The Tale of 2 Very Different Revolvers
Tumblr media
I’ve always been a revolver fan. Some of the very first wheelguns I ever laid my hands on as a young lad were single action rimfire revolvers. My father had an old nickel plated Colt Peacemaker in .22 magnum as well as an old Ruger Bearcat .22 long rifle. These were perfect handguns for a youngster to cut his teeth on and get familiar with firearms and handguns in particular. Some years later as an adult, my father actually gave me my first revolver which I still own today. It’s an ex service revolver, the Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 15 in .38 Special. I actually learned to reload on that particular revolver. Fast forward to present time and this past year brought the revolver interest in me back out to the forefront. Earlier this year I picked up a Smith & Wesson 629 Deluxe 6.5” chambered in .44 Magnum from Brownells. Just this week I picked up a second Smith & Wesson Model 629 from Brownells, but this one is something quite different than the one from earlier this year. Quite the opposite to be exact.
Tumblr media
The 629 Deluxe came with very nice wood grips, a full lug barrel, pinned front sight and case colored wide trigger and hammer. It’s one gorgeous wheelgun in stock form. Because of how stout the .44 magnum cartridge is in a handgun, I did opt to swap out the grips for a set of Hogue grips for a more pleasurable shooting experience, for my hand at least especially when running those hotter loads. Along with the grips I changed the springs out for a set of lighter Wolff springs from Brownells in order to lighten up the double action trigger pull ever so slightly. Ever since I picked up that revolver I’ve been on the hunt for a second revolver in .44 magnum. I truly enjoy reloading and shooting this heavy hitter. So just recently Brownells got the 629 2.5” Performance Center model in stock. As soon as I saw it, I placed an order as these don’t come in stock all too often.
Tumblr media
When the newest 629 Performance Center showed up, it’s immediately apparent that it will in fact hurt to shoot for an extended amount of time, but this revolver is made for a totally different purpose. Visually it’s different with it’s matte finish, shorter wood grips, narrower hammer spur and trigger, slab side barrel and non fluted cylinder. The 2.5” barrel will surely make for some awesome fireball as well! This revolver is truly made for a self defense or even concealed carry scenario. Maybe even an outdoor expedition where you require something much more than your standard cartridge. It’s definitely not meant to be shot a ton at any range session unless maybe you’re running the pleasant .44 Special loads through it.
Tumblr media
Both of these revolvers are in different classes, but both have very nice craftsmanship as one would expect from the folks over at Smith & Wesson. I suspect there’s going to be some future revolvers being added into the collection as time and money allows.

Kinktober Day 7
Kink: Gun Play with Jongho
Warnings: Mafia Boss! Jongho, slight dom/sub dynamics, suggestive content, light slapping, mentions of smoking, pet names, verrrrrrrry slight degradation... I think that's it.
Author's Note: Like I said, classwork is starting to build up a little from midterms but I plan on catching up and writing all the fics I have planned for Kinktober. Be patient with me ✨
Also, I imagine Jongho how I wrote him in a profile a long time ago (tagged below). Finally, give my fics (masterlist in bio) and other Kinktober posts some love as well. now... please enjoy ze action ✨
Kinktober 2021
Twilight Noir
~
Everything’s black. You attempt to look around but can’t see anything beyond the blindfold over your eyes. You try to move your hands to move it, but they are bound behind you.
You feel eyes on you but don’t know whose. Jongho is sitting in front of you, dressed in a light plaid grey suit. Legs spread open with a lit Cuban-style cigar in one hand and a gun.
He takes a drag of the smoke stick and lets the puff flow out of his mouth – light, white smoke swirls dancing out. He huffs, pushing out the rest of the smoke, and stands up to walk around you.
As you hear the footsteps stop in front of you, you get shivers down your spine in anticipation and fear of what is going to happen. You feel Jongho bring his hand to your face, fingers rubbing down your face – to which you flinch away from, your breathing speeds up
Jongho raised his brow at that and removes the blindfold. You make contact with your captor, and the first thing that pops in is that he’s handsome. Very handsome.
You start to unsubtly scan down his body until you see the gun. Jongho notices and smiles as you become unsure if he can hear your heart beating out of your chest.
“Isn’t she a beauty? Smith and Wesson, Model 629. She gets the privilege of holding one and only one bullet.” He says, standing straight to admire the metal handpiece twinkling in the dull moonlight.
Jongho looks back at you and brings the barrel of the gun to your lips. Your lips separate instantly, causing him to raise a brow at the action.
“What’s a pretty face like you doing wandering the streets at night? Don’t you know someone would love to snatch you up, cub?” He taunts, shoving the barrel in your mouth. You gag at the taste of gunpowder lightly dusted on the gun.
“I don’t know if you’ll be able to handle what I have to offer you, but you would look even better on your knees with my cock down your throat, spit dripping all over your chest, with those big pretty eyes, welled with tears, staring up at me.” He vocally imagines as he moves the gun in and out of your mouth.
The image makes its way in his head, and he blinks it away to see that his hand is covered in saliva, your eyes have slightly softened, and your thighs are slightly rubbing together.
A devious glint appears in his eye as he lets out a light chuckle.
“You’re enjoying this, aren’t you? Awww, you dirty little cub… we’re gonna have some fun.” He says, lightly smacking your cheek.

EDC Revolver…
Tumblr media
Revolvers are one of the oldest style of pistols there is in the world today. Despite there being vast improvements on the handgun or handheld gun, the revolver still has a spot in a lot of people’s hearts and mind. But should it be considered for your EDC firearm? Last year I jumped back into revolvers after taking probably a decade long hiatus. I picked up 2 Smith & Wesson 629 revolvers from Brownells….one of which is a serious contender for an EDC pistol or at least an occasional carry piece. The Smith & Wesson Model 629 Performance Center 2.5” is big, but centered around a defensive role and one that I intend to explore further. So let’s dive into the world of revolvers for concealed carry or EDC.
Tumblr media
If anyone ever says that you can’t use one firearm or another for your personal protection in and EDC or concealed carry role you should first take a look at where they’re coming from and what they carry on a daily basis. In today’s world you have the vast majority of people vying after those tuperware striker fired pistols for their daily protection. Think of Glock 19s, Sig P320 and Smith & Wesson M&P series pistols. These pistols have a lighter weight generally speaking and carry quite a bit more ammunition. Your typical Glock 19 pistol carries 15 rounds of 9MM for example. 9MM is a formidable cartridge these days due to the vast improvements on ammunition technology. A revolver carries typically 5-6 shots, but some of them carry 7 or even 8 in some revolver versions. The ammunition performance also varies in revolvers. The 38 Special cartridge is probably the most common and is anemic when compared to 9MM, but many people choose to utilize the better ballistics of a .357 Magnum or .327 magnum. Reloading is also quicker with a striker fired pistol than a revolver. A speed loader like the ones made by HKS from Brownells can be used to reload a revolver much quicker of course.
Tumblr media
With the main 2 differences between a revolver and striker fired pistol out of the way, when does a revolver make sense? They make great simple pocket carry pistols for the Summer time. Just grab and go. Most altercations don’t end with a long gun fight but rather just a couple of shots fired to neutralize the situation. 5-6 shots in most cases is plenty. When it comes to the larger magnum calibers, these pack quite the punch and can stop an aggressor with one well placed shot. The drawback of course for the magnum calibers is a heavier revolver is required most of the time and the felt recoil is substantially more. When hiking or hunting something like a .44 Magnum is preferred when in bear country. One thing a revolver has over a striker fired pistol is simplicity of use.
Tumblr media
So are revolvers a viable EDC option? Absolutely! There’s plenty of situations that warrant a revolver for a defensive piece. Regardless of what you choose to carry, be sure to train properly and select and appropriate holster so that you can carry your firearm comfortably.

charles derane’s apocalypse verse notes.
basics.
codename: hawthorne -- this is a name/nickname he will occasionally use when he does not feel like going by his actual name. height: six feet four inches weight: 274 lbs (formerly 295 lbs) transportation: 2001 Dodge Ram - Black (looks)
appearance:
standing at 6’4”, charles is massive in size and along those lines, incredibly imposing in posture – straight and ready unless otherwise required. not only that, but his build packs 274 lbs of muscle/fat that he’s had even before the outbreak and he’s been very careful to maintain at all possible costs. while it’s true that he had the weight lost typical of survivors, he remains hefty and able to endure and perform physical tasks with ease. this is a skill developed from childhood, and charles has formidable dexterity and control of his body, moving through the environment with the speed necessary to outrun even the most feverish of zombies or fight them with melee weaponry. he has very broad shoulders and thick biceps and forearms, muscular legs, and a solid stomach and chest, even if it lacks tone. despite all this, he’s able to remain graceful, movements characterized by their stealth rather than flaunting his physical appearance with noise and clumsiness. when needed, his walking might as well be referred to as an experienced hunter’s prowl, used to both rural and urban scenarios to explore and navigate.
slightly sharper features have been the main toll taken by a lack of steady food source. the biggest change remains in his head, though; charles actually is incredibly survival-driven and apathetic toward anything that won’t ensure said survival. he doesn’t care about anything or anyone but himself, and he will make a point to show it. needless to say – he won’t be very friendly.
due to a lack of efficient razors, charles sports an unkempt dirty and bloody beard that he only maintains at bay with a knife but otherwise leaves to grow as extra protection in harsh temperatures. this makes a good job at covering the lower half of his face, filling out the spots where body fat or muscle lacks. his hair is messy, but consistently kept short by comparison – and surprisingly soft to the touch if ever actually touched. but it’s true; he neither is nor looks friendly, and if ever forced to speak, it’ll be in the form of gruff mumbles and a desire to keep the conversation as short as possible. there is no discernable accent in his voice, save a very rugged pitch and texture born from disuse, and the only hint at coming from somewhere is a shortening of words typical of the southern american dialect – found in his closest post-apocalypse allies, the beckett family.
tics are bound to be picked up if too much time is spent around him. while at first glance you won’t see nothing but a very large man you’d want nothing but to get away from, there is a cleverness to his eyes that makes it noticeable he is very aware of what happens around him and what happens to you. he will pick up on movements, expressions, with nigh perfect accuracy – and know the very moment you’re reaching for the gun tucked on your side or planning to propel forward for an offensive. he reads people before ever coming close to them, which is an important point to keep in mind – while he has no problem whatsoever with violence and even, at this point in his background, with killing, charles would rather keep things distant, and he’d rather you left him in peace. he tends to look around himself when idle, unconsciously even, as a remnant of situational awareness, and so coming from behind is nearly impossible.
on that same vein, other minor habits include adjusting and readjusting his pack and its straps; a lot of his supplies are in that bag, and he makes sure to check regularly that everything is in place and he can move without fear of losing it. he twists his neck and rolls his shoulders, cracks his knuckles when it is necessary, and might scratch his cheek and beard. when he speaks, he might sigh occasionally, and grunt even more so, nod and shake his head and gesture directions rather than mention them, clench his jaw when he doesn’t like how an exchange is going, raise an eyebrow when he’s questioning you, shrug to disregard your questions, purse his lips when he’s being thoughtful. people have met him and not heard him speak even once because of his taciturn nature, keeping to commands that he does need to elaborate on and that is it. when forced to speak at greater length, expect hostility and a sharp sarcasm that might take you off guard.
clothing wise the apocalypse does not allowfor anything but light packing, and his shirts are comfortable and visibly worn, sometimes torn. he has no attachments to any particular piece of clothing – with the exception of his jacket and his steel toe combat boots, and will not hesitate to switch clothings the second he sees an opportunity to do it. ever present is the pack strapped to his back along his shotgun, however. he will go for the comfortable and things that will last him, most commonly henleys or plaids, western cut. nothing colorful and in fact, probably dirty. long sleeves are preferable, given most deaths to zombies being due to an exposed limb. he does not care about how he looks under any normal circumstances, and how he looks like – like the lone survivor he is – isn’t his primary concern. if he ever cleaned up, he’d be much more handsome.
when found in close quarters to him, the smell of forest will be practically a staple, along with with sweat and grease, scents that have followed him. occasionally, smoke may be added, when he’s been near fire. such is the case with gun powder or blood, the latter which he washes away when he has the opportunity to.
skin deep, it is surprising that he does not sport any tattoos of note or at all. he has never been interested by the idea. what he does have, though, is scars in spades, some – many – dating back to his very childhood, teenagehood, and pre-apocalypse adulthood. his knuckles are very scarred, as are his arms and legs, with an assortment of prints left by experiences that range from simple falls to glass to blades. in his very face rests a cut on the bridge of his nose, and another on the left side of his cheek/jaw that leaves a thin scratch in his beard devoid of hair. another quite visible scar going across his right eye that took some eyebrow with it.

BACKGROUND / VERSE NOTES.
this information will be used interchangeably for any apocalypse/zombie themed scenario that presents themselves. hence i didn’t write about a single specific storyline.
charles is a rover and this is by choice. however, he does have alliances, most notably with the o’connell compound located in garnet, montana (click here for more information on it -- when i post it that is :^)).
charles usually acts as though he has no set role; however, this is false: his job is to track other settlements and map out other places of the united states to see how they’re doing, then relay this information back to the compound -- hence the journal he has on hand. he usually winds up there once every two to five months, depending on how far he wanders off. he will also hunt down rare supplies, and outline “no-go” zones, either because the place is swarmed or because the settlements are hostile.
this information is normally used with the purpose of establishing communication between the settlements, if charles deems it useful and favorable. this goes back to whether he finds the settlement in question trustworthy and reliable. not all of them cut it.
otherwise, he will never disclose the existence of the o’connell compound. you could set fire to his leg and he wouldn’t do it.
exceptions are only if he finds you alone and you’re a child. he will try to take you back to the compound so you’re safe.
in this verse charles is 49, and still a father. cael derane is 20 and living in garnet. he’s a trained medic and occasionally will tag along for specific situations.
charles is unfriendly and does not like to work with others but he is pragmatic first and foremost and if you present yourself useful then he will consider forming an alliance for however necessary he deems it. again, the presence of children and young (his kid’s age, basically) people does a lot to sway him. he is very fatherly.

How about Black dynamite?
Tumblr media
Name: Dead Man’s Party
Namesake: Dead Man’s Party (by Oingo Boingo)
Stand Master: Black Dynamite
Stand appearance: This stand is bound to a silver Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic revolver (seem pictured), with the initials “BD” on one side of the revolver’s grip and “DMP” on the other side.
Abilities: Dead Man’s Party seems to have an infinite amount of bullets, shooting out at an insane speed. One would need to be incredibly quick to dodge one of Dead Man’s Party’s bullets. On top of that the user seems to suffer no recoil, but that’s probably not the stand and because Black Dynamite is…well, Black Dynamite.

Virtua Cop 3 is the third game from Sega'sVirtua Coplight gun shooter franchise released exclusively for video arcades in 2003. The game is available in standard and deluxe cabinet formats and runs on Sega Chihiro arcade hardware. A port for the Xbox was planned, but cancelled.
Gameplay(edit)
The game retains the same gameplay as its predecessor with players shooting onscreen enemies using a gun controller. Virtua Cop 3 introduces a new slow-motion 'bullet time' mechanism called 'ES mode' which allows players to slow down time by stepping on a special pedal. While in ES mode, time slows down as the player's ES meter is depleted. The meter can be replenished by shooting more enemies.(1)
In the gaming industry, there is always a game that is released that sets a new bar in a particular genre. When one looks at the light gun and rail shooter genre, a genre that is famous for throwing a huge number of enemies on screen for players to shoot, one game redefined the genre. Airport Tycoon 3: free download; Virtua Cop 2 (Pc Game) June (3) May (1). Virtua Cop Free Download for PC (known as Virtua Squad for the North American Windows version) is a first-personlightgun shooter arcade game created by Sega. Kali ini saya akan berbagi Game Virtua Cop 2 Full Version Gratis.
Virtua Cop 3 also allows players to toggle between different weapons by pressing a button on the gun instead of having to use just one weapon, as in previous entries in the series.(2) The alternative weapons include the Smith & Wesson Model 629, Benelli M4 Super 90, H&K MP7, and the H&K G36C. Like the previous installments, players progress through the game choosing between three missions which vary in difficulty. The newly designed gun used in the game is named the Guardian II, and was designed by Tokyo Marui, famous for their model guns.
Story(edit)
Virtua Cop 3 has three chapters (referred to as Missions) which can be played in any desired order. The game follows Michael 'Rage' Hardy, James 'Smarty' Cools, and Janet Marshall, as they investigate three crimes performed by Virtua City's new crime syndicate, the ECM.
Simple Mission: Angel Allow(edit)
The ECM has taken over a large pharmacy building. Rage and Smarty are dispatched by the VCPD to apprehend the invaders and secure the building. During the pharmacy mission, Rage and Smarty encounter a mysterious man known as 'Gale', a ninja with unknown intentions. Proceeding deeper inside the pharmacy research lab, Rage and Smarty encounter a man named 'Glitter', who masterminded the invasion. While the VCPD manages to secure the pharmacy building, Janet receives disturbing information that the pharmacy's genetic cloning sample is missing.
Normal Mission: Stray Cat(edit)
The ECM is robbing a large bank in downtown Virtua City. The VCPD Riot Squad is no match for the ECM's munitions, prompting Rage and Smarty to assist the disadvantaged riot squad. Once Rage and Smarty spot Brand, the mastermind of the robbery, in the building, a chase ensues, but after Rage and Smarty endure the interference as they make their way out of the building, Gale interrupts them once again. Rage and Smarty survive Gale and pursue the bank robbers, ultimately being pushed towards the subway where Brand is hiding. The ultimate battle between the Virtua Cops and Brand ensues. At the end of the bank mission, Janet receives disturbing information that the reason for the ECM's bank robbery was to retrieve a secured package of dinosaur genes.
Hard Mission: Owl Strike(edit)
A military base has been seized by the ECM. Rage, Smarty, and Janet make a sneak attack through the sewers before ultimately catching up with the military base. Enduring the heavily guarded area, the three make it inside the hangars where a crab-like mech provokes the three to a life-or-death duel. The pilot, turning out to be Joe Fang (the final boss of the first two Virtua Cop games), shows himself. In spite of the shock Rage had when he saw Fang, the vehicle is destroyed and the military base is secured.
Extra Mission: Heaven's Door(edit)
Depending on the mission completion order and the player's performance, the player may be asked to play this final mission where the behind-the-scenes plot is revealed.
Rage, Smarty, and Janet are sent to the ECM's main underground facility. Janet hacks into the entrance, only to encounter Gale once again, who challenges the three in a duel inside the hangar. The three proceed get onto an elevator platform, where they fight Joe Fang clones. The elevator leads them to the real Joe Fang, who starts to mutate into his monstrous, demon-like form known as 'Dino Fang' by injecting the dinosaur genes into his own human DNA, and the Virtua Cops face him in the final battle once again. Ultimately, they defeat Dino Fang and ECM's main facility self-destructs as the Virtua Cops narrowly escape from the explosion. Thus, the case is closed and ECM's plot is recorded on VCPD's file.
Unlocking Conditions(edit)
To be able to play this mission, the player must satisfy the following conditions:
Virtua Cop 3 Pc Download
The missions must be completed in the following order: Simple Mission, Normal Mission, and Hard Mission
In the Normal Mission, the player must not let Brand escape
In the Hard Mission, the player must destroy all the missiles after the crab mech boss is defeated
Development(edit)
In early 1997 Electronic Gaming Monthly reported that '(Virtua) Cop 3 is in development but it won't make its debut until the September JAMMA show.'(3)
Xbox(edit)
A version of Virtua Cop 3 was planned for the original Xbox upon which the Chihiro arcade hardware was based. However, the game's release was cancelled reportedly due to the costs of having to release a light gun for the system especially for the game.(4) Users have been able to get the game to run on existing Xbox hardware with some modifications. Through means of soft-modding and installing an additional 64MB of RAM (increasing the total in the machine to 128MB), the game will launch and run. However, the game will not work with any Xbox Lightgun. As the original arcade game works with infrared LEDs and sensors, playing it on Xbox requires similar technology lightguns, such as the EMS Top Gun. However, using a lightgun will also require the expense of having to play the game without access to the aforementioned ES mode, due to no Xbox compatible lightgun having a left trigger button needed in order to activate it. Only playing the game with a stock Xbox controller is required in order to use ES mode while playing Virtua Cop 3 on the Xbox.

The Best Handguns for Hunting
As handgun hunting’s popularity continues on a meteoric rise, more options hit the market each year. Whether hunters favor semi-automatic pistols or the more traditional revolvers, there are ample choices for the shopping hunter. Check out any of these that are sure to put the knockdown on game animals.
Nosler M48 Independence – $1,750
The brand new Nosler M48 Independence single-shot, bolt-action handgun represents the best-of-the-best in terms of ultimate accuracy in a hunting handgun. The 15-inch barrel has a threaded muzzle for either a suppressor or brake. The handgun’s exceptional two-stage trigger rivals that of target rifles, and an aluminum chassis-style stock rounds out the package. Each handgun is machined and built from US made parts by the gunsmiths in Bend, Oregon.
The Independence is not cheap, but it exudes all-American quality and easily shoots sub-MOA groups to match. In fact, in the hands of a capable handgunner, the M48 will outshoot many rifles.
Ruger Super Redhawk – $820
Ruger’s revolvers have made solid hunting sidearms for decades. The newer Ruger Super Redhawk wheelguns are no exception.  The top choice here has long been the .44 Magnum, but now Ruger also chambers the Super Redhawk in the more commonly hyped pistol 10mm round as well. The dual-chamberings allow use of two calibers in one, like the .44 Mag/.44 Spl, 10mm/.40S&W, and .454 Casull/.45 Colt. These stainless steel, double action revolvers are attractive, potent, and sure to be passed to the next generation of hunters.
Remington 1911 R1 Hunter – $550
The craze over 10mm long-slide hunting pistols is still booming and the options are many. Not only is the 10mm round more potent for hunters than other common semi-automatic handgun calibers, but the longer barrels and slides mean greater velocities and accuracy with the longer sight plane.
The Glock Model 40 MOS and Springfield TRP with the 6-inch barrel both make solid choices as well, but the Remington R1 Hunter is one of the most popular “tens” on the market today. The 6-inch barrel and longer slide are built with stainless steel, coated in black PVD, dressed in aggressive G10 grips, and topped with fully adjustable sights.
Magnum Research BFR – $990
These hulky Biggest, Finest Revolvers — or BFR for short — are the epitome of the single-action wheelgun hunting handgun market. With calibers like .30-30 and .45-70 headlining the family of American-made revolvers, the Magnum Research BFR can take down most any big game animals in the world. Both long and short-cylinder versions include some of the most potent chamberings to be found in a hunting handgun. Because of its quality all-stainless steel build, recoil is controllable, the handgun is easy to keep on target, and accuracy is quite exceptional whether with iron sights or an optic.  Plus, the cool factor is off the charts.
Smith & Wesson 460 – $1,150
Any number of Smith & Wesson revolvers could be inserted here, including models like the Smith & Wesson 629 or 657 in .44 Magnum and .41 Magnum respectively. But when big game is the name of the game, it’s always better to have too much gun than not enough, and certain calibers extend the effective range as well.  The Smith & Wesson 460 chambered in .460 S&W is one of the most potent revolver rounds and Smith & Wesson does it up right with the power and accuracy for longer distance big game hunting. Smith & Wesson advertises the .460 as having “the highest muzzle velocity of any production revolver on earth.” Look at models like the XVR or Performance Center 460’s for top quality.  If the .460 sounds like too much gun, be assured these revolvers will also fire both .45 Colt and .454 Casull.
