Favorite season: Spring! The first time it’s sunny and above 65 after endless winter is one of the top ten human experiences. Plus it’s means green growing things and rain storms with lots of worm friends :)

Comfort foods: homemade Mac & cheese and a rotisserie chicken. I also have a tradition of going to get a heath milkshake from cookout at the end of a long school or work week.

Do you collect anything: smooth and interesting looking sticks. I have eight now. I unintentionally collect art supplies(I need to find something else to ask for in Secret Santas). I am also fond of noting down any words I particularly like such as snicked, razzmatazz, and galactica.

Favorite drink: favorite warm drink is a London fog. My college cafe used Hubbard and Craven’s earl grey de la crème and I have yet to find a brand that can compare TT^TT Favorite cold drink is a iced latte with rasberry, chocolate, and mint syrup. Strange combination but it works somehow.

Favorite music artists: ahhh too many. 21 Pilots, Cosmo Sheldrake, Vexento(electronic music), Imagine Dragons, Alec Benjamin, Fall Out Boy, and Joe Hisaishi(the guy who did a bunch of the studio ghibli scores).

Current Favorite songs: “Lotus” and “Always” by Vexento; My Dream, My Addiction by Fish in a Birdcage; Coastline by Hollow Coves; and I’m Here by Aiobahn

Favorite fics: favorite Avatar: The Last Airbender fic is I Promised You No Such Thing As Heaven by wanderNavi, truly phenomenal world building and spirit shenanigans; Favorite Percy Jackson fic is Tragedies & Time by thein273, a lovely take on bitter, morally grey Percy; Favorite Marvel fic is The Hollows by ealcynn, scratches every post-Captain America: The Winter Soldier itch I ever had; Favorite Naruto fic is Paper Moon by Anjelle, My go-to comfort fic <3; Favorite My Hero Acadamia fic is throw me a goddamn rope by mutalune, peak dadzawa.

hello margot i have been curious about this forever but never had the brain cells to ask -- what does the 302.0 in your bio mean?

oh wow i’m glad someone finally asked about that! 😂

It’s a reference to the song Glad To Be Gay by Tom Robinson Band! 302.0 was the code tied to homosexuality when it was still classified in the international classification of diseases as a mental disorder. Tom Robinson mentions this at the start of the song and “dedicates” it to the world health organisation. I just love the song. (i did a paper on it for my history class my senior year) I think when I added the 302.0 (which was like three years ago so i don’t really remember) it was because i was afraid of my family or whatever finding my blog so i didn’t want to outright put my sexuality in my bio but i did kind of need to add that for my own sake because it was the only place i was able to be “out” at the time - if only through code. 

I’ve thought about removing it a few times because it’s literally only for me and i knew it might confuse people but I just find it somehow means a lot to me still. 

In short: the 302.0 in my bio basically means ‘Glad To Be Gay’.
