18.07.21 • I started journaling in my target language, aka german! The goal here is to accept mistakes and to avoid overthinking the process. My main objective is to summarize my days and express my feelings while trying to be as fluid as possible. By the end of each week, I'm planning on rereading my notes with a more critical eye to makes annotations and learn some new vocabulary to describe my routine. Harvest season also started x

finals season is upon us and i am in real danger of failing all at least two of my courses. one of them is intro to study of literature which i am taking for credit so if i fail it will not be the end of the world but i would rather not. the other is my feminist and queer theory course. i have not turned in a single assignment for this class yet. each response paper is worth 15% of my grade and the spillers one was due weeks ago. as was my final paper proposal. i am intending to major in gender studies and taking another course with this professor next semester so this is actually really fucking bad.
god willing, i’ll finish my paper on spillers by morning and email it to the professor along with my project proposal. and then spend tomorrow writing my butler paper, and sunday/monday on my sedgwick paper. or i could go lay facedown in the woods and forget about college idk it’s sounding more and more like a good idea every day.

6/100 days of productivity. Tons of work (for courses and for my campus jobs) today, but I’m trying to stay on top of it all. The weekend (and eventually spring break) are just around the corner though!!!! Trying so hard to hold on

Hi folks. So I’m a relatively small presence on here as a studyblr but I just wanted to quickly talk about my little Etsy shop. I started making vegan confectionery for my friends a couple of years ago and now make zero-waste confectionery boxes where every part of the package you receive can either be curb-side recycled or composted. We do nine different flavours of vegan fudge, plus vegan caramels and a really cute gift wrapping option. If you are based in the UK, it would mean a lot to me if you have a look!

Monday, March 22, 2021 // study with me
I took this week off of work to study for my upcoming Conduct and Practices Handbook exam. I've come close to passing twice now but have fallen short by about 4-5 questions both times. This is the last time I'll be able to write this exam before having to purchase the whole course again so fingers crossed I'll be able to pass this time! Passing would mean an increase in my pay as well as my securities license.
While I'll be studying urban and regional planning this fall (whether in college or university) and I'll be transitioning to a career in this field within the next 2-3 years, I want to be able to financially support myself through school. I don't want to take out additional student loans so I'll be relying primarily on my own savings and whatever grants, bursaries, and scholarships I can get my hands on. If you know of any scholarships open to Canadian residents age 25+ please send me a DM!

14.10.21 • Earlier this month, I officially became a student again! At 26, and while working as a freelance illustrator, I'm now also a sociology student. I'm still adjusting to this new routine, and my planning could definitely be tidier, but it's a work in progress I'm aiming to resolve by early November x
If you're curious, the classes I'm taking are: introduction to human sciences ; introduction to sociology ; sociological perspectives on contemporary French society ; demographic and social data

1/100 days of productivity featuring some reading for my anthro seminar. I’m restarting this tag bc I didn’t finish it last time and because I am a second semester senior in college and I NEED the motivation, haha.

Here to bring you another fantastic Youtube channel in Arabic! Haki Nasawi حكي نسوي is a very cool Youtube channel by Sarah Kaddoura discussing ‘history, theory, and social commentary from a feminist perspective’. The channel and videos are very well produced and include subtitles in both Arabic and English. An excellent way to get informed and expand your vocabulary!
