Partner had probably-Covid a month or two ago (doing okay now, & kid and I never had symptoms--yay vaccines!), and now I'm dealing with family drama, on top of the political hellscape... I think my already tired, nd brain has gone into power-saving mode, because I just feel... blank.

I miss writing. I was playing with my story for Dragon Age Origins, but all this happened right when I needed to come up with ideas for my new OCs, so that has stalled. Doesn't help that just getting out my laptop is exhausting.

I've gotten back into KotOR again now that I can play it on Switch. I haven't really done anything with my fanfic besides a bit of organizing, but playing the game again has been fun.

I have been listening to audio books more lately, which is cool. Some of that was while farming credits with Pazaak in KotOR... until I found the create credits cheat. lol

The Bridgerton novels are... kind of terrible? I have even more appreciation for season 2 of the TV series now. I hadn't anticipated that the consent issues would be so much worse in the second book than in the first. There were moments that made me laugh though. I really like what the TV series has done with them, aside from how it handled the marital rape in season 1.

The Perks of Loving a Wallflower by Erica Ridley was delightful! Nice, easy read with wonderful characters and a lovely narrator. It made me laugh, and it made me cry just a little, in a good way.

I'm excited to finally be reading The Palace Job, though it's more difficult for my brain to process. I feel like I need a chart to keep track of all the moving parts, and the reader's voice/accent is a challenge. Not a criticism, really, just the state of my brain. I actually bought that one, so I might take a break and come back to it when I'm better able to focus. (Pay no attention to the hard copy I've been saying that about for years. lol Audio books really do help.)

House of Mirth and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy just came up on Libby, so I guess those are next. I'm especially looking forward to House of Mirth because Age of Innocence is one of my favorites.
