Write-ups below
Björk - Homogenic
On Homogenic, Björk makes use of an experimental electronic orchestra as backdrop to her strange and heady lyricism to great effect. Its an album that is extremely antagonistic towards casual listening, but thrives under a microscope in a very similar way to Kid A by Radiohead. It's a great listen if that sounds up your alley, adn I personally enjoyed it, even if I'm struggling to communicate exactly why.

Japanese Breakfast - Psychopomp
Considering how much I love Jubilee in particular and Soft Sounds from Another Planet as well, I must admit this was a disappointing listen for me. Still a solid album, to be clear, but Japanese Breakfast has clearly grown as an artist since. That emotionally sincere core is still there, as is a rougher version of the sound on the later albums, but all of the execution is unfortunately a little below her artistic par. Still worth a listen, by all means, but it doesn't really hold up to comparisons with her later work at all for me.
Recommended song: Jane Cum

Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion
I've already written at length about the opener here, so I'll keep my praise of Run Away With Me brief, but suffice it to say that it is one of my favourite pop songs ever, and possibly my favourite of the last few decades, and if you don't fall in love with it in the first ten seconds, there may be something wrong with you.
The rest of the album though, while understandably a considerable step down from those lofty heights, is still a fun ol' time. I don't think I quite click with it the way most people do as a whole project, but even still I found some hooks popping into my head randomly for weeks after listening to it again this month, and they were always welcome.

MUNA - About U
This album's 80s-inspired, synthy indie sound definitely hit me hard and impressed me on first listen, but I honestly found that half the album was unwelcome on shuffle after about a week. Is that just because I became interested in a different sound at an unfortunate time? Honestly, I think it's possible. There's plenty a 1975 song that sounds like this that I have a lot of fun with, and it's definitely not an insincere rendition of that sound, and the usually disingenuous or half-hearted themes of perseverance and small pockets of relief being found in a cruel world hit home with equal believability. Whether that's the reason or not though, I can't make out I was playing this for weeks and it never got stale. I was appreciative of the album on first listen, and will probably revisit in the future, but at the moment it's a Schrödinger situation for me until I feel like relistening.
Recommended song: I Know A Place

Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy
If you're at all familiar with Car Seat Headrest, this won't be alien to you. If you are, then excuse me while I stumble through my explanation of what makes them so special. I'll start off by saying that, while my favourite part of Car Seat Headrest is the lyrics, the music itself does not disappoint at all, with there being several songs over 5 minutes long that, not only keep up with the momentum of shorter songs, but would be all the worse for not being those lengths. There is so much in these massive anthems to chew on, that a standard song wouldn't feel like enough space to spread it across.
Moving onto the lyrics though, there is a sense that whatever is being said has been thought about thoroughly, which is usually in the form of self-critical introspection, but is occasionally just a fact that you wouldn't know without some sort of obsession, such as the lines (from a different album) "They got a portrait of Van Gogh on the Wikipedia page for clinical depression // Well, it helps you describe it". That overthought lyrical style helps you to understand or relate to the mindset of an anxious person so well and also results, itself, in thoughtful, interesting, and occasionally funny lyrics.
I still feel like I'm not quite portraying the magic of Car Seat Headrest properly, but if you're a fan of indie rock, I highly recommend you listen for yourself.

Snail Mail - Valentine
I'm not quite sure how to describe the sound of this one in a way that does justice to it's personality without overstating it's experimentation. If I were to try, I'd probably go for something like "it sounds like the dark-tinged underbelly of something beautiful, like it couldn't exist without beauty, but is itself close to devoid of it in any pure sense". To clarify the comment of purity, I mean there is absolutely plenty of hint of happiness, or at least contentment, but there is always some level of distortion or some slight twist.
Of course, that fits perfectly with the spiteful, sarcastically lovesick lyrical and aesthetic style of the album, as if looking back and trying to convince yourself that you always hated someone that you love so deeply. It's some cool indie rock that absolutely nails the atmosphere it's going for, for me.
Recommended song: Valentine

Car Seat Headrest - Making A Door Less Open
I took way too long to listen to this, I'll be honest. I heard that it went in a more electronic direction and was worried that it wouldn't capture the magic of the other two albums that I love so much, so I left it on the backburner for years. I'm glad I got around to it since though, because I was wrong. There is still every single bit of charm in this album as there was in the other two. Even the electronic stylings were, yes present, but overblown from what I saw, as I was lead to believe that this was almost entirely electronic- driven, but often there is at least one "natural" instrument, such as a guitar or bass, in the mix. In fact, my main criticism of the album is that the other vocalist that appears occasionally just doesn't have a comparable presence on the mic as Will Toledo. Other than that though, which only applies to one song, if I'm remembering correctly, I can't recommend this enough.
Apple Music link
Model/Actriz - Dogsbody
I think I've mentioned this on the majority of posts I've made here since it's release so I'll keep this one short. This album is basically gay BDSM in music form. It's sexy, it's aggressive, it's thrilling, and it's absolutely filthy. It's a great listen and I've been enamored with it all year.
Recommended song : Donkey Show
Apple Music link
Squid - O Monolith
I really loved this. On this album, Squid feels like a reincarnation of Radiohead, creating rock music that is capable of being equal parts urgent and compelling, which makes it as satisfying to listen to casually on the go as it is listened to actively and with intent.
My personal favourite from the album, though far from the only highlight, is The Blades; a song about a protagonist who gets a power trip from delusions of enacting justice and keeping people safe, which applies to both police and the military, with both interpretations seeming perfectly valid to me. It's got a very visceral, punkish bite to it which I really appreciate. It makes it all the more cathartic to listen to.

The 1975 - Being Funny in a Foreign Language
I compared The 1975 to The Smiths a little while back, I don't remember when, for both band's respective ability to represent the culture of their times in a timeless way. Turns out there are also similarities between their frontmen, but we're not getting into that.
This past album from the band explores more subtle genres with more natural sonic palettes, and it lends a maturity to the album in terms of how it sounds. Lyrically, though, Matty Healy remains as wonderfully immature, yet narrowly insightful, as ever.
If it weren't for that stumble in the second half where, Wintering and maybe About You aside, there is a noticeable dip in my enjoyment, I'd consider this The 1975's first masterpiece.
Recommended song: I'm In Love With You
Apple Music link
David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust
It goes without saying this is an absolute classic. Half the album is phenomenal glam rock that shaped the genre whilst remaining some of the best songs to ever come out of it, and the other half is damn good too. I do think that the story of the album is more meandering than people present it as, but at that point we're talking about what could have been rather than what should have been. This album is revered for good reason, it's damn near flawless.
Recommended song: Starman
Apple Music link
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
This album is a classic for good reason. It essentially functions as a greatest hits album for one of the most influential indie bands of all time, but with all the benefits that a uniform piece of art, such as an album, grants. Experimentation is sparse and subtle, but entirely unnecessary in the face of pure perfection of execution. Thematically interesting, lyrically enthralling, and musically satisfying, I'd struggle to point out even the pettiest of flaws in this thing. It's a must listen for any indie fan in my book.
Recommended song: There Is a Light That Never Goes Out
Apple Music link
McKinley Dixon - Beloved! Paradise! Jazz!?
I'm still not very good at talking about hip-hop, but I'll do my best.
I liked McKinley Dixon's last album on first listen, but long-term only a song or two really stuck with me. Maybe it's my lack of experience with the genre making it hard for me to appreciate all but the most diverse hip-hop albums, but they all just registered to me as "one of the songs from For My Mama and Anybody Who Look Like Her" after a few weeks. Well, as of writing it's been a few weeks, and I'm happy to say this album isn't suffering from that same issue.
I love the eponymous heavy jazz influence on this, and I think that is the main reason I find that this album has a clearer identity, but even beyond that, the way it blends into a more contemporary rap style is seamless and impressive to say the least. I'm seeing a lot of hype for McKinley Dixon, and if he carries on on this trajectory, that hype should be fully earned.
Apple Music link
Radiohead - In Rainbows
I love OK Computer as much as the next virgin, but for my money this is Radiohead's magnum opus. The sense of space on this album is incredible, and occasionally gives the album a jazz club feel, which goes surprisingly well with the experimental art rock on display here.
One thing I really appreciate about this album is it's versatility in mood. The band explore much of this sound in ten tracks by channeling all sorts of emotions. There's anger, resignation, even scrambling for drunken memories after a one-night stand. It's all exceptionally done and packaged together to make a high-point in a long discography with few lows.
If you haven't heard this album yet, I'll link the opener for you here. If you like that, the album should take your hand and guide you from there.

black midi - Schlagenheim
I love black midi. The first time I listened to Hellfire, I transcended like never before. My reaction were as if I were thrust into heaven and my atheist mind had to comprehend the face of god. I love a bit of melodrama, but that is not what this is. It was a very intense experience.
My experience with Schlagenheim was similar, but to a lesser extent. It was more of an orbital experience than an ironically heavenly one, but individual all the same. In fact, the slightly more terrestrial experience meant I was able to appreciate this more as music because I was able to think critically about it.
Recommended song: Of Schlagenheim

King Krule - Space Heavy
This one is at once spacey and naturalistic in a way that sounds as if humanity crossed paths with an alien race and communicated through an intergalactic jam sesh. Everything resembles Earth with a slight cosmic distortion. It's an album I'd where I'd be lying if I said I understood it fully, but what I do understand is unique and encourages further exploration.
Recommended song: Flimsier

Prince & The Revolution - Purple Rain
I think I'm in my Prince appreciation era. I always struggled to see the appeal beyond the hits, and even listened to Purple Rain confused by its status. I can confidently say now that I was a dumb fuck. I don't know why it didn't click for me. It's often invigorating, its occasionally sexy, and its always interesting. It's an exception piece of pop-funk and I don't know what I didn't see in it. I intend to relisten to the other Prince albums I've heard going forward at a minimum to attempt to atone for my sins.
Apple Music link
The 1975 - i like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it
This past listen, I learned to respect the way this album flows. Up until then, the staggered flow frustrated me, but this time round it clicked as an almost episodic experience, like an album split into chapters, and I'm still not crazy about it by any means, but the biggest issue I had with the album isn't a big deal any more, which has allowed me to better appreciate the incredible, versatile artistry on display and the (given the controversy, perplexingly) deep social commentary.
Apple Music link
Beyoncé - RENAISSANCE
I love the gall on display of this album. When you have the confidence to essentially give yourself a round of applause at the end of your album and end up earning that, not only is it a sign that the album is great, it makes the album that much better for the harmony between the artist's view of themselves and your view of the artist.
I get why Beyoncé fans are so obnoxious now, because this is absolutely queen shit and Beyoncé is, it turns out, an international treasure. I'm not much of a dance music aficionado, but I'm still willing to commit to saying this is the best damn dance album I'm likely to be exposed to.

Children of a Lesser Matrix: It’s Like A Saturday Morning Cartoon, But With… Genocide
Children of a Lesser Matrix is by no means a complete work- more of an outline that never got past the “slap some ideas in as they come to you” stage. Fun fact: you don’t have to write in sequential order if you don’t want to. It can actually help with writer’s block to jump around.
Let’s take a look at the writing process, shall we?
Tumblr media
I wasn’t kidding when I said the self-insert got the shaft in Eugenesis.
It turns out that back when the Transmasters UK club was a thing, it was pretty common for the members to have a sort of mascot for themselves, a character that would show up in their work repeatedly. You see it nowadays with fanfic writers too, so it isn’t exactly an odd phenomenon, but it’s something I found interesting.
You know who else shows up repeatedly in Roberts’ other works?
Throwback.
But that’s a topic for another day.
This story takes place in the year of 1990. No peering into the future here; this was probably set in the modern day at the time of writing. Seeing as Eugenesis was first published in 2001, it’s safe to assume that we’re looking at the work of a very young Roberts.
Our focus at present is an asteroid in uncharted space.
Tumblr media
Oh!
Tumblr media
Oh.
Looks like these guys are Autobots, and their ship crashed into this space rock, killing them instantly. These must be the equivalent of Transformers’ red-shirts, because it usually takes a little more to take them out. There’s also a Decepticon, but we’ll get to him in a second.
What else is on this asteroid? Oh, y’know, nothing special. Just the Creation Matrix.
AND IT’S EVIL.
Tumblr media
And everyone knows that green is the color of EVIL.
We’ve got an interesting take on the Matrix here, in that A) it’s evil, and B) it’s sentient. Like, really sentient. Also, it can summon demons, and is gonna stuff them in these Autobot corpses it found in the ship.
No mention of what it does with Thunderwing, if anything at all.
Yep. Thunderwing. If you read the IDW Stormbringer miniseries, or the MTMTE Revolutions one-shot, you know about Thunderwing at least a little. In the Marvel UK comics, his whole shtick was that he was obsessed with obtaining the Creation Matrix, believing himself to have an affinity with it. Guess that sort of backfired on him here.
Tumblr media
This is the first time I’ve seen something bolded like this in Roberts’ work, and I really couldn’t tell you exactly why, but it’s oddly endearing. Maybe it the mental image of this 14-year old kid just furiously getting this outline down, underlining the word “will" so hard the lead in his pencil breaks off.
We get hit with an interlude, taking place inside a robot grandpa.
Tumblr media
Of course, I’m being facetious, but this is a little interesting. Perhaps this is referring to his base on Cybertron, and not Alpha Trion himself. It seems more likely than Roberts mistaking the name for a place.
And who’s inside Delta Triton? Why, it’s Skimmer!
You probably don’t know Skimmer.
Skimmer was actually in MTMTE #41- or at least, he was mentioned. Hailing from Caminus and serving under Thunderclash, the comic doesn’t even know what gender he is. He’s male. Probably can’t put that on the wiki, seeing as this is about as far from “canon” as it gets- an unpublished, basically unwritten fanfiction. It’ll be our little secret, just between you, me, and James Roberts.
Skimmer runs into his boss Quillion- who does not show up anywhere else, as far I can can tell- who doesn’t look terribly happy at the moment. There’s a huge blip on the radar, and it isn’t anyone they want to have over for tea.
Tumblr media
Language!
Quillion orders for these massive rocket boosters they’ve strapped to the moon be turned on so they can get the hell out of the way of this honestly preposterously large pile of Decepticons coming their way. They flip the switch, and moon #3 blasts off.
Oh hi, Luna 01, didn’t recognize you there!
Back at the asteroid, the Matrix went and brought the Autobots back from the dead, and proceeds to wax poetic  on the nature of life, and how its new underlings will serve it.
Tumblr media
That’s the royal we, baby. The Matrix is making no bones about it, this thing is KING. Seems like the Omniforce is a Roberts-original idea. Wonder what that’s all about. And what of this new force of evil?
Tumblr media
Oh my fucking god his name is Genocide.
If I were a middle-school kid reading this outline, I’d be losing my mind over how cool and edgy this was. Roberts is trying so hard here, and I’m all about it. You go, tiny JRo. You go full cowl on these evil robots.
Our Omniforce have personalities to match their new looks and identities, and it’s about what you’d expect- these boys are a drop of blood in the water away from going completely feral. Also, Thunderwing’s starting to wake up. So, that’ll be a thing soon.
Back at the interlude, everything’s settling down as the gravity rights itself. The moon almost hit light-speed- which, holy shit- but it looks like the laws of inertia in a vacuum are on vacation today.
Not that I expect a kid from the 90’s to know about that.
They’re roughly 7000 hours away from Cybertron, so they better start heading back now. Assuming that there’s still a Cybertron to go back to.
Back with the first plot, Thunderwing’s having a seizure- Roberts’ prose characters seem to do that a lot- and the Matrix is freaking out, because if he dies, they won’t have a ride off this barren space rock. There’s only one thing to do!
Tumblr media
The Matrix zaps Thunderwing with green (evil!) lightning, saving him from the brink of death. Thunderwing is less than enthused with this turn of events.
Tumblr media
You get redundancies like this when outlining, it happens.
Thunderwing is pissed, and the brand-spanking new Omniforce isn’t super sure how to handle the current situation. The Matrix, thinking quickly, merges with Thunderwing.
This does not help the situation.
Tumblr media
You’ve had them for five minutes, and you’re already killing them. I know you’re new to this, Matrix, but come on now.
TWENTY THOUSAND YEARS LATER, it turns out that Quillion’s estimate of their arrival back at Cybertron was off by just a smidge. The moon runs into a tomb of all things in the depths of space, and brings it on inside to see what all the hubbub’s about.
It’s got a Mind-Krell in it.
No, I have no idea what a Mind-Krell is. Another Roberts original. He’s always been rather ambitious as a writer, it would seem.
Jumping back in time, Thunderwing’s throwing out his rawest lines, and it’s amazing.
Tumblr media
Like holy shit, I unironically love this. I wish he’d decided to do more with this, it’s fantastic.
We get our first taste of action. Theres a lot going on here: Genocide is apparently a necromancer, capable of controlling the dead, which Thunderwing currently technically is. However, this takes time to set up, so it’s Black Fusion’s turn to step up to the plate. He shoots off a volley of Black Fusion from his eyes, knocking Thunderwing over.
Yes, they’re named after their powers. Or are their powers named after them? Anyway, they’re about to head for the shuttle, when Genocide orders Kaos to use his- you guessed it- Kaos Energy.
Tumblr media
We’re also dealing with the “can’t just use said” phase that every young writer goes through. Kaos’ staff, which he’s had this whole time, turns into a gun? It’s not clear, but he shoots Thunderwing and then dives into the shuttle at the last possible second, Indiana Jones-style.
As the shuttle takes off, Genocide warns their resident possessor Daemon to not do the thing, even though he really, really wants to. With that, they train the onboard weapons systems on Thunderwing below- all of them.
And that’s all we got for Children of a Lesser Matrix.
Clearly there would have been more if he’d continued with the ideas, but as is we have a fascinating snapshot of what was probably one of Roberts’ first forays into writing. You don’t get to do this with very many authors, where you can go this far back and see what they were doing, what changed, what stayed the same. I wasn’t expecting to see ideas from MTMTE pop up here- and certainly not ones that were as big as the moon thrusters.
If this entry seems a little soft around the edges, it’s probably because it is. I’m of two mind about covering this at all. On one hand: it was published online for others to read, which makes it free game, and it’s a part of his growth as a writer, so of course I’m going to look at it! On the other hand: Literal. Child. I wouldn’t make fun of a kid just starting out now, and I’m definitely not trying to rag on a young writer retroactively. That being said...
I’m not gonna lie, this is kind of a rough sit. I mean, other than it being an idea springboard that never went anywhere. There are some neat ideas, but… look, anything that’s truly made from the bottom of one’s heart, out of pure love, is always going to be at least a little cringe-inducing. That’s just how it goes, even with the best writers, and this is an outline written by a kid who grew up on 80’s-era media and was just starting out.
Still, there was a lot of potential here. It’s ambitious, it’s over the top, it’s silly and earnest. I like it. It makes me smile to read it and think about the person creating it and having fun doing it.
It just goes to show that no one starts out amazing at what they do.
Up next, a relic of a bygone era- the ‘zine! It’s The Mystery of the Transformer Decoys, a ‘zine that was printed out and sent via snail mail. We truly are spoiled by the internet.

The Nigerian prince scam is still fooling people. Here’s why.
The scam has evolved over time. (Pixabay/)
Before there was Elizabeth Holmes or the Fyre Festival, there was the Nigerian prince. For decades, this digital hustler has been seeping through spam filters to offer you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity: Dear beloved, he writes, I’m a wayward royal coming to you with an incredible investment opportunity. Mr. Sir, he says, did you know you have millions of dollars unclaimed in a Western Union account? I can help you get it out. All he needs is a small cash advance or a bank account number to complete the wire transfer. Then, these unexpected riches are yours.
Most people know this for what it is: a scam. Also known as the 419 fraud, the Nigerian prince is a variation on the centuries-old Spanish prisoner swindle, an advance-fee scam that emerged after the French Revolution, where people sent handwritten letters soliciting help for a (non-existent) nobleman falsely imprisoned. While it’s closely associated with the early internet, the Nigerian prince first went global in the 1980s when West African fraudsters began snail-mailing scam letters around the world. Today, it seems more like a punchline than a real threat, but the Nigerian prince still gets paid: in 2018, the con brought in more than $700,000 from Americans alone.
But fraudsters are using the foundational psychology of the 419 fraud in more innovative and dangerous ways, too. “We all used to snicker at [the Nigerian prince] 15 or 20 years ago,” says Armen Najarian, the chief identity officer at Agari. But “that Nigerian prince has grown up, has gone to college, has learned a thing or two, and has found a new lucrative career.” What once seemed like a simple, isolated grift has evolved into a trillion-dollar threat.
Social engineering
The 419 flimflam is perhaps the best-known example of social engineering, a range of strategies that fraudsters use to manipulate their targets into sharing personal or confidential information and enable further attack.
Jacob Dorval, global director of the adversary group at SecureWorks, leads a team of ethical hackers who simulate attacks to identify weak spots in a client’s security protocol. He says most social engineering attacks begin with a form of phishing—an email, phone call, or even in-person interaction with a seemingly trustworthy source who’s really after your private data.
“Right now, a perfect example of it would be coronavirus,” Dorval says. A hacker could create a false public health warning and circulate the spoofed page to employees at a targeted company. “Maybe it pops up with an exact replica of your HR page and it says, you must login in to view the advisory. Or perhaps it’s just a link that says, click here,” he says. “It wouldn’t look abnormal to you in any way, but the moment you open that file, it could launch malicious activity.”
Instead of asking for money, like the Nigerian prince, fraudsters now seek personal information. And where the Nigerian prince was often satisfied with a few wire transfers, accessing your passwords and personal identifiers is just the first step in a much larger plan.
Right now, the FBI is concerned with business email compromise, or BEC, which involves targeting an employee with access to their company’s financial infrastructure and duping them into moving money to the scammers.
One variation of this is called the “CEO scam,” where a fraudster spoofs the CEO of a company and demands that an invoice be remitted immediately. If the subordinate follows orders, they will have unwittingly transferred the funds to the fraudsters. (Some go even further: between 2015 and 2017, scammers impersonating France’s defense minister Jean-Yves Le Drian in elaborately-staged Skype calls, made $90 million.)
A similar strategy called vendor email compromise, or VEC, is also on the rise, with Agari predicting it will be the number one attack type in 2020. In a typical scenario, a fraudster will create an invoice that looks identical to the real vendor’s, save for the bank account information. When the company issues payment, it once again ends up in the scammer’s account.
In the past, such cons were a numbers game. The more people a charlatan targeted, the more likely they were to find a victim. That’s still true, but attacks today are also more sophisticated. “The Nigerian prince—that was effectively spam,” Najarian says. “There was nothing bespoke about it.” Now, scams are so personalized, even the most careful or skeptical employees are at risk. “It just takes one small mistake,” Dorval says.
The phrase “Cybersecurity” may evoke international rings of hackers equipped with cutting-edge machinery as portrayed in so many movies. But fraud doesn’t have to be high-tech to succeed, as social engineering preys primarily on human weakness. “People are the weakest link when it comes to security,” Dorval says. Some people may be at more risk than others—millennials actually report higher rates of fraud than older Americans, according to the Federal Trade Commission—but anyone could fall prey to the power play of a CEO scam or the allure or a romance racket. Why break in when you can trick someone into opening the door?
No matter the target, successful social engineering can have serious repercussions. Juniper Research, which forecasts trends in digital technology, estimates business losses stemming from cybercrime hit $3 trillion worldwide in 2019. No one is safe from the fallout. Moody’s recently downgraded Equifax over an epic data breach, marking the first time a company has had its credit downgraded over a cybersecurity issue that affected hundreds of millions of people. And, as FBI agent Michael Sohn of the Los Angeles Cyber Division told Wired, “[w]hen a small business gets scammed out of $200,000 or $500,00 they’re just done, they’re no longer in business.”
Fighting back
Just as you don’t need sophisticated technology to conduct a social engineering scam, you don’t need crazy schemes to fight it. Multi-factor authentication, which requires one or more levels of identification beyond a password, is a good first step in fighting fraud, says Lukasz Olejnik, an independent cybersecurity researcher and advisor. So too is ensuring that your passwords are different for every account, so that if one is breached, the others don’t fall like dominoes. But don’t keep them on a Post-It—a digital password manager is just as easy and much safer.
Still, many companies are also turning to artificial intelligence to enhance their fraud detection processes in an effort to keep humans out of the process completely. Organizations with automated phishing responses detect 44 times more malicious messages than employees, according to Agari. And that’s important, because Agari reports that 60 percent of employee-reported incidents are false-positives anyway. The benefits of AI likely appear in your personal email, too, as Gmail’s machine learning-enhanced platform reportedly blocks 99.9 percent of spam.
The one prevention strategy that doesn’t work is shame, says Olejnik. Anyone can fall prey to a social engineering scheme, so punishing, firing, or even suing the employees who do is not only unfair, it doesn’t address the larger problem. While management may feel they’ve taken a stand, they’re just as vulnerable as they always were.
The Nigerian prince may not be as successful as he once was, but he remains the perfect metaphor for an ever-evolving threat. Fraud “is usually a matter of when it’s going to happen, not if it’s going to happen,” Dorval says, whether royalty’s involved or not.

Fool Britannia: The British People Are Slaves
The British Government doesn't care about British people, beyond their use as a source of revenue. We Britons are now culturally irrelevant and unloved; despite clear evidence of our impending extinction that if were said about a dandelion, or snail, or bird, would be sufficient grounds for great outcry and demands from George Monbiot et al that Something Must Be Done. Indeed, something must be done.
(function(w,d,s,i){w.ldAdInit=w.ldAdInit||[];w.ldAdInit.push({slot:10817585113717094,size:[0, 0],id:"ld-7788-6480"});if(!d.getElementById(i)){var j=d.createElement(s),p=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];j.async=true;j.src="//cdn2.lockerdomecdn.com/_js/ajs.js";j.id=i;p.parentNode.insertBefore(j,p);}})(window,document,"script","ld-ajs");
The demand from a cowed and tax-farmed public is not for answers, but for punishment. Punishment for those who dare to be offensive enough to ask; what did we Britons do that was so wrong, that we must be erased from history?
Tommy Robinson 13 months in jail. Hope he doesn’t make it out. Scumbag
— Mick Doonan (@Th3Micktorious) May 26, 2018
The future is a caramel-colored, and subjugated either to a police state, or a caliphate. Either result is a reality that Britons, or whatever replaces them, will be ruled by an uncaring machine of bureaucracy or a proselytizing and punitive Islamic faith that will happily grow the ranks of the dar al-Islam by coercion, convenience and the War of the Womb.
The demographic projections in this article are based on current migratory and fertility rate data. Shocking as these forecasts may be to you, I fear that with the population explosion predicted in Africa this century, reality may be far worse, if one can fathom a worse situation than Britons becoming a minority which will almost certainly not survive to be the scant 37% of the population predicted for us in 2101.
As some people have discovered to their cost, the Police will not enforce public order when Islam is involved. They will arrest you for pointing out the uneven application of the law. This video is horrendous, and truly shows that Her Majesty's Constabulary are now an oppressive force that is the enemy of the people.
youtube
That's right, you did just see police officers burst into a woman's home and arrest her for perverting the course of "justice" whatever that means in England these days. The police have become corrupt. The police are evil in ways that are simply unimaginable to most people. But this is the truth. Her crime was to point out that the park regulations of Hyde Park, London, prohibit public prayer -by anyone. These gammon-faced policemen are too spineless to do their duty, and instead throw their critics in the clink.
I don't know about you, but I want there to be a future for ethnic Britons. I've explained in detail in previous articles what a British person is. I feel some shame that I did not discover or realize until this year that I have a genetically distinct ethnic identity and the importance of this, that culture is indeed downstream from race. How bovine of thought that was of me. The cult of self-annihilation is strong with our people. But what is a British person today?
A British person is a slave. Britons are not permitted to cry out as they are raped. A Briton is a second-class citizen in a first-class dystopia.
Britons are an endangered species, and nobody cares. In fact, our destruction is demanded in the media, for Whiteness is the original sin of our age. Those who reject this evil, genocidal and racist framing are branded "far right", even by newspapers that are ostensibly right-leaning like the Daily Mail. Britons may not be shown in a positive light in the press. Our demise is celebrated by neo-Marxists, followers of Islam and racists alike, for different reasons. Though guests in our lands, benefiting from our labor, the non-White residents of Britain do not speak out against our obvious destruction. Many elected officials consider the extinction of Britons to be a net gain, but nobody accuses these people of being Nazis, or genocidal. Instead, those who say; "No, I will not die quietly"- these are Nazis, who must be punched.
If a Briton offends a Muslim, ethnic minority, Jew, homosexual, transsexual or other protected class, their public life is forfeit. If you express anger that your own capital city, second city and many other towns are places which are no longer English, then your reputation is forfeit. If you speak out against the extermination of British people, against the denigration and debasement of your culture, your freedom is forfeit. If you cannot afford to flee your hometown -which your ancestors built and lived in for generations- before the tide of migration and Islam, your daughters are forfeit.
Our leaders evidently believe that if we are boiled like frogs at just such a temperature, we will not notice that we are dying out. It is essential to the agenda of demographic replacement that we do not realize what is happening to us. In fact, the state itself is only vaguely aware and understanding; programmed automatons have replaced genuine leadership in Britain these past 20 years. Only by accepting the twisted logic that appearances are all that matter, that the positioning of White Britons as the permanent out-group, the "other" in their own lands can this system justify itself. The Britons, for their part, are conditioned to only feel just and righteous when they care deeply about the minorities, who have been elevated to godhood. There are many frogs in government, also.
This position falls flat when we ask the Forbidden Questions. These questions are so powerful that those who ask them must be destroyed at all costs, lest a slave revolt take place. This is why our education system denudes our young people of critical faculties. This is why we are kept stupid.
These questions are:
Why is the British Government pursuing a socio-economic agenda that will doom our people to oblivion within a century?
Why is it that our once glorious capital city has no Londoners?
Why is it that scores of candidates for Parliament across party lines accepted bribes from Israel to represent the interests of that country over our own?
How is it just or fair that of all the many ethnic groups in Britain, the only demographic that it is permissable to be prejudiced against is the indigenous population?
Why are Britons not permitted to act in the interests of British people when all other groups are free to pursue their group interests?
Why is it that the British police will look away as British (and Sikh) children are raped, tortured and murdered for fear of being called racists, but will imprison Britons (who often die in jail under suspicious circumstances) for offending an Islamic god?
Who owns the British media?
Who really controls the British Establishment?
There is no true answer to any one of these questions that could be given by our government that would not begin a revolution so bloody and violent that the Frenchmen will gasp in horror.
The state cannot answer these questions, nor show why any British person should look at these demographic predictions with anything but ice-cold fury. Instead, the state hopes that the cattle will not struggle and stampede, kept fat and slow with excess sugar, too little exercise and mindless entertainment, estranged from our heritage and future alike, as a child from a broken home who is raised on stories of how evil his father is. In good conscience no Briton can see this truth and remain silent- and so those Britons will be discredited, jailed, or killed. Fellow slaves will call those Britons the usual insults but it is they who are the Sonderkommandos. Useful idiots indeed, accelerating their own nihilistic desires to fever pitch, devoid of intellect; overcome by the trap of excess empathy for the other, and none for themselves. Happily they dig the mass grave, with a shovel called equality.
Ignore the attempts to shame you for being. I would shame no other person for being happy to exist as they are, unmolested. Why would I? This tactic is not for the use of the socialist or neoliberal who hate you- it is they who should -must- feel ashamed. How can anyone look at what as happened to Birmingham, Bradford, Blackburn, London, Luton and countless other towns and not be ashamed for their part? It is our shame- all of it; but it is not a British shame.
Birmingham will be an Islamic City-State.
Brothers and Sisters, it is time to put down the yoke that we were promised we would never wear. We were born for better days than this, but we must make that reality happen through our own toil.No one will return our heritage lightly. No one has given us anything for free- in fact, we pay for the golden era of others. What you have been taught to value is worthless. What you have been taught is worthless is more precious than all the Queen's jewels and ermine.
Thee haughty tyrants ne'er shall tame: All their attempts to bend thee down, Will but arouse thy generous flame; But work their woe, and thy renown. "Rule, Britannia! rule the waves: "Britons never will be slaves." "
The anarchists have a saying that bears being repurposed for more noble goals. Agitate. Educate. Organize. It should be clear now that without you, there is no England, Scotland, Ireland or Wales. We may not like each other a lot of the time, but none of us wish the other exterminated, for all our bloody history and flaws. Become an educated person, understand this reality; and to those who call this awakening racist, it could not be further from the truth. Preserving our existence means preserving a force of good, order and prosperity in this dark world. This force has for centuries protected the weak, educated the ignorant, provided shelter to the refugee and the oppressed. We have replaced this great civilization with a police state that will oppress everyone in their turn, until there is nothing left but slaves who cannot see their chains. Only a free British people with a leadership that elevates their interests will emancipate us, and save our ethnic group from extinction -which need I remind you if it were anything other than a subset of White people, would not be a controversial demand. More to the point, we were never asked if we wished to be destroyed. We were merely told how it was to be.
(function(w,d,s,i){w.ldAdInit=w.ldAdInit||[];w.ldAdInit.push({slot:10817587730962790,size:[0, 0],id:"ld-5979-7226"});if(!d.getElementById(i)){var j=d.createElement(s),p=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];j.async=true;j.src="//cdn2.lockerdomecdn.com/_js/ajs.js";j.id=i;p.parentNode.insertBefore(j,p);}})(window,document,"script","ld-ajs");
Britons, it is time to awake. It is time to organize, and band together. It is time to put this age of fear to the torch. It is time for us to forge alliances across ideological differences, in the name of our own survival. The alternative is continued slavery and death.

Highlights for Sapiens
Humankind paid for its lofty vision and industrious hands with backaches and stiff necks.
But if the Interbreeding Theory is right, there might well be genetic differences between Africans, Europeans and Asians that go back hundreds of thousands of years. This is political dynamite, which could provide material for explosive racial theories.
The foragers may have had their all-conquering Napoleons, who ruled empires half the size of Luxembourg; gifted Beethovens who lacked symphony orchestras but brought people to tears with the sound of their bamboo flutes; and charismatic prophets who revealed the words of a local oak tree rather than those of a universal creator god. But these are all mere guesses.
Every mammoth was a source of a vast quantity of meat (which, given the frosty temperatures, could even be frozen for later use), tasty fat, warm fur and valuable ivory. As the findings from Sungir testify, mammoth-hunters did not just survive in the frozen north – they thrived.
The average farmer worked harder than the average forager, and got a worse diet in return. The Agricultural Revolution was history’s biggest fraud.
Back in the snail-mail era, people usually only wrote letters when they had something important to relate.
We thought we were saving time; instead we revved up the treadmill of life to ten times its former speed and made our days more anxious and agitated.
History is something that very few people have been doing while everyone else was ploughing fields and carrying water buckets.
Everywhere, rulers and elites sprang up, living off the peasants’ surplus food and leaving them with only a bare subsistence.
We believe in a particular order not because it is objectively true, but because believing in it enables us to cooperate effectively and forge a better society.
First, you never admit that the order is imagined. You always insist that the order sustaining society is an objective reality created by the great gods or by the laws of nature.
Romanticism tells us that in order to make the most of our human potential we must have as many different experiences as we can.
The inter-subjective is something that exists within the communication network linking the subjective consciousness of many individuals. If a single individual changes his or her beliefs, or even dies, it is of little importance. However, if most individuals in the network die or change their beliefs, the inter-subjective phenomenon will mutate or disappear. Inter-subjective phenomena are neither malevolent frauds nor insignificant charades.
Throughout history, and in almost all societies, concepts of pollution and purity have played a leading role in enforcing social and political divisions and have been exploited by numerous ruling classes to maintain their privileges.
Money comes to money, and poverty to poverty. Education comes to education, and ignorance to ignorance. Those once victimised by history are likely to be victimised yet again. And those whom history has privileged are more likely to be privileged again.
In order to ensure her own survival and the survival of her children, the woman had little choice but to agree to whatever conditions the man stipulated so that he would stick around and share some of the burden. As time went by, the feminine genes that made it to the next generation belonged to women who were submissive caretakers. Women who spent too much time fighting for power did not leave any of those powerful genes for future generations.
Nobody really knows how to solve this thorny question of cultural inheritance.
Yet, in fact, religion has been the third great unifier of humankind, alongside money and empires.
These theological disputes turned so violent that during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, Catholics and Protestants killed each other by the hundreds of thousands.
If a religion is a system of human norms and values that is founded on belief in a superhuman order, then Soviet Communism was no less a religion than Islam.
The existence of different human races, the superiority of the white race, and the need to protect and cultivate this superior race were widely held beliefs among most Western elites.
At the same time, a huge gulf is opening between the tenets of liberal humanism and the latest findings of the life sciences, a gulf we cannot ignore much longer.
Successful cultures are those that excel in reproducing their memes, irrespective of the costs and benefits to their human hosts.
Similar arguments are common in the social sciences, under the aegis of game theory.
This was not merely a historical achievement, but an evolutionary and even cosmic feat.
Mere observations, however, are not knowledge. In order to understand the universe, we need to connect observations into comprehensive theories.
Most scientific studies are funded because somebody believes they can help attain some political, economic or religious goal.
What made Europeans exceptional was their unparalleled and insatiable ambition to explore and conquer.
the European conquerors knew their empires very well. Far better, indeed, than any previous conquerors, or even than the native population itself.
No less important was the fact that science gave the empires ideological justification. Modern Europeans came to believe that acquiring new knowledge was always good. The fact that the empires produced a constant stream of new knowledge branded them as progressive and positive enterprises.
Banks and governments print money, but ultimately, it is the scientists who foot the bill.
A hundred years later, princes and bankers were willing to extend far more credit to Columbus’ successors, and they had more capital at their disposal, thanks to the treasures reaped from America. Equally important, princes and bankers had far more trust in the potential of exploration, and were more willing to part with their money.
The secret of Dutch success was credit. The Dutch burghers, who had little taste for combat on land, hired mercenary armies to fight the Spanish for them. The Dutch themselves meanwhile took to the sea in ever-larger fleets. Mercenary armies and cannon-brandishing fleets cost a fortune, but the Dutch were able to finance their military expeditions more easily than the mighty Spanish Empire because they secured the trust of the burgeoning European financial system at a time when the Spanish king was carelessly eroding its trust in him. Financiers extended the Dutch enough credit to set up armies and fleets, and these armies and fleets gave the Dutch control of world trade routes, which in turn yielded handsome profits. The profits allowed the Dutch to repay the loans, which strengthened the trust of the financiers. Amsterdam was fast becoming not only one of the most important ports of Europe, but also the continent’s financial Mecca.
How exactly did the Dutch win the trust of the financial system? Firstly, they were sticklers about repaying their loans on time and in full, making the extension of credit less risky for lenders. Secondly, their country’s judicial system enjoyed independence and protected private rights – in particular private property rights.
This enterprise may sound a little strange to us, but in the early modern age it was common for private companies to hire not only soldiers, but also generals and admirals, cannons and ships, and even entire off-the-shelf armies. The international community took this for granted and didn’t raise an eyebrow when a private company established an empire.
the British demanded and received control of Hong Kong, which they proceeded to use as a secure base for drug trafficking
The most important economic resource is trust in the future, and this resource is constantly threatened by thieves and charlatans.
Markets by themselves offer no protection against fraud, theft and violence. It is the job of political systems to ensure trust by legislating sanctions against cheats and to establish and support police forces, courts and jails which will enforce the law. When kings fail to do their jobs and regulate the markets properly, it leads to loss of trust, dwindling credit and economic depression.
Few of us understand how electricity does all these things, but even fewer can imagine life without it.
Our children’s books, our iconography and our TV screens are still full of giraffes, wolves and chimpanzees, but the real world has very few of them left.
Many call this process ‘the destruction of nature’. But it’s not really destruction, it’s change. Nature cannot be destroyed.
Many kingdoms and empires were in truth little more than large protection rackets.
A person who lost her family and community around 1750 was as good as dead.
Today, parental authority is in full retreat. Youngsters are increasingly excused from obeying their elders, whereas parents are blamed for anything that goes wrong in the life of their child. Mum and Dad are about as likely to be found innocent in the Freudian courtroom as were defendants in a Stalinist show trial.
The decline of violence is due largely to the rise of the state. Throughout history, most violence resulted from local feuds between families and communities.
A lot of evidence indicates that we are destroying the foundations of human prosperity in an orgy of reckless consumption.
A meaningful life can be extremely satisfying even in the midst of hardship, whereas a meaningless life is a terrible ordeal no matter how comfortable it is.
Science fiction rarely describes such a future, because an accurate description is by definition incomprehensible.
Those who are not spooked by this question probably haven’t given it enough thought.
