Hi! Do you know any astro boy discord servers? I've seen two but they're awfully quiet

I'm not aware of any active Astro Boy Discord servers at the moment.

I used to own an Astro Boy Discord server until about a year ago when I decided to move on from it as it was pretty taxing for me. Made a lot of great internet friends in there that I still keep in contact with. The server is still running as far as I know and has some good people in it.

I open this question up to my followers to share their Astro Boy Discord servers in the comments and reblogs if they so wish to do so!

“Dear Y/N,

Isn’t the sun quite bright today? Well, who cares? Your smile is brighter than the sun but it’s never blinding. Rather, your bright smile was somewhat like a torch that led me out of a dark world.

I don’t know when but it just happened. It just so happened that I met you on a fateful Thursday afternoon. I’ll prefer to call it a miracle. Because you saved me, Y/N. You really did. And, I wish I could pay you back in some kind, but you just shunned me away and said it was okay.

Y/N, I’ve been meaning to tell you this for a long time now.

I am writing to you because, honestly, I am better with words than acting out what I feel towards you. My heart has belonged to you ever since that day we met. I already knew that I finally found a beautiful soul and a kind heart to which is compatible with my wrecked soul and icy cold heart.

You are the exact reason why I wanted to keep going. Because I wanted to see you grow, to see you smile, and eventually, to see how you would love me back.

I don’t exactly know when or how it started, but maybe it was just a hunch.

Got a lot of comments about my Sandaconda redesign which isn’t super shocking since I made them vastly different.

I based my Sandaconda redesign off a chimeric creature from Arthurian legend known as the Questing Beast. The beast had the head of a snake, the body of a leopard, the haunches of a lion and the hooves of a deer if I member correctly.

Long time followers will know I’m not afraid to explore dumb ideas and I figured with Sandaconda’s placement in a Britain-inspired region that it would be a good oppurtunity to highlight some weird Britain-inspired thing. I think it helps the Silicobra line stand out from the other snake pokemon in a more fantastical way and I also think it helps give Galar a more mythical atmosphere in the context of my redesign project. 

I got nothing opposed to the regular versions at all, I think they’re really cute-- just for my redesigns I like to approach things from a more whimsical, surreal angle. c:

The official design of Stonjourner isn't really interesting, what inspirations does your redesign have?

I like the original well enough so I was mostly playing off them honestly. In my head I see the Pokemon Redesigns taking place in a more fantasy-based universe so I tried imaging a fantasy-version of stonehenge (a similar structure but not a one-to-one with reality). 

Since it wasn’t supposed to be a one-to-one I imagined my version of Stonjourner would sometimes maybe sleep or rest below ground, so I wanted to their heads to look like it formed a different kind of ruin if they were resting together in a ring. The blue-teal and gold colours is paint in spots where I pictured humans could reach (the head when buried, the bottom of the legs when standing), mistaking Stonjourner as sacred sites to be marked whenever they got together to do their Stonjourner business. c:

The Galar fossil redesigns are great! The way they connect is way better then the originals.

I think the originals have a very purposeful joke that I really like and really appreciate so I think the way they connect is supposed be kind of terrible but it makes them all the more endearing XD

For the purpose of my redesigns it was fun trying to think of how to meld them together-- I tried to change it so their silhouettes look slightly more like an almost proper animal but I also tried to give them each kind of under stated morbid detail. I’m happy you like my takes on them! c:

I normally think a living train Pokemon is a weird idea, but your coalossal looks amazing!

I thought so too but I figured this was the one chance to try and I went for it. Think it turned out pretty okay! c:

Despite what some may think I actually really like normal Coalossal-- it felt like a cool return to that sorta classic Pokemon Kaiju-body shape which I feel like hasn’t gotten as much play in recent generations. The purpose of my redesigns are merely to experiment with character concepts and to experiment within my art style so I decided to try for a more literal train to emphasize that part of their design and since no other Pokemon has that quality. 

I did the goofy magma feet to try and give it a bit of an organic feel while still clearly being a train. My thinking is that as they evolve from a Rolycoly they gain a sort of fire spirit-like quality, and the stronger and larger they get the more it bursts out.

I have some links in my main blog page but basically I got-

Main Tumblr Blog - obviously but is probably where I’m most active

Second Tumblr Blog - On Haitus right now but has over 1000 posts based on a personal project

Deviantart - Second most active place and has the most well-kempt galleries

Twitter - Decently active - I’m a lot more liberal with retweeting other’s art then here so if you want 100% cohesiveness aside from asks tumblr is better

Facebook - I was kinda forced to make one of these for an Art Business class and then I kept it up mainly for friends and family but is largely irrelevent unless you only wanna see daily drawings. It is an option but I wouldn’t strongly reccomend it because then you’d have to use Facebook and no one wants that.
