I end up fascinated by characters who WOULD be queer if they were in the right time and place to realize it. Old war vet who would have discovered they were nonbinary if their home hadn’t been destroyed and they spent their whole life fighting and being referred to as “sir”. Retail worker who is too exhausted and burnt out to even look at himself long enough to notice the disconnect between himself and his body and he is dead asleep before he can even think about how “she” would be more comfortable. A character with a traveling job who will never stay in the same place long enough to fall in love with the cute barista. Characters who are so deeply effected by their circumstances they do not get the luxury of self discovery.

Legolas: ... because Okrea is the godess of exploration (regardless of how stupid it is) hence me praying to them to help those souls. And Akami is the goddess of war, hence my patron as a warrior?

Elrohir: what my brother means to ask is: why do you pray to these ‘gods’ who you’ve never seen, instead of the valar, whom you know exist?

Legolas: because i know the valar exist, and that’s exactly why i don’t pray to them.

Elladan: wha- but the valar are real!

Legolas: the valar are real, but never done a thing to help my people. My gods, however? I might not be able to meet with them face to face like you do with yours, but my people have been worshipping them since before Orome came and we’re still here, alive and kicking. Which is more than i can say about most of your kin, who have long since started to abandon these lands.

Am i the only one always kinda anoyed at the "i don't carry wallet with me, ruins the lines of my suit" joke from Deadpool 1 for the simple reason of missing a great set-uo for a belt pouches joke?

i always thought the joke was a dickish excuse for wade to get away without paying when he very clearly has pouches with which he can very easily carry a wallet - classic "i am a dick" behaviour from wade wilson, my favourite dick

i will say i am extremely glad we got the ghouls vs goblins back and forth in this podcast ep because it's SUCH a good look inside glenn and charlie's ideas/writing process, and it was. silly 😋

working on my roudise week fanfic has made me realize that louise would be very manic pixie dream girl coded if she wasn't the main character (with rudy being the scott pilgrim type) Not sure what to think about this.

#louise is a very emotionally complex character with a lot of depth (at least for a nine year old) #but if she was in the hands of another writer i could see her being mishandled to the point that she's only a snappy sarcastic dream girl #with dyed hair who flips rudy's world upside down or whatever #speaking of which anyone remember the we bare bears manic pixie dream girl parody. that KILLS me #YOU MEAN YOUR FATHER????? #txt #bob's burgers
