Ina Kingsley Headcanons Pt. 4(?)

Recently been tossing hilarious and interesting ideas around with other Ina stans, and I think I need to put together another list of HC's. Enjoy!

Ina grew up in New York middle-high class in a very religious home that didn't believe in childbirth outside of wedlock, or ✨the big gay✨. So when Ina came out before she left for college, she was disowned. She'd tried to see the best in her parents all her life, and this just broke her heart.

But any love she might've had remaining for her parents disappeared when they disowned Lilian when she got pregnant when she was 19. Ina had just recently graduated from Princeton, and rushed back home to bring Lilian to live with her. It was a very tough first few years.

Ina was the 'nerd who is athletic' (not to be mistaken with 'athlete who is nerdy'), and MC is blown away when she finds out just how athletic Ina is.

She boxed as an amateur when she was in high school, and even did track and field. She still lifts weights to maintain ✨dat ass✨ but does sometimes find herself missing sports. It sated her competitive side.

Physically, Ina can't lie, she's most proud of her butt. Don't tell anyone (especially MC), but that thang used to be flat. Ina likes to think that every positive quality she has is a product of her hard work. And she's usually right.

Ina has punched/slapped/kicked in the balls more than a few people on behalf of those she cares about. One time a man at a bar called Lilian a 'dirty slut' and… well, let's just say Ina would've gone to jail if the bar owner wasn't so impressed that a little 5'4" woman had just kicked a dude's ass.

Ina is deeply involved with Charlotte's life. She doesn't want her to feel alone and unsure like she often did growing up. She's especially involved when it comes to Charlotte's education, and is the reason Charlotte could read, write cursive, and recite the periodic table before she was even six. Don't worry, the kid's a nerd too, she loves it.

Another thing Ina has an irrational fear of besides geese? Bugs. Don't expect her to be the one to squash so much as an ant in the house when you start living together.

Ina also nearly got married when she was around 29-30 (HC that she's around 33-35 now) to a woman she really loved. She said yes to her proposal, but found out just a month or two before their wedding that she was cheating.

It's a big reason in why she's always pushing MC away, she's so scared to be hurt again, even though she knows she's falling for MC the exact same way she did her ex. Nobody at work knows about her ex-fiancé, and Ina doesn't know how she'll ever explain that to MC.
