Lost, do you know anything the forest scene in S4 because it's confusing to me: later during the Rumbling Levi tells Pieck and others that Ackermans can't be turned into titans but how does he know that? Did he drink the wine and knows that because he wasn't transformed? Did Zeke know o was he expecting Levi to transform as well? Sorry that part confused me

Sorry Anon, your guess is as good as mine here. We waited years for Yams to explain Ackerman lore and all we got was crumbs that amounted to nothing. The fact that he dropped this into the penultimate chapter without providing any further explanation just makes it even more frustrating.

It's not remotely clear how Levi knows that Ackermans can't be turned into Titans. He's not exactly a fount of Ackerman knowledge himself, hell he didn't even know he was an Ackerman until 4 years previously, and I doubt he learned much from Mikasa or Zeke in the interim.

It's possible that Levi did drink the wine in the forrest, which would explain how he knows this, but there's no canon proof that he did and to be honest, I don't think it's likely. In chapter 113 we see Levi asking his soldiers why would they need wine when they're on duty, especially as they already have tea (lol). I had a look at chapter 113 again and judging from Zeke's monologue as he flees the scene after transforming Levi's soldiers into Titans, it does appear that he knew Levi would not be affected. How much Zeke actually knew about the Ackermans is anyone's guess and sadly Isayama isn't telling ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

those arguing that armin was out of character with eren in the paths, reread... note that armin says "error", implying that this was a mistake, and its not justifiable. but he thanks eren, because it does mean that paradis will have more time to prepare. i also believe he thanked eren as a way of telling him goodbye and that he was grateful to have known him. it was sort of like "you can rest now" to eren.

For those that wonder how i reacted to the Darkroad's final, It's like you're reading the Kingdom Hearts manga but the more you get to the last few pages the more you realize you've been reading snk, volume 34 all along.

It's a shock, isn't it?That's how I felt.Because throughout the game, there are funny scenes interspersed with some serious moments without it ever becoming chaotic.The last episode of Dr. destroys me whether it's because all of a sudden we get the deaths of all of Xehanort's friends in a row, or whether it's the avalanche of plot twists we're used to at the end of every Kh game.But to get back to Xehanort's dead friends, the most shocking thing is that they really are dead.Okay, we've had some traumatic scenes in kh, whether it was Sora stabbing himself with the Keyblade of Hearts in kh1, or Xion's death in khDays, or even the fateful fate of the Wayfindertrio, but we can all agree that they all came back at some point.Xehanort's friends never had the right to come back in the saga. Xehanort will never see them again (Nomura makes them come back in kh4 please)And there is also the fact that Xehanort went through so much shit, he didn't deserve it.If the Wayfindertrio is the "bad ending version" of the Destiny trio, in that case it's the same with Xehanort and Sora.So you could look at it as if Xehanort would be what Sora would be if he had gone through all this.Conclusion I love this game and it's one of my favorite kh but damn NOMURA!

I know I should’ve been happy to see Captain Levi post-war but it doesn’t sit right with me. I am very glad to see another illustration of him—he looks toned and handsome, and mostly, he looks very capable of living useful.

What doesn’t sit right with me is the scenario. Is it still fan service to see Levi with kids he barely knew? There was never a connection among them. Gabi and Falco STILL have their parents. Their parents are the reason why they kept on fighting the war so that they could live a long life with them…and it is the same with Levi.

“Is it hope or despair his strength comes from?”

From the SNK exhibition, even before the events of Chapter 138, Levi’s tagline was a question of liege especially that he now lost Erwin. But it was finally answered that his strength comes from hope when desperately it was just two of them (Mikasa and Levi) battling the final war. It doesn’t need explanation, honestly, the way Levi’s eyes shone and the way he committed himself to Mikasa was a concrete evidence that he found himself another liege.

So that was one reason why it doesn’t sit right with me. Having Mikasa away from him, or maybe let’s put it in a gentle conclusion, having his squad (which is his family for many years) away from him in exchange for Gabi and Falco (which he barely knew) just because it resembled Furlan and Isabel? Come on…Levi isn’t that shallow.

Plus isn’t that Yelena I see over there? Does it sit still right that above all people he knew, he is here out with people he barely knew and put great damage to his life?

I’m so disappointed the way I was disappointed last 2021. The reason why a lot of RM shippers quit the fandom because of this bullshit. End events doesn’t make any sense.

It's the 2 year anniversary of chapter 138 aka Cabin Eremika. Aka that one time Eren created a whole alternate reality for the exclusive purpose of running away with Mikasa into the secluded mountains so he could spend 4 years breeding her while living a cute married cabin life together. Honestly one of the best things any author has ever written ever. It's anniversary should be an international holiday! 😤

AOT MANGA ENDING SPOILERS AHEAD!

eren... i didn't even like him till this season. everytime i think about him, i feel like puking. thats how devastating his death is... the ending panel makes me so happy tho, because both mikasa and eren have a peaceful look on their faces. and as we can see mikasa grows to be happy, and move on. i agree that some parts of the ending felt rushed, like ymirs whole "love" for fritz... but i think that was on purpose, because while it was about ymir and the eldians, most of all it was about eren, armin, and mikasa. this was their story. i don't think the ending could've been done any better, and there was so many loose threads that tied together, so much foreshadowing, it was just perfect. overall it was the best outcome in the long run and short run for eldia. even if mikasa had answered differently to eren's question in 123, they only would've had 4 years, and eldia would then be destroyed by the marleyans, and after eren died, then the cycle of the titans would repeat on. even tho mikasa and eren never got time as a couple, they got closure. eren knew that mikasa must kill him in order for the toxic cycle to end, and for true freedom of the eldians to be born again. mikasa became free, just like eren would've wanted, by cutting the chains of love that once made her struggle, to embracing love, not the acting out of "love". in the end, no one is invincible, and eldia in the future does suffer from bombings-- again id like to reiterate, that this was inevitable. i don't believe it to be armins fault for this, it was expected after the rumbling and once the world started to populate again, that there'd be more feuds and wars, and of course many nations would not forgive paradis... just like eren didn't forgive marley, and instead went and attacked them, at libero where the rest of the eldians, who are also suffering oppression are. eren entrusted the duty of protecting eldia to his friends, after making sure that he could secure them enough time to at least prepare and be ready, and that they may have the chance to live happy lives.

i don't believe eren saw all of the future, only snippets, and those things scared him. i don't believe he would've let hange die if he'd known. to eren, the past, the future, and the present were all one. id imagine having that going on in your head makes one not think straight. also, eren was never morally strong, he was hot-headed and angry, the only things or more so people that helped soothe this and helped him, were his friends, who he pushed away in fear that he'd endanger them. i can only imagine what the ending would've been if zeke had been killed, i wish we could see that. again obviously, eren didn't know about the marleyans attack on eldia to get falco and gabi back, meaning the future was not set in stone. which does sadden me, because that does mean that so many mistakes were made, ones which eren did not foresee. again eren's whole goal was to ensure mikasa and armins safety and wellbeing, at least until they are old. hence why eren went ahead with making dina skip bertholdt and eat his mom instead. so bertholdt would be alive so armin could eat him. i also personally believe that eren may have manipulated erwin during that moment, making him reject the spinal fluid. come on erwin could barely move. it was armin and mikasas happiness and life over his, he could not accept mikasa and armin not having a happy outcome.

bonus: levi's reaction to eren's death and the realization that they HAD to kill eren must've been a punch to the heart right after hange. he'd watched eren grow up, and eldia-- what they once believed to be humanity, had put their faith and hope into eren... only for eren to turn out like this. man isayama, why couldn't you let levi be happy for once, or at least in peace. you killed off the last of his generation of scouts, ending with hange, blew him up, humanity's strongest soldier, to pieces-- sort of-- for him to be wheelchaired around for the rest of his life. you just couldn't let the old man die could you.

once zeke and eren touched, there was nothing that could've been done. there was no saving eren, and the euthanasia would've gone through, hence why eren had to awaken ymir, and convince her to destroy humanity, instead of paradis. otherwise zeke would've been in control.

and then the real story begins, again. eren waking up from a dream of all the events we've just seen. crying.

hajime isayama you and your work are a fucking masterpiece.
