Lmao. I wouldn’t say that I’m surprised exactly, because I have a long (long...) history of both loving garbage men and facepalming myself into oblivion over their shenanigans, especially those taking place in my various fics. So Matthias is just the latest in a very, very long line of Fictional Men Making Unbelievably Stupid Choices which I somehow decide to enjoy in my free time. And yet, you really should think that I would know better by now.

Anyway, yes, I actually did think they might kiss in chapter 6 (which is the one I am writing now). Instead Matthias decided to do exactly the wrong thing, Things Are Going Swiftly Downhill, and to say the least, said hoped-for kissing is not going to happen (he will frankly be lucky if Nina doesn’t murder him). God damn it, son. I am trying to help you here.

I’m delighted that you’re enjoying the fic, as it also makes me smile a lot, and hopefully the next update batch will come soon!
