Dajbog pendant

Dajbog is one of the sons of Svarog, the Sungod, the one who gives light, rain and fertility – everything that is good. The Slavs believed that Dajbog travels the heavens every day in a magical quadriga yoked with four white horses with fiery manes and golden wings, and that the sunlight comes from the fiery shield that Dajbog carries with Him. At night he would die and go to the Underworld, in order to be resurrected in the morning. Also, it was believed that Dajbog spends summer months in our, real world, giving us Sun, while in the winter he goes down into Nav.

Alatyr ring (Slavic ring) Alatir, the Mythical Stone, whose history can be traced to the far depths of distant centuries, is frequently seen on Ukrainian embroideries, along with a host of ancient images. This eight-pointed star is one of the oldest known symbols, that depicts the folding and unfolding Universe.

This sign is reflected in countless legends and tales, of the Mythical Stone, the dawn-stone on which the power of the Gods rests and from which it is restored. The sign of the Alatir is like a Divine Eye, from which shines the Light Supreme, God’s good fortune to all the seen and unseen world. Through the Alatir, the Gods communicate with mortals. Into the Alatir is engraved the wisdom of the Universe, and its sacred symbols state Universal Laws. An image of the harmony of the universe, Alatir also displays the intersection of power lines, to form a holy place, a place of power, ideal for a pagan temple.

Our ancestors believed that plants are capable of curing diseases and scaring away evil spirits. At first, only the sorcerers-greengrocers possessed the secret knowledge of the power of herbs, but over time, herbalists and healers appeared in the families of peasants and townspeople. They described in detail the magic and medicinal plants and their properties.

Plants as living things. In ancient times, pagans treated plants as living things: according to legends, herbs could move from place to place, change their appearance and suddenly disappear, talk to each other, scream and cry. The ancestors also believed that each plant had its own character and disposition.

They picked up herbs at a certain time and in protected places. Meadows, forest edges and swamps with the necessary plants were found by "knowledgeable" people.
