Are there any plants or animals that the fairies might have some relationship to, like a specific plant they like feeding on the most? Or some kinds of animals they tend to help or work with to do something? Sorry if this doesn't make much sense
Three animals I can think of right off the bat- bees, snails, and spiders!
Fairies will keep bee nests in their colonies for honey and wax, as well as for the health of the plants they use for nectar and fruit! They’re able to go into beehives completely unharmed and do whatever.
Snails are kept for their shells, and also for their slime, which fairies keep for medical reasons. Their ability to eat pretty much anything also means fairies basically use them as trashcans.
And then spiders! Fairies keep jumping spiders to eat insects that try to eat their food stores, and will also harvest the silk as an adhesive for construction. Birds can also be seen harvesting spider silk for their nests, too.

Cuban Painted Snails (Polymita Picta)
“Their colours come from their diet, lichen and mosses rich in minerals that give the shells these stunning colours. They differ according to the particular mix of plants that each snail has been eating.” - David Attenborough
