New years eve fit for staying in. For this outfit I paired a gray flat cap, round brown tortoise shell patterned glasses, a gray suit jacket, black ringer t-shirt, white pants cuffed to meet the top of my shoes, and black formal skate sneakers. Well... been a while, hasn't it, fashion fans?
Much like one may hear Michael Dunlop approaching the mountain at the IoM TT before you see him, we too here at MRWSC were alert to the siren call of the latest oh so smart-cahsh ensemble from our favourite bikey TV host Matthew Roberts.
Here we have Matt serving some cliffside realness amongst the flora of the Isle of Man. Granted, it took us a while to spot him, and personally, we haven't seen a man in green trousers since... the last time Matt wore green trousers. (Miss you, NH69 ❤️).
Here though, it works perfectly. Giving hues of moss, of lichen, of the weeds on our patio; Matt blends into the terrain in a way a TA volunteer could only dream of.
In contrast, the navy polo shirt is a strong, almost threatening look. The Irish Sea behind him may look peaceful, but the choice of a darker, more dangerous blue shows that Matt is not a man to shy away from the realities of its murkier, stormier waters.
We also note that in true vintage motorsport presenting style, he's taking a leaf out of Jim Rosenthal's book and bravely keeping it buttoned right up to the chin. Sublime.
Some might say that blue and green should never be seen. We say that we're thrilled to see that the turn-ups reveal just enough of a baby blue sock. Cheeky!
Oh Matt. How we've missed casting our affectionate judgement on you. Don't ever change.
