Focus the spotlight on what matters most. Eliminate distractions with clean axes, labels, and legends tailored to the story you want to tell. Guide the viewer's eyes towards revelations, not footnotes.

Minangkabau Untuk Indonesia Tanpa mengecilkan dukungan dan sokongan beragam suku bangsa yang kemudian membentuk Indonesia hingga kini, agaknya kita perlu sebuah apresiasi yang tinggi bagi tanah Minangkabau atas kontribusinya sebagai modal pergerakan bangsa. Sejak dahulu saya penasaran kenapa banyak tokoh pergerakan dan bahkan 4 serangkai pembentuk Republik yang disusun oleh Tempo dalam Serial Bapak Bangsa, 3 tokohnya berasal dari tanah Minangkabau, sebut saja Tan Malaka, Sutan Sjahrir, dan Mohammad Hatta. Ketiganya mewakili ideologi yang berbeda, namun memperkaya bagaimana bangsa ini dibentuk. Belum lagi ada Mohammad Yamin dan KH. Agus Salim yang punya nama asli: Masyhudul Haq. Tidak cukup disitu, ada pula tokoh mosi integral yang melahirkan NKRI setelah KMB, dialah Natsir. Di abad 19 akhir bahkan salah satu imam dan guru di Masjidil Haram adalah tokoh ulama besar asal Minangkabau, Syeikh Ahmad Khatib Al Minangkabawi yang kemudian memiliki murid yang menjadi pendiri 3 gerakan dakwah besar di Nusantara: Nahdatul Ulama: KH. Hasyim Asyhari, Muhammadiyah: KH. Ahmad Dahlan, dan Sulaiman Ar Rasuli pendiri Persatuan Tarbiyah Indonesia. Bagaimana tanah di tengah pegunungan Barisan di pesisir Barat Sumatera ini bisa jadi "power house" yang menelurkan tokoh pembaharuan di zamannya? Maka jika menelisik di banyak literatur dan bahkan sejarah dunia pers Minangkabau agaknya pengaruh semangat pan-Islamisme (mengacu pada definisi dari Anthony Reid) yang kemudian mempengaruhi gerakan Padri, interfensi dan modernisasi ala Eropa yang di bawa oleh kolonial Belanda telah mampu memberi inspirasi yang tumbuh deras bersama budaya yang kuat dipegang teguh (salah satunya budaya rantau), telah membawa orang-orang Minangkabau lebih egaliter, terbuka dan progresif. Sementara tanah Jawa di sekitar abad 19, sebelum dan pasca Perang Diponegoro masih dilingkupi feodalisme dan takzim di bawah kekuasaan bangsawan dan kaum ningratnya yang tak sedikit justru kerap menggunting di dalam lipatan bersaing pengaruh satu sama lain hingga dimanfaatkan oleh pemerintah Hindia Belanda yang memusatkan pengaruh politiknya yang saling bersilangan. #sejarah #history #book #sketchnotes #coretanrifki https://www.instagram.com/p/CpZhmNZrP77/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
