Yuna and Skew take a stroll through an Arcwood forest.
Arcwood trees thrive in the Negen sphere of the Absence. The frigid air crackles with static, and the trees harness this electricity to stimulate their roots and trunks to attract and draw in stardust from both the air and from beneath the surface.
Glintbulbs are small stalks with bulbs of thick, solid ice at their tops. Stray stardust falls upon these bulbs and slowly melts into them, eventually finding their way to the stalk itself to feed the plant proper. The amount of stardust flakes in the bulbs is usually sparse, so most critters don't see these as viable sources of sustenance, but they do make a tasty snack to lick on for a few hours.

if anyone wasn't here in the old demo talk days and is wondering wtf I mean by "skew", it basically reduces to "percentage of audience actually in target demographic." The higher, the better. these days shows average around 16-18, but CW dropped so far walker was at 14 and Windy 11.
So for an example of how this works, on monday, AA premiered at 0.13, the highest 18-49 on the network, even though it only had about 400K audience. This is because it has an insanely good skew of 38%, amazingly high, most people are in demo. So even though Windy had like 200K more viewers than AA, its 18-49 was only 0.05, because only 11% of viewers were in demo.
So when I say fast nationals gave us a 17% skew with nearly identical audience to walker, the invariable result is that that audience will have more 18-49 presence and value, by about 4% of their audiences, which will total to several decimals higher, just because, like, that's how math works.
they're just shaking out final numbers still but. this is sorta a. the more you know post.

Bitcoin's Trend Remains Uncertain as Resistance Proves Difficult to Break
Bitcoin Struggles to Break Resistance, Uncertain Trend Ahead
Bitcoin's market dynamics are currently under scrutiny, with several attempts to break above high-timeframe (HTF) resistance proving unsuccessful. The cryptocurrency has been unable to maintain its position above the Point of Control (POC), indicating a challenging market phase.
Despite an upward trend in the 4-hour EMAs, Bitcoin faces pivotal resistance around $47,000 to $48,000. Bitcoin's recent price action suggests potential early distribution stages, with significant selling at higher levels.
Skew, a cryptocurrency trader and analyst, shared insights into Bitcoin's recent market movements, indicating that the market is witnessing clear signs of absorption around the $47K to $48K range, hinting at the early stages of distribution. However, the overall market structure and trend remain intact.
Bitcoin has displayed a marginal downturn in its price, currently standing at $45,920, representing a period of uncertainty where bearish and bullish forces are in flux, leading to a sideways trading pattern. Despite this recent dip in value, Bitcoin maintains its dominant position at the top of CoinMarketCap's rankings, boasting an impressive market capitalization of approximately $899 billion.

Saw(2004) Two men wake up in a bathroom, chained to a bathub and a sink, unaware of why they are there. A very simple way to not give anything away and put interest, well, into my mind at least.
This movie was perfect, albeit one giveaway at the end. Written by Leigh Wahnell and starring him, co starring Cary Elwes, this is a movie that would've just been fantastic as a standalone. My problem with popularity in movies. As grounded as it can get, and certainly interesting, definitely worth seeing.
Skew (2011) A found footage movie where three friends go on a road trip to a wedding, and one of the friends starts to see people with there faces blurred through the camera. Soon after, that person dies.
This movie is flawed. Just an okay movie. If you are looking for big scares, this is not the movie to watch.

Just a simple thing, hence the enormous void of NOTHING on the left. Mostly testing those darker cuffs/endings to Yuna's sweater.
I don't know if the reflection stuff has any significance. Just thought it looked neat.

Another 30-second TTRPG Playtest
We all love randomness in our TTRPGs, but game design has taught us that true randomness rarely feels fun or fair. Behind the scenes, most game systems are skewing the odds in the player’s favour; so why can’t we do that in tabletop games?
Rolling 1d8+1d12 can skew a skill check or random table in your favour. Put the most likely stuff on 8-12 and the really dangerous stuff on 2 or 20. Rolling 2d6 (where a 7 is the most common outcome) can also create immediate, interesting variance.
Maybe we could go in the other direction and mimic systems that only use a percentile dice to measure randomness? A 1 in 100 encounter could be bombastic and completely broken.
It's worth trying different combinations, especially if you're creating your own loot and encounter tables. Learn to skew the odds in the favour of the party OR in the favour of what they're up against.

okay. listen. if you ever find yourself falling into a new ideological circle, pay attention. if you notice that you’re among people who define themselves as part of an “in-group” with a pre-prepared human “enemy” to constantly rail against—if everyone fantasizes about the mental state of these loathsome monsters, if they participate in witch hunts or (perhaps worse) poke bears and court harassment on purpose to comfort each other over—get the fuck out. you haven’t been enlightened to some grand conspiracy, there are no evil “enemies” or “degenerates” trying to rip apart the fabric of society, and you do not have the moral duty to “enlighten” anyone to whatever you think the “truth” is. it’s neither safe nor normal to spend hours of your day fighting with strangers on the internet
a lot of people wear this shit like a badge of honor, but it’s also not normal to hide your “in-group” status as a form of martyrdom, relishing when the “enemy” slips up around you. it’s comforting in the moment, but in the long run, you’re alienating yourself from the world outside of your bubble. the more you alienate yourself, the more vulnerable and lonely you become, and the harder it is to reject the comfort of belonging to the “in-group”
i’m writing this from the perspective of someone who grew up in a cesspool of awful, cult-like rural churches—which is its own situation—but i see similar shit happening in online communities all the time, both within and 800 miles outside of my own ideological principles. yes, every toxicass radfem i block seems to be trapped in a version of this vicious cycle, but i also see it happening in random queer circles and niche fandom communities. no one is immune, not even me. i’ve watched people fall into this shit and never make it out. be careful
