What is your Skamverse story?

2020.02.21 was the exact date I watched SKAM OG for the first time, started on Season 3 because I read on the internet that is was praised for its depiction of mental illness. I was mind-blown. And hooked. Immediately headed over to AO3 to find a treasure chest. Which I am still in the process of digging through, so many brilliant stories...

Why are you excited to participate in this year's Skam Big Bang?

I have been reading fanfictions for almost 20 years now, various fandoms. It always fascinated me that so many artists are sharing their stunning art to strangers with no financial gain, to me that is pure art at its very best, so rare nowadays. Specifically this fandom's works have kept me sane during the madness of the pandemic. When I saw opportunity to join the Big Bang team I jumped at it right away because I have been given so much by artists of this site, of this fandom, I wanted to give something back.

What would you say to someone who is feeling nervous about joining?

It depends on why they are feeling nervous. But generally: ask yourself two questions. What do you have to lose? Nothing at all. What do you have to gain? An opportunity to create in a community of kindred spirits who are there to help you and cheer you on, a work of your own that you can be proud of, published to an army of enthusiasts hungry for your art.
