so we all know about “who the hell is jordie?” “someone i trusted. someone i couldn’t afford to lose”, right, but what we forget is the significance of kaz calling jesper ‘jordie’. it’s not just that jesper is a brother to him- jordie was kaz’s protector. jordie was the 13 year old that protected kaz and who kaz protected, the goofy one who made him smile and bought him hot chocolate at night. he felt safe around him. he trusted jordie with his life. in calling jesper ‘jordie’, kaz shows that subconsciously, he trusts jesper to protect him, that he could turn to him should he need it. and every time he yells at jesper, the gambler who couldn’t stay out of the red, for losing another bet, getting in debt again, all he can see is that same thirteen-year-old boy, swindled out of everything he owned and left for dead on the street. with every word he yells at jesper, he silently urges him to stay alive. with every bet jesper makes, all kaz can think is “i can’t lose a brother. not again.”

A cute, random idea I had:
Kaz will do random things to make sure Jesper pays attention when he's explaining stuff (AKA because Jesper has ADHD energy lol.)
He'll spin a coin on the table repeatedly while telling him what he's supposed to do that night at the Club because Jes will get distracted by the table he's at otherwise.
He'll randomly do sleight of hand while he explains an intricate job- something where he makes, like, a pen disappear in one hand and then reappear prob- and do the trick over and over because he knows Jesper will literally stare at him the entire time if he does.
Sometimes he'll tap his cane against something or drum his fingers on it in a weird pattern so Jesper will look back at him when he starts to lose focus in busy places.
(He's ridiculously good at keeping him engaged at this point.)

butch bear || femme bear || butchfemme* bear
combo flags for butch, femme and butchfemme* bears! i suppose it is "geared towards" genderqueer/multigender/ect gaybians and sapphilleans, however these flags can be used by anyone who self identifies as butch/femme/butchfemme and as a bear this flag is for you :)
*when i say butchfemme i mean anyone who is butch and femme, whatever that means to the individual. the butchfemme i used in the title can be replaced with femmebutch, futch, or any other terms for this identity.

Nah coz you guys dont understand the level of excitement I felt seeing that brand spanking new doctor who opening. I started talking over the theme music trying to predict what was going to happen (yeah I'm that person) and then all of a sudden I realize that something truly magnificent is happening. My honest to God reaction was "WOAAAHH *pointing wildly at the screen*" and "WHAAAAT???? WHAT???? OH MY GOD!!!! *Pointing wildly at screen again* and "*inhuman shrieking*"
Yeah needless to say I didn't get very much predicting done. I was too enthralled with the tardis flying across the screen in HD.

1,400-Year-Old Treasure Stash Found Under Playground in China
Underneath the playground of a school in China, archaeologists uncovered ruins of a 1,400-year-old settlement that included dozens of storage pits and thousands of artifacts.
Archaeologists excavated the playground of an elementary school in the eastern coastal city of Ningbo ahead of planned construction, the Institute of Archaeology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences said in an Oct. 10 news release.
The excavations uncovered 65 pits, eight wells and several other structures all over 1,400 years old, the release said. Archaeologists identified the ruins as part of a settlement.
In one storage pit, archaeologists found 796 copper coins in tied-up stacks. A photo shows the stash of muddy coins with square holes in the center. In one of the wells, they unearthed 1,682 more coins.
Based on the number of coins and their style of burial, archaeologists concluded the treasures were buried as an emergency measure by residents who feared a disaster was coming, the release said. The age and location of the coins match — and might be linked to — a period of rebellion and famine in the sixth century A.D.
Archaeologists also found preserved plants in one of the pits. The plant remains included bamboo, gourds, peach pits and a large number of acorns. A photo shows what remains of these nuts.
The other pits and wells contained pottery fragments, tiles, altars, washbasins and other artifacts, archaeologists said. Two lamps, part of a bronze chandelier, were also uncovered, a photo shows.
The artifacts mainly date from the Han dynasty, a period from 206 B.C. to 220 A.D., and the Six Dynasties, a period from 220 A.D. to 589 A.D, according to the release and Encyclopedia Britannica.
Ningbo is in Zhejiang province and about 135 miles south of Shanghai.
