what I find most wild about sm:homecoming is that people will watch it and decide Toomes is a hero of the working class because he made a few valid points while basically shrugging his shoulders and saying “well if you can’t beat them, join them.” he got wealthy by putting dangerous and unpredictable weapons in the hands of whoever would pay him the most.

2020 just makes me wish Spider-Man was real. Sure he couldn't fix all of the shit that's gone down, but it'd be nice to have him there, you know? Just doing his best to support people. Worst comes to worse he'd probably have some good jokes about the situation or a nice pep talk. Maybe it's just a weird coping mechanism habit thing I have but I always figured, if I lived in a world where Spidey was real, that it'd be comforting to know he had our backs. When all the people that were supposed to protect you fail at their jobs, whether through ignorance, negligence, or maliciousness, Spider-Man would be there. It's a nice thought, I think.
