The inherent blurring of the lines that comes with living together. They cook dinner side by side and work together more often than not. Sharing meals, sharing clothes sharing space.
They joke about the intimacy and joke about even more. Sapnap whines for Dream to cuddle him in bed and then they laugh it off. Dream chases him around the house screaming for him to kiss him. Just giggles and jokes while longing hides just underneath.
They tread a careful line of ‘not too much’. The jokes are longer and the punchlines are drawn out like they don’t want the ‘joking’ touching to end. Dream flops down on top of Sapnap to crush him and then stays long after the laughing stops.
It continues like that.
Most wrestling matches end in them wrapped around each other with someone’s face pressed into someone’s chest and hands running through hair.
It comes to a head when Sapnap screams “KISS ME!” And starts chasing Dream again. When he catches him by the sleeve he repeats it again, this time quiet, soft and almost pleading, “Kiss me?”
Dream does.
