You mentioned that if we know Denji’s characterization of Killer and Killer’s original backstory that we should understand why he’s so touch starved and has such a messed up definition of love. Is there any way you could tell me who Denji is?? I’m very curious now lol

Denji is a character from Chainsaw Man. I recommend you read the manga or watch the anime - though just the anime alone won't grasp the inspiration I derived from the character into Killer.

I also took inspiration from Gojo Satoru (Jujutsu Kaisen) but more so from his younger self more than the present Gojo.

(These are just drawn for the sake of meme-ing, not actually AG Killer's design)

Further down is explanation and slight spoilers. I don't talk much about it since I want most information to be a slow burn reveal for the characters, as if the audience is getting to know the AGDT cast in real time. (I am a sucker for narratives where it keeps you wanting to psycho-analyze a character rather than revealing everything upfront.)

Starting off with Denji, he's a teen boy who suffered through poverty and taken advantage of for labor just because he's willing to do anything just to get by in life. He's a boy who will do anything to live a normal teen life without having to worry about if he'll die from starvation. Along the story of CSM, he's been treated poorly due to how easily he can be manipulated - he literally has no idea of his own rights as a person. He's also very emotionally unaware because he's lived all alone his life except for a friendly devil named Pochita, who gave his heart to Denji so he can live and become chainsaw man to protect himself. Again, this is just a rough summary I made of Denji's character and I can't exactly explain it here! I recommend watching character analysis video that can further explain him or- you can also check at the original source (manga or anime) yourself which I believe will be worth it since CSM is such a good story.

In AGDT, I suppose you can consider Chara as Killer's Pochita, but in a more unhealthy / partners in crime way. I'll leave that up for the future to explore since at the moment, that's not what I want AGDT to focus on.

As for young Gojo, he's also complicated. He believes himself to be invincible and he can rub off as cocky most of the time. In the story, he holds no compassion or positive feelings for people who are weak - which is essentially everyone for him since he views himself as the strongest. This changed for a while when he was tasked to protect someone - he grew fond of them. However, later on this care disappeared when he perfected a technique - his feeling of pride for himself was stronger than his care for the person he was meant to protect. Gojo is usually nonchalant and playful, also emotionally unaware most of the time as he only thinks about himself (and a fellow 'strongest one' ahem, Geto but that's something I'll ramble for another day). However, he does go absolutely crazy when he's in intense fights since he's absolutely determined to win out of pride.

I would love to talk about what else Killer takes from Gojo but I'd feel like I'd be spoiling everything so I'll leave it for another time to talk about or explore.

There's other medias I took inspiration from for other parts of AG Killer but again, it's a subject to navigate around another time.

You put your finished homework in your bag, trying not to damage notebook pages. Your handwriting became better, your reading skills proved and, recently, your math teacher praised for all the progress you have made.

Life became... normal.

As normal as a devil hybrid's life could be. Especially, if said hybrid had to take care of a cat and seven dogs, go to school and safe people from devils at their spare time.

Your fingers brushed against a chainsaw cord.

Pochita... Aki... Power...

Would your life ever be normal again?

If someone asked you if you blamed your father, for what has happened, you would say "I dunno"

If it wasn't for his debt, you won't become Devil Hunter, worked with Yakuza, had your heart fused with Pochita... Won't meet your friends. And Makima...

This situation was complex.

Really complex.

And you didn't want to think about it.

Not now. Maybe, later.

For now, you have some reading exercises.

You stand up and took new Bungou stray dogs manga volume.

With your phone near (to look a meaning of words you don't know), you start reading it.

🐾Their Guiding Light was really emotional and kind. And each time Guiding Light decided to say something good about them...

"I would like to make some bombs with Kajii! Sounds cool!" Little Light was purring, curled on Kajii's head.

"Oh! Fyodor is so smart! I wanna be as smart, as him, one day!" Everyone try to hold back their laughter, looking at Little Light, who were "hugging" Fyodor's face.

🐾 But there was something, that makes them worried. They guessed, that you were a teen. And, for some reason, you have some troubles with reading. You were slow, re-reading some words, and taking your time.

🐾 They were worried, because they were afraid, that Their Guiding Light were bullied because of their reading habits. It was another reason for them to get to the real world faster. To protect you from bullies.

You were having lunch on a school rooftop. It's not like you can't eat at the school's cafeteria.

But, if Chainsaw Devil Hunter are needed, you need an easy way to get to the battle. Without being noticed.

You were ready to take a first bite of your food, when the school building started to shake.

Another Devil (you really didn't care about what kind of devil it was), was on a run. You put your lunch box down. Time to get to business.

You didn't notice, how your phone screen became white.

You pull the chainsaw's cord and jumped.

🐾 Mori and Yosano will always run a medical check-ups on you, after your transformations.

🐾 Fitzgerald bought every merch with your Devil Form he can find.

🐾 You told Ango, Ranpo and Ayatsuji and Power's last request. They try to help you find a new Incarnation of Blood Devil.

🐾 Kids now attending the same school as you. After you defend them from bullies, they created a fan club of you. Not to Chainsaw Devil Hunter. No, to [Y/N] [L/N].

🐾 Life didn't become less chaotic. But, it became warmer. And more homey.

Coming right up but for those who haven't read the manga yet, be careful-

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Aki Hayakawa X Little Brother! Reader

A/N: As much as I love Aki, I am so glad I'm not related to this guy. XD

Warning! Big protective brother alert!

Aki is something like a helicopter brother when it comes to you, whether you like it or not.

He’s not going to stop you from doing something stupid, but if it can kill you, he’s keeping you six feet away from it.

He doesn’t care if you get embarrassed, your safety comes first.

If you two are on a mission together for Public Safety, don’t expect to kill a lot of devils.

You’d be lucky to even get a hit in with how quick Aki is to the punch.

Expect Power and Denji to ridicule you at first for being a porcelain doll.

The first missions are unbearable with how your brother is to the point where you have to talk to him about it or it’ll get worse.

And luckily you did!

In the beginning Aki thought you were being ridiculous, but when everyone, including Himeno and Makima agreed with you on his antics, he changed.

For the better even!

He eventually let you go on missions by yourself with other Public Safety members.

He let you kill demons on your own.

Aki gave you freedom, but still kept you at a protective distance.

If you are in any kind of trouble, he will still swoop in to save his little brother.

If not him, Power and Denji will. Not only do they have a choice, but they see you as family too.

SPOILERS AHEAD!

When the Gun Devil was rumored to be neutralized, Aki didn’t even relax.

Instead, he made sure that you were safe the entire time.

It was because of his proactive nature, he found out that the Gun Devil being defeated was a hoax.

At the end of the day, his life didn’t matter. What mattered more was the safety of you, Denji and Power.

He wasn’t going to lose someone else.

He couldn’t lose another brother…

And he didn’t.

Even if it meant he had to go or the world had to nearly fall apart, he made sure his newfound family wasn’t going to be broken.

Aki cares about you. He loves you.

Well I decided to do something different, a crossover, so I hope you like it.I had this idea last night so I decided to write it hahaha, I decided to make the characters from the game Something's wrong with Sunny day Jack interacting with the reader with some characteristics of some characters from chainsaw man .

(be careful there are spoilers for the anime and manga)

Sunny day Jack with Devil chainsaw reader (as denji)

- Well you watched the tape together with Nayuta, so when Jack saw you and a child together, he was extremely happy, because he would give love to you and your daughter;

- When you woke up and saw a huge man with a clown-like appearance, you jumped at the chance, grabbing Nayuta on your lap, and immediately starting to remonstrate about the ghost, well it was not a good first impression;

- After the madness that occurred, he tries to explain the situation, did you understand anything? No, because it was too strange to tell the truth, so Jack tries his best to make a good impression on you and your daughter;

- Later he finds out that Nayuta is not your daughter, but your considerate sister, since you have custody of her, because Kishibe simply threw her to you to take care of her;

- Well, he started trying to cheer you up about things, he started cooking for you, for breakfast he made pancakes for you and Nayuta, both of you were excited about the food, since you never had pancakes;

- The other thing he finds out too, you are a high school girl, so you are underage, and every time you nag him that you want to do certain inappropriate things with him, of course Jack is happy to hear that you want to have sex with him, and also only thinks about him, but he won't do anything with you until you are over 18;

- Let's just say that he is a little startled when you pull the ignition cord that is on your chest to become the chainsaw man, even though he knows something about demons, Jack is still a little surprised;

- But one thing is for sure, this man loves you and a lot of it!

Ian Duff with reader Devil Angel (as angel)

- At first he thought you were a little too cold, not caring about the people or the things that happened around him;

- But he was very patient with you, Ian will try everything to make you get along together, even if he can't touch you;

- You enjoy Ian's company a lot, so you always listen to him properly and calmly, very understanding of everything he says, so Duff loves that about you, even though you don't seem to care much, you do care, even a little;

- Even if he can't touch you, or give you a needed caress that you need because you can unintentionally take away the years of life just by touching, then sometimes you improvise;

- He gets a little desperate for touch, so maybe Ian touches or takes your hand briefly, he doesn't give a shit if you took a month or two off for a brief touch, he doesn't care much;

- Of course you fight and question his decision to have done this, but again, he won't care;

- When you see couples holding hands, you get a little disappointed in yourself for not touching your beloved, so sometimes you improvise, like tying your tie around your wrist and handing the sash to Ian to hold. Duff gets a little silly when you do this;

- This man becomes a jerk when you protect him with your huge wings;

- Ian loves going out with you, do you want something? He is running to buy what you want;

- He simply loves to sleep cuddled up with you, and since he can't touch you, you are curled up in a pile of blankets like a cupcake in springtime;

- Ian enjoys procrastinating a bit with you;

- This man loves everything about you, your feminine and delicate features, it doesn't even seem like you can use people's stolen years and create lethal weapons to kill demons, he finds it hot;

- He will do anything for you, if he can he will even take on Makima if he is able, of course if he has a momentary crisis of courage;

- One thing you like about being with him is when you go out for ice cream, because you leave everything to him;

"The two of you were walking down the street, Ian had the end of his tie tied around your wrist, while the other end was tied around you, this was the only way you could walk hand in hand.

You look to the side and see an ice-cream parlor on the corner, your eyes light up, because you were dying to try the icy treat again with your boyfriend, and then you tugged at your tie and pointed to the parlor, like a naughty child.

Ian realized what you wanted and suppressed the laughter in his throat.

"Sure love! Let's go!" Spoke the happy redhead.

With a few steps the two of you arrived at the ice cream parlor, people looked at you with fear, not because they knew of your ability, but because you were a demon, but you didn't care much, Ian didn't like people's attitude towards his romantic partner, he soon ordered the flavors of ice cream, and as soon as it was ready you left.

The redhead stared at you tenderly, for you had a silly smile on your face, and you looked at him and gave one of the most beautiful smiles he had ever seen.

" Would you like to try some of my ice cream?" You offered him some.

With that he took the part of the ice cream shell that you weren't holding, and brought the frozen treat closer to your mouth, he just took a little "bite" of the tip of your ice cream, you were happy with that.

"Would you like to try some of my ice cream too angel?" you nodded at Duff's question, then you did the same as he did, but you got some ice cream smeared on the corner of your lips, Ian's eyes sparkled at that scene, he didn't hold back and gave a seal of a kiss on the corner of your lip as a way of cleaning the ice cream smear, he didn't care much about having his life stolen by you.

Well that was quick, you looked at him in horror, because you didn't expect that.

"You idiot! Do you realize what you have done?"

Well he doesn't care, since he went with you"

- Even if you are the Devil Angel, he thinks you are more of an angel than an actual demon;

-he simply loves you, and doesn't care if his life is stolen from you;

Shaun with Devil Blood reader (as Power)

- Well, he had to get used to his chaotic energy;

- Sometimes you act like a rowdy child;

- My friend, he will have to create a lot of patience with you, since you are very clueless at times;

- Well you hate demons and humans, but you made an exception for Shaun;

- This man loves the fact that you conditionally love your cat Meow;

- You only started to like Shaun when your cat became comfortable around him;

- One thing you found out about Shaun, he also has a cat, that made you like him more;

- Shaun has to make you do things, don't you want to take a bath? Even if he's going to give you a bath, you're going to take it! Don't you want to eat your vegetables? My friend expects a little speech and puppy-dog eyes for you;

- When you don't sit still, he has to turn on the TV and put on some cartoon to intrigue you, or give you some gum to chew;

- Since you are the demon who is the personification of the fear of blood, and you love blood, Shaun makes an exception with you to bite you to drink your blood;

- Shaun has started to create a fetish of his bites, when you bite his shoulder to get his blood out, this man almost gets hard;

- When you two decide to go out, Shaun sometimes thinks about putting a leash on you, since you are never quiet, always running around and being rude;

- When he has work that involves acting he brings you along, since he doesn't trust you too much to be alone at home;

- After a fight that invoked the demon of darkness, you were no longer the same, crying with fear in corners, not eating properly, and living in fear of the dark, when Shaun sees this, this man's heart begins to ache, for he wants your chaotic energy back, so this man will do anything for you;

"You are crying from fear, you were always clinging to Shaun because of fear.

When he turned off the lights you screamed in Panic.

He would want you to come back with your happiness and unending energy that you had before, he would hug you to calm you down, if it is possible he would take the meow and the little moon pie to keep you company.

But nothing could bring you back to the normal you were.

At bedtime, Shaun was lying in bed, with the two cats on top of him, and soon he sees you approaching him, his eyes filled with tears.

"can I sleep with you? Please!" You speak in a sly voice.

That made that man's heart squeeze, then he knocks at the corner of the bed, where you are supposed to lie down, the one with black hair with blue tips sees you approach and lie down on the bed at your side, then you hug him tightly.

"Shaun... I'm scared, what if he shows up again! Around him I feel so weak! So weak.... How will I protect you now?"

When you said that, Shaun hugged you with the same strength that you used on him, were you worried about him? That was so sweet of you.

" Calm down my love, I promise he won't come back, I promise "

Soon you enjoyed the comfortable silence, feeling each other's body heat "

- With that, you have become extremely attached to him; is he in the bathroom? You are there, even if it is strange;

- It is quite fun to hear you talk about love and peace, and that violence is never the answer, but rather a question, and sometimes the answer is yes;

- Every once in a while he catches you wearing his clothes;

- He loves the fact that you touch his hair, feel your fingers on his curls of hair;

- You like to pick him up and put him on your lap;

" Nick was sitting on the couch, watching some random thing on television, when just out of nowhere he feels her hands on his waist and lifted up, and soon sitting on his lap.

This caught him off guard, his pale face turned extremely red, he was blushing, because he had enjoyed that gesture of hers.

"Our love, like this... So suddenly" he says a bit clumsily.

Well he didn't know how you looked or your expressions, since you were wearing that bubonic plague doctor mask, to contain your powers, but soon he realized that you were joking, since you started laughing.

"Now, you fool, I want you to be closer to me! Can't I do that with my boyfriend?"

Okay, you broke Nick"

- It's extremely fun to hang out with you;

- You are a great listener, always listening to Nick and having a dynamic conversation with him;

- Even though it's something new and different for him, this shy man likes you;

joseph Cullman with Devil Control reader (as Makima)

- This is all new, especially with him, so take it slow;

- For you he is a very good, obedient puppy, of course you find him inferior to you, but you enjoy his company, he is pleasant, and you have come to love him, so you won't let anyone get in the way of your relationship, because Joseph belongs to you;

- This man will be extremely clingy with you, since you attract a lot of unwanted glances;

- Joseph loves the fact that you have several dogs, even though they are Seberian huskies they are extremely calm and behaved when they are with you;

- When some mother hits on him backstage, Joseph is incredibly uncomfortable, he doesn't know how to react or what you're going to think, but you're just with a friendly smile on your face and saying that kind of thing happens, and you trust him purely, but little does he know what you're going to do about it, possibly this mother is going to wake up the next day with some broken body part, or some dismembered limb or possibly not wake up at all the next day;

- Ok the relationship is a bit toxic on your part, but it is your first time in a relationship like this, so you are trying your best;

He gave you a silly smile.

"I guess I should reward you for being a great kid"

what’s the königxreader fic you talking about where reader kidnaps him?

Context, anon is referencing this mini ramble I had (and have apparently deleted w/o remembering??) about how I enjoy dark fiction from a purely psychological and analytical level rather than romanticism.

I mentioned reading a könig/reader fic where m!reader kidnaps könig, it read like a short psychological thriller movie for a bit. Kinda reminded me of the icks I got from moments in Saltburn (which was a pretty good movie).

The last chapter I ever read from it was smut and I don't exactly know if I should be spreading content I don't fully endorse so I'll only drop the title under all the discussion I have on it below since I think it's important to keep what I'm saying in mind.

It's a fic that mildly glorifies its themes, and I have since dropped it in all honesty. It's like when you consume the fictional depiction of something bad for entertainment but there comes a point where you're like "Okay how much can I emotionally/mentally profit from this without supporting what it actually stands for". Because I mean like, I write about military people and fictional killers but I don't actually like the military, and real-life killers are fucking disgusting, like that stuff is really obvious. But this fic kinda blurs the lines, you know what I mean?? So yeah I just kinda stopped.

Slight TW for mentions of abuse, obsession, and I will be discussing one of the overarching themes of the fic vaguely.

Frankly, the only reason I read it in the first place was because of how I was fascinated at how fucked up of a character the reader was, reading off more like a psychological thriller antagonist working off of his delusions. I loved the metaphors of the relationship dynamic being that of a dog and its owner, how deeply disturbing it was to see the reader using this to justify his every action. It reminded me of Makima, from Chainsaw Man and Oliver from Saltburn because (SPOILERS - skip the next paragraph to avoid)

—Makima groomed Denji, she is the control devil, and her relationship with Denji is that of a dog and its owner as well. Yet what makes her different is that she is an obvious villain in the end, it's the whole point of the end of the first part. Same can be said with Oliver, he's not a good person either and Saltburn emphasizes the theme is how romantic obsession can consume a person. Manipulation and twisted power dynamics are what they share with the story.

I mean the fic itself was like a car crash you can't help but to look at. The mental deterioration of both characters was well written, except,

well I mean I can't forget that this is a fic romanticizing abuse and not a fictional case study exploring the horrors of romantic obsession and the human mind, that it's a twisted romance and not a twisted thriller. And especially after the smut chapter, yeah no I'm good from there.

If you stumble across the fic Puppy for Adoption, I guess read it with caution? I have to give props to the quality of the writing, moments had me turning my nose yet wondering what was in store for these characters. But I can't quite recommend supporting it with how its writing intentions are kinda morally blurred.

S.Q. and Stihl

S.Q.'s parents were suffering in debt due to S.Q.'s mother having an illness. To top that, S.Q.'s father gambled a lot. His parents would always fight, S.Q. always tried to be loyal, scared he'd end up like his sister. Until one night, the fight got so heated S.Q.'s father killed his mother. S.Q.'s father looked at the dead body, realizing what he had done. He looked at S.Q. running away, he was running for his life. One of his father's "friends" asked where his father was. S.Q. told them everything, when they went to the house, they saw S.Q.'s father had committed suicide. During the funeral, one of his father's "friend" told S.Q. to pay his father's debt or else he'd be sent to the secret room (a fairy tale Soviet mother's told to kids if they misbehave/more on that later) like his sister. His father's debt was 24,383,015₽ overall, at that S.Q. felt like giving up. He was still 15 years old, after all. There he met a chainsaw looking devil, it was dying as well. Young S.Q. who knew nothing of the consequences told the devil to bite him, as he had heard that devils can regenerate with blood.

Constance was one of the kids in the secret room. She was discovered by Nick and nicked her. (pun intended) When Ledropatha found out about Constance's powers (her powers functioned like the Whisperer) he trained her, and treated her like his own child.

Kate

Kate's mother died giving birth to her, she only had her father left who after an accident couldn't touch her anymore. But, 3 year old Kate was already used to it. One day, something happened, she couldn't recall. It was dark and next thing she was with a woman named Rhonda. When the time became right, Rhonda explained to Kate how her dad was killed by a devil, which made Kate join Public Safety as Rhonda's student.

Constance and S.Q. knows Russian, at first, they had difficulties learning English when they worked at Public Safety, but they got the hang of it.

THE LAST SPY X FAMILY EP WAS 👌🏻 *chefs kiss*. DAMIEN’S WHOLE INTERACTION WITH TWILIGHT??? IMPECCABLE. ANYA FALLING ASLEEP IMMEDIATELY AFTER TRYING TO WAIT FOR ‘THE BAD GUY’?? ICONIC. TWILIGHT’S SHIFT FROM SPY TO MAN TO LOID FORGER AND BACK AGAIN???? ABSOLUTELY STUNNING.

Seriously though, I enjoy this anime so much and I want to start reading the manga so bad. I got a copy of the first chainsaw man for Christmas so I’m super excited about that, but damn… Spy x Family has my whole heart. So excited for the next season.

ALSO I hope we see more of Yor. Her story is so interesting and her characterization is too. We didn’t see any of Yor in the last ep which was a bit sad, she deserves the world.

I just finished Chainsaw Man's first Arc and I am not normal about it so I need to let it out.

Also warning for major spoilers down here.

First of all, I fucking hate people commenting their ignorance on Instagram under posts of Denji and Power bathing together naked.

Listen.

I don't think any of you understood the meaning of that chapter.

After the literal hell they experienced, Power was terrified. Terror was the only thing she could feel. Fear. Paranoia.

And who are here for her?

Her family.

I don't give a crap if they bather naked. Dude. Have you any idea how... vulnerable that moment was?

Denji declined a solo trip with Makima because he was worried about Power. Because he didn't want to let her (or Aki) alone after what happened.

Now you can tell me "that's not sibling love, it's romantic/sexual because they did this and that". Look, you can have your own opinion, but I have mine and this post is me explaining my point.

Denji looked after Power, looked that there was no darkness in her mouth or behind her, he made her eat, they took a bath together because Power was so scared to be left alone, slept together and Not👏a single👏 time👏 Denji thought it was sexual/romantic.

Dude even says it out loud for you to understand it.

I'm sorry if you expected a hyper realistic sibling dynamic copy pasted from your sad realistic life, but-

This was literally two broken people, who never experienced a normal life, giving comfort to each other.

Did they want to kiss or fuck in that bathtub? Hell no.

In the bed? They were literally jusy sad, scared and tired. Hello??????

Power let Denji drink her blood because she thought Denji would hate her for making him stay to look after her instead of going out with Makima.

If your sibling (brother/sister) were terrified after a traumatic event and were afraid to even poop alone, don't you stay with them? If they are afraid of being alone in the bathroom, don't you stay with them?? I'll be DAMNED if you find it wrong to sleep in the same bed with your sibling because you're the opposite gender.

If you think it's weird, I've got news for you: Your mind is fucked up!

And the whole giving blood thing because Denji would hate her (spoiler: he would not, but oh well) is obviously cause, DUH, this is Chainsaw Man,

It's not exactly the best most healthy and positivity and flowers and happiness manga. There is not even a slight hint of anything NOT toxic, because surprise! It's a seinen! And fictional! With the purpose of entertainment!

You know what's one single pure thing about all of this? The Denji and Power sibling vulnerability chapter.

You'll have to take them siblings from my cold dead hands.

Sometimes I wonder if I would have liked Makima…if I didn't drop Chainsaw Man…and if I didn't watch spoilers. She's got that cool trench coat. I love long, black coats. I also love a woman in a suit, without hyperfeminized tailoring. And sometimes, she reminds me of other characters I love, that everyone hates.

Like Kikyo. I love a character who isn't really good or bad, but is also kind of both? Just really ambiguous allegiances/motivations. At least, that's what I always liked about manga-Kikyo. (The anime made some slight changes to make her more unambiguously a villain, early in the series. But that kind of backfired when the later story arcs kind of needed that conflicted empathy for the plot points to work. lol)
