I could really use some suggestions on a good high fantasy RPG for PS4 (that isn't The Witcher 3 or Skyrim).

I'm looking for Christmas gifts for a family member who doesn't have access to internet. He would prefer a game where he can roam freely.

He also has Ghost of Tsushima, but I think he'd really love to get back into a true fantasy world. I've also thought about Assassin's Creed: Valhalla but heard it gets extremely repetitive (and, to be honest, I feel like the series itself is a little tired at this point).

I want the game to genuinely be good and something he enjoys.

I was playing Curious Expedition 2 and it has one of those storylines where you have to Pick A Side (like in Skryim where you have to pick between the Stormcloaks or the Empire).

Only in CE2 it's the Mole People VS the Salamander People.

This pissed me off so much I ragequit the game for good and now I have to find another game to play. (I never picked a side in Skyrim either, but at least with Skyrim you can fuck around forever and never play the main storyline. For me that game was a fantasy version of The Sims where I ran around hunting animals and brewing potions and adopting orphans. Paid zero attention to politics other than to occasionally punt racists. Curious Expedition 2 doesn't have such freedom, 0/10 game.)

I am not a joiner. I don't play well with others, I'm not a team player or good sport at all. You will not get me to join your side. I will fuck off into the woods and be neutral forever.

i'm having so much fun with my hand-me-down playstation <3 i'm playing the last of us on easy. i'm so bad at it & it took me 3 hours to get through the tutorial section and i'm not even done. and i'm stuck at my very first clicker mob and have died like 25x. but i'm having a blast anyway and i'll get better lol
