On the last day, I indulged in a pleasant afternoon with Vincent van Gogh, freeing my hand from Mucha's over-detailed grasp, Chełmoński's overbearing nostalgia, Okuń's frickin awesome dragons, Orlik's fixation on Japan, Klimt's confusing gold texturing, and Wyspiański's readiness to hit me with a damn arrow.

Vincent van Gogh, a Dutch post-impressionist, is one of the most recognizable artists. But, sadly, his life was full of bitterness, poverty, and mental unrest. 'Loving Vincent' presented van Gogh's story in the form of an animated movie made of 65.000 oil paintings imitating his iconic style. A great tribute and an experience worth recommending. 

Van Gogh sold only one painting during his artistic career for about $1000 in today's terms. In contrast, 'Portrait of Dr. Gachet' was sold for an outstanding $163.4 (adjusted price in million USD). Vincent owes his posthumous fame to his brother's wife, Jo van Gogh-Bonger. She cared for Vincent's legacy, successfully raising his profile as an artist.
