“hey- hey Nerves”   “yes, snowflake?” Nerves says gently, looking over at Winter while peeling potatoes, the nickname making Winter blush.   “I...” silence swamps the room as Winter gathers up shreds of courage, very light blue dots of sweat appearing on his forehead. “I wanted- to- to say something”   Nerves stops peeling, moving to face Winter completely to give his full attention.   “I um, I well” Winter’s face almost goes completely light blue from blushing, he’s fidgeting with his hands, picking at his jacket. “Do you.. promise not to.. um.. judge..?”   “Of Course”   “i don’t- I like you. More- M-more than a friend- friend should” Nerves’ face lights up with a very light orange.   “o-oh.. r- really?”   “uum.. yeah..” Winter says softly, looking down at the ground. Tears are forming in his eye-sockets. Nerves’ quietly walks to Winter, until he’s standing in front of him.   “I like you too” he whispers.   Winter looks up at him, his blush deepening. He reaches a hand out, resting it on Nerves’ arm.   “like, serious- seriously?”   Nerves’ nods. “You know i wouldn’t lie to you.”   Winter practically throws himself onto Nerves, hugging him and burying his face in Nerves’ top. he can’t help the small tears of relief that spill.

The rest of the night is spent with Winter clinging to Nerves, even when he’s cooking or sitting down. Nerves, couldn’t be anymore happier.

Alrighty! Now that three of the main characters designs have been posted, I think that it's about time to give a lil' about section for SkyTale: Light of Hope.

What is SkyTale: Light of Hope? Well, SkyTale is an AU I am currently working on in my spare time, it's founding idea is basically just a merger universe of two of my favourite comfort games - Undertale and Sky: Children of the Light.

There are many differences between SkyTale and the games' the AU is based on, one example being Frisk and Chara are both alive during the war between humans and monsters.

I will state this now but this AU, and I cannot stress this enough, DOES NOT and WILL NOT revolve around Sans and Papyrus. Ever. As much as I like the guys, I find there are way too many Sans-centric AU's and Skelebro-centric storylines out there. Sure, there will be moments revolving around the bone bros, but that's it. Just a few moments, not the whole damn AU. I will draw character design art. I will draw fanart. I will make headcannons, but in terms of the main plot? They will only get. Just. A few. Moments. Maybe an arc, but we're not that far into the story yet. So if you want something Sans-centric or something that's just about the skeleton brothers then I'm sorry, but this ain't it chief. To be blunt, go look somewhere else.

Alright, now that that part is out of the way. How will I be fleshing out this AU? Well, it's simple really. Overall I am admittedly not the best artist in the world, that being said though (and as I have stated before) I can draw - so I will be making my own character designs! I've already made designs for three of the main characters, being Frisk, Chara and Asriel, all of which I am really pleased with! I will mostly be writing stories for this AU, so keep your eyes peeled on ffn (@Blue-Icarus), ao3 (@Blue_Icarus) and Wattpad (@Blue_Icarus). The writing process takes time (procrastination is a pain,  Uni and job searching are stressful af, and I get writer's block very easily) so between writing chapters I will be drawing out some character designs or writing up headcannons.

Basic plot? Sure, I can tell you that.

"One way in, no way out. A fate at the hands of the monsters seems far more merciful than certain doom at the hands of the Deceitful King and his armies, does it not?

Twin mages Frisk and Chara, along with two other mage children, escape the hands of the Deceitful King and make their way to the Eden Mountain Range - specifically, Mt Ebott. To the supposed grave of all monsterkind, the place where magic, light, and hope went to die.

Three descend to seek refuge below ground, one stays above to locate and rescue others like them. The story switches between the twins perspectives above and below ground: with one of the twins watching over the rescued mages whilst attempting to befriend and help out the monsters trapped below, and with the other searching the land for any other mages and unravelling the mysteries surrounding Eden, the disappearance of their father, the war against monsters, and the Deceitful King."

Short, sweet, and doesn't give too much of the plot away. So, yeah. That's the base plot. I'm gonna work on the designs (and names) for the other mage children ASAP. Short SkyTale: Light of Hope factoids and headcannons are on their way too. Stay tuned~

Heeeyyy to my couple followers ik I haven’t been uploading Skytale content at all and that’s because I don’t rlly care about it anymore 😭 loss of motivation and all that

But I have been seriously working on a new au called Tunetale!! I even wrote a summary of it that I will show you now:

So, Tunetale is an Undertale AU that is essentially one big musical!(with the characters singing songs that already exist because I refuse to make my own music hell no) Each character (with the exception of Frisk) has a music genre that they specialize in. It’s a fully pacifist AU and doesn’t have much angst in the actual main story.

Monsters are born with a voice ready to sing, having it imbued within their very SOULs. It’s so powerful that this talent emanates from them like an aura, allowing others to coordinate with them seamlessly, even if they’re just making up the song on the spot.

As such, singing is an important part of Monster culture like puzzles. In fact, singing is required in order to solve all the puzzles they make. This cultural aspect is not only a way of expressing oneself, but also a way of communicating your “true feelings.”

Sometimes Monsters can hit the “Perfect Harmony” or just “Harmony” for short, which can only happen if the singers are in complete sync with each other mentally and physically. It is a powerful thing to achieve, allegedly being able to bring people back from the dead or from serious injury. Their styles will meld, creating a balanced, harmonious song. An example is if Sans and Papyrus were to hit a Harmony, their music styles would merge into a Funk-R&B combo, with their auras pulsing a blue and orange combo with the beat. A Perfect Harmony can establish strong bonds between Monsters.

Even though each Monster specializes in one music genre specifically, they are not limited to singing only that one for their whole life. In fact, excelling in music that is out of your comfort zone is seen as a very attractive trait for Monsters of all kinds.

Musical skill varies on when it blooms for a Monster, sometimes late and sometimes early, but it will always come along eventually.

AU/Crossover idea

So this may or may not apply to this blog but I have an AU idea that I think would be fun. It’s more along the lines of both a crossover and AU but still. Anyways the name of this AU could either be SkyTale or FlameTale.

Anyways the idea is that either Chara or Frisk (depending on whether you want it to be a swap universe or not) has Dying Will Flames of the Sky. As a Sky they would attract other elements to themselves, and obviously be part of the mafia. However unlike normal Flame users their Famiglia isn’t Human. It’s made up of Monsters.

In this AU the monsters weren’t sealed beneath MT. Ebott. The war didn’t happen as the Vindice intervened with how many Humans and Monsters were Flame Active. Instead the monsters went into hiding for a while.

Chara/Frisk find the monsters when fleeing a cruel mafia family that only wants to control a powerful Sky. The monsters are slow to warm up to a human child until one of them accidentally forms a Guardian bond with them.

The Monsters Flames are as Follows:

Chara - Sky, (Harmony), as what would be the ‘first human’ in a classic timeline Chara takes the role of the Sky. A natural born leader with high charisma who draws other elements in. Welcoming and a home to all. Though slightly nervous due to their early childhood.

Sans - Rain, (Trainquility), As a Rain Sans is very laid back and usually doesn’t let anything get to him. However just like actual rain he can be biting and cold to those that harm his family.

Papyrus - Sun, (Activation), As a Sun Papyrus is very active and energetic. He is a superb healer due to his Flame’s Activation properties, and isn’t a slouch when it comes to fighting either. He acts as the beacon of warmth for the Family.

Asriel - Mist, (Creation), Hard to pin down. Chara’s first Guardian. As a mist Asriel is a master of illusions and loves to play games. However like the mist he can be treacherous and will lead those with ill intentions into harm.

Undyne - Storm, (Disintegration), Short tempered and volatile. Undyne represents her Element well, being calm one second and violent and deadly the next.

Mettaton - Cloud, (Propagation), Hard to tie down and whimsical. Clouds tend to do their own thing and protect the family from afar. This suits Mettaton well as he would rather be entertaining people. However like all Clouds he is territorial, though his territory tends to be those he is close to.

Toriel - Lightening, (Hardening), A shield who diverts harm. Toriel is a loving mother with a strong sense of right and wrong. As a lightning she is the first line of defense for the Family.

-GUYS ! IM going ! said Sans.Sun, Alphys and Papyrus went to Sans and hugged him, all at once. Sans laughed and said

-all right, the trip is fast! Enjoy Dr. Alphys's surprise, I bet it will be incredible!                                                             -Certainly, brother!-Said Papyrus. She had agreed the day before that she would surprise Skytale after that day, and that everyone would love it.                          

After saying goodbye, Sans took a shortcut and left.
