SELF PUBLISHED AND SMALL PRESS AUTHORS: CHECK YOUR AMAZON PAGES

Recently I found out that my book was just gone. Completely wiped from Amazon. My author page said I never published anything. I got word from my publisher that this was a glitch with Amazon and they were working on fixing it. That was three days ago, and my book is not back up.

According to my publisher, small presses (between 200 to 1000 books) randomly had several titles “dropped” from Amazon.

My worry is that this may have also affected self published books that are only sold through Amazon. Please go check and make sure your work is still up. Even if just to make sure.

I pulled this book for a project at work and never have I jumped on the Abebooks website so fast to see if there was another copy of a book for sale as I did after I flipped through it.

I have been keeping aquariums for 30 years now, and this will be a great addition to my personal collection of Books About Fish!

“Shallows of the Sea” was printed by Lamar College’s “Blotter Press” in 1966. It contains many lovely silkscreened images of freshwater fish (including many species familiar to the aquarium trade).

I can’t wait for my copy to arrive in the mail!

Serpentine is now live on Kickstarter!

This collection of poems by Tara K. Shepersky features loads of full-page watercolor illustrations by me and gorgeous printing from our publisher, Bored Wolves. (You can even grab our first collaboration, Tell the Turning, as part of the campaign.)

The book is a love letter to a particular river in Northern California, and to Tara's peregrinations from north to south along various highways and byways over the course of her lifetime. Her work is contemplative, rich, tender, and full of love. I'm so excited for people to read it.

You can see some of the pieces I've completed so far up above (plus that otter painting I already shared, which will be a little bookmark). The sketch below is our current pass at the cover.

A collection of poems written between 2015 and 2023 that mystifies the regular and tackles the distance of recollecting relationships both big and small, "Holy Cider Broken Bell" meanders with poems and illustrations in hand to identify landscapes of concrete and day light while thinking aloud in a commute of sincerity and calm.

Originally printed as a Christmas gift to Ian's partner Sandrusia, this 2nd edition features gold leafing front + back covers on emerald green 65lb cardstock. The interior text and illustrations are risograph printed with burgundy ink on pearl white 24lb paper.
