Magma event details!

Please check the rules below if you plan on joining our events!

A few words about Magma for newcomers:

Magma is a free browser based art program where participants can collaborate and draw on the same canvas at the same time! Magma works on both PC and mobile devices! Magma has most useful art program tools! But some are a little difficult to find, like layer opacity lock. You can export the images as PNGs and PSDs so you can save and keep all your layers etc.!

Hosting a session is easy! Set up a new canvas and share the link and that's it, you can start drawing. You can do public sessions like mine, or private sessions just with your close group. Update!! Previously you were able to use Magma anonymously without making an account, but this option does not exist anymore.

Our Magma event rules

Have fun! These events are meant to get you inspired, get to know other artists and create awesome art and ideas together!

Everyone is welcome to join my sessions! Doesn't matter where or when you join. You don't need to draw anything there, you can also just come and chat with us and watch others do their magic! Lurking is totally fine too!

Avoid drawing too big! Make sure to leave enough space for other people's drawings! Mind that there are 40-80 people partaking in these weekend events! (Max. 1/6th of the canvas per drawing is ideal!) We recommend to zoom in at 100-150% before you start drawing to avoid this. However! If you have an idea that others can contribute to, I'd be excited to hear it!! Those are highly appreciated!

Avoid drawing over the canvas frames!This is for possible future use in i.e. collages & personal aesthetics. They are there for a reason.

Keep it PG!

You are allowed to paste reference images in the session to use as a base etc.! Please remove them when you don't need them anymore and make sure not to cover areas where others are currently drawing!

When you are finished with your piece, please flatten your layers! The Magma total layer limit is 60 layers per canvas and it gets full rather fast. We have set a 8 layer limit per user/canvas. (If you have used layer effects in your piece, start flattening from bottom to top so they get preserved correctly!)

If you want to post/share Magma art that features other artists' works, you must ask for their permission first! This is very important!! Simple blur/solid color to hide them is ok, otherwise editing other people's art is not!

If you need more time to finish your piece, please let me know as soon as possible! If you know you aren't going to finish yours, please release the space for others to use!

Don't hesitate to ask anything! We are very happy to help out make the most of your session! Our regulars are all friendly and helpful, and my co-admin and mods are able to assist with i.e. getting your layers back!

Other tips!

Some users have experienced disasters losing layers for good by pressing CTRL + X, we recommend avoiding that for now!

Save regularly! Magma is a server based program so it's not as stable as your usual art programs, and also when the program refreshes you might lose some of your progress. Better saved than sorry! You can export the whole canvas as PNG, JPG & PSD!

You can have up to two Magma sessions open in your browser at once!

If you log out of the session you might lose rights to your layers. Please ask either the admin or approved users to give your layers back to you!

If Magma is going slow for you, it may be fixed by turning off the graphics accelerator. Go to Edit > Settings > Turn off Graphics Accelerator.

Merge layers with layer effects starting from bottom to top! For some reason Magma messes them up easily otherwise and the results will not look like you want.

Magma has a text chat we love to hang out in, it's of course optional but we would be happy to have you there!

You can send private messages to others by being on the same canvas with the receiver and clicking their icon!

Magma also has a voice call option. We prefer not to use it, but it's easy to misclick the button! Don't be alarmed!

We're continually figuring out new features and bugs in each session, I want to note down all of them to make the sessions as smooth and fun for you as possible! Let us know if you have any issues!

Also something notable: it's always well appreciated if you draw official Pokémon characters! Most of my followers are into submas or Pokémon in general so as the host I'd like to offer content most would enjoy! Some events welcome OCs but the free doodle session will always stay open for your characters!

After everyone is done I start post-processing the images. It may take a while until they are ready to be posted, please be patient! I will post the art on both my Twitter and Tumblr. You can use #jun's magma events for tagging your posts!

Long vent post about a friend of mine I'm worried about. Going to put it behind a cut so it doesn't clog up anyone's dash and you can just ignore if you don't want to see me ramble for like 20 pages lol.

One of my really good friends is currently in jail stemming from mental health issues. I don't want to go into the whole deal of what happened out of respect for her privacy but it's just shitty. Like I know there's really nothing that I could have done, or anyone else for that matter, short of physically intervening or contacting the police. I don't think any of us really had the resources to even really get to her, let alone do anything once there to help and she never directly said it but I felt it was very much implied she would rather via suicide by cop than be forced to go back to the hospital.

But like just looking back. She started believing I was an imposter so we haven't really spoken in over a month. She told me months ago that she thought some of the users from the forum we met on were imposters as well, but I just thought it was like a fleeting delusion? Or I don't know. She's schizoaffective and has always struggled with psychosis and stuff. She apparently left her mom a voicemail since she's been arrested and has accused her of being an imposter as well. I'd really love to write her a letter, we would exchange letters sometimes anyway just as a fun thing to do, but also I know how important letters can be when you're incarcerated. But if she's still suffering from Capgras delusions, I don't want to just agitate her more either.

For months now I've wanted to reach out to a mutual friend about her mental state, because it's been very clearly declining. I didn't know what to say though, or like if I did, what could be done. And we aren't like friends really, I mean we know each other from posting in the same Discord servers or whatever, but we weren't even friends on Discord. So I didn't want to add her and then message her and bother her with this stuff. Especially because I didn't know how she would react to any of it and I was kind of afraid she may tell our friend what I had said and that would make things worse.

They recently moved her from a city jail to a county jail and that has me very concerned because everyone I know who has been in jail says the same thing, county jail is the hardest time to do. Because they just have so few resources comparatively. One of my other friends was in jail one time and he told me there was a period of time that they just fucking ran out of toilet paper. It's only been a day but she apparently hasn't been getting her meds either since transferring.

It's very unlikely that she'll be released anytime soon also. She's being charged with a felony. Mutual Friend (MF for short from now on to make this more readable hopefully) is in contact with her mom thankfully who is keeping us updated. Either MF offered or Mom asked, I'm not sure which and it doesn't really matter, about if I'd be willing to do something like be a character witness for her, so I gave MF my phone number to give to Mom, so I'm just kind of waiting on a text now. I don't really know how the logistics of that would work, but luckily she does live somewhat close so even necessary I could likely travel there in person but it'd kind of be inconvenient. I'd totally do it though and I'm glad that if that's what needs to be do, it is at least a possibility. I'd do anything I could to help her, unfortunately that's just not a whole lot.

hey this is probably a v common ask but if i were a system, how would i know for sure? im already autistic, and i suspect i might be plural bc my parents tell me abt what my friends say is a "horrifying and traumatic" childhood that i dont remember experiencing, they tell me abt conversations i dont remember having with them, i end up on places i dont remember walking to and i am congratulated on achievements that i dont remember doing or punished for things i know i wouldnt have done. i sometimes feel like i am in a fishbowl being carried around by someone else, or like im between radio channels hearing both at once and tgey respond sometimes and i thought they were just thoughts, like that was a normal way people thought but people i ask say its not normal. im sorry for tge length of this message im just not sure qhats going on with me

At this point I'm going to go ahead and say that if you do feel plural or more apt if you feel like interacting with the plural community and identifying as plural will help you then you should go ahead and do it. Personally the fact that you're responding to your thoughts like that seems pretty inherently on the plural spectrum to me.

With the memory loss and dissociation I'd suggest doing some research into DID. If you don't feel comfortable diagnosing yourself with it that's perfectly fine but you should be able to find resources that can help you.

Here are some activities that can help get you started in the questioning/syscovery process

Try and get in touch with anyone in your brain. Find a quiet spot you can just think without too many distractions (you can do it other times but it's going to be much harder) and ask "is anyone there?" or introduce yourself or something. Because it's very likely your system mates are just as confused about all of this as you are, you might ask and get back an answer like "No one's here" or "I'm not real" or "I don't know" and if you get that it means there is someone there but they are very confused themselves. If nothing happens that also doesn't mean you're definitely singlet it's also possible no one is up front when you're asking.

If you have places that you imagine clearly when you picture the inside of your mind it's possible that you have a headspace. Something the sometimes works is trying to go there. What I did was meditated one night and told "wait til a house shows up" which was oddly specific anyway it sort of worked but I found out that I'm not able to see or move anything when I'm fully "in" headspace so it was mostly just disorienting I found out that I can physically hear stuff from there if I'm disconnected from front enough (really I have to be on the verge of falling asleep) but it's just as valid if it's solely a place you're imagining rather than giving you any clear senses, you can kind of tell whether it's you completely making everything up or if others are there/it's a metaphorical space because the latter just kind of...flows naturally? When you're imagining stuff intentionally that takes effort and conscious thought, if it's all happening to you naturally, people respond without you thinking of their responses or they make their own choices separate from you, etc. then that's different than regular pretending. This is probably written confusingly sorry this stuff is hard to describe.

Journaling! You can do this on paper or do it in a discord server created just for yourself (if you want to you can add pluralkit and people can create their own profiles on it and have their own icons/names/etc that way but that's optional) or something else there's apps you can use as well Antar is a good one but really you could do it anywhere you can write or type. You can write messages for other parts of you who take over, ask them questions for later, or you can do that to pass on important notes of what's going on when and scheduling and stuff. Basically, the idea is that you're copiloting a body with a bunch of people who haven't been able to properly speak to each other so you need to find a way to keep important information the others might need accessible.

i’m sorry, but why don’t you give the people who say your server isn’t perfect a chance? your experience could be entirely different from someone else’s and they’re trying to bring that to your attention. for you to shut it down and make them feel like an idiot makes me understand why they think it’s cliquey. just listen. i’m sure it will be a lot more valuable than you know and people are trying to tell you this way through anon so they don’t have the risk of getting bullied or harassed, but yet you still did it to them.

okay please don't act like i'm not open to criticism about the server or willing to say that things can be improved,, because that's never ever been the case. we have a suggestions channel where everyone can suggest things they'd like, things that could be up for improvement etc,, i've always always been open to changing things to fit people, hence why i have a lot of other mods,,, bc im a dumb bitch and i don't know shit a lot of the time.

i have had ? a dozen? or more messages, most likely from the same person, tell me again and again they dislike the server, they wish they never joined, the mods are bad and more. i never blocked the messages before this because i wanted to give them the chance to come with an actual issue we can work through even though i think it's really a no go to do it via anon because i HAVE to answer it publicly to be able to even give an answer. i'd way rather solve any problem in dms bc i'm worried about people feeling targeted.

but at this point i'm the one who's being harassed over it. that's why i shut it down. idk why they think it's okay to treat me like i'm trying to slaughter children when i made a s m a l l s e r v e r for people to talk in. if they would've brought it to me on dm, through a mod, through anything other than being a jerk on anon, i would've never been mean.

it's literally in the rules of the server front and center.

i've had actually mature people reach out to me in dms before and the 'problems' were solved within a few messages. idk what this message was trying to accomplish but i'd rather you don't.

hey what's the deal with empiresonas if you dont mind me asking? I'd like to maybe join the community in some capacity but I dont know how to do that

Empiresonas Discord Server was a server originally started as a place to discuss and develop ocs in the empires world. As it stands, it's become more of a general empires discord after just under two weeks.

It's a friendly place overall, though we do have over 100 members. And we do have some of the most cursed discussions I've ever seen. But there's also a lot of cool headcanons, aus, and worldbuilding ideas around and people pretty much always around to discuss them. We also have roleplay sections for roleplaying the empires ocs themselves.

We also have a rather incredible amount of server lore given we're nto even a week old. Scott Smajor joining for at least a day, everyone being forcibly turned cyan for Slut Smajor Saturday (originally as a way to give Scott the Scott Smajor role sneakily but now happens weekly), the "interesting mob vote" as it was called in one stream with Fwhip, Gem, and Sausage. We also have a fishfucker pride flag, our own (possibly still a work in progress) cards against humanity deck made by @zlixlriffs, and a thread thats been running nearly two weeks where most messages are just 'whorenoth'.

In summary, it's a fun and friendly place but can be chaotic and cursed as hell. We're also constantly on the watch for containment breaches in streams, at this point. If you'd like to join, I'll leave an invite link below:

Hello hermitblr, me and @coppertip-canary were discussing inhuman hermits and they had a really cool headcanon for Xisuma's powers.

Basically: Xisuma has a type of shapeshifting where he can mimic things, such as mobs while keeping his humanoid shape. This takes a lot of energy and isn't immediately reversible and it takes longer to revert with more drastic changes. He could also mimic another player, but then be stuck looking like them for who knows how long.

So I raised the idea: what if X pushed his powers a bit too far, further than he usually would, and became an actual axolotl. And we bounced ideas back and forth for a while.

And given he's working with Evil X, that raises the oppurtunity for the newest capitalist on the server to have to carry him around in a bucket, a bit like X does with Mini Me. Yeah he'd grumble a lot and claim he hates doing it, but given his recent interaction with a strider and the fact he cared enough to do part of a video when X was ill, he probably wouldn't mind too much.

Other fun things:

- X still has to do admin duties, but has to do it as an axolotl. Evil X has to hold him up to the admin panels because he lost his helmet when he became an axolotl. Tiny axolotl slapping buttons trying to get things to work while occasionally dipping back into a bucket.

- The joys of the other hermits finding out and carrying X's bucket around with them, despite his annoyed axolotl sounds. They have absolutely terrified him half to death several times, at least one of them managing to drop the bucket once.

- The hermits accidentally manage to switch X with another axolotl from their aquariums. They don't realise until much later, when X manages to undo the changes. Can't decide if a hermit coming home to doom guy desperately tapping the glass going 'please let me out' or <Xisuma drowned.> appearing in chat is the funniest way for the others to find out.

- They fed him tropical fish, and he never stopped eating it. He refuses to tell the others that, but they've all seen him sneakily munching on one in a corner. They all get him tropical fish as gifts occasionally. He says he doesn't eat them but if you ask him where the fish went he changes the subject.

Addressing the Issue

This entire post is to address an incident that took place on the Magic Shop Net server which later became a public issue after My understanding of what @kingsuckjin (I'm unable to tag them due to an issue with my phone but I'm leaving the tag in there incase they see it) and @btsaudge posted about it on their blogs:

The last 24 hours ish have been rather stressful and confusing for me as something that I never imagined in my wildest dreams would happen, has happened.

As many of you may or may not know, I have been and am currently affiliated with a few Writer's Networks and have been for a while now. A few months ago, an incident occured in one of them which left me rather hurt and upset. I talked about some of it in an older post so you can read it but neither have I there nor will I here go in depth into what happened as the entire issue was dealt with privately and that was the end of it.

The reason I bring it up is that after that incident, I stopped talking it engaging much in other Network servers that I was on, in fear that something wrong would happen again. But of course it did.

Due to the fact that a safe word was used in the chat, I do not have any screenshots or receipts to clarify what was said as the chats were wiped. What I am going to do though is go through the screenshots posted by the aforementioned two people on their tumblr and dissect what was said.

@moccahobi was one of the people who I discussed this matter with before going public with it as it was them who informed me about the posts in the first place.

A few things need to be made clear before I proceed:

(1) I am no longer stan BTS or identify as an army. Now before you jump to conclusions, hear me out. This in no way means I hate the boys or classify as a "hater". I love, respect and admire the boys as artists and as people and am grateful to them for introducing me to kpop and for helping me through tough times

(2) I am a trained singer in Hindustani, Carnatic, and Western Classical music and have been singing all my life. I am also a music producer working to make a career out of my music. This is important as we get into the meat of the issue.

First, let's address the "allegations" or "arguments" made by the two people in question

The main two points made here was:

(1) I (or we) was critiquing their voices

(2) I (or we) was critiquing their weight

The points made here was:

(3) I (or we) was discussing songs of BTS that I didn't like

(4) I (or we) was critiquing their voices

(5) I (or we) was critiquing their wheight

(6) I (or we) was critiquing what they ate

(7) I (or we) was encouraging a negative stereotype about people being fat.

Let's go over the actual conversation with context, shall we?

Now as I mentioned before, since the messages were deleted I don't have receipts but you can reference my claims with @moccahobi or decide for yourself whom to trust:

First let's address talking about songs of their we didn't like (argument no. 3):

The whole conversation started in the first place when I asked in the chat if anyone had any unpopular K-pop Opinions for a video I was working on for my YouTube channel. This led to one of the people in the chat mentioning that had big BTS opinions and I said that MOTS 7, I'm my opinion is the worst album BTS has ever released. For context: I was still army at the time when the album dropped.

This discussion was from a place of honesty where I said why I didn't like certain songs of theirs. In the chat there is a mention of not having meaningful lyrics: I listened to Bollywood music growing up and there are a lot of songs in that genre that exist for fun and have no deep meaning and sometimes such songs are required to break up the "deepness" of the songs.

As a producer myself, I found the songs rather generic and boring and I talked about that. The argument of "the boys would feel so bad" is no reason for not judging their music objectively.

Secondly, let's talk about the whole critiquing their voices thing (argument no: 1 & 4)

(only a statement made by @strawbxxymilk was available to me but I'm just giving context to what the fuller intention of the conversation was because this text is clearly taken out of context)

I, as mentioned before am a trained singer and it really worries me to see that the boys are using techniques of singing that could affect the longevity of their voice and career because I care. I never talked about their tonal quality so it was never about "taste" it was an objective analysis of technique.

I want the boys to do well and have long careers that's why I worry. I want them to do well and yet you say "it sounds like they don't like BTS at all". You can have your opinion and I can have my own but it doesn't mean I don't like the boys.

Lastly, I would like to address the whole wheight issue (argument no: 2, 5, 6 & 7):

First of all; I'm overwheight/healthy/fat whatever you call it. I hate people being fat shamed because I have been all my life. That was the entire point of the discussion which is being misinterpreted or misrepresented. My definition of "fat" or "overwheight" is that of being over a wheight that is considered medically healthy and NOT culturally or socially accepted.

I was outraged by people calling two of the people who inspired me to become musicians, Youngjae of GOT7 and Suga, fat because they are not. They are below the norm in my opinion. I find it disrespectful when people call people who are clearly doing well and healthy fat and that's why I discussed that matter. Also I have no memory of ever engaging in discussing "what the boys ate" . Now there is no way to prove either side of the argument as there are no available screenshots atleast with me to prove that and the chat is wiped clean. If there is proof though, I would suggest the two people who made this issue to come forth with them and I will retract this part (and only this part) of my statement regarding the 'what they ate' issue.

(I was given clarification by @moccahobi that she mentioned that the boys are not eating "nine cups of ramen" as they were before but that comment had nothing to do with their wheight, it was only about them being able to afford and eating proper decent meals)

I never thought I'd have to make this post in the first place. I'm sad that I was not contacted before conversations I engaged in with people who I consider my friends would become subject to public scrutiny.

I've stayed silent many times before when things have happened but I will no longer. I am here to speak my truth and my side of a story that was twisted, taken out of context and put on public blast.

In the end, all I want to say is that nothing I said was meant to hurt anyone but I don't regret a word I said and won't take back any statements I made in the chat. I'm sorry if you, Audge and Moon, were hurt by what I said for that was not my intention. I just wish I was approached before you put these chats up.
