The comment I left on Watcher's "Goodbye to YouTube": I really enjoy your videos. Like many, I can't justify subscribing to a paid service just to watch your single channel.
Nebula is a paid subscription service made of multiple youtube channels, and I debate about getting that one. "Debate" is the key word, because I don't have a nebula membership yet. There's not enough content to justify a Watcher exclusive membership for me. It is definitely not worth it when compared to nebula with over 20 different youtube channels.
Rooster Teeth (RIP) used to have a subscription service that showed their episodes a week early to paid members. It was inconvenient as a free viewer, but it felt like a good inbetween. Patient people could still see the episodes later, and it kind of built FMO to want a Rooster Teeth membership. Completely blocking most of your videos to the general public will result in a decline in viewership, because there won't be enough free content to draw people in. Rooster teeth's free content on youtube was essentially like an advertisement for their "exclusive" subcription. Furthermore, Rooster Teeth's service was not as "exclusive" as Watcher will be either, because they had several channels (Achievement Hunter, Animated RT, SlowMoGuys, etc) involved in it.
So RTXLondon was amazing, I had such a good time with a great community
Here is a poster I made for the occasion (with all the people I knew were going prior to the event)
