Gaboon Viper!
A very tricky draw.
They live in Africa, dwelling in rainforests and have 2 subspecies, east and west African.
These Vipers are the largest Vipers, they can reach excesses of 6ft long and have 6 inch wide heads! They are venomous but rather docile and when hunting prefer to lie in wait for something to pass. They then use a catch an hold technique and wait for it to die so those large fangs really come in handy!
Gaboon Vipers come in a range of pretty colours and even thier eye colour varies. Being slow moving and passive hunters means blending in with the forest floor is vital. They also have a good degree of eye movement so little head movement is required.
These Vipers are also ovoviviparous and give birth to up to 50 live young! However luckily theyre independent from birth.

Day 12 of Cringetober: Niche interest
Out of my interests, I picked my love for ancient Finnish paganism and folklore. To depict that, I drew something related to my favourite folk creature: The King of Snakes.
It was believed that snakes had a king who was huge, white as snow, and had a crown on its head. The King of Snakes would call all the snakes of the land to "käärmekäräjät" which is like a combination of an ancient forum, a gathering and a court of justice. There the snakes would discuss important things and make decisions for all snakekind. Because there were too many snakes for open discussion, the snakes would take turns to speak. To signify their turn, the snake would hold a rock called "käräjäkivi" in their mouth. Shamans found those rocks incredibly valuable, because they held so much magical energy in them.
So if you ever find a smooth rock with two tiny holes next to each other on it, you have found a snake court stone and should definitely keep it.

I'm finally done
The 3.74 meter reticulated python is finally finished, I am extremely proud, I feel like a peacock
There were probably more than a thousand pieces and I still have a 2.5 meter burmese degreasing and two other snakes in the freezer waiting to be cleaned and articulated
