do you ever imagine what it would be like if instead of just dubbing and losing all the britishness in translation, what had happened with doctor who was national adaptations like they do with game shows like masterchef or whatever or uh skam thats a better comparison, and every country had their own series of doctors, all at different numbers like if the dutch show spinned off when the english was at 4 or smth but we just started with our own dutch doctor number 1

and maybe they'd like start off just sort of copying stories and localising them but then as time goes on these national spin offs would you know start building on their own lore and seasonal arcs that would get removed further and further from the british original until it's like 2024 and you've got 15 national doctor whos running somewhat simultaneously all in different seasons and all preoccupied with INCREDIBLY different stories

it'd be like 'whos your favourite doctor' and you'd be like uh the polish 3rd or the brazilian 12th it's a toss up. what if some countries go through doctors way faster and theyre like on doctor 44 and youre like WHAT are they DOING to them

and can you imagne the fucking CNAONS can yuo IMAGINE can you IMAGINE the FANDOM when SOMEone decided to make looms canon and all the losers come out of the woodwork to say well thats not REALLY canon bc it's not the british version. imagine the localisations, the reinforcements of every countrys national history. what would countries who have more history being colonised than colonising do with gallifrey. how would every Important PartTM of the show be transformed by the perspective of another team. what even are identified as the Important PartsTM of the show. maybe one country decides the tardis should change appearance every week. maybe one country is like we're just gonna put all the edas on television. the amount of OPINIONS can you imagine

i’m not 100% sure but i think the landoscar vid is from a norwegian show called “skam”? it was super popular here back then it was released, four seasons about different couples/ppl and the last one was about those cuties 🤭 agreed that the left guy is oscar!! something about his mouth reminded me of him? kinda?? 🥺

i’m a filmmaker and a linguist - i speak english, german, & french and i’m learning russian, spanish, dutch, & korean. i do a lot of film photography. i am an avid pinterest user and i reorganise my boards like every other day.

i like a lot of shit including nct, paul mescal, newsies, skam + it’s remakes, percy jackson, the hunger games, inhaler, asoiaf, outer banks, dark (2017), and sabrina carpenter. i'm also a film nerd in general.

Grace and Tommy from Peaky Blinders, they are my OTP, they would have been perfect to become the definition of a power couple if SK hadn't deprived them of that chance. I am currently working on a fanfiction about them.

Eliott and Lucas from Skam France, their presence shine through the whole series, and it's only because of them that season three became my favourite.

Aldo and Regan from Alone With You in the Ether, they made me understand how much more the world is than what I perceive and see of it, how much beauty there is in the little things, and that living with ourselves is the hardest and most beautiful task we could ever have in life.

Marc and Faythe from the Shifters book series, I loved how fiery they are, how passionate and unrestrained their love is, and how vibrant their chemistry is. I can't even blame them for their dump decisions. I'm currently re-reading the first book in the series.

anybody watch this yet? it's not geoblocked as far as i can tell in the us but you know no english subtitles. they aren't posting it on the old skam nl youtube but on the npo3 channel. i imagine the trailer was just posted on skam nl to promote it

the style has got me currently interested and this first clip wasn't too bad to follow without knowing dutch (but that will probably change).
