Enclosure and abundant planting. This garden has old-world charm with its mass of flower color and its feeling of seclusion. The terrace is enclosed and has a relaxed feel with plants allowed to spread into the jointing of the random stone.
New releases have slowed to a trickle this time of the year. No worries - fellow Bandcampers have swooped in to save the day by buying music. Over the course of the next few days, I will be posting releases that I "discovered" by poaching others recent purchases.
800 Cherries was a Sapporo, Japan band that reminds me of The High Llamas and BMX Bandits. The Bandcamp write-up mentions Stereolab and others. This was originally issued in 1999, and now KiliKiliVilla (Tokyo, Japan) is reissuing it.
BONUS: Here is a link to a split cassette of two Japanese bands: Keichi & The Coconut Groove and Small Garden.
Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without squash and pumpkins! Here you can see my squash and pumpkin plants growing in large pots in a sunny spot against the wall of the stables on my property. The gravel French drain also helps keep the area dry and hygienic for the developing fruits.
The more produce you can grow up the better spacing you can get. Things like tomatoes do extremely well trellises up instead of wide cages so you can get twice as many plants in the same Sq footage.
Making sure your tomatoes are indeterminate variety so they grow tall, they can easily grow over 6 feet tall and produce as much or more as tomatoes kept in cages. Just use twine or garden velvo to attach the plant as it grows, and remove the suckers or shoots so it doesn't grow out but up instead.
One of our favorite parts of gardening is discovering the many different varieties of fruits and vegetables. This is a picture of our variegated snow peas in all of their beautiful purple and green glory 💜💚
