#sitri evergreen

Note
“Season’s blessings,” Sitri says by way of greeting, with a gift in hand. Inside of a box for Denning is a small fake pine tree, disassembled into all the different branches to be slotted into a rod that acts as its support. Included is a small instruction manual on how to piece it all together as well as a star topper. A note has been included with handwriting that appears to be neat and practiced. It reads: 'I didn't spend a lot of holidays like this for most of my life, but I remember a tree as the center of it all. We'd each make ornaments out of whatever we could find and hang them up. Acorns, old toys, whatever. It was a thing we'd all get together to do to make the whole thing work in time for the festival. I don't think I'm the right person to ask for what people usually give, since back then, we didn't have a lot, but some people would hand make toys from wood and others made clothes if we could afford it. I remember the village trying to save food for the big day too. That's what I associate with it anyway.’
... Remarkable quintessence. It burns bright with the flame of a dragon, and the heat of it licks up its skin. It is no change in temperature in truth — But that faux-heat is no less brilliant for it, diminished as it is.
Betraying no fragment of this, Denning recieves the box with an incline of the head, a 'season's blessings' mouthed voicelessly in return; Silently and politely, only to open it in the quiet of their room. They know not how to receive of it in a festive manner otherwise.
The meaning of the curious tree is not entirely beyond them — Evergreens do symbolise, to mortals, health and safety from malevolent spirits. They assemble it rather quickly, placing it upon their empty dresser to add the star topper and observe for a long, long moment. It makes sense such a thing may have a place at a winter festival, having seen others like it among the monastery's own decor, but to erect one in ones own home...?
But with the gift is a letter. They circle back around to read dutifully, information tucked away like a stone that may make good flint. There is a pause, then, looking at the note, its pleasantly regular handwriting, and the words whatever we could find; With a slight twitch of the eyebrow, the morph neatly folds the note into fourths and nestles it among the branches of the miniature pine. After another ten minutes of contemplation, a fletching-feather, a bookmark, and a length of spare ribbon join the scrap of paper on the small evergreen.
A toneless hum fills the air as they stare at it. They are not sure they can understand like this; Their anonymous benefactor had made this sound like a deeply social mortal affair, and whatever they currently have is nowhere near congruent to the experience. Frivolous things such as toys and acorns at odds with necessities like clothes...
Still, they can find no logical reason as to why the rest of their evening is taken up by staring at their little tree and combing through their room to find further odds and ends to balance upon its needles.

Sitri
One of the Goetic demons and a Prince, under the command of Lucifer. This information was shared to me by him and is also my own experiences through working with this wonderful infernal god.
Rulerships: romantic love, friendship, new beginnings, literature, classical music
History: Sitri was once a god of the jaguar-shifter race, a very ancient species who could change from humanoid to jaguar at will. These particular beings were often located in tribes within Mesoamerica, so Sitri later ended up watching over the Aztecs as well, trying to help guide them. However, he eventually left them when they became increasingly war-like against the other Mesoamericans, and just stayed with his own people. When the False God (Jehovah) arrived to Earth, Sitri was among those gods who stood against him, and so he ended up being thrown into Hell. This is when Sitri pledged himself to High King Lucifer, and became part of his domain.
Rank: Prince Elements: Ice, Water, Air, Earth, Unity Colours: White, Light Blue
Appearance: A pale man in his 30’s with white hair and light blue eyes. His horns are cream-coloured and come out from the top of his forehead, curving backwards. Sitri dresses in regal robes that are greyish-white in colour, with a white fur coat worn over this. When desired, he will take the form of a snow jaguar.
Personality: Sitri is very kind, polite, friendly, peaceful, patient, and is a good conversationalist. He enjoys changing the weather to become colder, seeing unity among people, and likes children and young animals. When people violate purity of any kind (including true love), he becomes extremely angry and blood-thirsty, ripping apart the one responsible.
How to call him: Speak to Sitri as you would with any other god, be polite and considerate. Contact him through telepathically speaking in your mind, directing the words to him (you can do this verbally, but if malicious spirits hear, they may pretend to be him). When inviting a Goetic demon to you, try to dress well for them since they are divine and royalty.
What he can help with: all matters of romance, gaining or mending friendships, new beginnings, severing toxic bonds, healing from abuse, gardening, landscaping, architecture, meditations, writing literature, playing or writing classical music, toy-making, and protection of innocents and those in need
His Enn (for meditation or devotion): Lirach Alora vefa Sitri
Offerings: White wine, champagne, fruit punches, green tea, lavender tea, all types of meat (beef, tapir, roast turkey, salmon, anchovies, etc), citrus fruits, limes, lychees, tangerines, figs, avocados, kumquat, white chocolate with raisins, tulips, Chinese bellflowers, cosmos flowers, hydrangeas, crystal quartz, snowflake obsidian, pearls, red jasper, lemon quartz, carnelian, jaguar effigies, panther effigies, wood pigeon feathers, eggs (not to eat), snow globes, snow leopard artwork, silver rings, music sheets, flutes, pianos, fountain pens, silver flintlock pistols, men’s wristwatches (not digital), white and silver candles, evergreen incense, geranium + patchouli incense, vanilla + cherry incense

Mirajane vs Lucy
I wish Hiro Mashima handled this fight much better as they were perfect opponents for each other to show off their abilities. During this fight we could have seen multiple Takeovers with their capabilities and multiple Stardresses mix with their capabilities.
BSS Mirajane vs Stardress: Radiance
BSS uses Dark attacks like Darkness stream, Soul extinction, Satan Blast, etc.
If Lucy used a combo of Leo(Light Magic), Gemini(Transformation Magic), Virgo(Diver), Taurus(Strength) and Sagittarius(Arrow).
Lucy uses Taurus Strength to face off against BSS in a Hand 2 Combat match with Mirajane slightly physically stronger.
BSS uses Darkness Stream while Lucy counters with Sagittarius Leo combo regulus shot.
Mirajane uses Satan Blast while Lucy counters with a Taurus Leo combo Regulus Storm.
Lucy uses a combo of Virgo Leo Gemini magic to increase her speed with a spell similar to Meteor but slightly faster while Mirajane uses BSS wings to increase speed.
Mirajane uses Soul extinction while Lucy uses a variation of Galaxia blade which utilizes Starlight to purify the Darkness.
For the most part both forms are roughly equal except BSS is physically stronger while Stardress Radiance is faster.
Sitri Mirajane vs Stardress: Tidal
Sitri strength comes from it’s use of Fire and physical prowess.
If Lucy a combo of Aquarius(Water), Taurus(Strength) and Libra(Gravity.
Lucy uses Gemini to mimic Yukino to gain a copy of her keys same as Angel did to Lucy in OS arc. For those who are wondering how she gains Libra power.
Mirajane fire clashes with Lucy’s water and cancels each other out.
Lucy uses a combo of Libra’s Gravity magic and Taurus Physical powress to attack Mirajane physically.
Mirajane uses her flames to fly while Lucy uses Libra’s gravity to fly.
For the most part they are equal in these forms with Mirajane being faster but Lucy being physically more powerful.
Keyes Mirajane vs Stardress: Egyptian
Keyes power revolve more around his intangibility and to raise the dead.
Lucy uses a combo of Scorpio(Sand), Gemini(Transformation and Taurus
Mirajane tries to use her intangible body against Lucy to infect her with Anti Magical particles but Lucy counters with a Sandstorm combo to blew Mirajane away making it hard to get close to Lucy.
Mirajane then uses her ability to control the dead to bring a bunch of skeletons to life from a local grave yard resulting in Lucy using a combo of Scorpio sand and Gemini transformation magic to transform the sand into sand monsters.
While Keyes form might have been the weaker of the two I would have eluded towards that being due to circumstance of not being able to get close enough to Lucy also the weaklings in the graveyard.
Jackal Mirajane vs Stardress: Aqua
Jackal is know for it’s explosive abilities and the ability to turn whatever it touches into an explosion.
Lucy uses a combo of Aquarius(Water), Horologium(Defense) and Gemini(Transformation)
Mirajane uses Jackal power to transform the air into mini explosions but Lucy counters with a combo of Gemini Transformation magic and Aquarius water magic to transform the ground into sea of water. Both powers nullifying each other.
Both simply cancel each other out. While Mirajane has the better attack power. Lucy has the better defensive power.
Ezel Mirajane vs Stardress: Warrior
Ezel power is based around swords and the ability to cut through things.
Lucy uses a combo of Virgo(Diver), Cancer(Swords), Gemini(Mimic) and Capricorn(Human subordination)
Mirajane uses Ezel power to cut things. Lucy simply counters with a combo of Cancer Capricorn and Gemini which allows her to pair with Mirajane slashes by mimicking them while using human subordination to weakening the attacks.
Lucy form being slightly superior due to the combo being able to weaken Mirajane while Mimicking her slash power. Eventually something like Human raise allowing them to take control over Mirajane.
Sayla Mirajane vs Stardress: Control
Sayla is known for Macro and limit release explosive power.
Lucy uses a combo of Capricorn(Human Subordination), Taurus(Physical), Aries(Wool), and Horologium(Defense)
Macro and Human subordination simply cancel each other out.
Limit release offers Mirajane a boost in prowess but is countered by Lucy’s Aries Horologium defense spell.
While Mirajane might have higher attack power it also is more magical consuming with limit release but Lucy’s defensive ability would allow her to withstand Mirajane attack power. Thus both really cancel each other out.
Torafusa Mirajane vs Stardress: Mermaid
Torafusa ability is density manipulation and water manipulation.
Lucy uses a combo of Aquarius(Water), Pisces(Water), Libra(Gravity, Virgo(Diver) and Taurus(Physical)
Mirajane summons Dark sea and uses her density power to increase her physical strength and speed in the water. Lucy counters by using Libra and Taurus Combo to increase her physical prowess with Gravity. Virgo diver magic to increase her speed in the water and combo of Virgo Libra to create holes to draw the Dark water away.
Lucy form is able to counter Mirajane dark sea magic and contend with her physically thus rending both roughly equal in power.
Tempesta Mirajane vs Stardress: Knowledge
Tempesta power revolves around controlling the elements like Wind, Fire, Water, Earth, lightning, etc.
Lucy uses a combo of Gemini(Mimic), Crux(Database), Aries(Wool), Aquarius(Water) and Libra(Gravity)
Mirajane uses a wind attack that is blocked by Aries wool. Mirajane uses a fire attack that is negated with Aquarius Water magic. Mirajane uses Gravity which is cancelled by Libra magic. Mirajane earth spell countered by Aquametria turning into lush earth. Lightning attack is countered by using Gemini power of mimic in which case Orga lightning god slayer magic was recorded and mimicked.
Both simpy counter each other attacks making both forms roughly equal except Lucy is a little bit more versatile by using a combo of Gemini(Mimic) and Crux(Database) to record other certain mages powers that Lucy’s powerlevel is around like Bicklow, Evergreen, Usouke, Sherry, Orga, etc. Nobody powerful like Laxus or Erza level.
Kyouka Mirajane vs Stardress:Gemini
Kyouka magic is based on sensory manipulation and enhancement.
Lucy could have used Gemini form to have mimicked Meredy earlier
Lucy using Sensory links herself and Mirajane together. Thus whatever happens to one happens to the other.
While each form cancels each opther out pretty much Lucy would have the advantage of summoning multiple spirits to take Mirajane out.
This is just my take on how the battle could have went. I didn’t add Algeria because it allows a sense of mystery still revolved around how powerful said form is. The idea that maybe Lucy wouldn’t have been able to contend with it and maybe it would have been as powerful or more powerful then someone like Erza. Overall the idea that said form can be used later on to fight someone stronger than Lucy without power inconsistency. As far as Franmarth his absorption power and Mirajane takeover should have canclled each other out thus her not being able to takeover him.

Sepia [Aelfric & Byleth]
starter for @swordofcreation
The sun gleams with the last warm remnants of autumn, bright in a cloudless sky, temporarily chasing away the portents of winter. The leaves have all fallen from the trees by now, save for the evergreens that prepare for the snow that will soon sit on their boughs, and the people of Garreg Mach walk together in bundles of heavy robes and woolen scarves. For once the crowd that the festival draws today is welcome protection from the icy winds that have already begun to whip beyond the town's gates, as are the scents of fresh-baked breads, smoked meat, and campfires.
Though on assignment from the church to watch over the festivities and to make himself available to pilgrims who have trekked to Garreg Mach for spiritual guidance, Aelfric is as much a willing festival-goer as all the others. Memories of past celebrations paint contentment across his face as he looks on. Forty years have passed so quickly, he thinks as he watches shades of his youth in the timid young men who try to please equally timid young women with food from the stalls lining the streets. Aelfric meets the glance from one with a gentle smile and a nod of acknowledgement, and then turns away to browse another street. May he be bold, he sends in silent prayer to the ghost of himself in that youth.
Hands resting upon one another behind his back, Aelfric browses the wares presented down this street with no real goal in mind. Many of the shopkeeps recognize him, as he has regularly attended the festivals of Garreg Mach for as long as he has lived there, and he stops to chat with one or two who have found their businesses slowed for the morning. The same conversations. The same people. Aelfric offers what pre-packaged advice he has prepared for these interactions, and the shopkeeps nod enthusiastically as if hearing some groundbreaking idea. They part, though neither has been made any different from the conversation.
The street opens up to a wide square, sectioned off by a makeshift enclosure at the center. Knights clad in blue and gold tend to horses who snort impatiently, and the crowd that has come to encircle them talks loudly and eagerly about Faerghus tradition. Aelfric paces the outer perimeter, looking over the heads of those gathered with mild interest. Memories of the past once more overwhelm him.
His feet stop.
Those eyes.
Renewed vigor spurs him through the crowd, to tap lightly on her shoulder.
She turns. Yes, without a doubt. A fond smile quickly overcomes the surprise.
"You must be Jeralt and Sitri's child."

More snowed in au? 😳👉👈 Maybe Ruby seriously considers the piercings idea and Cinder tags along to support her?
Ruby sighed as she listened to Cinder laugh. “Its not that funny…”
“No, you’re right, its absolutely hilarious!” Cinder tried to calm herself down, bent over as she laughed and took a couple breaths to try to stop. “Okay okay, I think I’m done laughing.”
“Having a fear of needles isnt that uncommon!”
“No, but having a fear of needles and deciding you want piercings is kinda funny.”
“I already said its not that funny.”
“Okay, its hilarious.”
Ruby rolled her eyes and walked into the tattoo parlor nervous as can be. Even if Cinder was the one to find it funny, she found it a tad bit humiliating that she was even in this situation. After months of thinking things over and goading from Cinder, she finally decided to get a few piercings. Though, now that she had walked into the parlor itself, she was finally starting to wonder if this was a good idea.
“I’ll be right there!” a voice called out from the back room.
Ruby sighed and looked around the displays with Cinder. She was already in awe with all the different kinds of piercings one could get, and even more in awe with the selections of rings and other body jewelry that were available.
“I think we should start with just your tongue and see how that feels for you.” Cinder stopped at a display with different tongue rings. “Definitely something small so it doesnt bother you much.”
“But, wont that hurt?”
“All piercings hurt, sweetie,” replied a green-haired woman as she walked over. “Well, ears dont hurt much depending on where the piercing goes, but for the most part, you’re going to be sore afterwards. Even more so if you have any allergic reactions to the metal or if your body starts to reject it.”
Ruby slowly nodded and looked over to the woman, her eyes focused on her dark green eyes and the piercing on the bridge of her nose. “R-right… so what would you suggest for a first?”
“As your girlfriend suggested, your tongue would be a good place to start if you want something a bit more adventurous. Though, keeping it clean while it heals will be a bit of work. You’ll also have to change your eating habits for a few weeks too.”
“She’s not my girlfriend.”
The woman looked between Ruby and Cinder. “If you’re not dating, then what are you?”
“Just roommates.” Cinder smiled at the woman and walked closer to her. “She just wanted me along for a little moral support since she has a small fear of needles. You know how it is.”
“That I do.” The woman started walking over to the cash register and smiled. “The name’s Sitri by the way. Just let me know once you’ve made a decision on what you want and I’ll get everything prepped.”
“Thank you.” Ruby sighed and started looking through the display cases again to decide which piercing to go for first. The more she looked around and thought about it, the more she realized Cinder was right and starting with her tongue wouldnt be a bad idea. Though, she wasnt sure about the care routine she’d have to do.
Cinder smiled at her. “Figure things out yet?”
“Not yet, still trying to decide.”
“I can pick for you if that helps.”
Ruby hesitated for a moment. “I-I’m not sure…”
“Dont worry, I promise you wont regret it.”
“Alright,” Ruby relented. “Just… dont make me get anything weird.”
Cinder smirked. “Dont worry, I wont.”
Ruby nodded and absentmindedly started looking through the displays again. Her eyes wandered to the cash register for a moment, watching as Cinder pointed to a chart in a few places. It wasnt long before Sitri looked at her and motioned her to follow.
“Follow me into the back.” Sitir smiled and started walking to a room. “I’ll get the needle cleaned and you can relax and get comfortable.”
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ruby groaned as she laid down on the couch, her tongue, chest, and navel all sore. “I thought you said it wasnt going to hurt this much…” she complained, her words coming out with almost a lisp from the new piercing in her mouth.
“Not my fault you have a low pain tolerance.” Cinder smiled and walked into the kitchen to start heating up some tea. “Just remember, rinse your mouth with salt water after you eat and only soft foods and liquids right now. Dont want to irritate your piercing.”
“I know I know…”
“And I can help out with your other piercings-”
“I can take care of those.” Ruby sighed and took a few breaths. “Although, I might need help not sleeping on my stomach…”
“Then you can sleep with me for the time being.” Cinder set a kettle of water to boil and walked over to Ruby again. “Or I can lend you the body pillow I used to help keep myself propped on my side when I had to let things heal.”
“I think I’ll try with the body pillow for now.”
“If that changes, just let me know.”
Ruby blushed and looked away from Cinder, her heart fluttered a bit. “You’ll be the first.”

Sitri sighed as she watched Sapphire talk to Cinder once again. As the days passed, she noticed that Cinder and Sapphire seemed to be getting closer, always talking in private, putting her team to the wayside. She had thought they were going to figure out what Ozpin was up to together, but at this rate…
“You’re staring again, Evergreen,” said Xanthic, her tone slightly more annoyed as she messed with her scroll. “Keep this up and someone will think you have a crush.”
“I do not!” Sitri glared at her partner, giving a small huff. “I’m just… worried that Saph is spending more time with Cinder than she is with us. And with the dance coming up and whatever mission we’re supposed to be taking-”
“And you’re starting to worry over nothing.” Xanthic sat her scroll down and looked over towards Cinder and Sapphire, watching the two walk off. “If you’re that worried, why dont you just talk to her about it?”
“And say what, exactly? ‘Gee Sapphy, you sure seem to be close to that Cinder girl. What’s going on with you two?’ If I say that, she’s going to think I’m crazy!”
“Then dont say it like that,” Xan deadpanned, picking up her scroll again.
Sitri sighed and slumped in her seat. “Always the helpful one, arent you Xan?”
“Its a gift.” Xan pressed a button on her scroll, smiling as her eyes came to life with a slight glow. “Alright, I need you to stand up in front of me.”
Sitri stood up and walked in front of Xan. “Like this?”
“Perfect.” Xan watched as the information that was on file for Sitri displayed in the corner of her eye. She pressed the same button on her scroll, slowly getting up and walking out of the cafeteria. “Alright, that should do it.”
“T-that’s it?”
“Yup, that’s it.”
“You didnt do anything though.”
“I just had to test to see if something was working, and it does.”
Sitri rolled her eyes and packed up her stuff to follow Xanthic. “And what exactly did you need to test?”
“Calibration, seeing through objects...” A small smirk crept across Xanthic’s face. “Afraid of spiders, huh?”
“...you hacked into the school’s database, didnt you?”
“Hacked? Maybe… or maybe they left the door open.”
“You know we’re going to get in trouble if you get caught, right?”
Xanthic shrugged, continuing to the dorm. At best, Ozpin or Glynda will know that someone accessed the files, not like they’d be able to tell who did. And at worst, well, there were worse things than being caught looking through other student files. Besides, anything that gave her an edge on her opponents for the tournament was fair game as far as she was concerned.
Sitri kept herself silent as she walked, not really wanting to press the matter with Xanthic any further. She noticed Sapphire and Cinder off in a corner of the hallway, still talking together. Even if Sapphire seemed to be leaving her and the rest of the team in the dark about what she really knew about Ozpin, she couldnt help but feel like there was something else going on between her and Cinder.
“Keep staring and someone will think you have a crush.”
Sitri’s face went red with embarrassment, her tone staying in a hushed whisper. “I do not have a crush!”
“If I know people, and I do, there’s only two reasons someone ever keeps tabs on someone: jealousy and love. And unless you’re suddenly the jealous type-” Xan sighed as she heard her scroll ring, interrupting her thought. She quickly pulled it out of her pocket, seeing Aro’s name on the ID. “I think we’ll need to have this discussion later. For now, I need to make sure Aro isnt in too much trouble.”
Sitri waved Xanthic off, keeping an eye on Cinder and Sapphire. She knew she probably had nothing to worry about, but the way that Cinder kept trying to keep Saph away from her team, as team leader, it was her job to make sure Sapphire was okay.

Sapphire almost grinned as she watched Aro carry a flailing Sitri into the dorm and set her down on the bed. “Now that you’re here, we can start.”
Sitri pouted as she sat down, crossing her arms. “I was busy!”
“Busy with what, staring at Cinder?” Aro moved to take a seat near Xanthic, smirking at Sitri. “You know, if you want her attention-”
“I do not like Cinder!”
“Children…” Sapphire muttered under her breath, trying to keep others from hearing her. She noticed Aro glancing in her direction, quickly clearing her throat. “As you know, the dance is tonight which means its the perfect opportunity to start figuring out just what Ozpin is planning.”
“And how do you suppose we do that?” asked Xan. “Even though he’s the headmaster, I doubt he’ll end up going to a student run dance.”
“He probably wont, however, he’ll still have his plans somewhere. And I’m sure your… talents… will be of use to get us what we need.” Salem pulled out her scroll and started fumbling with it for a moment before using a bit of magic to bring up a model of Beacon. “With his office here in the tower, and the dance-” she pointed to the two places respectively. “-it’ll give us enough time-”
“Actually, I think I have a better idea.” Xanthic got up and grabbed a holographic projector from her desk, tossing it to the ground and turning it on. An image of Penny came to life with the hard light dust projection, the words P.E.N.N.Y Project circling around underneath her. “This is Penny.”
Sapphire gave a slight glare to the image, annoyed with what she was looking at. This false humanity never ceased to surprise her with the lengths they’d go in order to stop her, but Ironwood creating a machine to seem human, a weapon that could take the maiden powers and attempt to use them against her… she hated that even she thought it was clever. “And… what exactly is your plan?”
“I did some digging and found Penny is a top secret project that General Ironwood has been working on. And I’m willing to bet that even Ozpin doesnt know what she is.” Xan waved her hand, using a glove she designed to move the projection to show Penny’s inner workings. “Now, Penny is connected to both the Atlas and Vale networks while she’s here. And since she has her own access point, I could use that to “extract” whatever information we need about Ozpin.”
Sitri rolled her eyes a bit. “Why cant we just enjoy the dance like everyone else will? Besides, who cares what Ozpin is up to? He’s a headmaster to a hunter’s academy, not a dictator to a kingdom.”
Aro paused for a moment .”Sitri… does have a point. If anything, we should be doing something about Ironwood. He’s the one who’s practically in charge of a kingdom that continues to flaunt wealth and power over anyone they see as lesser.”
Sapphire let out a sigh, watching Xan move through Penny’s plans. Aro had a point, that right now, no one else on her team had anything against Ozpin. At least, not like they had with Ironwood. A wicked grin crossed her face as a new plan started to form, one that could get her team further on her side. “Then we strike Ironwood while he’s here.”
Aro let out a laugh. “Right, like we can just attack him-”
“Xanthic, when we were looking for Blake a few months ago, you said that you could get into Penny’s access point, right?”
Xan nodded, grabbing her projector and turning it off. “Yeah, it’s simple enough.”
“Think you can use her as a distraction while you pull everything you need from her?”
“I can manage that.”
“Great.” Sapphire stood up and walked to the closet, pulling out a few dresses. “Now we just need to figure out what we need to wear for the dance. Just to keep up appearances.”
Xan rolled her eyes. “As long as I’m not wearing a dress, I’ll be fine.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xan glared at Sapphire, adjusting the straps to the dress she wore. “When we are finished here, I’m going to kill you.”
“And you look fantastic in it,” replied Sapphire, walking into the dance with her black dress, embroidered with sapphire webbing . “Blue does wonders for your eyes.”
Xan took a few deep breaths, rolling her eyes. “I really hate her.”
Sitri giggled a bit. “She is right, you look lovely in that dress.”
Xan looked down at the cerulean colored dress she wore, not that she could actually see what color it was. She shook her head and started walking to a table, searching for access points with her eyes. “Fuck you too.”
“While you take care of your job, I’m going to the punch bowl-”
Xan grinned for a moment. “And miss your date? I dont think so.”
Sitri hesitated for a moment. “My… date?”
Xan nodded and motioned her head to Cinder. “You’re welcome.”
Sitri frowned, walking closer to Xanthic to whisper at her. “I already told you I do not like-” She paused when she felt someone tap her shoulder, immediately turning around and knocking a couple chairs over with her tail. “C-Cinder, hey…”
Cinder took a small step backwards, nervously looking towards Emerald and Mercury who seemed just as amused as Xanthic was. “I uh… got your email… but you really wanted to go on a date, you could’ve asked in person.”
Sitri glared at Xanthic as she replied. “Right, the email I sent.” She turned to face Cinder, giving a fake smile to her. “I… was nervous. But I’m glad you’re accepting.”
Xanthic watched and Cinder and Sitri held hands and walked out to the dance floor, leaning back in her chair a bit with a large grin on her face. “On second thought, if being in a dress means I get to watch this trainwreck, then its worth it.”

Sapphire watched as the first year and visiting students all made their way to the mission board to sign up for missions for the week, dreading that she’d be under constant supervision. Even so, she promised her teammates she’d leave her opinion out of which mission to take, letting them decide for her. Although, she felt amused as she watched Sitri growl at the board, constantly pressing on missions only to get denied.
“Why cant we choose one?!” Sitri practically yelled as she pressed the “accept mission” button, only to get a denial message. With a frustrated growl, she pulled out her spear, ready to stab the screen, only getting stopped by Xanthic.
“Breaking the mission board isnt going to solve any of our problems.” Xan pulled out her scroll and started running a bit of code as her eyes started analyzing the mission board for an access point. “But hacking-”
“Will be completely unnecessary.” Goodwitch walked over to team SAAP, looking them over and keeping her gaze on Sapphire. “Professor Ozpin felt it was best to keep you four somewhere close where we could keep an eye on you. Especially after what happened to Miss Rose.”
Sapphire frowned a bit, wanting to argue but kept herself quiet. She was certain that Ozpin was finally starting to catch on and for now, she couldnt make a big fuss about it. Then she heard Sitri speak up.
“You have to be kidding me!” Sitri stormed over to Goodwitch, glaring at her. “We’ve spent the last few weeks doing everything we could to be on our best behavior to get our pick of a mission to go on! Why change it now?”
“For starters, Miss Evergreen, your team, along with team RWBY, have seemed to be at the center of the dock mishap last semester,” Goodwitch stated matter-of-factly. “ And since your team members were the ones who blew up the dock, Professor Ozpin has felt that we need to keep an eye on you and your team. So for now, your mission will be to assist me with clean up duty with the CCT tower.”
Aro paused for a moment. “You say that like it was attacked.”
“That’s because it was.” Goodwitch started walking off to the courtyard. “I expect the four of you to be there in an hour. Detention if you’re late.”
Sitri dropped to her knees, hanging her head. “But… I wanted a fun mission… One that would take us to the outskirts of the kingdom...”
Aro picked Sitri up and started heading back to the dorm. “I’ll make sure Sitri and I are on time. For now, I think its best if we dont leave her near the mission board to suffer.”
Xanthic shrugged a bit, putting her scroll away and heading towards the tower. “If the CCT was recently attacked, I think I’ll make my way over to start investigating to see what’s going on.”
Sapphire watched as her team dispersed, deciding to take a bit of time herself to walk around before the constant supervision that was going to be Goodwitch. Her gaze made its way to Team RWBY, a frown coming across her face as she saw Ruby with crutches. She walked over, letting out a sigh. “What happened?”
Ruby turned to face Sapphire, giving a nervous smile. “I ummm… ended up in a fight that didnt end well. Someone snuck into the CCT tower and she… broke my leg.”
Weiss flicked Ruby’s forehead. “What did I tell you about fighting while low on aura?”
“Its not my fault! She made a few of the computer explode and I wasnt able to get away fast enough before my aura shattered!”
“Since when are you too slow at anything?”
Sapphire shook her head. “So, not heading off on a mission this time?”
“As per Ozpin’s orders, I’m supposed to sit here and heal up a bit,” Ruby answered. “Although, the rest of my team will be heading out on one with Oobleck.”
“You’re the one who keeps insisting we go.” Yang gently squeezed Ruby’s shoulder. “You sure you’ll be okay without us? We can still stay-”
“N-no, its fine, you guys need to go. After all, you guys are going out there to follow a lead for Blake. You shouldnt put it off just because of me.”
“You know, you could always help out my team and I,” offered Sapphire. “We’re just going to be fixing up the CCT tower while Goodwitch keeps an eye on us. So its not going to be anything too dangerous.”
Ruby smiled a bit. “You know, that might be a decent change of pace.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
“This. Officially. Sucks.” Aro sat one of the computer desks down, her eyes still glowing blue while the gravity dust along her body started to dim. “How are things looking for you, Sapphy?”
Sapphire placed another couple boxes down, dropping to her knees. Out of everything she had prepared for, fighting other students, using as little magic as she could to keep up appearances, even the possibility of fighting Ozpin here and now… none of that compared to the slave driver that Goodwitch had become. “Exhausted.”
Goodwitch walked by, using her semblance to pick up the non-salvageable pieces. “Only another seven desks and computers to go.”
Sitri winced as she heard that, slowly sitting up. “Couldnt we just use the elevator? Do we have to take the stairs for all of this?”
“Consider this as punishment for your team’s behavior in my class all semester.”
Sitri groaned, waiting until she couldnt hear Goodwitch’s heels on the tile before speaking. “I never thought I could hate Goodwitch this much.”
Aro’s aura finally shattered, her semblance dropping as her eyes quit glowing. “You’re telling me. Xanthic! You finally gonna help us?”
“I am helping.” Xanthic kept her nose in her scroll, reading over lines of code and running through files as she took in the information from the servers. “I’m still looking for anything that might’ve been tampered.”
“Didnt Goodwitch tell you no more hacking?”
“Yes, but as soon as I prove this as worthwhile and prove that the General isnt always right, she’ll change her tune.”
Sapphire sighed. “You better hurry, the slaver is on her way back over.”
Xanthic paused as an image of a black queen popped up on the screen of her scroll. She quickly started downloading everything related to it from the server before shutting off her scroll. “Dont worry, I’m just about finished here.”

Sapphire watched as her team “mingled” around the dance floor, well most of her team. Aro had decided to stay in the dorm while Xanthic stayed at a table and messed with her scroll. She let out a sigh, rolling her eyes as she muttered to herself. “Why does Xan trust technology more than people?”
Her eyes wandered a bit more through the dance floor, watching Cinder and Sitri awkwardly dance together. It was somewhat amusing to see the girl she wanted as a maiden dancing with a member of her team, but as amusing as it was, the last thing she wanted was for Cinder to be distracted with her part of everything.
Sapphire looked around the dance once more, this time her eyes pausing on her goal: Ruby Rose standing at the punch table. She gave her a soft smile. “You know, it’ll probably be more fun if you actually dance with someone.”
Ruby nearly jumped, not having noticed Sapphire walking up to her. “O-oh, hey Sapphire. I figured you’d be with the rest of your team.”
“They’re… preoccupied.” Sapphire motioned out to the other two members of her team that she came with. “Besides, you look like you could use a bit more company yourself.”
Ruby chuckled a bit as she took a sip from her glass. “I guess you could say that. Yang and Blake are together with Sun and Neptune and Weiss-” she paused for a moment as she watched Weiss mess with a few napkins at an empty table. “-was supposed to be with Neptune…”
Sapphire shrugged a bit, her eyes sticking on Sitri and Cinder. “Still, you could be having fun out there.”
“In these lady stilts?” Ruby sat down in a chair near the punch table, letting out a sigh of relief as she took her heels off. “I’m going to need to have a talk with Weiss on how she can fight in these. They’re torture.”
Sapphire let out a small chuckle, sitting down next to Ruby. “So, why are you here anyway?”
“Mostly for Weiss and Yang. They worked hard putting everything together, although I dont get the point of being social. We’re at a school learning to be huntresses and hunters! To help others and learn to fight bad guys!”
“Let me tell you, learning social graces helps so you dont act like those two over there.” Sapphire pointed over to Sitri and Cinder, both of who didnt seem to want to be there. She could faintly hear Sitri trying, and failing, to make small talk with Cinder while Cinder brushed off every question with a single word answer, keeping the nearest clock in the corner of her eyes to keep track of the time.
Ruby winced a bit when she finally noticed Sitri and Cinder together. “Okay, you have a point.”
Sapphire sat in silence with Ruby for a bit, watching the other students. She couldnt fault them for being carefree, not knowing what was going to be in store for them in the following weeks. But part of her felt disappointed that they all seemed… happy. That for once, none of them felt like anything could go wrong.
Ruby finally broke the silence after taking a loud sip from her cup. “So… what a year, right? Between looking for Blake, what happened at the docks, Torchwick causing problems… if this is what being a huntress is like, I cant wait.”
Salem rolled her eyes a bit. “Why? So you can spend the rest of your life in debt to a kingdom?”
“Well, being a huntress is my dream. Fighting grimm, taking out crime syndicates… that’s what I’ll be doing. Making the world a better place one mission at a time.” Ruby let out a small sigh, looking down into the cup she had for herself. “Although, part of me is still nervous about all of it. Even though I’ll be one of the youngest huntresses to graduate from Beacon, it still feels a long way off. And even then, I still have to pass all of these classes. But, as long as I can follow my mother’s footsteps, I think I’ll be okay.”
Sapphire frowned a bit after hearing those words. For a moment, she swore she could see Summer once more: the same senseless dream, the same naivety, the same hope that was about to be shattered… just another silver eyed warrior that would be used by Ozma as a pawn in this game they played. A game he could never hope to win. “You really think it’ll be like that?”
“I mean, how else will it be? I mean, we’re here learning how to fight monsters and deal with criminals to protect others.”
“What if I told you there are worse things out there than grimm? People with powers beyond what you could comprehend. Humans and faunus that make nightmares seem tame.” Sapphire placed a hand on the table behind her, letting out a bit of magic towards the lights of the room. A wicked grin came across her face as the room was bathed in a purple haze. She glanced over to Sitri and Cinder, allowing them a bit of a reprieve from their situation. “What you’re learning to do here is child’s play. You will never be prepared for what’s to come.” She slowly took her hand off the table, letting out a sigh.
Ruby watched as the lights went back to normal. “Huh, that was weird.” She could hear a few of the students nearby chatting amongst themselves about it, mostly complimenting Yang and Weiss about pulling all the stops for the dance. Ruby let out a small sigh, setting her cup down. “I know I’ll never fully be prepared. And honestly, that’s where a bit of the excitement is for me. Who knows what we’ll… see…” Ruby’s words trailed off as she watched a figure jump from rooftop to rooftop outside the window of the dance. “I need to take care of something.”
Sapphire shook her head as she watched Ruby rush off, not bothering to put her heels back on. “Of course you do… always getting in the way…”
Sitri finally made her way over, grabbing a cup for herself and walking over to Sapphire. “So this is where you’ve been hiding. Figured you’d be out there dancing with people.”
Sapphire shrugged. “Was keeping Ruby company until she ran off. Speaking of, arent you supposed to be with Cinder right now?”
“She disappeared on me when the lights dimmed. Which is fine, I am absolutely okay with never being with her again. She was so… awkward to talk to. But hey, at least the next to the punch table is free. To the socially awkward, right?” Sitri moved her cup over to Sapphire with a small smile.
Sapphire got up and started walking towards the door, ready to leave. “On second thought, I’m going back to the dorm to do a little bit of research.”
Sitri slumped a bit and took a sip from her cup. “Right.... Leave me hanging…”

Infiltration AU. Is Salem gonna play hero to impress Ruby? Or will she sabotage the huntresses-in-training?
Xanthic pulled out her scroll and started running through a few of the cameras near the dust shop in Vale. “I’ve tapped into a few of the cameras around, which means we can see where Blake went and hopefully find her quickly.”
Ruby smiled a bit, feeling a bit better. “That’ll be great. The last thing I want is for my team to fall apart before we can really become a team.”
Salem sighed in displeasure, a bit miffed that her plan was already starting to fall apart. She needed to get Ruby alone, not have her team start helping the girl out. But, then again, if she could play the hero that Ruby wanted to see in a huntress…
“If the technology fails to find her, I might have another way to do so.”
Ruby looked over at Salem, curious as to what the girl was offering. “What do you mean?”
“My… semblance… allows me to track people down,” Salem lied. It felt unnatural to say those words, but since this brand of humanity had no magic to help them, she had to start using their own lingo. Not that they’d ever really know what magic was if it bit them in the ass. Even those four girls that Ozma shared his magic with could never dream of using it to its full extent. “It’ll take a bit of time and I’ll need one of her possessions, but the tracking is flawless and will lead us straight to her.”
Xanthic looked at Salem with a little disdain, not exactly happy at being shown up. “Saph, thanks for the offer, but I’m sure Ruby would rather a professional help her out.” She quickly sat her scroll down and pulled out one of the gloves her father and mentor taught her how to make, connecting it to her scroll and pulling out multiple camera views. “This isnt the first time I’ve had to track someone down and more than likely wont be the last. We’ll find Blake before you’ll ever be needed.”
Salem rolled her eyes a bit as she watched Xanthic. As true as it was that technology could be helpful, a lot of it felt primitive to what she could do. Not that she could actually do much if she wanted to keep her cover from being blown. She at least needed to stay hidden long enough to find the vault so her piece could move in and swipe the relic right from under Ozma’s nose. “If you say so. It all seems unreliable to me.”
Xanthic ignored Salem, just focusing on her work. She methodically started moving the camera views around, giving her as much clarity as she could. She smiled as she watched the recording of Blake move along the rooftops towards the industrial quarter. “Here we are. Found her.”
Ruby looked over Xanthic’s shoulder, smiling a bit. “I cant believe you found her that quick.”
“Well, it’s not quite that simple yet. Unfortunately, we’re about an hour behind her already, which means she might not be there anymore.”
“But it’s a start, right?”
“That it is.” Xanthic snapped her fingers, lining up all the camera views before shutting down her scroll. “Which means once we get there, we can start checking out the scene and maybe find out where she went next. Most of that area is cameraless, so I wont be able to have my eyes in the sky for that.”
Salem smirked a bit. “Well, sounds like you might end up being useless after all.”
Xanthic glared at Salem, not particularly happy about everything that she was saying. “Shut it Saph. I will put you in your place.”
Salem felt amused by Xanthic’s threat, slowly moving closer to her and whispering in her ear. “I’d love to see you try.”
Xanthic hesitated as she heard the calmness in Salem’s voice, not even remotely phased by the threat. Everything about Sapphire started seeming off to her. The way she seemed calm around grimm. The way she seemed to know more about others and how they’d act. It was almost as if she wasnt entirely human.
Salem started walking out the door, turning to smile at her team and Ruby. “So, are we going then?”
Sitri shook her head and started pulling out her books to study. “Unlike the rest of you, I need to study for class. You all go ahead. Maybe with a little peace and quiet I can get something done.”
Aurora smiled and started following after Salem. “Sure, I see no reason why not. And maybe if there are a few White Fang around, we can show them just what kind of mistake they’re making.”
Salem turned her gaze to Ruby, her real target of all of this. “And you, my dear? You’ll want to come and find your friend, right?”
Ruby nodded and rushed past using her semblance. “I’ll meet you there!”
Salem smiled as she watched the girl run off. The longer she lived, the easier this second round of humanity seemed to be manipulated. All it took was a few promises here and there and she could bend their will at her fingers.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aurora ran up the sides of a few buildings on the way to the industrial quarter, getting herself a view of the city and trying to spot anyone moving around. It was one of the few times she felt free. No gravity to bind her to its rules. Just the wind in her hair and the complete freedom of doing whatever she pleased.
Xanthic followed behind Aurora, keeping tabs on the camera she was holding. This was one of the few times where Aurora’s talents came in plenty of use. Even without any street cameras around, at least she could count on Aurora to give her the eyes she needed. She quickly tapped the com-piece in her ear. “Think you can get me a clear shot of the area? I think I can pinpoint a few places she could be hiding.”
“You can count on me!”
Salem sighed as she watched Aurora rush off ahead, using a combination of lighting and gravity dust to move faster and higher. Once again, her efforts to get Ruby alone were eluding her. There had to be another way…
Ruby pulled out her scroll and tried to call Blake for the third time on the search, no longer paying attention to her surroundings. “Come on Blake, please answer-” It didnt take long for her to run into what felt like a metal wall, falling over and dropping her scroll.
“Sal-u-taions!”
Ruby sat up, hesitating when she saw a red-haired girl flat on her back. “O-oh, sorry, I didnt mean to run into you like.” Ruby got up and offered her hand to the girl.
The girl slowly got up, smiling at Ruby. “It’s fine. I should’ve paid a bit more attention to where I was going. I’m… a bit lost.”
Xanthic watched the girl, suddenly feeling unsure about her, while Salem hesitated on trying to get a read on her.
Ruby smiled at her. “Where were you heading? Sapphire, Xanthic, and I are heading to the industrial quarter to find a friend of mine.”
“Maybe I could help you find her. My name is Penny. And yours?”
“Ruby.” Ruby started to relax a bit as she talked to Penny. The girl seemed off, but in the same off kind of way that she was when trying to talk to others. “Another pair of eyes would definitely be useful.”
Xanthic slowly pulled out her scroll, hesitating as it pointed out a new access point in the area. “Huh, that cant be right…”
Salem looked over to Xanthic. “What’s that?”
“Its that girl. There’s… something off about her. I’ll tell you more when I can figure it out.”
Salem nodded a bit, keeping an eye on Penny and seeing how close she had gotten to Ruby so quick. It was almost as if the two were practically made for each other. Which didnt bode well for her. She had to find a way to separate them. “I have a thought. Why dont we split up while we search? We can cover a bit more ground that way.”
Xanthic nodded in agreement. “That doesnt sound like a bad plan. I’ll go with-”
Ruby quickly took Penny’s hand and started darting off. “Penny and I will take the north section. We’ll make our way east and meet up with you guys there!”
Salem frowned a bit as she watched Ruby run off with Penny, starting to get irritated on how hard it was to get close to a single girl. Almost as if the gods themselves were just toying with her.
Xanthic smirked a bit as she messed with her scroll. “I knew it! Penny’s not human!”
Salem hesitated for a moment. “What do you mean she’s not human?”
“Besides the camera on Aurora and our scrolls, which I’ve already tapped into, there arent any access points… except for one. And it’s coming from Penny.”
“So, you could tap into her and see what she sees then?”
“Its possible, but… I’ve never seen anything like her before. Even most Atlas tech is simple but Penny… she’s on a different level.”
Salem nodded, taking everything she was told into consideration. As inferior as this humanity was, every now and again they seemed to surprise her. And this was no exception. “Try to hack into her.”
Xanthic looked at Salem a bit curiously. “Why? Even if I do, all she’d do is give me another pair of eyes to look through.”
Salem started walking off, heading to the south of the quarter. “I want to see if it can be done. And if so, it’ll confirm something for me about you.”
“And what would that confirm?”
“Who taught you to use your technology like that. And if it’s who I think it is, then we have a lot to discuss later.”

Infiltration Au. Salem wandering the town with a bunch of hormonal teenagers... Does it feel like a babysitting trip or?
Salem dreaded walking around town with a bunch of… hormonal teenagers. However, at least for now, it seemed to be the only way for her to get closer to Ruby. Which caused problem number one…
Aro stared at Ruby’s cloak, feeling a mixture of fear and anger from the sight of the red. Not only that, but the accented red on Ruby’s outfit was starting to… cause issues. “You… need to get rid of that cloak.”
Ruby looked at Aro curiously. “I… dont think I understand.”
“Get rid of your cloak!” Aro slammed her hand on the table, cracking part of it.
Yang frowned and got between Ruby and Aro. “Her cloak isnt doing anything wrong. What’s your problem with her anyway?”
“My problem is that she shouldnt be here!”
“And for once, I think I found someone I agree with,” Weiss piped up. “...even if she is a faunus.”
“And what’s wrong with faunus, exactly?” Aro’s gaze went straight to Weiss, ready to fight things out.
Xanthic sighed and pulled Aro back. “Aro and I are going to go take a walk. We’ll meet back up with you all in a bit.”
Ruby sighed as she watched Aro and Xanthic walk off, starting to feel like this was all a bad idea. “W-well, at least the rest of us can have a bit of fun, right?”
Sitri nodded, pulling out her scroll and looking at the list of all the sights she wanted to see. “This will be great! Oh, when is team JNPR coming around? I have got to get Pyrrha’s autograph.”
“They’re bailing on us.” Blake got up and started walking. “Seems like its just our teams that wanted to do this today. And even at that… more like just six of us.”
“Aro will be fine… I think. Xanthic seems to have her under control. But lets start by heading to the docks.”
Salem watched for a moment as RWBY and Sitri started walking off, heading towards the docks. She took a moment to make a mental note about Aurora and her dislike towards Ruby’s cloak. Maybe something about the color… she wasnt quite sure. Either way, it seemed like something to keep an eye on. And Xanthic… the way she seemed to always be close to Aro… maybe there was something going on between them. And if that was the case, they’d both be easy to use as pawns. Once a few others have lost their usefulness…
“Sapphire! You coming?”
Salem sighed and looked to see Sitri calling out to her. She slowly got up, not looking forward to this. “Yeah, I’ll be right there. Just… wanted to take in a few of the sights.” That’s what these kids were into now, right? Sight seeing and all that. It didnt matter to her, just as long as she could continue passing as a teenager under Ozpin’s nose. She started walking over to her team leader, keeping an eye on Ruby, waiting for any chance to pull her aside. All she needed was one moment…
Ruby stopped as the group passed a dust shop with a couple cops in front of it. “Seems like another dust robbery. I guess Torchwick is still at it…”
“Or it could just be the White Fang.” Weiss kept walking past the shop, not really caring much about it. “They’re always acting up and causing trouble.”
“The White Fang would never do this. Why would they need so much dust? Ruby’s right, it’s probably Torchwick.”
Salem looked at the dust shop, smirking a bit as she saw the signs of Cinder having been around. Seems like everything was going according to plan so far and better yet, no one was able to pin the robbery on just one person. Seems like her piece was effective after all. “Not much we can do about it, unfortunately. Best to have the cops handle it.”
“Or… we could have a stake out.” Ruby smirked a bit as she looked around the area. “We can find another dust shop to watch and we can prove if it is or isnt the White Fang and then stop them-”
“That’s a terrible idea.” Weiss frowned and grabbed Ruby’s cloak to start pulling her. “We’re just students. This is a job for the police.”
“Not like the police are going to do anything about it. And it’s not the Fang.” Blake stepped up to Weiss, glaring at her. “Ruby’s right, we need to watch one of the shops-”
“And then what? The White Fang are terrorists!”
“They’re not terrorists, they’re just misguided.”
Weiss raised a brow at Blake in disbelief.
“Okay, very misguided. But they’d never stoop to stealing dust!”
Sitri hesitated for a moment as she watched Weiss and Blake, still not quite sure what was going on. “Are… are they always like this?”
“Only recently,” Yang said, starting to sound a bit annoyed. “First it was Weiss yelling at Ruby, now she’s yelling at Blake… I swear she hates everyone here.”
Salem kept an eye on Weiss, starting to get a bit more intrigued by her. First the glyphs, and now she was tearing a rift in her own team… she was starting to sound a bit more like pawn material. All she needed was a little nudge. “You know, I think Weiss is right. The White Fang is to blame here. Along with the rest of the problems this kingdom is facing.”
Blake hesitated for a moment before turning to face Salem. “What exactly are you getting at?”
“All I’m suggesting is that Weiss is right. Think about it, ever since the White Fang became more active with their… violent acts… we’ve seen more grimm attacks. More shops are starting to see break-ins or property damage, especially dust shops. And not to mention all those riots the faunus are causing. If it was me, I’d start looking for a way to take them down.”
Weiss smirked a bit as she looked at Salem, glad someone was on her side. “See? Sapphire is making sense.”
“That’s not at all what’s going on!” Blake turned to Weiss, glaring at her. “All we want is to be treated like people, not monsters! And if a little property damage has to be done to send a message, then so be it!”
Everyone stopped and stared at Blake, not quite sure they were believing what they heard. Salem, on one hand, couldnt believe that all of this was working out in her favor .A rift like this would be hard to mend, splitting the team to allow her a bit more access to Ruby.
Weiss hesitated as she processed everything Blake had said. “We?”
Sitri immediately got between Weiss and Blake, shaking a bit. “I’m sure there’s a reasonable explanation and we just need to hear her out. Right Blake?”
Blake didnt answer, immediately rushing off and using her semblance to make for a quick escape. Everything had gone wrong quickly, all from just a few words.
Salem smirked, keeping an eye on the rest of the team, looking for other ways to divide them. At this rate, getting to Ruby was going to be easier than she thought.
Weiss huffed as she watched Blake run off, putting her rapier away and walking the other direction. “Well… good riddance I say. Once White Fang trash, always trash.”
“That’s no way to talk to our teammate.” Yang started following Weiss, keeping close behind. “We should be going after her and finding out the full story.”
Xanthic and Aro finally arrived after Yang stormed after Weiss, confused about all the yelling. “Did… we miss something?”
Sitri looked towards Ruby, who was already feeling a bit dejected after being left by her team. “I’m… still trying to figure out what went on.”
Salem smiled and started walking back to the dorm, her mission for the day finished. “We just had a chat about the White Fang. Apparently one of Team RWBY was a member. A pity.”
Aro sighed and looked towards Ruby for a moment, starting to feel a bit conflicted. She still wasnt fond of the fact that she lost to the girl, but having a team split like this…
Xanthic walked up to Ruby and placed a hand on her shoulder. “You dont think it was the White Fang, do you?”
Ruby shook her head. “No, I dont.”
“Want to prove it?”
“I do.”
Xanthic nodded and started walking back to Beacon. “Then come with me. I’m sure we can get down to the bottom of this.”

Salem sighed as she watched her team spar against Team RWBY, not entirely thrilled about how everything was progressing. The Vytal festival was less than a month away and she was still no closer to getting Ruby to join her. Ruby had managed to repair the rift between her team members, keeping her away.
“Aro! Get Yang!” called out Sitri as she used her new tail to try to keep Ruby at bay.
“On it!” Aro activated her semblance, grinning as her eyes gave a slight glow as her pupils went white and the dust tattoos on her body started to glow brightly. Electricity built up on her hands, discharging as she slammed her glaive against Yang’s gauntlets.
Xanthic shook her head as she watched her teammates, taking pot shots at Weiss and Blake to keep a bit of distance between them and Aro. “Alright Saph, do your thing.”
Salem nodded and took a few steps forward, pulling out a couple of swords and slamming them into the ground. She watched as the ice dust activated with her magic, creating a few ice pillars from the ground. “Sitri! Finish it!”
Sitri nodded and dragged her tail point across the ground, the fire dust inside the blade of the tail lighting up, producing a searing hot flame as it smashed through the ice. Steam built up around the arena, giving her and the rest of her teammates enough time to catch team RWBY off guard, throwing them out of the arena.
“Team SAAP wins!” Glynda used her semblance to start to clear the arena, keeping an eye on Sapphire. “Seems like you four will be quite the contenders in the Vytal Festival.”
Aro thumped a fist against her chest, practically beaming. “Of course we will be! I’m the best here!”
Sitri sighed and started pulling Aro back to her seat. “Come on, enough gloating.”
Aro jerked away from Sitri, glaring at her. “Fine.”
Goodwitch groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose as she listened to Team SAAP. A wave of relief went through her as she heard the bell. “Alright class, you’re dismissed. Dont forget to sign up for the training missions on Monday.”
Salem found Cinder and walked over to her, keeping her voice in a low whisper. “You’re sure everything is going to be ready?”
Cinder nodded, walking out of the classroom and to the cafeteria. “Everything’s going just as planned. Although, from the looks of it, your plan is starting to go up in smoke.”
Salem sighed and watched as Team RWBY started joking around with a couple other teams. “The seeds of doubt are already planted in the girl. I just need to make sure they mature.”
“You’re losing time. Once the Vytal Festival starts-”
“I’m aware of how much time I have left,” snapped Salem. She kept an eye on Ruby, watching as she pulled out her scroll to show her team a few videos. “But I may need to shift my focus.”
“To what, exactly?”
Salem stopped for a moment in the hallway, letting a few more students pass and giving herself and Cinder a bit of room. “The General has a student around here that isnt a real person. Xanthic has hacked into her and has been gathering a bit of information. I think I can use her to get closer to Ruby.”
“And what do you need me to do?”
“After you plant that virus that Arthur has provided to you, I need you to make sure that Ruby and her team are not able to leave on a training mission.”
Cinder paused for a moment. “In any way I see fit?”
Salem continued walking off, keeping her tone dark. “Do not kill any of them.”

“I know what I saw.”
Ozpin sat down his mug, motioning for Glynda to sit. “And you’re sure it’s her?”
Glynda nodded, sitting down across from Ozpin. “Salem is here.”
Ozpin slowly took out the files he had on Sapphire Peony, running through them. “Then I need you to keep an eye on her. You will watch over them on whatever mission team SAAPO chooses to take for Monday.”
“Shouldnt we be a bit more concerned if she’s here? We need to act-”
“And what exactly are we supposed to do?” asked Ozpin, remaining calm. “This is Salem. She’s immortal and anything we do now will just accelerate whatever she has planned. All we can do is sit and wait to see what she’s planning.”
Glynda let out a sigh at Ozpin’s answer, trying to keep herself calm. “I think James might be right. This isnt a time for us to sit down and wait.”
“And tell me, Glynda, what do you propose we do to stop Salem?” Ozpin picked up his mug once more, taking a sip before standing up and heading over to the window of his office. “But I do suppose we need to take a few precautions and start by moving the maiden. No doubt if she’s here then her pawns are here as well.”
Glynda nodded and got up to leave Ozpin’s office. “I’ll let James know our decision. We’ll move Amber to Atlas.”
Ozpin stayed where he was, looking out over the school grounds. “What are you planning, Salem?”

I wonder what kind of team Salem- errr I mean Sapphire ends up with. Would be funny if Ozpin made her a team leader lmao
(Tagging @toysoldiers-rwby in a shameless plug since Im using a couple of their OCs to help fill out a team. Aurora and Ashley are the OCs, go read their fics, see their art, give them requests, they're good people.)
Salem, or rather Sapphire as she had been going by, watched Ozpin as she waited for her name to be called for her teammates. The longer she waited, the more idiotic she thought all of this was. Flinging students into a forest full of grimm? Making them hunt down “relics” (and chess pieces of all things) while giving the stipulation of partnering up with the first person anyone sees. Speaking of her partner…
Aurora Glade grinned and nudged Salem. “Well Sapphy, we should be hearing our names any time now.”
Salem groaned as she glared at the faunus she ended up partnering with. “I’m glad you’re having fun. This whole thing doesnt make any sense.”
“Finding those relics wasnt too bad, but you’re right, it was kinda boring.”
“Not exactly what I meant.” Salem watched as team RWBY was called up on stage, making sure to keep an eye on Ruby. She was a bit surprised to hear Ozpin call Ruby as a team leader, but on the other hand, it made sense for him to keep his next pawn close. Now if only she could get closer to her-
“Aurora Glade. Sitri Evergreen. Sapphire Peony. Ashley Xanthic. You all retrieved the black bishop pieces and will form team SAAP, led by Sitri Evergreen.” Ozpin looked over at the four, smiling at them. “Congratulations to you four on surviving the initiation.” He took a longer look at Sapphire, something feeling familiar about her.
Sitri stood frozen in fear at being named a team leader. She had never once led anything and wasnt entirely sure on how to even start. “W-well team, I guess we should start getting to know everyone else.”
“I’ll pass,” Aurora waved her off and started heading to get the dorm assignment. “If you need me, I’ll be at our dorm avoiding everyone.”
“But we really should get to know our classmates. It’s part of the rules-”
“And rules are for people who dont want to have fun. Like gravity.” The gravity dust in Aurora glowed a bit as she continued off, starting to use the walls to get away faster. “Good luck with the others!”
Sapphire rolled her eyes, turning her focus back to Ozpin. He had to be planning something. After Cinder failed to complete her task, he had been too silent for his usual pattern of retaliation. And with her new team, she just might be able to grab a few new allies to help her take down Ozma for the final time.
