onto her back. The dirt and mud on the ground did not bother her in the least. Prince Aemond and Lady Sienna both grappled, pushed, and rolled around on the ground like two beasts...two dragons. Soon, they gained the attention of Lord Borros, who stood by the gate with an amused smile. He watched the young man lift his daughter from the ground and slam her down into the ground before she wrapped her legs around him, and put her thighs around his upper body like a serpent. She almost had him.
Almost.
A few minutes more, and Tom declared Prince Aemond the winner. Lady Sienna sat in the mud, panting and sore from their match, eyes narrowed up at the blond man. His clothes stained with dirt, he stood over her triumphant and sneering.
“Looks like we have a betrothal!” called Lord Borros, his men cheering with him.
“My lady,” Aemond offered his hand and lifted her from the ground. “You fought well,” he grinned, living on the high adrenaline still pumping in him.
“As did you, Your Grace.”
Lord Borros celebrated his daughter’s betrothal (or defeat, in Sienna’s eyes) with a grand feast. Sienna dressed in a gown of pale blue with sapphire jewels on her ears and around her neck. She sat sulking, drinking from her wine cup and picking at her food. Her sisters chattered around her, envious that she’d get to live in King’s Landing and getting to be a princess by marriage. Sienna did not respond. She merely moped and casted glances over at the prince, who haggled doweries and dates. She thought about how the prince easily manhandled her on the ground, his body as lithe and flexible as hers. She’d never met a man like him. He was not soft or slow. He appeared intelligent enough. As Ellyn told her, he was a dragonrider, which could not be easy.
“You look beautiful tonight, my lady.”
He came over to her after speaking with her father, taking the empty seat beside her.
“Thank you, Your Grace.”
“Your father wishes for us to be married as quick as possible.”
“Because he’s afraid I’ll run away.”
“Would you?”
“No. I told you, Your Grace, I do not back down from my word. You beat me fair and square.” She gazed over his face and landed on his eyepatch. “Can I see it?”
“See what?”
“Your eye. Your men say you put a real sapphire in there. It’s why my mother told me to wear this,” she showed him the teardrop jewel around her neck. Aemond couldn’t help noticing it rested an inch from her bosom. “Can I see?”
He stiffened. “It’s not pleasant.”
“I don’t care.” She saw his apprehension, then said, “We can go somewhere private.”
The suggestion gave him pause. “Alone?”
“If you wish,” she said. “I’m going to be your wife. I think I should be allowed to see it...and anything else you wish me to see.”
He thought about it. “It’s not appropriate,” he proclaimed, simply happy to deny the woman something, “Perhaps once we’re married.”
“Afraid it might scare me off?” she pursed her lips in objection.
“No,” he shook his head, taking up his wine cup for a drink, “I like seeing you not get what you want.” He saw the dancers on the floor in front of the dais. “Do you dance?”
“I do.”
“I’m terrible at it.”
“Something I can beat you at?”
He laughed, “Will everything in our marriage be a contest? Will you challenge me to an archery contest on our wedding day? I can bed you if I can outshoot you?”
“Don’t give me any ideas,” she giggled. ‘Come,” she stood up from her seat, “I’ll show you.”
He took her hand and followed her. Lord and Lady Baratheon watched their eldest girl, their first born daughter, walk onto the dance floor with her prince, and begin dancing. Her sisters looked on with slight envy that the boldest, tomboyish of their lot managed to marry a prince.
The Young Stag hadn’t been tamed, but rather bonded to the dragon rider.

A/N: thank you so much for your request! I’m honestly trying to get through all the ones I have right now, and I really liked this one. I hoped you liked this one <3

AN: I decided to skip the opening cutscene along with how the traveler gains the Anemo element and meets Venti and Dvalin and a heads up, I won't be active mainly because of my private life and I have to focus on that so I won't be active and write a lot also, thank you for those of you who, who decided to read this
Tumblr media
Paimon: Were almost there!!! Paimon can't wait to try all the delicious food~ Oh!! And also help you find your sister Aether!!!
Aether: I really hope I can meet the Anemo Archon and get information about my sister...
???: *yells from above* WATCH OUT!!!
Aether: !!! *moves away quickly*
Paimon: Wahh!!! *hides behind Aether*
???: *stops gliding and jumps on a bubble to land* Phew!!! *wipes the dirt off her skirt* Sorry about that, glad I warned you both otherwise you both would've gotten hurt, anyways, introductions, My name is Y/n, resident of Mondstat!!! And you guys are?
Paimon: Paimon's name is Paimon, and this is Aether *points at a blushing Aether*
Y/n: Alright, and is Aether alright? Does he have a fever? *gets close to his to put her hand on his forehead* his head is really warm...
Aether: I-Im alright!!! Thank you for your concern!!! *quickly pulls away*
Paimon: *has a smug look* Also, you said that you're a resident of Mondstat, right? Could you lead us to Mondstat City? Paimon's directions are a blur since Paimon is getting tired after all these directions
Y/n: Sure!!! Follow me!!! *starts walking*
Paimon: What!?! Did she just trust us that quickly even if we just met!?! *stomps her foot*
Aether: *follows her*
Paimon: Wait for Paimon!!!

Y/n: We're almost there, so hang-
???: Hey you! Stop right there!
Just then a girl with long dark brown hair, orange-gold eyes, and fair skin with her most distinguishing feature being a headband with a large red bow that rests on her head, resembling the shape of bunny ears jumped from a medium sized ledge and landed in front of them
???: *has a hand on her chest in a soldier like way* May the Anemo God you, stranger! I am Amber, Outrider for the Knights of Favonius, You don't look like citizens of Mondstat. Explain yourselves!
Y/n: Hey Amber!
Amber: Y/n!?! What are you doing here!? I thought Jean said that you were gonna stay at headquarters!?! And why are you with strangers!?!
Y/n: *sweat drops* I decided to go for a walk, and I bumped into these two
Paimon: Walk? But you just-- *gets a pebble thrown her face*
Y/n: shh!!! *looks at her with her pointer finger on her lips*
Paimon: *waves her hand in front of her* Uh, we're not looking for trouble! And Y/n was just showing us the way to the city!
Amber: That's what all the troublemakers say! Especially boys that take advantage of Y/n's innocence and naiveness! *points at Aether while holding Y/n close*
Aether: Um, Hello, I'm Aether *sweat drops*
Amber: That doesn't sound like a local name to me... And this mascot, what's the deal with it?
Aether: Emergency food. *proud*
Paimon: Hey! That's even worse than being called a mascot!
Y/n: So, to sum it all up, you're traveling partners...
Amber: Well look, there's been a large dragon spotted around Mondstat recently. Best you get inside the city as soon as possible, I'll escort you there
Y/n: Oh, but aren't you here for some other reason?
Amber: I am, but not to worry I can keep you all safe while doing that too. Besides, I'm still not sure I can trust you being alone with those two just yet.
Aether: That's a rather rude way to speak with guests...
Amber: Oh, ahh...I'm sorry. Probably something that I shouldn't say as a knight. I give you my apologies, Uh strange but yet respectable travelers.
Paimon: That sounded so fake!
Amber: Do you have something against the type of language usage prescribed by the Knights of Favonius Handbook!?

The four were walking twords the city until Y/n realized something
Y/n: Oh right! I forgot to ask you both on the reason for why you're traveling!!!
Paimon: Aether got separated from his sister during a really long journey, Paimon is his travel buddy helping him find his sister
Amber: Oh...looking for your family? Uh... okay let me finish my stuff and then I can help you set up posters inside the city
Y/n: I'll help too! I'll even put a poster on my head if I have to!
All three: *sweat drops*
Paimon: Uh, anyways, what is it that your doing exactly first, Amber?
Amber: Its simple! You'll understand in a bit, even Y/n knows what it is

They continued walking until Paimon notices a weird creature
Paimon: Look! A hilichurl!
Amber: Quick! Get it!
Aether managed to finish off the Hilichurl before it could get away
Amber: These monsters have been getting too close to the city recently, My task this time is clear out their camp
Y/n: I see it over there! *points to where the camp is at*
Aether and Amber started to fight the hilichurls and while Aether and Amber finished up fighting their own hilichurls a hilichurl was running twords Y/n and since an explosion barel was near the hilichurl Y/n came up with a "fun" idea
Aether: Y/n!!! look out!!! *running twords her*
Y/n:
Tumblr media
(Pretend that's you instead of Nahida, and the attack is blue instead of green, and the barel blew up with the hilichurl)
After Y/n did that, the explosion barel exploded, ending the hilichurl and setting the area that the hilichurl was on fire
Y/n: That was fun! *clapping her hands and noticed the small fire she started* I should put that out before it spreads...
Amber: *looks at a shocked Aether and Paimon* Don't mind her saying that she just likes ending hilichurls since it's another way of releasing her anger other than being inside a bubble that she makes
Y/n: *pops up next to Paimon* Boo!!!
Paimon: Ah! When did you get there!?!
Amber: *ignores them as Y/n starts poking Paimon's cheek* Anyways, Thanks for the backup. How'd it feel?
Aether: Barely broke a sweat
Paimon: *floats higher so Y/n can't reach her* Now that Paimon thinks about it, how did the hilichurls end up here? These creatures don't seem like they would set up camps around cities
Amber: Exactly! It's more normal for them to be further out in the wilderness, but because the dragon, Storm Terror has been around recently our orchards have been destroyed and the market has been affected aswell
Y/n: When the storms hit we usually end up with a few injuries so the Knights of Favonius have been tied up doing the best they could by defending the area, and I've been helping out the best I could by helping repair some destroyed areas in the city and by healing injuries to the best of my ability and knowledge of medicine
Paimon: *has her hands on her hips* So these annoying creatures have been getting closer and closer to the city?
Amber: Exactly, that said, clearing the camp helped clearing this area. Come with me! A responsible knight must make sure to see you to the city safely.

Finally, after some more walking, they all made it to the city of Mondstat, and the place looked so lively
Amber: Let me fully introduce you to the city of wind, dandelion, and freedom!
Y/n: Travelers under the protection of the Knights of Favonius -- Welcome to the Mondstat!

Outrider by Richard Harding
Outrider by Richard Harding 1984, Pinnacle
Tumblr media
A century or so after the nuclear apocalypse, survivors gradually made their way out of hiding, connected by scouts called Outriders. One such Outrider is our hero Bonner, who survives an assassination attempt by his former buddy turned despot Leather, and learns that his girl is being held captive.
Bonner makes his way to Chicago to New York to DC, seemingly recognizing everyone he meets and joins forces. He ends up with the pyromaniac, Cooker, two mute barbarian types call the Mean Brothers, biker gang the Sisters, among others.
Very juvenile in tone, except for the cussing and violence. Some creative characters, but the action scenes often felt rushed, with a multi-state chase finale crammed into what felt like the last handful of pages. Probably the closest in feel to the Mad Max movies I've come across. Even had Radleps, radiation poisoned suicide troops, which prefigure Fury Road.
The author mainly worked in novelizations, including four Beethoven (the dog) tie-in novels.

Liquid Courage
Kaeya:The festival is really hitting its stride.
Lisa:I’ll say. The nights still young but the bottles are piling.
Amber:Hopefully nobody gets too drunk.
Eula:Asking for the impossible.
Amber:I wonder if Aether is still around or-
Crowd:Woooooo!
The knights turn their head to see a sight never before seen. Their blonde honorary knight had his hair down, hips swaying, and cheeks flushed as he danced with wine bottle in hand. Though appearing drunk, his movements were noticeably deliberate with his dance and in control.
Lisa:Well somebody picked up a few moves in Sumeru.
Kaeya:Hehe, now I know it’s a good party if the traveler is getting tipsy.
Aether danced with anyone who wanted to. Convincing Albedo to shuffle around a bit, twirling a sister around, hip swaying with Venti, all before noticing the group of knights smiling at him. Unashamed, he danced his over, handed Eula his botttle, then whisked Amber away.
Eula:Hey!
Aether:Thank you!
Kaeya:Hahaha!
Lisa:Let him have his fun.
Eula:I will remember this!!
Amber:Hey you~
Aether:Hello my outrider. Shall we?
Amber:If you can keep up.
He put his left arm around her waist and took her hand as they began waltzing towards the middle of the dancing area.
Amber:Getting better! We need to teach you Tango some time.
Aether:I look forward to it.
Jean:*walks by* Hi everyone. How are things? *looks* Oh never mind. Wow.
Eula:Both of their forms need work.
Kaeya:*holds out hand* Show em.
Eula:….If you insist. *grabs hand*
Lisa:And now I drink alone. Unless…
Jean:One drink I suppose.
Lisa:Oooo lucky me. Did you come back over her for curiosity?
Jean:I love seeing everyone happy. Barbara told me she might try stopping by but I haven’t seen her.
Lisa smirks as she points a little ways off from Aether’s dancing crowd. Jean squints before going wide eyed, spotting her sister dancing with Venti. Both of their hair are undone, their face filled with laughter. Venti twirls her before pulling her close and swaying.
Venti:I always knew you could dance.
Barbara:Oh hush. You’re not getting this out of me often.
Venti:Then like wine, I’ll savor every bit of this experience tonight.
Barbara:*red* You’re ridiculous. May Barbatos help you.
Venti:Ehe, I have a feeling I’ll be alright.
Jean:I….feel conflicted.
Lisa:They’ve only danced, but Barbara seems very fond of him. Or he’s drank enough to get her tipsy by breathing. Now that would be impressive. So, you gonna dance tonight?
Jean:Oh there’s no way I could possibly-
Lisa: C’mon~ feel the festivities. *slow pulling her*
Jean:Lisa!
Lisa:Hehehe. Let’s show everyone your playful side for awhile.
Jean:….Half an hour.
Two hours later
Rosaria is watching a group of civilians and knights alike, dancing without a care in the world and celebrating.
Rosaria:(Oh I’m going to be bringing this up for a long time.)

Genshin Impact Anya Like MC With Mondstad Characters Part 1
Paimon doesn’t exist here!
Loid didn’t adopt Anya Like MC here!
Tumblr media
You had no idea how you ended up in Teyvat.
Luckily a certain outrider found you all alone in the wild before any hilichurls did.
“Are you alone here little one? Where are your parents?”
“MC doesn’t have any parents.”
“Oh… I see. Well it’s dangerous for you to stay out in the wild. How about we go to Mondstad together?”
“Mondstad? Where is that?”
“Mondstad is a city of freedom. It is also where I live. My name is Amber. I am the Outrider of Knights Of Favonious. And you are?”
(Knights of Favnius?! So this big sister is a knight?! Waku waku!)“My name is MC.”
“Nice to meet you MC.”
And that’s how you met with your first big sister figure and your gliding teacher Amber.
Amber took you to Knights of Favonious Headquarters and told Jean about you.
Jean decided that your appearance should be discussed with everyone so she called Lisa and Kaeya for an emergency meeting.
After a few minutes a lady dressed in purple entered Jean’s room.
She greeted Jean and looked at you with her emerald colored eyes.
“Well who do we have here? I wasn’t expecting such a cute guest. Hey there little one. May I ask your name?”
“My name is MC.”
“Nice to meet you MC. My name is Lisa.”
“Are you a knight too big sister Lisa?”
“That’s right MC. I am part of the Knights of Favonious too.”
“Lisa. Do you know where Kaeya is? He is late again.”
“No Jean. I don’t know where he might be.”
Then suddenly a man with an eyepatch opened the door.
“Oh. I see that everyone have gathered already.”
“You are late Kaeya.”
“Sorry about that Jean. I had a little business I had to take care of.”
(This big brother is lying… He was slacking off from his work at Angel’s Share. Where is that anyway…?)
“Oh? Well this was a surprise. I didn’t know that we had a guest. A very little one I see.”
“Now that everyone is here we can start the meeting about our sudden guest MC.”
After a long discussion Knights of Favonious decided you to stay in Mondstad permanently.
“MC. You don’t have a home in this world right?”
“Yes. MC doesn’t know anything about this world.”
“And you don’t know how you ended up in this world either. Correct?”
“Yup.”
“You also said that back in your world the orphanage didn’t treat you and other children well.”
“Yes.”
“MC…. As Knights of Favonious we have an offer for you. MC. How about living here in Mondstad with us?”
“Living here?! Really? Can MC do that?”
“Of course you can.”
“I want to live here and become a knight like big sisters and brothers!”
“My my… This kid is dreaming big.”
“It’s decided then. Amber. How about giving MC a city tour while we find a room for her.”
“Sure. Let’s go MC!”
“Yay!”
You two left the room with a huge smile on your faces.
“So Jean… Where will MC stay exactly?”
“I have a place in mind.”
“Let me guess. Dawn Winery?”
“That’s right. All I need to do is to convince Diluc.”
“Hoho… Good luck about that.”
After Amber gave you a quick city tour Jean took you to Dawn Winery.
Diluc was indeed surprised at Jean’s sudden visit with a child he never saw in his life.
“Diluc. This is MC. MC this is Master Diluc. He is the owner of this winery.”
“Wow! This place is huge!”
“Jean. What is the matter with this child?”
“Well…”
Jean told Diluc how Amber found you and what kind of decision Knights of Favonious made.
“So you want this child to stay here, in my winery?”
“Yes. This is the most suitable place I can think of. You have an empty room right? And also MC would have a guardian taking care of her. Can I trust you with this Diluc?”
“…”
“Please. She is an orphan and she has no idea about this world. I am sorry if I sound like I am forcing you but… You are the only person I can trust.”
“….Okay then. I will take care of her.”
“Really? Thank you Diluc. I owe you a favor.”
“You owe me nothing. MC can stay in one of the empty rooms in winery.”
And that’s how Dawn Winery became your new home.
Diluc let’s you to visit the city of course. Whenever he goes there you come with him.
Venti
You see him every time you visit Angel’s Share with Diluc.
“Oh hi Master Diluc! Who is that little girl? Your daughter?”
“No. She is a child I am taking care of. We have no blood bound.”
“Oh come on now! Blood bound is not necessary to be a family!”
“When are you going to pay your tabs?”
“Soon! I promise! May I ask little lady’s name?”
“My name is MC.”
“Nice to meet you MC. Would you like to hear a song?”
“A song? Yes please!”
“Very well. Then here I go.”
You were enchanted by the way he sings and plays his lyre.
When Venti finished his song you were looking at him with sparkling eyes.
“So? What does little lady think?”
“It was beautiful! Big brother’s voice was so lovely!”
“Ehe! Thanks for the compliment!”
(Now that MC thinks about it… this big brother… MC feels like she saw him before….Where…? Wait! The big statue…! Could it be?!)
(I have to pay my tabs somehow…. Now how will I do that? Oh Lord Barbatos hear my-…Wait a minute…What am I even talking about? I am the Lord Barbatos!)
(What?! That bard is a god?!)
You never saw Venti the same after learning that.
(A god disguised as a bard?! Waku waku!)
“Big brother Venti can you teach MC how to play lyre?”
“You want me to teach you? Wise choice little one! I am the best bard in Mondstad after all!”
“I..have no objections to that.”
“Thank you Mister Diluc!”
Venti agreed to teach you how to play lyre and sing.
“Say MC… Where are your parents? Are they on a trip?”
“…MC doesn’t have a family…”
“Oh…”
“Big sister Amber found MC out in the wild and brought MC to Mondstad. Then MC started to stay at Dawn Winery.”
“I see… Where are you from MC? We’re you always living out in the wild?”
“MC is not from this world. How MC got here? MC has no idea.”
“Hm… How curious… We don’t see an outlander very often. So… What do you think about this world? Did you like it?”
“This world is… weird but also very cool! MC wants to have a cool vision too! Big brother you have an anemo vision right?”
“That’s right! I see so you already learned the names of the visions.”
“Yup! Mister Diluc teached it to me!”
“What else did you learn from Mister Diluc?”
“He said that slimes are very dangerous! Hilichurls too. And weird looking mages… Abyss Mages! And people with weird masks and uniforms. Mister Diluc said that they are from very evil organization! MC actually saw one in a church but… he was just standing there…he wasn’t doing anything.”
“You go there often?”
“I go there to see big sister Barbara! She teaches me about Lord Bartobas!”
“Lord Bartobas huh? Interesting.”
“And big sister Amber teaches me how to glide! Once MC masters at gliding she can have her very own wind glider! That’s what big sister Amber said!”
“That’s nice! It’s good to see that you have a good time in here.”
“Yup! Everyone is so nice to MC! And MC loves everyone here! MC wants to live here forever!”
You love to have a chat with Venti. He always answers to your sometimes weird questions.
You also love the tales Venti sings about.
Barbara
You first saw Barbara when Amber gave you a city tour.
Amber wanted you to see Church of Favonious since it was an important building in Mondstad!
“Whoa! Big sister Amber! Look at that giant statue!”
“It’s a big one right? This is the statue of Lord Barbatos, the god everyone worships in Mondstad.”
“Lord…Bartobas?”
“No. It is Lord Barbatos.”
“Lord Barbitos!”
“Hey Amber! Good to see you!”
You turned around to see a blonde haired girl with a church outfit coming into your direction.
“Hey Barbara! How are you nowadays?”
“Oh I am fine! Who is this girl? Is she new to the city?”
“We can say that. MC meet with Barbara! She is the deaconess of Church of Favonious!”
“Nice to meet you big sister Barbara!”
“In the name of Lord Barbatos you are so cute! Did your parents move here? Where do they live?”
“Um.. Actually Barbara. MC is an orphan.”
“An orphan? Oh I see…”
“Master Jean decided her to stay at Mondstad. I am giving her a quick city tour when they are looking a room for her.”
“So that’s the case. I guess we will see each other very often then! If you have any questions about Lord Barbatos you can always ask me or other sisters! You can also come here if you have any injuries! I can patch you up in no time!”
“She is right! Barbara has the power to heal injuries. So you can come see her whenever you got hurt. Okay?”
“Okay!”
Yes you know that Barbara is Jean’s little sister.
You love watching Barbara’s dancing and singing performance.
Whenever you come to the church you see a certain men standing next to the church.
One time you decided to ask him what he was doing there.
“Mind your own business kid. I am here for Barbara-sama!”
“Barbara-sama?”
“You don’t even know her? You are hopeless. How can you not know? Didn’t you watched her performances? Barbara-sama is always the cutest and greatest! How can you not know her?!”
(What a weird big brother…MC better stay away from him…)
One time you got injured when you were in gliding lessons with Amber.
She took you to Church of Favonious for healing.
“Oh my! What happened?”
“She fell down while we were in gliding lesson and sprained her ankle. It was a light fall luckily…We weren’t gliding in high places.”
“I see… Don’t worry MC! I can heal you in no time!”
Barbara put her hand in your ankle. Blue musical notes started to surround your ankle. They then disappeared a few seconds later. You weren’t feeling pain anymore.
“How are you feeling? Does it still hurt?”
“Nope! MC’s ankle feel much better! Big sister Barbara’s powers are amazing..!”
“Hehe! I am glad that I could help!”
When you learned that Venti was Lord Barbatos you didn’t tell this to Barbara. You actually didn’t tell this to anyone.
But sometimes you can’t help but think what would happen if Barbara knew that the god she worshipped was actually none other then a drunk bard…
Diluc
Yes you know that he was the “Dark Night Hero”.
Of course you know you can read minds of people.
You think that Diluc is very cool.
(Mister Diluc is so cool! He is a hero no a secret hero defending Mondstad from monsters! Waku waku!)
When you learned that he and Kaeya were brothers you were pretty much surprised.
(Brothers?! Mister Diluc and Mister Kaeya are brothers?! Wait… Mister Kaeya is looking for Dark Night Hero…. Mister Diluc is the Dark Night Hero…! Mister Diluc doesn’t want Mister Kaeya to find his secret! …..Don’t worry Mister Diluc! MC will do her best to keep your secret away from Mister Kaeya!)
Whenever Diluc had to become Dark Night Hero but couldn’t because Kaeya were watching him you were there to save the day.
(I have to go and fight but… he is watching my every move so I can’t leave.)
(Mister Diluc is in trouble! MC to the rescue!) “Venti!”
“Huh? What is it MC?”
“…Can I borrow your lyre? I want to sing everyone the song that you teached me!”
“Of course you can! Do you remember the lyrics and notes?”
“Yup.”
“Shall we make a duet together then. You can play the song and sing. I will sing some of the parts of the song. How doesn’t that sounds?”
“Awesome!”
“Alright then. Ahem! May I have everyone’s attention?”
Everyone in the tavern turned their head to look at Venti. There was now a silence in the tavern.
“Thank you. Today me and our new little bard MC will have a duet! This song will be about a legend of a dragon!”
The show started when you started to play the lyre.
Thanks to the Venti’s hypnotizing voice and your cuteness nobody noticed that Diluc was gone even Kaeya.
By the time you two finished the song Diluc was already done with fighting the monsters and took his place behind the bar in tavern.
“Thank you everyone! Let’s celebrate little bard MC’s debut today! All drinks are on me!”
(But isn’t his tab already too much…? Sometimes Mc can’t understand certain things in this world…. If he is the god of this city… Why is he broke?!)
Yes you knew that yo just had a duet with the anemo archon thanks to your ability to read minds.
(This bard… Although thanks to him and MC I was able to finish the job.)
(I am glad that I was able to help Mister Diluc!)
(I was so distracted with today’s show that I completely forgot to watch Diluc. Whatever he won’t get away next time.)
(But Mister Kaeya doesn’t give up easily… MC better finds different plans on how to keep Mister Kaeya distracted!)
In the winery you do your best to help Adelinde with chores but… Let’s just say that you are not good at doing chores and messing things up. So you spend most of your time drawing pictures in your room.
“Mister Diluc is the Dark Night Hero. Kapow! One blow and all the monsters are dead! And MC is his secret sidekick protecting his secret at all cost!…MC doesn’t have a vision. But when she gets one she will help Mister Diluc with fighting too!”
You imagined yourself as a vision wielder and draw yourself and Diluc fighting with monsters together.
Klee
Prepare for trouble and make it double!
You two are besties. That is a fact!
Jean introduced you to Klee. She thought that it would be nice if you play with her.
Since then you two are adventuring buddies.
“Hey MC! Wanna go to fish blasting together?”
“Yes!”
“No. Klee..MC… You know the consequences.”
“Ok…Sorry Master Jean.”
“Yeah… MC is sorry too.”
“You can go out and play. But remember Klee… No bombs.”
“Got it.”
Usually Kaeya is the one who take cares of you two when you two go on an adventure.
“Hey MC! Kaeya told me about the monsters that appears in night at Mondstad pretending to be Knights of Favonious!”
“Monsters?”(Well I am sure that Mister Diluc can kill them in one blow!)
“Yup! We neeed to defend Mondstad from monsters! Don’t tell this anyone okay? Kaeya told only me about this! It is a secret!”
(…That is suspicious to be honest…)”Okay. I won’t tell anyone.”
And you were right…Kaeya was indeed lying to trick Klee.
Did you end up in confinement room with Klee? Yeah… But it was for once only.
“We need to think about our actions. That’s why we are here.”
“Okay…”
“Would you like to draw a picture with me?”
“Yup! MC loves drawing!”
“Here! I have bunch of crayons and blank papers!”
Klee drew a picture of herself you and Dodoco going on an adventure together.
You drew a picture of yourself and Diluc standing in front of Dawn Winery together.
“Is that Mister Diluc you are drawing MC?”
“Yup! This is MC and this is Mister Diluc! And we are standing in front of MC’s new home Dawn Winery!”
“That is so cool! Look what am I drawing! This is me, this is Dodoco and this is you! And we are going on an adventure!”
“Woah! You draw so good Klee!”
“Hehe! You too!”

About the author!
Hi! I'm the guy writing those pretty words for all of you!
I'm Shepard, or Kaz on here I suppose. Why the difference? Uh... I don't know. Blog name I guess. Kaz is a nickname a dear friend gave me. Short for Kazzymandias. Or, if you aren't sure, just call me McAllister!
At time of writng, I'm 18 years old. I'm a freshman at Xavier University, studying film! I like writing, as you can tell... and when I grow up, I'm gonna work at Bungie!
I like media in general but a highlight of the hits (my favorites) TV Shows: Pysch, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Frazier, King of the Hill, and a lot of old Nickelodeon stuff... Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen, Blue Exorcist, Fullmetal Alchemist, Trigun... Movies: Hot Fuzz, Baby Driver, Mission: Impossible, Man From U.N.C.LE., A lot of action movies I can't remember... Music: Coco and the Butterfields, My Chemical Romance, Powerwolf, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Twisted Sister, Sabaton, Hozier, Johnny Cage, Insane Clown Posse, Tally Hall, Eazy-E, Eminem... Games: Destiny, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Assassin's Creed, Persona 5, Tomb Raider...
Now here's some rapid fire funfacts.
My favorite president is Ulysses S. Grant cause I did a project on him in second grade! My designated technology color is white! My favorite color is green, pink is a close second! My favorite sport is football! I love the Cowboys, I'm from Dallas, sue me. And I'm a big Bengals fan! I fence! Not well, but still! I was a Girl Scout! My favorite subject is history! I'm actually not a very good English student!
Tumblr media
I wish I was a little bit taller. I wish I was a baller. I wish had a girl who looked good, I would call her.
Tumblr media
Questions I get asked about my work.
Q: Do you take requests? A: I do! On my ko-fi for speedier answers and here on tumblr to be answered when I have time!
Q: Who's your Guardian? A: Faolan! She's the Young Wolf I default to in most fics.
Q: How do you write so well? A: It's partially natural talent, I've been writing since, and I am not joking here, I was three years old and first learned to speak. But mostly it's just a lot of reading and watching to find out things I like and then using those skills. And it's also a lot of practice! I write all the time, on my notes app, in my friend's DMs, on tumblr, whenever, wherever. Persistence is the key to any skill!
Q: Do you write for other fandoms? A: Not at the moment! But eventually.
Tumblr media
When they lay me down to die, going up to the spirit in the sky!
Tumblr media
Questions I get asked about me as a person.
Q: Do you have a partner in real life? A: No! Believe it or not, I've never even had a crush in real life! I'm not really big on romance. Ironic, I know. Q: Who's your favorite character? A: In all of fiction? Eli Monpress. But my like, number one hehehoo <3 character is Dante Sparda. I like my men very cocky and a little stupid.
Q: Favorite song? A: Five Bells by Coco and the Butterfields!
Q: Favorite trope? A: Friends to lovers is my bread and butter.
Q: Favorite game? A: Destiny. But besides that, I like Ghostwire Toyko!
Q: Favorite book? A: The Twistrose Key by Tone Almhjell!
Q: Favorite genre? A: Action-adventure! Especially the funny ones!
Q: Favorite TV show? A: Pysch! It totally influenced how I write comedy and talk.
Q: Favorite author? A: Can I be boring and say Shakespeare and Tolkien? They're the reason I write like I do.
Q: Favorite musical artist? A: Coco and the Butterfields! But Powerwolf is a close second.
Q: What's your username mean? A: Kaz-Identified was just a whim, there's no real meaning behind it. Houseofmcallister is a joke on my last name and old nobility.
Q: Any advice for writers? A: Practice! It's the only way to improve.
Tumblr media
Give me a shot to remember! And you can take all the pain away from me!
Tumblr media
And that's it! Wow, that's a lot of words!
So now you know me! Yay!

"I can't be racist, I'm black" doesn't actually address the problem that TERFs use racist ideals of femininity to determine who is and isn't a woman. Black Women are specifically targeted by transphobic dogpiling because we don't meet white beauty standards, they don't care if we're real women, they attack anyway, and TRAs are the ones I see defending us by default while TERFs usually have to be told that "no, they're real woman" before they stop attacking us, and only a handful bother apologizing before they move on to harass some other woman who isn't white enough to be a woman. We have to face the truth, even if we are real women, TERFs hate trannies more than they want to protect black women, we can't trust them
What "TERFs" are going around calling black women men? Cause I really don't see this happening. If you're going to come back (I'd prefer it if you didn't) give me specific examples of this happening. Radical feminists are not "racist when determining who is a woman," the only thing that makes one female is the production of the large gamete, your race doesn't matter, any disease, disorder or disability you have doesn't matter, you just have to be female.
Harassment of black women calling them male and masculine does happen, like with racists and misogynists, but I don't see it happening among radical feminists. Y'all will call anyone regardless of whether or not they're a feminist let alone a radical feminist a "TERF," men, women who vehemently hate other women as well as trans people, any random Bible punting patriarchy loving conservative who hates GNC bi and lesbian leftists, as many radical feminists are. Racist women harass black women all the time, but those aren't radical feminists. Radical feminist is anti racist. Ever read Audre Lorde? Barbara and Beverly Smith? Claire Heuchan? Here's Claire's blog for what radical feminists actually believe, since you seem to be confused.
Regardless black women being harassed for not living up to white beauty standards is not fucking transphobia. It's misogynoir. Before TRAs and their white ass gender and "queer theory" starting attempting to colonize everyone's language, black women were calling it that and I'm not about to march to the popular drum that says I should start calling it transphobia just because dysphoric males need me to be "less female than other females" so that they can feel better about themselves.
Nice use of the t-slur, by the way. Almost everyone I've ever followed who's gender critical or a radical feminist is above using that word but apparently you aren't lol

Some short descriptions from Destinypedia:
Lavinia (Garcia Umr Tawil) was a Cryptarch affiliated with The Last City, until her exile for unauthorized attempts to study the Nine. Lavinia continued her studies despite her exile, venturing into the Reef for answers before being arrested for violating Awoken law. Eventually escaping, Lavinia managed to enter the realm of the Nine and learn the truth about them before being captured by Savathûn, the Witch-Queen.
Taox was a Krill who once tutored the Osmium King's three daughters, Xi Ro, Sathona, and Aurash.
The Emperor Raven was a notable ruler of the Taishibethi sun raven species, and lived in the Raven Bridge. She ruled the Tai until she was Taken by Oryx during the Golden Amputation. She apparently has some paracausal abilities as she is mentioned to be able to "tickle" gods with her feathers, cut open a Hive war moon apart with her talons, and was capable of shadowing Taishibeth with her wings when Taken.
Peach is a cynical unpartnered Ghost who lives in The Last City. Peach was invited to speak at the Peregrine Institute of Higher Learning alongside another unpartnered Ghost, Balthazar, about the nature of the Traveler, Light, and themselves.
Marin Mansanas is a Guardian who became known as the Tangled Outrider on the Tangled Shore and wielded the infamous bow Trinity Ghoul. She was partnered with the Ghost Pom.
Satomi is a Guardian Warlock who experimented in thanatonautics in order to understand the Void energy generated by death and used their findings to create the Mask of the Quiet One.
Esila was a Awoken historian and poet. The daughter of Sila, she was amongst the Awoken who chose to leave the Distributary under the leadership of Mara Sov and return to the Sol System to aid Humanity. After the establishment of the Awoken in the Reef, Esila spent much time in the Gardens of Esila before being murdered by the Ahamkara Azirim.
Yevik is a former House of Wolves member that worked for the House of Dusk. He evidently did not leave the Reef when his Wolf-Born cousins fled to the Meridian Bay to serve Orbiks Prime, but only when Mara Sov was finally presumed dead.
Pinar Venj was an Awoken Coven Leader of the Techeun Witches of Amethyst and sister of Petra Venj. She was killed when Drevis, Wolf Baroness and her Silent Fang attacked the station.
Tallulah Fairwind was a Hunter who was appointed by the Speaker as the first Hunter Vanguard. She was eventually murdered by an Ahamkara and replaced as Hunter Vanguard by Caliban-8.

Modern! Cult Member! Aether
This was meant to be a bunch of headcanons about the different members of Zhongli's cult but then I got way too deep into Aether's bit lol. Also, this is written in a (slightly different?) style.
Ft. Modern! Cult! SAGAU (X Reader but only mentions)
TW: Cults, Children being in cults + maybe some more but you're gonna have to tell me what
Published: July 3, 2023
Words: 1,824
Pages: 5.3
He joined the cult five years after it was created, shortly after waking up from a five-year coma. Was semi-brought into the cult by his sister Lumine, but he mainly joined because he discovered that his daughter, Payton, (who is currently ten) had been indoctrinated and renamed to Paimon.
Despite the gratitude he had towards his sister for enlightening him, he didn't like the fact that she A: Changed his daughter's name, B: Pulled her out of school, and C: Moved her into a house in the middle of nowhere. He dislikes it so much that he wants to take his daughter back and cut Lumine off completely, but he's unable to because of all the therapy he needs to go through. Physiotherapy and occupational therapy to be specific. He- despite just being brainwashed into believing a false god exists- somehow managed to pass multiple psychological assessments.
Never gets a response whenever calls his daughter 'Payton', and it pains him so much. Even more so when she, sometimes, gets upset for saying 'the wrong name', because she now thoroughly believes her name is 'Paimon'. And somehow doesn't realize that his daughter has been indoctrinated into a cult. He doesn't even think to complain about it to anybody, because he doesn't want to be a bother :(.
Stays in a shelter in Teyvat City as he gets back up on his feet. Either takes up a job as a bartender at Angel's Share, unknowing that his boss Diluc Ragnvindr is a member of the cult he doesn't know his daughter is in. Or he takes up his old job as a cop, despite the fact that he was put into a coma by one of his superiors. He desperately needs the money, and both are lucrative jobs.
For about two months, his knowledge on the cult remains scarce. He only knows three things about it. A: he sun, planets, and moons were created by a god known only as the Creator, who died. B: There are seven churches that the Enlightened usually live in so they can be free of judgement. And C: Each member of the church wears some piece of jewelry representing one of their dead god's dead children. That's all he learned from Lumine before deciding he'd only talk to her about Payton/Paimon.
Who he's taken up to calling Pay-Pai so he doesn't upset anyone.
He gets talked into at least visiting the church during a Father-Daughter day at the park, when Pay-Pai spotted a fellow cultist church member. Officer Amber Outrider (who is his partner in the police job route). Excitedly, his daughter called the officer over, and the brunette happily obliged. The three (mainly Paimon and Amber; he doesn't like talking much) chat for a while; starting about how their respective days had been so far, before abruptly changing to Their Grace.
"So, Aether, why haven't you visited the church yet?" Amber asks, her expression effortlessly innocent, and yet with her hands on her hips. Geniunely curious but ready to judge him at a moments notice, Aether realized. It would be best for him to be honest, he figured. After all, she was a fellow believer in Their Grace, and someone his daughter obviously trusted and admired. But his daughter, who was practically swinging his hand as she parroted Amber's question, had him hesitating...
"Oh, I, uh, don't have a ride. And I don't want to be a bother to anybody." Aether ultimately said. A half-truth that avoided the main reason why he didn't visit the church: Lumine. Every time they met, Aether felt his anger towards her slowly rising. Mainly because he had no real opportunity to scold her for everything she's done.
"Well, in that case, why don't I give you a ride this Monday? I'd be more than happy to take you there if you'd like." Amber offered, and Aether mentally cursed himself. Why did he have to say something that could be so easily overcome? Now he had no excuse...
A few days later, and he's nervously sitting in the passenger seat of Amber's patrol car. And he silently allows the officer to talk his ears off about the upcoming service and the other members. Who, apparently, have been eagerly awaiting his arrival since Paimon came back raving about it.
The drive to the church is a long one, with twenty minutes spent getting out of Teyvat City, and another forty spent on a highway. He takes a silent, steadying breath as Amber pulls into a dirt parking lot, and carefully scans the church before him. Deciding that it's in good condition, he moves his attention to the cars Amber's parking next to. A pale gold minivan, a regular white van, a blue prius, a black hona, a white dodge challenger, and two other cop cars.
Some other people are climbing out of their vehicles at the same time he's climbing out of Amber's. And he's very surprised to find that one of them is his very own boss. In his shock, he blurts out his boss's name (Mister Ragnvindr/Chief Gunnhildr), who blinks surprisedly at him. If Diluc is his boss, he'd sigh tiredly before reminding him, for the umpteenth time, that he prefers to be called by his name. And if Jean is his boss, she'd give him a small smile before saying he doesn't need to be so formal outside of work. But, no matter who the boss is, they give him a warm welcome to the church.
When he actually enters the building, his darling daughter charges up to him and latches herself onto his leg. And in that moment, all of his nerves vanish. His tense muscles loosen and a smile slowly comes to his face as Pay-Pai drags him to meet her friends and give him a tour of the building. It isn't until the service begins, which is about ten minutes after his arrival, that he realizes he hasn't seen Lumine at all. And it isn't until the prayers are said and the songs are sung that he gets to ask about it.
"Oh, Miss Lumine? She left a few days ago to deliver something to the Church of Liyue, but for some reason, she hasn't returned yet..." The church's Deaconess, Barbara, explained meekly. The words instantly stuck a sense of fear into Aether's heart; the knowledge that his baby was left alone with strangers petrifying to him. And his rage towards Lumine grows hotter and brighter as he realizes his own sister is completely untrustworthy.
He stays silent after that, knowing that, if he were not careful, the rope that is his sanity and patience would finally snap. Thankfully, he's not much of a talker, so his daughter doesn't notice anything wrong as she brings him downstairs for lunch with the other Believers. There, he mostly hangs out with the other adults and listens to them talk over wine and pie. He almost rejects some wine when one of the members, Venti, offers him some. Which is what ultimately leads him to spilling his trouble-filled guts out to the group ten minutes later.
"Well, if you're having such troubles, my friend, then why don't you join the church and move on in? I know that you're having troubles with your sister, but it sounds like a lot of them come from not being able to see your daughter." Venti suggested, placing a comforting hand on Aether's shoulder.
"R-Really? You *hic* guys would let me do that?" Aether drunkenly asked, his voice unsure.
"Of course," Jean spoke, her voice instantly drawing everyone's attention to her. "It would be a shameful, as a Believer of the Creator, to turn you away in such a harrowing time."
Safe to say, Amber didn't give him a ride back to the city that day. He did get a ride back the next day from a fellow Believer named Noelle, but that was mainly to retrieve what little things he had at the shelter. And he had a conversation with his boss to have his hours rearranged. Instead of working a five-day night shift, he's now working a three-day day shift.
Lumine didn't appear once during the first week Aether was staying there. A fact that angered him more and more every day- but unlike before- the anger wasn't overtaking his everyday life. It seemed that one Believer, Venti, was right on the mark with what he said. Now that he was seeing his daughter on a daily basis, he was a lot happier with life.
In the days coming up to the ceremony, he helps with various chores and participates in various religious practices. The tasks range from cleaning the church with Barbara and Rosaria, cooking with the kids, creating soon-to-be-destroyed art with Albedo, and sparring with the teens. And, of course, there was the preparation for the upcoming ceremony. Which included finding out what Vision he got, where his Vision would go, getting him some fancy clothes, and a lot of practice.
He only has to sacrifice one thing during his stay there, and that's phone service. Because, while the church has a supply of water and electricity, there's no internet or cellular data.
On the morning of the actual ceremony, some people from the other six churches of Their Grace arrived. That way, should he ever be chosen to deliver something to them, they would be able to easily recognize him. He had a short conversation with all of them, bonding particularly well with a pair of men named Xiao and Kazuha (from the Temple of Liyue and the Shrine of Inazuma respectively).
The Ceremony itself was a beautiful thing, if a bit like a wedding. Everyone was dressed in their best attire, and Aether was wearing an all-white suit. He was made to stand at the entrance of the church while Jean, being the High Priestess of the church, stood behind the altar. Meanwhile, Barbara, being the only musical one in the church, stood alone on the chancel. Soon, Barbara began to sing a song- the language unknown, but said to be the universe's first language- and Jean started the Prayer of Acceptance. At the same time, Aether started slowly making his way down the aisle.
By the time he made it to the altar, Jean and Barbara had finished their jobs. Jean then grabbed his new Vision- an Anemo jewel fashioned into an earring- walked around the altar, and put it on his left ear. And when she backed away, everyone in the church started cheering and clapping, before swarming him for hugs and handshakes.
