Finished my 5th rewatch of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and I still adore it with all my heart. I cried again as well.

I’m so frustrated and heartbroken that we’re not getting a second season. Everyday I pray that it’ll get picked up by another network or get a book/comic sequel but that seems more unlikely with each passing day. I love this show and I’d say it’s in my top 3 favorite shows of all time.

It’s beautiful, fun, and has great characters. I’ll always revisit AoR if I need something fun to watch. I just wish we’d get to see the rest of the story.

Sooo I recently made a series of illustrations for my headcanon about skekGra's exile

In short, he used to be extra successful because of his conquest campaigns, he also was admired by his brethren. And had good relationship with the Emperor himself /why wouldn't he, after all he was enlarging the Empire/.

Now, taking urdrupes was a hedonistic Skeksis ritual back then. Which SkekGra did, after that he started having his /shared with urGoh/ visions. He started questioning things. SkekZok, being in charge of the urdrupes ritual, couldn't not notice it. Of that he told skekVar, who randomly walked in once /they already were political allies/. And Var... firstly, was always jealous of Gra. Secondly, saw his duty to tell the Emperor immediately, since these heresy talks are basically a treason.

Then Gra spoke his mind in front of everyone and happened what happened.

SkekSyn never understood SkekVars short temper and his quiet strange decisions to eat ceiling decorations. Either way. The general believes, as well, that the monarch is SkekSo without his memory. He doesn't know that SkekSyn is a clone, but believes that he is SkekSo, because he got told so. Not much in his pea-brain after all! So it's always a funny concept that he tries to bond with SkekSyn in the strangest ways possible.
