Already posted the chapter update for the AO3 version, but this is the FFN link for the latest on the medieval Pokémon fanfic, Fading Wind Violets!
We’re following Greninja for this chapter, and he takes us over to some familiar faces as he tries to adjust his battle skills, and then finds updates on some of his friends from the Grass Fields Kingdom. You may find some familiar faces...

She and I laugh a little as we approach the Grass Fields Castle courtyard. We wave to Golurk in the distance, and pass some columns to watch a few knights practicing.
My eyes end up drifting to Typhlosion, and I watch him work with pole weapons against Escavalier. The latter drives one of his lances forward, as Typhlosion twists around his spear. Driving it into the ground, Typhlosion swings around it and kicks Escavalier away.
Reaching to the other weapon, a naginata, Typhlosion spirals past it and slides down the pole's length. Hopping from it, he plucks the weapon out as he touches the ground. Spinning it in his hands, he thrusts it forward to block another jab from Escavalier. Flicking his lance upward, Typhlosion tackles Escavalier back and spins around the naginata distance himself.
"He's more focused than usual," notes Accelgor as we approach. "His movements have a fine rhythm to them."
"Elegant, I'd call it," I agreed. "I don't normally see Typhlosion move like that. Fairly fast, but not usually so stylish." As we get closer, I wave to him. "Hey, Typhlosion! Is that why you prefer pole weaponry?"
"Ah, gods! What?" He fumbles the naginata in his hands and loses his footing. The flames on his collar spike up, as an annoyed Typhlosion spots me. "Greninja! What are you watching me for?"
"Oh, sorry." My hand falls as I grip my arm. "I thought you looked cool."
"It'snot that big of a deal." His face is a bright red and he looks down. "But, uh, thanks." A red and white lance bonks him on the head. "Ow! Hey!"
"Lad, we're still supposed to be training," points out Escavalier. "Don't let yourself get distracted by idle chatter!"
"We started just before they even left! That means we should be wrapped up with our session anyway," argues Typhlosion. He slouches and loosens his grip on the weapon.
...
Typhlosion seems to be pretty skilled with swinging on poles, huh?
There is more to go over in the chapter, including Greninja training with Accelgor, and Samurott’s return debut too!

What's your opinion on SneakpastShipping(Greninja x Chesnaught)?
I honestly do not care much for Pokemon/Pokemon ships unless it’s like. Clearly established in the anime or if they have solid personalities like they do in PMD (or if it’s a Nuzlocke ship) so I guess you could say I’m neutral? Lol
If you missed the updates from last weekend, the medieval Pokémon fanfic is back once again! We’re still at the beginning, but, the main characters are now returning to the scene.
This new chapter follows Greninja as he practices combat with weapons he uses less frequently, paired up against...a friend he’s getting closer to lately!
After they train, Greninja reconnects with a few familiar faces as well. Things are a bit different with everyone’s dynamics, however...

There is a slight sway to the nearby tree branches before the wind sounds for me. That minute difference can still mean life or death if I'm not careful.
We're not too far outside of Eventide Forest, because she loves to train by the trees. Reminds her of home, gives her strong coverage, and she likes to make watch me flounder while I search for her. My eyes dart between each of the trees, waiting for her to emerge again. The forest isn't too dark to search, but it's definitely suitable to obscure sight regardless of the hour.
Damn it. I can see the grass and trees moving before I can hear anything.
Tightening my grip against the kunai in my hand, I narrow my eyes while I look. Using these short blades wouldn't be my first choice; I can generate water kunai in my hands faster than I can draw this little thing out, and those are more effective for me. Otherwise, I want my longer blades for close quarters, or my shuriken for distance.
Taking a moment, I reach at the bow on my back. Yumi for active combat, another weapon not for my strong suit. She wants to help me improve, but like this, I—
A snap sounds, a twig. Definitely a diversion, since she wouldn't misstep like that on purpose. Still, it gives away her location, which is to my left—wait, damn it, she definitely took a distant shot to break it. If that's the case…
Just as I turn to the right and lift my kunai, another meets it and slams hard against it. Her membrane coated hand locks into place briefly, and my eyes meet hers hiding below that pinkish red helmet-shaped head. Wider than usual, this excites her. And, unlike me, she enjoys using kunai and yumi.
Pulling back, she quickly delivers a barrage of swipes, our blades clanging, and she's darting around me in the process. My blocks are equal to her movements; if I can see her, I can keep up just enough. Well…almost.
...
Yep, Greninja’s practice partner is Accelgor, the ninja he arrived to Grass Fields with in the first place! They’re getting a bit closer in this story, and not just from the combat experiences.
Some other friendly faces from previous stories will include: Escavalier, Typhlosion, and Samurott! Oh, and as for Chesnaught, he leads the next chapter after this one.
Feel free to click the link above to read the story in full so far! Hope you enjoy.
Chestnaught could work out, too, though. You know. A thick chest and burly arms to cuddle you forever with.
“Wait, you mean he should be even buffer than he is now? So thick chest, burly arms, soft belly...and his signature winning smile...! He’d be unstoppable...!”
“I...I don’t think that’s how those work at all...”
“Nonsense. If we get started now, we can come up with regular routines that will help build your body up all around. You’ll be even more irresistible than ever before! Imagine such power...!”
“If you’d like it, I guess that’s good, but won’t it be bad if everyone finds me so attractive? Then your boyfriend would be...uh, Greninja? Where’d he...? Oh, I hope he didn’t take off to get started already...”
