Here’s my thought. Male dragons (drakes?) are supposed to be destructive and domineering by nature because they exist to help Alduin destroy Kalpas. But they lived on Nirn for millennia before the apocalypse began and spent that time building a society, enslaving people, hoarding treasures, sharpening their wits… Just because they exist to destroy the world, that doesn’t mean that’s all they do.

Supposedly there are no female dragons (jills) because they exist to repair rips in time, but why wouldn’t they have lives on Nirn between dragonbreaks? Furthermore, the Time Wound stayed open on the Throat of the World since Alduin’s first defeat. If jills didn’t participate in life on Nirn except to maintain continuity they would have fixed that rip. That they didn’t implies that jills were killed/driven into hiding at the same time as the drakes and based on that, it seems reasonable to assume there were jills in dragon society.

Lastly, the idea of applying rigid sexes to creatures that can’t reproduce and existed before mortal society created gender roles is dumb as hell and Sod Tower can’t convince me otherwise

I finally bought Skyrim for my roommate’s PS4 a couple of weeks ago (I had previously been playing it on the switch), and with that, I decided to download a few new mods!

I know that the PS4 has tragically few mods, but the ones it does have are great! One of the ones I downloaded put a friendly dragon in each hold. They mostly just sit there unless the city is attacked in which case they’ll supposedly defend it

This got me thinking about the lore behind it (even though in the mod they’re all nameless basic dragons), so I wanted to design my own. So here are the 9 Guardian Dragons, one for each hold capital.

I spent way WAY too long this morning coming up with more information about them if anybody wants to hear about them, let me know, I’d love to get asks about them! <3
