How does Orca Eclipse sleep? Does he lay on land? Underwater maybe? Or does he do that whale thing and just float upright :3

He mostly sleeps in the water but he can sleep on land! When he sleeps in water, it's much like orcas in that it's unihemispheric sleep, which means one side of his brain sleeps while the other is awake to help him breathe without drowning and keep one eye open to watch for threats; then he switches to the other side of his brain to continue resting. He swims very slowly and steadily by the surface while in this state. He literally sleeps with one eye open in the water!

On land, he sleeps like a human, fully unconscious and both eyes closed, but he's not very comfortable with that as he doesn't have anyone to watch his back when resting, so it's rare. Though, given his current fixation, he might have a reason to spend a night on the ice.

Episode 1 | The Willow Tree

It was a slow glide over the darkened lands, Eternal Sugar's wings stiff after a lack of use for so many years. Her gaze never remained in one place, searching constantly for something, anything, that would allude to where she was.

Yet with the darkness of everything, it was getting increasingly hard to see.

"How did Shadow Milk ever manage in this low of a light level..." The beast muttered to herself, tucking her wings in to dip a little lower, hoping she'd be able to see things better if she were closer to the ground.

Spreading out her wings once more, Eternal Sugar couldn't help herself from smiling softly as she felt the wind whip past her face, the cool air a stark but welcome contrast from the warmth of her slumber.

For a moment, she allowed herself to close her eyes, smiling softly as she enjoyed the cold air.

When she opened her eyes again, a soft glow in the corner of her vision caught her attention. Without hesitation, she made a sharp turn around, tilting herself up to gain some altitude before leveling out once more.

Her gaze remained trained on that soft glow, with it getting brighter the closer she got to it.

When she finally landed, having to dig her heels into the soft ground to stop her momentum, she looked up, only to be met with a large silver willow tree.

The bark of the tree was covered in cracks, light of different colors filtering through. White, red, blue, and purple. The light bounced off the shiny silver leaves of the tree, hitting back onto the tree and painting it in an almost mosaic manner.

Eternal Sugar would almost think it was pretty, if it wasn't the thing keeping her in this pitch black hell hole.

With a soft sigh, the winged cookie made her way forward, pressing her forehead to the tree alongside her hand, a smile forming to her lips as she watched the red light grow brighter.

"They're okay..." She muttered, a tired chuff leaving her as she shook her head.

"...I'm okay."

Whether that was a confirmation to herself, or to the other beasts, she didn't know.

"It's time to get uuuup... Can't sleep in all day, auntie..." *despite his words, david looks incredibly tired as he yawns and makes his way inside! his eyes are nearly closed as he stumbles towards her bed, kneeling right beside it and reaching his arm out to gently shake her. however, he reaches a bit too far, loses his balance, and accidentally plops his head on the edge of the bed! he sighs but doesn't get up, not moving for a few moments before he... starts lightly snoring?! it seems that he's woken up a bit too early today...*

"Mmmnn..~" Phan just mutters a sleepy hum at David's words, shifting ever so slightly when he gently shook her~ Usually getting up very early on her own was no problem, so she was definitely very sleepy!! "....!" She felt the soft impact of his head plopping onto the edge of the bed! That all, however, will eventually succeed in Phan waking up, mumbling a soft: "Davieee...." as she slowly rises up, while stretching her arms with a yawn. As she rubs the sleep out of her eyes, she gives a light gasp when seeing that David dozed off, himself!

"Oh...! Hehehe...~" Giggling, she brings a hand over to gently comb it through his hair~ "Looks like someone was super sleepy, too...thank you for waking me up, sweetie... Hmm, I'd feel bad waking him up right away. Maaaybe I'll give it 30 minutes."

Until then, she'll just browse on her cellphone before laying back down, and scoots closer to David so that she can continue stroking his hair, smiling down at him warmly~
