sick about the skam remakes again...like i just want to be in a world where og skam had 6 seasons and then ended perfectly...eva for s1, noora for s2, isak for s3, sana for s4 (but Properly), vilde for s5, and jonas mahdi or magnus for the last season

people wanting skamfr to end already like, it's not that long and it has a lot to be told
have you ever heard about malhação? 🫢
it can be good, or not, like any other show out there. and it's not just a remake anymore, I think that's interesting...somehow.

Skam OG Spoilers ahead but i could write an entire essay on how disappointing season 3 was-
I genuinely cannot believe that Skam gave us the absolute art, the total poetry in motion that was season 2 and then followed it up with season 3 and expected me to have the same investment in this toxic, weird storyline that I did with Noora and William. Like you gave me Misunderstood Bad Boy Is Actually An Angel Who Just Wants To Be Loved and then you follow it up with Closeted Boy Falls In Love With First Man He Sees Despite That Man Being The Literal Worst?
Like at what point was I supposed to like Even as a character? All he did the entire season was cheat on his girlfriend and act like a dick with zero remorse. And then the big reveal moment for his behavior is that he's bipolar? Maybe I'm just too old to be watching these shows now or maybe the show didn't age well but honestly the trope of Mentally Ill Person Repeatedly Acts Like A Dickhead And Then Reveals Their Illness And Now Everything Is Okay is so lame to me. Have we not moved past that as a society? idk. At the very least they did have the scene where Magnus attempted to normalize the disorder, which was nice.
Anyway that's not the point. The point is Even had absolutely zero redeeming traits as a character. He cheated on his girlfriend, ignored everyone around him, played with Isak's emotions, and acted overall like an ass the entire time. I rolled my eyes through the whole "you're the man of my dreams" scene. What exactly did he do? Make out with you once in a pool and then leave you alone in bed? That makes him the man of your dreams? What. There was no chemistry at all between them. Just Isak staring like a deer in headlights while Even licked his lips.
Also maybe this is just me projecting but the whole Literal Child Meets Mentally Ill Person And Decides To Love Them And Now Mentally Ill Person Is Magically Fixed thing is also gross in my opinion. Like the way Even said "my mom wants me to come home but I'm going to stay here with you even though I know I'm not well" or when Isak said "It's my job to monitor you and make sure you're okay now" .... What? Y'all are children, you shouldn't be navigating this shit on your own. (again maybe I'm too old for this show lol) if I'm being honest the whole conversation Isak has with Eva at the christmas party just reminded me of my own abusive relationship and the way both of us used to describe our relationship to make it seem less disgusting than what it was. It was like the same excuses I used to make and it made my skin crawl.
Also, fully separate issue, but Noora coming home?? I’m sorry. After all the shit that happened in s2, how desperately William wanted to be with her, how absolutely in love they were, and I’m expected to believe that my angel baby moved her to London and then just decided that work and his absentee father were more important? In what world?

My favorite extras, and what I’ve named them in my head+why:
First, my favorite extra, Johan:
Tumblr media
My first post about Johan. His backstory that me and Little Z made up.
Karl:
Tumblr media
Idk he just looked like a Karl to me.
Felix and Alma:
Tumblr media
Again, idk I just started calling them that for some reason.
Isak:
Tumblr media
He reminded me of Isak from SKAM
Matilda:
Tumblr media
She has a bob and so does Matilda.
Lovisa:
Tumblr media
She looks chill and I've never met an un-chill Lovisa in my life.
Engla:
Tumblr media
I was imagining her as the face of Engla when I wrote Simon Eriksson: Just Some Guy From Biology.
I hope you have enjoyed this thoroughly unhinged post as we await season three. 💜

Visual Effects in Only Friends MV part 2
The second song on the Only Friends OST dropped today; So What? by the amazing Ford Arun. Much like the first MV for Only Friends, this one is also has visual frameworks that made me stop and stare.
youtube
Just like my first post on this subject, where I talked about the late 90s/early 00s aesthetic of the show as well as controlled voyeurism (aka we only see what they want us to see), these themes show up again here, but a little differently. Unlike the Let's Try MV and the BTS vids which use multiple different effects and transitions as well as framing a lot of the scenes to look like (possibly) 90s camcorder footage, So What? has two visual effects (I think technically three, and I'll point out why I say it this way in a minute).
The first one is the camcorder footage effect. Except that it's even different from the Let's Try MV. While the Let's Try MV has the "play" prompt onscreen and time stamps, it now, to me, feels more like CCTV video than camcorder video. The video effect on So What? is definitely camcorder footage because it is time and date stamped.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, the time and date stamp is February 1st, 2020 at 6:06pm for every screen it appears on, which to me cannot be an accurate date/time for any of the scenes. Several of these scenes were from episodes 4, 5, 6, or potentially yet to air. Chuem drops info about Covid in episode one and in February of 2020, we were so early into the pandemic during that time that I'm not sure she would have referred to it so casually, plus with no Covid precautions being taken onscreen it does feel the show is set currently (aka 2023).
Why this date? Why 6:06pm? WHAT IS JOJO TRYING TO SAY HERE? Is this a specific reference to something upcoming on the show? Is this date famous in Thailand for something? Did he just pull a date and time out of a hat?
Onto the second effect: the yellow text on the screen is back! It was heavily used as a visual effect in episode one, and after a discussion with @ignoranaxed I did add it to my Narrative Frameworks post where I'm tracking visual effects on the show. We discussed whether or not this was an homage or reference to SKAM Norway, an extremely popular coming of age teen drama that had an amazingly done queer season (Season three. If nothing else, stop what you're doing and go watch SKAM Norway season three. You can thank me later). The show was so popular it has been remade in Spain, Italy, France, Germany (named Druck), Belgium (named WtFock), the United States and has even been announced as a Korean (BL?) drama for next year.
Tumblr media
Is this an actual homage? I came down on the side of maybe. I can't swear it is, but I can't say it isn't. That yellow text on the screen is iconic due to SKAM Norway, and it is used in every single remake of the show (if Korea doesn't use it, I will cry. Also, if Korea doesn't release/air it in the same way, I will cry). Leaving that aside, the yellow text is in Thai, and as yet, I have no idea what it says because my subs only translated the song lyrics, not the onscreen words. If anyone who knows Thai can help me with this, I would love you forever because there's one other thing that shows up in yellow on the screen, and it's this:
Tumblr media
WHY AN ELLIPSES, JOJO? WHAT DID IT SAY BEFORE THIS? I NEED TO KNOW WHY IT'S TRAILING OFF. IS IT TO BE CONTINUED? THE NOT KNOWING WILL DRIVE ME INSANE.
Onto the third , but maybe not really an effect: Is Ford photoshopped in here?
Tumblr media
I ask this because if he is (and I can't quite tell but I think maybe?) then does that mean this is future footage coming up on the show? Or, like Let's Try MV did with it's extra SandRay footage in the car, was this just shot for the MV? I'm curious to see what people think on this.
Now for the rest of the MV where I just melt down because WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS DRAMA BETWEEN YO AND PLUG, JOJO? YOU CAN'T DO THIS. Also, is this Sand hugging Yo?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can't do this to my girl. This will hurt.
Do we think this is Boston and Nick potentially going ice skating or roller skating? Because if it's roller skating, JOJO I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER.
Tumblr media
In summary, the visual frameworks are back in play once again and what they're choosing to show and how feel important.

a list of my comfort shows:
fleabag - phoebe waller bridge, i want to be you when i grow up. The writing, the acting, the comedic beats, need I say more. I could analyse this show for forever and still wouldn't get bored. The juxtaposition of fleabag and her deflection through comedy with her grief is so poignant, it always makes me feel all the Feelings™️
normal people - genuinely the most perfect book to tv show adaptation i have ever seen. usually, the book or the show is better but in this case, the book and the show add to their respective counterparts, its crazy. also, the acting by daisy edgar jones and paul mescall is so well done. I have watched normal people so many times that i literally watch the show on shuffle. my thought process: "hmm today feels like an episode 8 type of day"
leverage - everyone go watch that show rn, its so fucking good, every single season slaps. are you aware of how rare that is?? and the fact that this show aired on television while actively criticising every major organisation is insane. i genuinely believe that if i hadn't already been radicalised, just from looking at the world around me, this show would have pushed me over the edge. i love my criminal found family. the depth and nuance to all their relationships but also how campy and fun the show is makes for such a fun watching experience. i have such a good time every time i watch because, let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good heist.
teen wolf - but especially season 3. the downside of making season three such Good television is that it ruins the rest of the series. nothing else after or before season three of teen wolf can live up to the standard set by season three. also, dylan o'brien in season three? man really brought out the big guns, and I love that for him
skam - literally any version, i have watched each remake so many times. this show drives me nuts, when i fall into a skam phase, i fall deep. it happens like once every two years, and for like 2 months straight, i don't watch anything but skam. i don't know why i like skam so much, it just makes me feel so comforted.
veronica mars - does kristen bell age? I mean, she looks the same in veronica mars and the good place. anyways, veronica mars. it is everything riverdale wished it could be. it's one of the only shows i've seen that, while catering to a teenage and young adult audience, doesn't talk down to their audience. and i love that while there's the overarching narrative, it's also a procedural so every episode is different. means that you can just pick and episode and watch it. it also means that some episodes let the teenage characters actually be teenagers (ahem, unlike every other teen drama show)
anne with an e - anne with an e just makes me want to enjoy my life. especially the mundane, quiet, small moments that i otherwise don't think about. anne shirley cuthbert is such a vivid character, i almost always watch a couple episodes of awae when i'm sick. probably because i first watched it when i was sick. the show, while not all happy go lucky, makes me feel like i’m getting the media equivalent of a warm hug.
arrow - but only season 1, 2 and 3. sometimes i just want to watch something that really doesn't require you to pay attention. maybe i’ve just finished exams and my mental bandwidth is like, -1, in which case i only have the energy for something like arrow. there’s nothing more to it than what’s being told to you on screen and sometimes that’s all you need (or all you can handle)
shameless - i don't know why this dysfunctional family brings me such comfort but it does. i just love watching the family dynamic. clearly. looking over this list, i am realising that found family is exactly what i look for in everything i watch. watching the effects that every character has on each other is so interesting but the shows also just so funny? i mean come on, there’s no other show that does recaps as well as shameless does. also, the best enemies to lovers arc ever executed on screen? ian gallagher and mickey milkovich, hands down. for a show that’s so coarse, they gave these two such a heart warming arc.
the OA - i am so jealous of britt marling's mind. she's a genius. the tone of the OA is so different to anything else i have watched, it’s so refreshing. the only show that i feel maybe has a similar tone is mr robot, but while mr robot has you constantly on edge and wary of everything that’s happening on screen, the OA is calming. the chinese box narrative structure is done so organically and so kindly (?? it’s the only word i can think of that fits) you can’t help but feel for the characters, no matter how much of an asshole the character is. in fact, this show might have actually changed my mind on a whole lot of things regarding how we treat others. again, the found family aspect is present, front and centre. then there's the romance between OA and Homer. it is so pure. I can't even articulate my feelings about this show, it's so mind bendingly good

#22 Heartstopper
Plot: Nick and Charlie get placed together at form in school and immediately - sparks. Charlie's unsure if Nick likes him back, or even if he's non-straight. Nick on the other hand, get very confused about these new feelings. Meeting, falling in love and being out turns out to be more complicated than they could've ever imagined. But it's the love story of the century and together with supportive friends and family they can overcome anything. We also get to follow their friends and family in their own endeavours, like the relationships between Tao and Elle and Tara and Darcy as well as Isaac's ace-journey.
Years: 2022-
Seasons: 2 (season three arriving in 2024)
My story: There's so much to say here, but I'll try to keep it short. I discovered Heartstopper shortly after the first season had arrived to Netflix. It fast became one of my favourites and led to a few rewatches over the first year. But I didn't move further into the fandom just yet. When season 2 dropped I'd been longing for it all summer. I'd had a rough year with chaos at work combined with both my grandfathers passing away within two months. I'd been keeping myself distracted with travelling all summer, but then suddenly there were no distractions left. My mental health spiraled. The only thing that kept me afloat was Heartstopper. I watched all episodes everyday for about two months. I read the comics over and over. I went deep into the Osemanverse and I read books, which I normally never do. I got into tumblr. All of it kind of became my saving. And I owe it all to Alice Oseman.
Teachable moments: For me Heartstopper teaches us primarily about how love is always just love, in whichever form it comes in. Wheither it's platonic, romantic or other types of love, wheither it's the love you feel for your partner or the love you feel for friends and family - they're all valid and important.
Best character: Even though I love them all, I've always had a soft spot for Charlie. There's so many layers of him and I am really looking forward to how the rest of his journey will be portrayed on screen. He has the biggest heart and is so much stronger than he thinks.
Best episode: "Boyfriend" (S1E8). I love how this episode start at the deep end and ends on a high note. Nick's speach and their kiss in the corridor together with the beach trip just makes this perfect. A big runner up is "Truth/Dare" (S2E6), not the least for Tara and Darcy's story and growth.
Best quote: "I think there's this idea that when you're not straight you have to tell all your friends and family immediately, like you owe it to them. But you don't." (Charlie to Nick) This line has really helped me in my own journey about sexuality/attractions.
Fun fact: It'd be hard to find a fun fact that the Heartstopper fandom didn't already know (even though it might be true for all the series in this calendar). But for the not so initiated it'd be fun to know that Joe Locke, who plays Charlie, got the role through an open audition and this is his first time acting professionally. In 2024 he'll be both in a new Marvel series (which, in a parallel universe is quite funny since Charlie doesn't like Marvel) and do his Broadway debut in Sweeny Todd.
If you like this you might also like: Young Royals, Skins, Tales of the City, Skam and Atypical.
Tumblr media
(Heartstopper is the adaptation of Alice Oseman's webcomic and books. Volume 5 was just released and volume 6 will be the last one. The webcomic is normally released three times a month, but will now be on a hiatus for about six months, until Alice have some volume 6 stuff to share. Also check out the novellas Nick and Charlie and This winter as well as Alice's novels Solitaire (where the story about Nick and Charlie started), Radio Silence, I was born for this and Loveless. She has also written and created the Netflix series.)

Tarjei talks about Furia, Skam and student life in new Dagbladet article.
Google translation of the article:
"- Weird to talk about
Tarjei Sandvik Moe is back after deprioritizing acting for the past three years.
Tumblr media
SOON ON THE SCREEN: Tarjei Sandvik Moe will soon be seen in a new season of the thriller series "Furia". Photo: Heiko Junge / NTB
Actor Tarjei Sandvik Moe (24) achieved international smash success with the youth series "Skam" in 2015. NRK's series third season dealt with Sandvik Moe's character, the high school student Isak, and his path towards accepting himself as gay.
The series won many awards, and the 24-year-old was, among other things, nominated for best male actor during "Gullruten" in 2017. He did not go home empty-handed, and walked away with the audience award together with "Skam" colleague Henrik Holm (28).
Tumblr media
AWARD WON: Henrik Holm and Tarjei Sandvik Moe received an award during the Gullruten in 2017. Photo: Marit Hommedal / NTB
Since then, the actor has taken part in a number of productions, including "Tainted(Skitten snø)", "Possession(Forbannelsen)" and "An affair(En affære)".
New role
On the top floor of the Munch Museum is a bar with large windows that fill the room with sunlight.
At a table, Dagbladet is waiting for the actor on the occasion of the press day for season two of the thriller series "Furia".
Tumblr media
AROUND EUROPE: The series has been recorded in several locations in Europe. Tarjei Sandvik Moe has the role of political adviser. Photo: Prime Video
Sandvik Moe comes walking with a big smile on his face before extending his hand and saying hello. He takes his place opposite Dagbladet.
In season two of the Prime series, Sandvik Moe plays a political adviser. It meant a new world to get into.
- How do you prepare for such a role?
- I try to think about what kind of energy and rhythm he should bring to the scenes. How to carry my body, carry my voice, my hands. How does he walk? And learn the lines so that they sit well in your mouth, and try to understand what is at stake. And then come to the recording, listen, be present and have fun.
- Crazy
The days of filming offered a lot of action, and there is one scene in particular that the actor remembers particularly well.
- There was a scene that we recorded here in Oslo, out in the city. Then I would run. The camera operator filmed this with roller skates on. At full speed backwards on roller skates! I thought that was very cool, says the 24-year-old with great enthusiasm.
The main roles in the series are played by ring foxes Ine Marie Wilmann (39) and Pål Sverre Hagen (43). Sandvik Moe was disappointed when he read the script and realized that he would spend little time working with the latter.
- What I think was a bit weird is that Pål Sverre plays in this series, and he is an actor I think is incredibly talented, but I don't have any scenes with him. Our characters have nothing to do with each other, explains the actor.
- I got to meet him a bit on set. But I've met him before. We were counter-nominated once on Gullruten, and then of course he won. No big surprise. But then I talked to him a bit in Bergen many years ago. So it was the great sadness that they couldn't find a way to make our characters meet.
Tumblr media
2017: Pål Sverre Hagen and Tarjei Sandvik Moe during the Gullruten seven years ago. Photo: Gorm Kallestad / NTB
- Hard to say
"Furia" is one of many productions the star has taken part in since we met him as Isak in "Skam" almost ten years ago.
- How do you think "Skam" has influenced your career?
- No idea. It is hard to say. I have been privileged in the way that I have been able to do a lot of acting work, and I hope that I would have been able to do it anyway. I have had an intention long before that, and knew that I was passionate about performing arts and film, and I have a strong drive to keep at it. That is what I think is the most important thing for me. I am passionate about what I do.
Tumblr media
MET THE PRINCESS: Tarjei Sandvik Moe with Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Kate during a visit to Hartvig Nissen's school in Oslo, known as the "Shame" school. Photo: Terje Pedersen / NTB
Sandvik Moe is nevertheless open to the fact that NRK's success may have opened doors for him.
- So I won't be naive either, it was certainly an advantage that I got a TV role when I was young. But I'm me anyway. It's weird to talk about alternate realities. What if you were born in another part of the world? I relate to the reality that is here, says the actor with a smile.
About student life: - Absolutely wonderful
Although the 24-year-old has already managed to build up an impressive acting CV, it has been important for Sandvik Moe to study. He is currently a student at the Norwegian Film School in Lillehammer.
- Now I'm studying film in my final year and I think it's absolutely wonderful. So I appreciate the reality I am allowed to be a part of. Then all the other realities get to live their own lives.
- How do you combine study assignments, a social life and intense recording around Europe with "Furia"?
- I have done much smaller plays in the last three years, because I have lived in Lillehammer and studied film scripts. I have prioritized it, because it has been important for me to study there. So I did this a bit at the same time, he explains.
- It was stressful, but it went well!"

In depth wtFOCK Season Three Thoughts (Part 2 Through the Seasons Review)
The other girl (Noor) storyline was questionable. (Having it take 3 episodes before Sander is introduced was a choice).
-and it's not like I'm closed off to changes, but I feel like they still could've introduced Sander in a different way without taking a 3rd of the season to do so (but I do like the little Where's Waldo of Sander in background scenes)
-I really thought there would be more significance/fallout to the Robbe-Noor graffiti. (I get it shows she's artistic like Sander, but) I thought that scene would contribute more to the entire storyline rather than just Robbe/Sander (first sighting).
I get the intended Robbe internalized homophobia. I don't hate it; should be interesting what changes it brings in the story. This is a much darker feel than the other evaks where "Isak" is concerned.
-the little things like the music he listens to as he walks up to his friends gives me the perception that he's always performing;
-and how his voice changes from when he's talking with the boys to when he answers a call from his mom
I'm a bit upset we didn't see more Robbe-Yasmina moments (he didn't leave the weed with her in this version, which is fine). [I know they spent some time during summer doing retakes, but I needed to see the friendship development or some bigger moments between them].
A change I like is that the season doesn't start off with "Isak" automatically living with "Eskild" (Milan).
Forgot to say this with the other seasons-this Skam might have the best cinematography and clear direction-but this season it's heightened
Love, love the apartment crew with Milan, Zoe, Senne, and Robbe!
Top tier first meet scene
-also grocery shopping was a nice change (plus music choices are great this version)
This "Isak" has some guilt immediately after during what would be the morning after the pool kiss scene; also it's kind of a change I like due to the obvious direction with the music suddenly coming to a halt as he blocks Sander.
Actually the use of Bowie in scenes is chilling (and RUDE-the Robbe-Noor sex scene); it's a good storytelling choice.
I like the changes, but the pacing and lack of a resolution with talking things out/really addressing things make them generally unimpactful so far [Robbe internalized homophobia (& projected homophobia)]
-I actually feel like Noor could've been used more strategically to display the intensified shutting out of his sexuality had they taken the time to properly flesh them out (it definitely showed), but again the pacing, because in some ways I think they needed deeper scenes to develop them, but I wouldn't want too much time dedicated to them that would ultimately take away from the actual love story of the season.
The reimagined convo with Milan worked, because their relationship is different here and it would've been unrealistic had they copied the og dialogue verbatim; also I'm glad they didn't have a copy and paste of "Isak" talking about how he couldn't be "gay" in the world while offending "Eskild"-the advice was a nice change and good the convo didn't end on a bad note.
-edit: I spoke too soon on the offending part. hurts (every time). [also: Milan's "maybe you should look at yourself" and then the clip ends with Robbe looking in the mirror. ok wtFOCK direction]
Glad Robbe broke up with Noor before things got even more complicated and it was actually a pretty well received exchange [up until her obvious shouting in the club scene] compared to other versions in which she gets immediately angry and the "Isaks" don't really break up with her properly face-to-face.
Again with the lack of resolution-srry, but there was no point to the attack in the street on Robbe & Sander. On one hand, it could be useful to be informative, having a purpose in the plot of the season, but it was barely talked about in the aftermath or hinted at being deeper addressed later. I kind of feel like they are just trying to tackle too much with this and there's just not enough time to really address it in an already storyline heavy season. The only good thing that came from it was how caring the apartment crew showed to be w/Zoe, Senne, & Milan (but that's not a shock).
(Skam season with the most trigger warnings award goes to).
I do think the coming out scene to Jens was cute. Very different version with the best friend having a non-reaction that just makes sense with him
May I shove Robbe's friends (minus Jens) into the pool that Robbe & Sander made out in. (God, they are painful to watch)
I like how Sander's manic episode was filmed. It was very pov heavy from Robbe's perspective with flashes of Sander and I feel like the characteristics were a bit different to what you normally see in tv all the time, even by Skam standards, which I found refreshing.
I really don't get why the change of Sander and his gf only dating 6 months if they were still going to have her overstep and be so controlling. It feels unbelievable that his mom and Robbe's friends (Zoe, Jana..) are so receptive to her knowledge on Sander and his illness. And I hate that they're all being so dramatic about Sander's abilities.
They actually resolved things pretty nicely in the last ep-his friends, Sander, Noor (and the additions with his dad the whole season were really sweet; minor note: his poor dad tho when Robbe suddenly left the restaurant with no explanation).
All in all: this season is great in terms of acting, chemistry, production, and direction. However the writing is pretty awful; aside from the obvious missteps, the season messes up when they make changes and fail to follow through (almost undoing the change in the first place) by rerouting back to the original and doing the same just at a different timestamp (It's frustrating to watch and I do really wish they would just commit to those choices, while handling topics with care; I think I would have a very different opinion on the overall season and how it fares next to other remakes in the long run). I suppose, overall that wtFOCK is fun, even with some wrong choices, though the story suffers with a lack of cohesiveness, development sometimes, or focus on what's important (that sounds like everything that matters, lol, but it was enjoyable).

hi! idk if someone asked this already but who are your top skam couples :o
someone has not! there are three i feel particularly attached to though
incantava / i feel aaaaabsolutely crazy about these two. in my opinion they're the best couple out of every single skam adaptation combined. skam italia in general was a series which while it had a lot of issues somehow managed to strike gold with the execution of its version of noorhelm and i like to think giancarlo and bernadetta were instrumental to that. like giancarlo himself said “edoardo and eleonora are very mature characters. their relationship is mature. they dialogue with one other. there hasn’t been a love scene so far, precisely, to celebrate their relationship, their union. there’s love, maturity and so much respect" and i don't think any other pair of noorhelm actors ever verbalized that about their characters. noorhelm's narrative is a difficult one to execute without the wilhelm character looking like a piece of shit even if only briefly but there were these tiny nuances skam italia added bc there was so much emphasis on edoardo's respect for and reverence of eleonora even when he was upset with her. he's the only wilhelm who apologizes to eleonora for what happened to her before the grand reunion kiss and if memory serves the only one who actually dialogues with her at all when she's trying to win him back rather than him simply walking away without a word. it's that emphasis on dialogue between them that constantly drew me in and made me feel like i was watching a relationship between two people who actually grew with each other
zoenne / the only other noorhelm i truly grew to love! albeit for slightly different reasons. where the maturity within incantava's relationship was focused in their dialogue with each other i think zoenne's maturity was focused in their accountability to each other. esp senne's accountability to zoe. every wilhelm tends to think with his heart before his head but beyond the gang fight incident there's not much they actually have to be accountable for and they still tend to come off a bit dickheaded. senne is someone who to me came off less so. similarly to edoardo (and alejandro albeit i'm not as attached to norandro personally) you could tell senne really listened to what zoe had to say and internalized it and acted upon it. so when he recognized what his brother had done to her it wasn't only about saying sorry but also about supporting her to file a case against him with the police. when he lived with zoe it wasn't only about living there for her but also about demonstrating a presence and compassion for her roommates and their problems as much as her own. when zoe broke up with him bc he pushed her too hard to fight the case it wasn't only about missing her but also about recognizing what his support of her actually needed to look like. he genuinely grew as a person rather than remaining stagnant and isn't that poignant considering what he pointed out about humans and their tendency to evolve at the end of season one? i realize i haven't talked as much about zoe here but ofc her holding him accountable to all of these things and standards of a relationship was what made them compelling to watch together. they were a great exercise in conflict resolution so despite there being road bumps those road bumps were undeniably worthwhile
virugo / almost every version of vilde and magnus is literally terrible. like some versions of skam do manage to do good by their noora and vilde's relationship with each other so you don't feel supremely peeved but maybe mildly annoyed by the fact that vilde ends up with a complete dunce who simply happened to crush on her long enough to where she could reciprocate when she got over wilhelm. but skam españa which fortunately happens to be probably the most healthy depiction of skam dynamics as a whole (next to druck) decides to actually do something with its vilde and magnus dynamic bc it makes the genius decision to instate viri as a main character. so you get to see in detail why and how viri has developed all of these insecurities and why she's so desperate to be recognized and loved and then on top of it we get to see how hugo in turn is that person who sees her and recognizes all that she does for everyone and who loves who she is beneath all of the glamour. like it's so simple and sweet and endearing and when she's telling the girls about how he makes her happy and his jokes are like paracetamol and he loves fish it literally makes me want to cry.. i love it when two people are the only ones to see each other in a room it's so good it's so achey

Hello dear lgbtqs and other associates, I'm gonna live blog GAP the series episode one. Here we go.
There are Thai captions!!! And that’s Ayan’s mom!
What does GAP stand for? My guess is Girls Are Pretty. I’m wearing fleece on fleece and fluffy socks I snatched from the laundry basket, I’m sure this episode will not make me self-conscious about my appearance haha.
A bit confused by the tilted camera angle. Does it accentuate Mon’s quirky personality? Or does she suffer from vertigo? Maybe we’ll find out!
Not even five minutes in and something lgbt is happening in Mon’s head, love her already!
I don’t know these men.
You’re in her dms, I’m in the shrine I’ve built for her over the past twelve years. A bit intense but I post fanfiction on the internet so I’d never judge a girl Daydreaming about Scenarios.
I sort of wish Sam were an assassin or a mafia overlord, I’d find it easier to excuse than being a toxic boss in a regular office.
Girl boss has arrived!!
I am sensing trauma around rules and broken trust.
Heels are a health hazard.
Mon is mentally stronger than me because if my first day at work had gone anything like that I’d be in the bathroom crying.
Mon’s family is cute! But what is this camera angle.
This is not the grandmacore I enjoy.
Finally a 30-year-old in my tv show!!
Okay, another arranged marriage.
I would rank this as the third most uncomfortable homophobic family dinner I’ve seen on Thai television this year after the corpse mushrooms in Khun chai and the celebratory mental breakdown in 180 degree longitude.
Do teenagers these days even look at web pages?
Sam in this outfit, wow. I am looking respectfully.
Go Mon, speak your truth!!! I like that she’s not a pushover by any means.
I love their tension! This bathroom scene reminds me of the iconic did you also want paper towels from Skam season three episode one Friday clip.
Are we gonna get a romantic feeding scene later, I think so.
I love this trope.
A promising first episode!! Some expository dialogue and odd camera angles but an overall fun experience. More of this please.
