do you have any odd symptoms of covid?

Some could probably be considered odd.

My voice turned very deep and rough due to the coughing and mucus in my throat, and I sounded like the dragon from The Hobbit for a few days. Although @consultjohnwatson found that quite amusing and kept making voice recordings while I was spitting and threatening like a fire breathing reptile. My temperature for sure made me feel as if I could breathe fire.

On a less amusing note, I now got stomach issues and nausea, probably a gastritis, due to the medication and the stress of the disease and fast.

My nose was completely blocked and congested for a few days, and no matter how long I blew my nose it just wouldn't stop, with results of various shades of colours including bright neon yellow to orange (probably a popped blood vessel). I was very light sensitive as well and no don't mention the vampire thing again.

Also suffered from headaches and melalgia, which still sometimes occur now as well as exhaustion. I still don't operate at optimal capacity yet, but it's much better.

This is the story of how Bilbo Baggins got a second chance. After Bilbo Baggins breathes his last breath, he awakens back in bag end, many many years before his quest to Erebor would even take place. Bilbo must prepare and face the foes that are bound to come for him and his second chance at changing his destiny and the fates of his friends. Though his whole plan gets ruined when a rather familiar dwarf and his family roll into the Shire and decide to stay for a while. This reweaving of history is going to be a lot more complicated than he originally though. Fuck you Yvanna.

This takes place post Smaug taking Erebor, and I’m not great with hobbit and Dwarf life conversion so you’ll just have to bare with me, I’m imagining Bilbo is around 14 and Thorin is around 15 in human years

People!!! Esp @fortunes-unfavored and @two-randomwords and my many friends from (city of heroes) Homecoming RP :3

Demons!! I love researching religious beliefs in general, but the occult practices around demons are of particular interest to me, I can go on for quite a while about tracing the evolution of the manuscripts that produced the Ars Goetia and such. Also simply love the aesthetics.

Dragons! My first love. I used to constantly try different magic tricks to turn myself into one. I even spent like a year sleeping on a massive pile of coins - fun fact: you do actually have to peel them off of yourself in the morning! Idk if Tolkein tested it himself or simply guessed well, but I consider Smaug's treasure armor plausible! Also shout out to one of my favorite dragon books: Seraphina!

Writing! I love the process of storycrafting, and I put a hell of a lot of work into my stories, but it's really not out of a fear of failure, I'm just enthusiastic about the puzzle that is making all the plot threads and the character beats come together to produce the art that I want to make.

Comics! I adore the medium in general; it is hands down my favorite kind of art to view/read a story through. If I ever manage to find a way to draw quickly, I might like to make a fan comic of my own someday or just straight up make my own webcomic. I also really like a lot of DC comics. It's honestly pretty damn rare for me to pick one up and be truly dissatisfied. I seek out merits in the same way I seek out flaws. It's fun to pick a story apart to see what went right, what resonated, and what felt good about it. idk comics are just fun!

Do you have a favourite movie then? Do you enjoy movies with no relation to reality, like fantasy movies? My train of thought here is that if what bothers you about it the cinema is emotions pushed on the public and the inacuracies maybe movies that can't be inaccurate are more your speed.

Most movies are inaccurate and filled with special effects that do not resemble the real things. And even though fantasy movies are mostly completely impossible, I do endure them, because most often they are less inaccurate than some action movie where someone walks away with both his eardrums still intact after there was an explosion right next to him without his body being filled with shrapnel. So I rather endure the things which are completely impossible than the one's which are possible but blatanlty inaccurate, as that infuriates me more. And it is interesting to contemplate whether some things from fantasy movies would potentially be possible if evolution had taken a different path, for example dragons. Would flying fire breathing lizards be possible? They could have created fire by expelling flammable gas from their digestive tract out of their mouths and igniting it with a chemical reaction, if they existed.

I do endure The Hobbit movies, because I do like the little hobbit, he seems comforting, and the dragon just seems very relatable as everyone around him is an idiot and everyone dislikes him. And sometimes I would like to set everything on fire as well. However I do not acknowledge the existence of a third part, for me it is only a dilogy. I also do not dislike the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

One of the only action movies I endure are the James Bond movies, although they are completely inaccurate, John showed them to me during our first few weeks of having moved in together.

Ooh that's a tough one! Pre-Tumblr I'll always have a soft spot for Redwall where I started rp; Disney was a fun one in the age of forums, and POTC brought me together with some of the most important people in my life!

Doctor Who and Marvel are givens as the two communities I've interacted with most here, but I've got a very fond place in my heart for the Hobbit/LOTR community around the time of Desolation of Smaug being out. The community was incredibly friendly, welcoming and creative - it was a blast and I miss it tons!
