"Thank you." The words spilled out and Yoo Joonghyuk replied indifferently. "Don't say anything that isn't in your heart. I know you dislike me." "Of course, I dislike you. I hate you. You are the person who took my role." "I don't know what that means." In Lee Sookyung's head, time flowed slowly. She heard that it should move quickly… then why? Was it because it was hard and difficult? "…I've known you from a long time ago. That kid often talked about you. He came to visit his mother in prison and only talked about this." –This time, he challenged the 12 gods of Olympus. The young face of Kim Dokja as he talked happily. Many thoughts had floated on this child's face. Yoo Joonghyuk spoke like he felt Lee Sookyung's heart rate slowing down. "Lee Sookyung. Don't let go of your mind." Lee Sookyung barely maintained her blurring consciousness. She continued to be drowsy on Yoo Joonghyuk's back. "In any case, at least once… I wanted to thank you." "You are saying things that I can't understand."
Okay, so I've been thinking this for a while now but is Joonghyuk perhaps literally unable to comprehend that he's a character in a novel?
Like, at first I just thought it was a secret (obviously it was) and he didn't know and then I thought that maybe, for some reason, he just didn't care because he's so goal-motivated and has crushed down all his own emotions beyond what's needed to save the world, but now I'm really starting to wonder if he literally cannot process it. Like maybe he has his own version of Fourth Wall but it stops him from realizing that he's a character in a novel no matter what people say.
Like, Han Sooyoung literally calls him "protagonist" to his face but it's Han Sooyoung so it's quite possible he brushed it off as that's just how she sees the world as a writer.
But we also have the fact that people were starting to recognize that the world was following TWSA way back before Dokja got lost for three years, heck people were recognizing it both inside and outside the Seoul dome way back when he pretended to be Joonghyuk for the first time. Since then, rumors have been spread all across the internet and there's apparently still functioning news agencies because Dokja's party members are treated like celebrities.
So you'd think by now that it has to be common knowledge right? If nothing else, Sooyoung can't have been the only person to ever say something weird or act weird around the Yoo Joonghyuk. It wouldn't shock me at all if people haven't tried to interview him like they did with Heewon and Jihye.
So does he genuinely have no feelings in regards to finding out he's a fake person? Do none of the other characters not care either? We've had plenty of POV scenes from other characters but thinking about it, the one time that we see the novel openly discussed is between Dokja and his mom, Dokja and Sooyoung, Sooyoung and Sangah...all non-characters...
And now we have Dokja's mom trying to have this serious conversation with Joonghyuk and he's saying he doesn't understand and while you can take that to mean that he doesn't understand how he helped Dokja since he's only recently met him, I'm starting to wonder if it's not more literal - that he literally can't process what she's talking about.
Like, Dokja literally just got done showing the giants the literal scenes of TWSA and Joonghyuk had no reaction whatsoever. Like, maybe in that particular instance he wasn't able to see those scenes, only Dokja and the giants could, but still...
"Where are your parents?" "I was told they died in an accident." "You don't sound sad." "I can't grieve what I can't remember." Lee Sookyung knew. He didn't remember because it wasn't in the original novel. Everything about Yoo Joonghyuk was just a character setting. From the beginning, Yoo Joonghyuk's parents didn't exist. Lee Sookyung hesitated for a moment. "Yes, humans are like this. Do you think I remember all my childhood?" "…Is it memory loss?" "Everyone gets memory loss. Little by little, we will forget our memories and one day, we will forget everything."
And then on the other side we have this. It almost feels like Sookyung is trying to reassure him that it's normal not to remember things that happened when they were children and she specifically goes out of her way to say humans are like this. Like she's trying to tell him that he's still a human and reassure him that this is normal and not from him literally being a made up person.
So maybe he does know and has just been quietly processing it? Or maybe he does have a Fourth Wall, maybe all the characters do, but instead of blocking them from understanding, their versions keep their reactions to the real world muted whereas Dokja's keeps his reactions to TWSA muted? So they're aware but just can't bring themselves to care???
Like, I could see maybe one or two people just genuinely not caring, and maybe one of those people is Joonghyuk just because of how emotionally exhausted he has to be by now (both him AND 1863rd) but you're telling me that Lee Jihye doesn't have some opinions on all of that? Lee Hyunsung hasn't at least asked Dokja what he was like in the novel? Shin Yoosung hasn't asked about what she did in a future without Dokja taking her under his wing?
And then finally we have this:
Yoo Joonghyuk spoke, "Sometimes I remember things. I remember someone watching me." It was the first time Lee Sookyung heard this story and she wondered, "…Who was watching you?" "I don't know either. There was a gaze watching me for a long time. There were times when I often felt the gaze." After Yoo Joonghyuk's words were over, Lee Sookyung didn't talk for a long time. There was a long silence before Lee Sookyung laid her hands on Yoo Joonghyuk's head and spoke in a gentle voice. "Maybe it was your parents." Lee Sookyung stared up at the sky. Numerous constellations were watching them.
I feel like Sookyung is once again trying to make him feel better by saying it was his parents but at the same time Joonghyuk isn't really connecting the whole "Dokja came to talk to me about you every day when he was younger" to "Dokja knows my entire life story including my future" to "someone has been watching me for years." Or, if he is connecting the two, he's unwilling to verbalize it and just seems like he's side-stepping the whole issue?? So either he can't process that he's a character or can but can't really feel it?
Well, if nothing else, I do love it when we get mentions of Joonghyuk feeling like someone was with him during his hardships just the same as Dokja felt that Joonghyuk was there with him during his.

8 10 orvie
HII ELISEYY my friend. thank you for the ask! and sorry it took so long the sleepies and school and etc. I HOPE COLLEGE IS GOING WELL FOR YOU BTW!!!!!!!
this got so long sorry you know how it is with novels. but hey before i read more the rest of this guys if anyone else wants to send me hater asks you still can... i only got one 🥲 does nobody else want to send asks to their friend nico? i've actually been so dead lately guys that is on me. but i still love you all.......
anyways um 8 is "common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about" and 10 is "worst part of fanon" pretty similar really going for the haterisms here okok. hmmm i honestly don't even interact with the orv fandom that much like most of the orv posts that aren't just art that i see are mine and my few orvie mutuals' which i usually respect i don't see a lot of posts from outside of this orv echo chamber i've created for myself which i'm ok with tbh. but something i see a lot that i don't like is the depiction of kdj as a scammer type like the breed same as cale tcf and others? i haven't read regression instruction manual but like he's a common comparison and such. and it's true that they're all from the similar mold of like "isekai/fantasay coming to real life but i have an upper hand because i read the book it came from nyeheh" and in that specific aspect yeah kdj has his moments where he takes advantage of his knowledge but it seems like some people attribute him being a liar an unreliable narrator etc to that part of the story also and i don't totally agree with that. he's not an unreliable narrator because he's trying to be sneaky and smart the dude is depressed. he's been so depressed since he was like 13 and he's a grown ass man now it's totally changed his outlook and makes him unable to see the world and his interactions with others properly for what it is. he didn't lie to our faces about smiling when he was actually crying because he was trying to be smart and sneaky it was cause he's sad as fuck and can't even recognize it because he's lowkey wanted to kill himself since middle school. i do agree that cale is similar in that he downplays how insane he is almost dying all the time and getting hurt forever but not caring and driving all his friends up the wall with it without even realizing and like he's also depressed as fuck but when people group them together for being self sacrificing bastard scammers or whatever i just feel like it's different a lot of the time. we aren't seeing the same thing there.
i guess that's my soapbox for 8 umm for 10. the way yoo sangah gets pushed aside so often peeves me for sure. she's so everything where did you put her....? and the kids too the kids are so important to me and to kdj but they're never given justice i feel. honestly i think all of kimcom doesn't get enough love most of the time or maybe i've just been bad at finding content that actually does them well it just feels like there's so much joongdok yaoi and not enough friendship and mentorship and everything. jihye and joongdok are so everything but i never see the two of them together ever. heewon and hyunsung also. even if you're not the biggest fan of them romantically like i respect the lesbian heewon grind don't you care that they're the sword and shield.......? and of coures sys and yjh have a lot of interesting potential but no one ever does anything with it. and there's never enough lee gilyoung anywhere i love you gilyoung. yes that's my fanon complaint. too much yaoi focus... there's so much love everywhere it's a main theme but the story ain't a romance there's so much more out there. take my hand we can discover friendship together

Trying to pick apart ORV as a very noob writer hence why I'm reading it very very slowly (it's actually because I've been so busy with work that I can barely breathe these days).
Tumblr media
But anyways it's interesting just how much Yoo Sangah's introductory passage reveals her entire character setting. I didn't think much of this beyond the surface reading, as in "oh she's a heroine type who got a lot of unwanted attention because she's pretty and capable, but she's actually more than that, she's determined and independent."
I guess I've unfortunately been looking at her character through hankim's lens lol. But this is good. It means I'm one step closer to understanding her as a "person".
I feel like now that I've understood a fraction of what she's experienced (commuting daily to my full time job and minor workplace issues), I realized just how fucking insane and amazing Yoo Sangah is. It's also... Interesting how quickly she opens up to Dokja about this? I didn't really understand dok/sang before because I thought kdj didn't deserve someone like her (again. Hankim pov lol), but now I do. Despite being supposedly "popular" and "well liked" the workplace harassment she faced must've given her a sense of kinship with the office outcast...
Unfortunately this sentiment is not shared with Dokja, who due to his nature and self disregard, thinks of her as someone so above and beyond him, someone so far away due to her perceived "perfection". As Dokja is a reader by heart, he unconsciously sees her as a character and not a person in his life, and in doing so, rids her of her humanity a bit.
Hence why, though it doesn't necessarily mean that he thought those rumors are true, he must've thought there was some truth to it/the truth must not be too far from it, thus why he felt the need to add that as context. It establishes his limited outsider's perspective on YSA.
I feel like (and I could def be wrong), KDJ isn't necessarily judging her for it, he's just going with the commonly held assumption, and he reads it as something like "oh she's the type of heroine that would be waited on her hands and feet" and such, or something
So when YSA answers him, it's really funny because it really breaks that common assumption. Like, oh. YSA isn't just your good ol' cool heroine.
She's fucking insane.
Because with the way KDJ's narration leads us, or perhaps leads me. I'd think that the less sinister alternative (compared to the implications embedded in the rumors) would be that she's from a well to do family who has someone driving her, or, is able to drive herself.
But no, she fucking commutes to and from work every day on bike. On a fucking bicycle.
I know Seoul probably has bike paths and everything being a major city in a global north country and all that, and maybe her house or apartment isn't that far, but knowing Yoo Sangah, that probably wouldn't even be a problem.
And honestly given the fact that she said she's doing this to make up for the lack of exercise (which means it is something she does regularly too), probably means she'd have traveled either a long way or taken longer routes on purpose, knowing how she is.
Which is insane, to someone like me, who commutes every day by bus/train and has so little time to do much else and am thus probably much closer to kdj than i ever will to YSA.
To bike, to ((exercise)) daily as your commute to work is insane. It takes insane amounts of willpower and dedication. I know she mainly does desk jobs being HR and such but the workload is still a lot
So it just gives me this picture of like, how probably, neatly curated and insanely full YSA's life is, how committed she is.
The only reason she's commuting by subway here, isn't because she got tired or something, it's because her bike got stolen. Which prob means she's so used to doing it everyday that the only thing that would stop her is if something happened to her bike... That's amazing.
YSA is no perfect heroine or gentle woman. She's an insanely dedicated office lady who should also be drawn with the most powerful thighs in the universe. Okay that last one, I got sidetracked because I'm gay sorry. Point is.
Yoo Sangah.

i want to know yoo jonghyuk's opinions on video games so bad. he probably thinks cooking mama is pretentious. his favorite final fantasy is probably ff3 and ff13 bc nobody's played if & everyone hates it, respectively. he's speedrun minecraft hardcore mode at least 4 times. He Has Opinions on Balan Wonderworld.
#.text#orv#i want to hear his opinions on balan wonderworld so fucking bad. you dont get it#yoo jonghyuk: while its gameplay is nothing special and arguably is the reason why the game is so awful to play and considerably ruins#any chance of liking this game. balan wonderworld has an art style that is generally well developed and character design that is some of th#kim dokja: the theme from the first world has been stuck in his head for the past week and any time i mention it he tries to kick me out#yes hes a 'pro gamer'. no he would literally never touch call of duty or some such even if it cost him his life.#lee hyunsung and yoo sangah would play animal crossing together. :)#lee hyunsung likes the calm games. stardew valley. minecraft. animal crossing.#so does yoo sangah but she also just really likes it when she can go batshit. let her kill people or something#i think jung heewon and han sooyoung would both really like rpgs but if you ask them which ones and why#you would get completely different answers. han sooyoung probably thinks kingdom hearts is really fucking stupid#and jung heewon is probably knee deep in every ff ever. if you ask her her fav zelda she'll point to all of them. hope this helps#speaking of kh. lee gilyoung and shin yoosung both love kh but for completely different reasons#shin yoosung is obsessed w the theories and lore and character development aspect. she really likes the trinity trio & namine.#lee gilyoung thinks the entirety of it is stupid as fucking hell but he eats it up so much. he cried laughing when goofy died in kh2#he probably really likes days though. he would think riku is cool n he is wrong riku is a dork gilyoung god how many times do i have tk tel#i cant for the life of me fathom what video games kim dokja would like. he probably doesnt.#if he did hed like the ones that make him think. he is that type of person.#trying to think of games like that. all i can come up with is nier. he is forbiddan from nier though bc he would misinterpret#literally all of it & i would kill and end him for it he wouldnt get it he wouldnt get it alright. he wouldnt understand. its abt love.#yoo sangah and han sooyung meet cute in like. a call of duty lobby. god sorry that sentence is so fucking funny hang on#assigning every character a zelda game. yoo jonghyuk really likes the more puzzle based ones. his fav newer one is probably tp#kim dokja is bad at zelda. his favorite is probably oot bc its the only one hes played. han sooyung thinks mm is a masterpiece (shes wrong)#yoo sangah likes albw. ravio is just a funny little guy! an lee hyunsung would probably like. botw/ss. bc hes a romantic at heart i know it#lee gilyoung likes oot. shin yoosung thinks its overrated. she is right. her fav is probably wind waker or ss. maybe links awakening#jung heewon. dont ask her abt her zelda opinions theyre too long and complicated. cant even comprehend which would be her fav#torn between her not ever playing zelda & her having played all of them. i am sure though she found out abt the series#when listening to someone in a drunken haze infodump in the bar she worked at at like 11pm. i know it. i Know it. bc its rlly funny#i feel like im forgetting someone..... it happens. im tired. and i started this post bc i had a dream abt them.. i wish i could remember it

voice hc list
devi made the cutest doc ages ago for these but i wanted somewhere to look outside of the pdf i keep fucking losing like an idiot. these are just my own thoughts about the characters. i reserve the privilege of seeing devi’s thoughts, you all just have to settle for mine :P Kim Dokja "Kind of sounds like an overly smug audio recording of like, council meeting minutes. Bland yet mildly infuriating, just like him" is still the best description for KDJ I've got. A slightly drawling, even toned voice. Almost like he's bored, but in a smug amused sort of way. Actually can't hide his emotions in his voice as well as he thinks. He stands very still when he talks, and maintains…. Not eye contact? But picks a spot to look at and Stays There. It's kinda creepy. KDJ is King of the Commercial Jingle. He has a mysterious database of commercial jingles he can sing with unerring accuracy There was a period of time that KDJ was almost completely nonverbal, out of trauma, yes, but also because he didn't care to speak to anyone, really. Learned KSL just for the sake of it, ends up being useful when he wants to communicate silently with his party (the ones that don't have a direct channel to his brain that is) Yoo Joonghyuk He visibly takes time to compose his sentences when he talks, like you can actually see his jaw working as he sounds out what he's going to say before he says it. When he's shocked into sudden speech, his comprehensibility takes a nosedive, lots of broken sentences. Projects like a Stage Actor. YJH has a nice voice but no sense of melody or tone (and god themselves reached down and told me i’m absolutely correct hell yeah). Because I am indulgent as fuck, I say he naturally has a mild, sing-song rhythm to his voice that he has deliberately trained out. It comes back when he's drunk (and I mean, fucking Smashed) Mega Ultra Indulgent Time: I HC YJH as selectively mute during the events of WoS/ORV. He knows KSL (he got LHS to teach him in one of the regressions as a "practical decision") Midday Tryst helps… somewhat. I also think KDJ knows KSL (for similar reasons as both YJH and LHS) but YJH doesn't know that until way way later 😔 Yoo Sangah So YSA.... Always sounds a little strained, always sounds a little tired, I feel. She has a soft but surprisingly low toned voice, and has an excellent snapping tone when she gets mad, like, military sergeant level crack to her voice. A good librarian voice, haha! YSA is tremendously shy about singing, never really goes above a hum (SS apparently said she used to be part of a children's choir??? Absolutely Kills The Me) Back when she worked at MinoSoft she spoke from her "head" a lot more (women in business 😔); not drastically so, but there was a definite drop in her pitch during the events of ORV, because the Apocalypse says Women's Rights! Han Sooyoung Okay, HSY has the highest pitched voice of the girls, it's actually kinda.... Cute?!? Too bad she's rude as hell lmao. Some creep in her uni asked her to record an idol greeting for him and she nearly clawed his eyes out. Draws her words out when she's mad. Incidentally, she actually has better English pronunciation than YSA does, a fact she is inordinately proud of. Han Sooyoung True Idol Voice, can sing the cutest songs and patently will not do that for you, god, or the devil. Her laughter is the Embodiment of "kukukuku" God, this is so long. More under the cut.
Shin Yoosung Uhhh ok sys.... Sys is Babby and has Babby voice. Kids are kinda... They're still growing! Older SYS has Danger Contralto. Language wise, she takes great pains to use Grown Up Speech except when lgy makes her mad then it's just "stooOOOOooop you annoying little creep why don't you go kiss some ants you bug loving weirdo!!!!!!" LGY and SYS know some Truly Annoying Songs by heart, and they make up their own verses. They're so cute but sometimes the party kinda wants to punt them into space. As for Biyoo, she! is! A! Goat! The cutest goat you ever heard. Baby goat. She sounds shockingly similar to the voice and register Kim Dokja had as a child, but full of a subtle but strange vibrato. Even when she’s speaking proper Korean, she still tends to stretch out her `ah` sounds akjsfaklsdjfaklsjkj Jung Heewon JHW, I'm just laying this down now, has a smoker's rasp. It's not that severe, really, just a bit of hoarseness even though it's been years since she last smoked. Has a barking laugh. Mostly relaxed pace and pitch but when she's hyped you can literally hear the exclamation marks pinging off her voice. Also completely unfounded thought, has absolutely Fantastic diction when drunk. Everyone is just "she doesn't sound drunk" and then she falls off a bridge and it's just "oh no". JHW has a pretty nice singing voice, nice and low. Untrained and all, but she's pleasant to listen to. Lee Hyunsung LHS....... has a Surprisingly urbane voice. It's smooth and slow when he's calm which...... Isn't often, haha! He tends to stutter and dwindle off into nothing when he's stressed. But when he's calm he really has a mellow and pleasant voice. Tends to chuckle in between words often. Makes a lot of aborted hand movements when he speaks; he's naturally very mobile but his trainers in the army made him stop (excessive movement is frowned upon, especially when communicating in the field) so he makes these awkward little jerks of his arms. True freedom is getting to gesticulate as he pleases. LHS can sing classic popular Korean songs, like 60s-80s very very well. He's probably one of the best singers in the company. You would want to sit down and listen to LHS sing. Lee Seolhwa LSH has Doctor's Tempo. Very sharp, kinda average Female Voice Pitch, not actually a pleasant voice! But very penetrating and hard to ignore. She Cannot Sing. Absolutely tone-deaf. Bane of her ER team's karaoke nights. She knows Chinese. I have no basis for this, she just Does, and it affects the speed at which she speaks. Lee Gilyoung Hmmm.....LGY....... I know he is also Babby but! I do think he has a high pitched laugh he is embarrassed to death of. Makes it up by deliberately pitching his voice low which is hilarious until he finally experiences puberty, poor bug boy. Wants To Swear So Bad. Manages to say "damn" in front of Kim Dokja once and feels like a king. Lee Jihye Uh ok so she's...... The most stereotypical teen girl out there really. Fast pace, lots of up and down to her tone. Kinda had a whine to her voice which has gone away as she grew older. Her deep secret.......... Sometimes she mimics her grandma's speech patterns who was A Real Country Hick. She loved her grandma very much and spent a lot of time with her as a child but the downside..... Sometimes she talks like Old Lady. LJH loved singing along to musicals with her friend. She doesn’t like singing anymore. Jang Hayoung JHY........ Is a strange kind of shy. Eats her own words a lot, but if she's excited she will not shut the fuck up. A little breathy. When she gets more confident in herself, she speaks quickly and precisely, almost like a radio newscaster. Can practically hear the smirk in her voice when she's laughing at you. Apparently, Sing Shong said JHY gets Way Too Into It when she’s singing along to her favorite indie bands. She’s perfection. Kim Namwoon KNW is a Cultivated Thug. Lots of drawn out "ahh?"s and low growls being thrown around, but when he's talking about something he likes (gundams, LJH) he speeds up incredibly, and jumps from one sentence to another. KNW knows every single gundam anime opening made. He's the weeb of the household and he knows it. This is what brings ABFD and him together. They bond over this. His laughter almost sounds like he’s actually saying “ahahaha” Lee Sookyung LSK is dryness incarnate. Has a serious, quiet voice, but also always sounds like she's laughing at you somehow. Very typically feminine speech pattern. Much nicer to listen to than KDJ. Lee Sookyung has a quiet, gentle singing voice. Nothing impressive, just what most parents do for their kids. She's never really enjoyed singing beyond what she sang to KDJ when he was very little. KDJ doesn't remember how she sounded, of course, but he does remember the slight sing-song rhythm of her voice when she read aloud to him, and figures it's close enough. Bihyung Confirmed Old Man Syndrome. Grunts and sighs a lot, but like, his sighs sound like a goat bleating. Always in a hurry to finish his sentences, but takes long gaps in between. Post biggering bihyung is the same but two octaves down in pitch. Uriel Uriel has Ojou-sama voice. Very posh and high, which is double funny when she's cursing left and right. Great diction, shit vocabulary. The despair of Metatron. Mass Production Maker MPM Always Talks Like A 1980s High Powered Business Man. He's A Man's Man. Gruff jovial tone, kinda goofy laugh. Not actually that deep in tone, surprisingly enough. Sun Wukong Sun Wukong's is [monkey screech] the end. I dunno, he has a weird chittering laugh. Actually has a very cool wuxia hero voice, but he is also a monkey. Yodels like a champion. SWK is Jiang Wen, but with a freaky laugh, basically. SWK: [delivers an epic, profound line of dialogue because he is the cool and reliable big brother for all of us] Also SWK: [hooting and hollering at the top of his lungs at his fleeing enemies because he is a monkey] (post JJTW arc) I can’t fucking believe sing shong demonkeyed my Sun Wukong, absolutely heinous. Anyway, Biwamen is an absolute fucking hick in terms of accent, but very sophisticated in his posture. Meihouwang is the Monkey-est Sun Wukong, has the absolute most terrifying laugh, and JCDS has the Wuxia Hero Voice. Also has fucked up monkey laugh, but not as screeching as Meihouwang’s. Who knows about Douzhanshengfu, man. He’s the most human one of them all. Abyssal Black Flame Dragon ABFD is every thirteen year old you've wanted to fistfight. Laughs like "nyahahaha". Lovely boy soprano singing voice but he keeps singing screamo covers of intergalactic Gundam anime ops. Slight lisp thanks to his dumb sticky out canines. Secretive Plotter SP is like YJH with this constant awful brittleness to his voice, like he screamed for too long and couldn't get his voice back. Weird mild flanging to his tone too, like you're hearing from down a long corridor. Namgung Minyoung NGMY is Big and Tall and has a voice that fills a large room. Old fashioned vocabulary (like, Old Old fashioned). Laughs from her belly, but has a rather shrill scream. She doesn't scream often. Slurs her words a lot. Unlike her shithead disciple, she has a great singing voice. She tried teaching her the songs she learned as a child on a whim once and almost puked laughing over how bad he was at following her melody, or like. Anything. God, YJH sucks at singing. Kyrgios Kyrgios is [mosquito buzzing]. Kyrgios..... Is usually extremely solemn. Grave, measured speech. Very wise old mentor. When he's mad he is a screeching little bastard. Will pierce your eardrums. I like to think he has this little snorting laugh that almost whistles through his nose. Yoo Mia Cutesy, but also Blunt As Fuck. No prisoners when baby's in town. Kinda has a really mean laugh! But it's ok she's so cute about it you'll forgive her even when she's calling you a dumb piece of rotten shit. She has the sing-song rhythm to her voice that YJH trained himself not to have. Anna Croft Obligatory villain(ish?) thoughts: She sounds like a Disney tween star. She is Cultivated. Early Story Anna talked like she knew cameras were watching her at all times (which they kinda were, so). She had a bright, engaging voice and was very proper and precise with her words. She could give smiles on command, she was that damn peppy. Her real voice, what she has now after Everything, is a lot more. Uh. Has more vocal fry? A Whole Lot Less energetic. Swears a lot more too. She is real fucking tired, constantly sounds like something in her voice is hollowed out. Long, long pauses between sentences.

Novel Review: Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint by Sing-Shong
[06.10.20]
TITLE: Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint
AUTHOR: Sing-Shong
GENRE: Action, Adventure, Drama, Fantasy, Mature, Mystery, Psychological, Supernatural
TYPE: Web Novel (KR)
STATUS: Completed
SYNOPSIS:
Only I know the end of this world.
One day our MC finds himself stuck in the world of his favorite webnovel. What does he do to survive? It is a world struck by catastrophe and danger all around.
His edge? He knows the plot of the story to end. Because he was the sole reader that stuck with it. Read his story to see how he survives!
MY REVIEW:
This is the story of an Ugly Squid and a Sunfish Bastard and their journey... a story about sacrifice and maybe a way to answer to this question: Who in the world would throw their life away because a character of a story is about to die?
Our dear MC is an average guy that lived an average life. No relationships and no friends. All he had was his favorite web novel "Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World" with over 3 000+ chapters written by tls123. One day, our MC found himself in a situation very similar to his favorite web novel, and that is when the world ended and the MC's epic journey as a prophet began! While clearing each new scenario (that was based on his favorite web novel) the MC is gathering talents left and right but also a lot of enemies. The original MC of his favorite web novel became his hubby... I mean became his companion and partner in crime in destroying all who stands in their path to find the end! With each new adventure and massacre, our MC and ex-MC form a bond closer than no other! (bromance) This is what I call true lov... I mean this is what I call comrades, rivals-to-friends or life and death companions. Well... to tell you the truth I really ship Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk and I really don't care if someone disagree with me.
Many emotions emerged while reading it. To sympathize, to grieve, to celebrate, to get angry, to get happy and to despair. And eventually, wishing to become part of the story. This novel was thrilling and has such a great story and plot and presents a lot of interesting concepts such as time paradox and probability. Also the main characters have deep and complex personalities and powerful background stories.
MAJOR CHARACTERS:
Kim Dokja:
(Dokja= can mean only son or reader)

ORV Liveblog 23 - Abandoned World (II)
Tumblr media
Late...30's?!!!!!! KDJ is 28 this must be a mistranslation
Tumblr media
His mother's already been released from prison for a while, then. Who was this person she was meeting?
Tumblr media
oh kim dokja.....
Tumblr media
oh kim dokja.........
Tumblr media
TSP wanted to know about KDJ's mother when he had the memory recall as a ghost species too, but here I think they're reacting specifically to "that novel was all I had". (again, because i think they're the author)
Kdj's mom is the strongest reminder of the past "reality", and therefore interferes with the Fourth Wall the most strongly. Any sort of trauma can resurface it for him, but hers is the worst. Connections with the original reality hurt Kim Dokja...connections with the original reality break his immersion. We see the word "immersed" used a lot and I don't remember the contexts it is used in exactly, BUT an interesting thing to note is that it was used to describe TSP in the meeting with Persephone (though that can just be translation shenanigans so I'm not putting a heavy weight on that piece of info - also, 4W is a skill exclusive to him).
I don't really have anything conclusive to say, but "immersion" as a phenomena is interesting. My mind jumps to VR.
Tumblr media
KDJ's views on life-taking are not this puritanical. Even for his mother to defend herself and her child against an abuser...there must be something else he's not telling us.
At this point, it already wasn’t a normal conversation between mother and son. This was why I didn’t want to talk to her. I knew what would happen when we talked. We knew too much about how to hurt each other.
I am going to go lie on the floor
There was an awkward silence before I spoke again. “Do you know the book called the Underground Killer? It was previously on the Kyobo bestsellers list.”
Talk about a book emerged all of a sudden. Yoo Sangah thought the previous topic was closed and replied awkwardly, “I think I’ve heard of it. Wasn’t it an amazing bestseller?”
“It was an essay written by an abused woman in prison after she killed her husband. It was praised by critics at the time. They said that a Korean version of Notes from Underground had come out. Of course, it was completely overrated.”
Yoo Sangah’s face suddenly darkened. She had noticed. I hadn’t changed the topic at all.
“That’s right. My mother wrote it.”
This...explains so much.
Tumblr media
having his own life and trauma put up as a spectacle for others to see...no wonder he considered a story that only he could read so precious to him. oh kim dokja......
but does he not consider that maybe putting it down on paper was cathartic for his mother as well? there's the consuming of a story as catharsis, yes, but it isn't just borne out of nowhere. somebody labored to write that all down, and that can be healing within itself as well. though from what little I've seen, his mother doesn't seem to really care, and is a cold enough person that sharing her story was just opportunistic. though that could be a trauma response within itself too. you get trauma and you get trauma and you get trauma
anyway, moving back to the present - to have had spectators cheering him on and showering him with currency for this past month while people are being slaughtered around him? holy shit. i cannot imagine the rage and violation that kdj is feeling right now.
Tumblr media
on twitter we call this "trauma dumping".
Tumblr media
not gonna get emotional over this. not gonna get emotional over this not gonnaaaaaWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I am so glad that we have YSA here. Because everyone has good hearts. but they are also so cagey and guarded and and angry and quick to retaliate but ysa is so kind. and she lets herself be vulnerable and it makes me cry T_T (in a good way!) she hasn't lost that vulnerability yet and I truly hope she never does. I'm so happy that kdj has her around!! not for moral reasons - like I said he already has a good heart - but just to establish some kind of sense of normalcy? an affirmation that it's okay to scream and cry and feel sorry for yourself and find it all unfair. tl;dr i need ysa to host a group crying session. please. y'all are gonna start biting other people if you don't get that out. see kdj this is why you're saying insane shit all the time 😒 you're invested in repression and a god complex when you should be investing in collapsing in your friends' arms and letting it all out 🙄🤧
And I'm really glad that YSA has KDJ here!! not just because she may not have been able to live without him, but because she's mmmmfjdueushsh. wjdhhsheehhshsfjshshs YSA...😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 it helps that she's around someone who always has a plan/solution. everyone's suffering but this is such a shell shock for her and the kids (Jihye included) the most. When she cried by the fire...*makes grabby hands at her* give her to me. give her to me let me give her a hug 😭😭😭😭😭
God!!!! Everyone is so repressed!!!!!!!!!! *Points to KDJ and HSY* ESPECIALLY ESPECIALLY YOU TWO. YJH IS JUST AS BAD BUT I FEEL LIKE HE AT LEAST HAS SOME DEGREE OF SELF AWARENESS ABOUT IT. You two are like 👩🏻‍🦯🧑🏻‍🦯
One more thing I want to talk about. The parallel ways that KDJ compares himself to YJH (the "character") and YSA (the "person") are so interesting to me. "I can't do this, I'm not the protagonist...I'm not a protagonist...I'm not Yoo Jonghyuk". vs. "Yoo Sangah is a real life protagonist. She always knows just what to do. The world seems to turn towards her..." etc. etc. Kim Dokja is constantly telling himself that "I can't do that, I can't be that" when he is already doing that, and more. He's this story's savior.

in those long days until we’re together
yoo sangah loves all the time she spends with jung heewon. but the time they spend together is to little; such is the way of long distance relationships.
for ORV RARE PAIR WEEK 2021 @orv-week; day three, prompt: long distance relationship.
also on ao3.
. . . Call soon?  the text reads when Yoo Sangah opens it. She immediately sends back a smiling panda sticker and hurries through the rest of her work so she can leave on time, if not a little early. They’ve both been busy recently, which means they haven’t had much time to talk, but Jung Heewon had set a day where they’re both free in the evenings to call and catch up. Yoo Sangah is grateful; often she worries about being too needy or clingy, holding herself back from asking for more no matter how often Jung Heewon assures her that it’s fine. She’s missed talking to her girlfriend recently, but didn’t want to demand all of her time and attention, so she kept quiet until Jung Heewon firmly set a time when they can ignore the rest of the world and just focus on each other.
There are three hours left before she can go home. She feels each minute passing by agonizingly slow. Her focus is shot, barely able to concentrate on all the files she has on hand that have to go out by the end of the week. She’s only half done, and while she’s sure if she focused and got to it she’s finish faster, Yoo Sangah is filled with restless energy that makes her walk away from her desk.
The break room is usually empty at this time. It’s just after the time most people finish their lunch and return to their work, so Yoo Sangah looks forward to making herself some tea and letting her mind wander without the pressures of deadlines stress her out.
She gets as far as pulling out a cup before she realizes she’s not alone. Kim Dokja sits in the back of the break room, in a corner people ignore because it’s out of sight from the door. He’s on his phone again, not moving and silent. Yoo Sangah can’t help but jump a little when she finds him, from the shock of seeing someone in the corner of her eye in a room she though was empty . Slowly, she lets out a breath and tries not to look to frazzled.
“Dokja-ssi,” she calls out, making him look up, “Did you want anything to drink?”
“No thank you,” he says as quietly as always. Had it been anyone else, she would have thought he was trying to end the conversation as quickly as possible. In fact, he sounds exactly as he does when he tries to end a conversation, but he’s not looking away which is the only sign that he doesn’t mind talking a little while longer.
Kim Dokja is really her only friend at Minosoft, where all the other men hit on her relentlessly and the other women keep her at arms length for one reason or another. He doesn’t hit on her, leer at her, or act rudely. He just keeps to himself and helpfully hands her salt when she’s upset so she can ruin people’s coffees. Yoo Sangah is glad to have at least one co-worker she’s on good terms and doesn’t actively dislike.
“Did something happen?” he asks, lowering his phone some more. It always feels like a victory when she manages to pull him away from that phone screen. “You look a little… flushed, I suppose. Distracted.”
Yoo Sangah can’t help but smile. “Oh, I’m video calling my girlfriend tonight. It’s been a while since we were able to talk.”
Here’s another thing about Kim Dokja: he’s not just her only friend at Minosoft, but also the only person who knows she’s 1) not straight and 2) in a relationship. She hadn’t even meant to tell him about Jung Heewon, but he was there and no one else was and she was happy that Jung Heewon wanted to be in a relationship with her, even if it was long distance. All Kim Dokja do was ask if she had a good night, and Yoo Sangah immediately told him about the lovely, strong woman who turned her attempt to socialize into a date, ditching the rest of her college friends, and about the second date she had on the weekend.
Kim Dokja, to his credit, didn’t even blink. Just congratulated her on her new relationship and made no mention of the fact that she was with another woman. Yoo Sangah grew fiercely protective of him that day, as had Jung Heewon, the first time she called while Yoo Sangah was still at work and got to talk to him for a few minutes.
“I see,” he says. “If you’d like me to take on some of your work so you can go home sooner…”
“Oh, no! I couldn’t ask that of you! But thank you for offering anyways. Are you sure you don’t want anything to drink?”
He shakes his head. “I’m alright. I’m on break for another ten minutes, and I’d like to finish reading this, so…”
Yoo Sangah nods at his polite attempt finish the conversation and focus on his phone again, and tries to make tea quietly as to not bother him. She lets herself smile freely as she waits for the tea to cool, then says goodbye to Kim Dokja, who awkwardly waves a hand at her. No one tries to stop her for a chat as she makes her way back to her desk, which is incredibly rare and incredibly lucky. It wasn’t a bad day before getting Jung Heewon’s text, but it certainly got better after it.
Somehow, she manages to finish the last few hours of work, only occasionally glancing at her phone, before she puts all her files away and gets ready to go home. As she’s walking to the elevator to leave, Yoo Sangah sees a couple of people from the corner of her eye perk up when they catch sight of her and start heading over. Please go away, she thinks and stares very hard at the elevator doors, trying to convey that she’s leaving and doesn’t want to talk. It doesn’t work.
Just as they reach her and one of them opens his mouth, Kim Dokja appears, sliding in front of them with ease. With how he’s looking at his phone again, it could be passed off as unintentional, just him not paying attention to his surroundings, but the way he carefully glances at her tells her that this was no accident.
People don’t really seem to like Kim Dokja, which Yoo Sangah finds strange. He’s just a little reclusive and awkward, but their coworkers either harass him or avoid him with all their might.
These two men become visibly uncomfortable and shift away from Kim Dokja. They look at her, then at Kim Dokja, then walk past them. As soon as they’re out of earshot, Yoo Sangah sighs and says, “Thank you, Dokja-ssi.”
He gives her a small smile. “It would be a shame to get stuck here when you have better things to do.”
The elevator finally arrives on their floor and the doors slide open. It’s empty, thankfully, and they both get in. Kim Dokja leans against the back wall, frowning as he reads… whatever it is he reads. Yoo Sangah decides it wouldn’t be rude to be on her phone, not talking, if it’s Kim Dokja she’s with. She opens up her chat with Jung Heewon and sends another text: I’ll be home soon! Let me know when you’re ready <3
Once on the ground floor, Yoo Sangah says goodbye to Kim Dokja as he heads towards the subway and she goes around the building to get her bike. The sun has set by the time she makes it to her apartment, but the sky is still light, all purple and pink. She takes a moment to admire it before she unlocks her door and kicks off her shoes.
The stress of the day falls off her shoulders and she takes a moment to stretch before going to her bedroom to change into more comfortable clothes.
She grabs her charger from her room and plugs it in the kitchen just to make sure her phone doesn’t die in the middle of the call. It’s been so long, Yoo Sangah isn’t going to risk anything cutting their time together short.
Her phone chirps with a notification and Yoo Sangah all but throws herself across the kitchen to open it.
Five more minutes?asks Jung Heewon, and Yoo Sangah quickly sends a nodding kitten sticker back. She rushes through grabbing ingredients and setting up her cutting board and frying pan in order to make fried rice, and keeps checking her phone to make sure she doesn’t accidentally miss Jung Heewon’s call.
Calling now!! comes another text that Yoo Sangah barely sees before her phone is ringing. She grabs it and accepts the video call, heart thundering in her chest as both their cameras begin to adjust to the lighting in their respective apartments.
“There you are sweetheart,” Jung Heewon says, smiling, “I’ve missed you so much.”
Yoo Sangah can’t help the shy smile that spreads across her face, cheeks flushing. “I can’t wait to see you in person again. Two more weeks, right?”
“Mhm. Two more weeks and you’ll get to have me all to yourself for four days.”
Yoo Sangah has been eagerly counting down the days for Jung Heewon’s next visit to Seoul, planning out dates and meals to cook together. The loneliness that cripples her the first few days after her girlfriend leaves is terrible, a feature of long distance relationships, but getting to be with Jung Heewon in any way she can is more than worth it.
She sets her phone propped up against a tall glass. “I’m going to make some dinner, so tell me about your week while I cut some vegetables.”
Jung Heewon shifts, getting more comfortable on her couch, and begins to talk about her job, her coworkers, the stray cats in the neighborhood that she’s been feeding; Yoo Sangah lets the soothing cadence of her voice wash over her as she cooks, listening attentively and trying to commit everything to memory so she can feel like she’s a part of Jung Heewon’s day.
They talk through her cooking, her eating, keep the call going even when both leave to take a shower and get ready for bed. It’s so nice to talk to Jung Heewon again, but it makes the empty space on her bed all the more obvious.
“I can’t wait to have you with me again,” Yoo Sangah mumbles, sleepy now that she’s in bed. She’s having trouble keeping her eyes open, and while she knows she should go to sleep since she has work tomorrow, she wants this call to keep going for as long as possible. She’s not ready to say goodbye. She’s never ready to say goodbye.
Jung Heewon rubs her eyes tiredly. “You look tired sweetheart,” she says, her voice low. The sound of it sends pleasant shivers down her spine, and Yoo Sangah can only manage a vague hum in reply. “Go to sleep. I’ll stay on the call until you sleep.”
“I don’t want to end it,” she says, stubbornly keeping her eyes open.
“I’ll call you again in the morning. I promise. Okay?”
That’s the smart thing to do, Yoo Sangah knows, and if she wakes up a little earlier than usual she can see Jung Heewon longer. Still, she doesn’t want to go to sleep and stop hearing Jung Heewon’s voice. She wants time to stop and let her have this moment to herself forever, without worrying about tomorrow or counting down the days until Jung Heewon arrives for just a few days. Their relationship is filled with longing and waiting, always separated and never able to stay together as long as they want. But there is no one she wants as much as Jung Heewon. She’ll do anything to stay with her.
“Okay,” Yoo Sangah says, “Goodnight. Two weeks?”
“Two weeks,” Jung Heewon promises. “I’ll be with you before you know it.” I hope so , she thinks, and closes her tired eyes, letting the sounds of Jung Heewon moving and preparing for the next day lull her to sleep. It’s almost like she’s there with Yoo Sangah.
Almost.
It’s enough for now.

Timely Fate3
Starting the Paid Service(2)
[ Dokkaebi. The first time he appeared, someone said so. ]
"Dokkaebi," I whispered, the sentence running through my mind as I squeezed Gilyoung's hand. At this moment the door for cart 3807 opened wide and the electricity finally returned.
Kim Dokja had moved in front of Yoo Sangah, putting him right beside me. I could see his pale face and cold sweat forming, his hands trembling a bit as they clenched around his phone.
As for me, a sense of thrill passed through my body as I quickly recalled the contents of both web novels. To be honest, I had always thought that I would be more afraid than excited when the end of the world came, it was for this reason that I went everywhere with concealable weapons and practiced boxing and martial arts, but the sense of thrill that traveled down my spine surprised even me. I quickly covered my face once more, hiding the smile that had started to form.
Gilyoung tugged at my hand and pointed at his face. My lips formed a fond smile as I rummaged through my bookbag and pulled out a palm-sized duffel bag and took out a black mask, handing it to the little boy. He grinned at me before putting it on, both our faces going back to neutral. I let go of Gilyoung's hand in favor of putting my hair up in a high ponytail with a red scrunchie before holding onto Gilyoung's hand once more.
I wasn't afraid at all.
[ With two small horns and wearing a small straw mat, the strange and fluffy creature was floating in the air.]
[ It was too strange to call it a fairy, too evil to call it an angel, and too tranquil to call it a demon.]
[ Thus, it was called a 'dokkaebi'. ]
I already knew what the first thing it would say was.
[*^$^&%$#^*^%]
[*^$^&%$#^*^%]
Fiction and Reality overlapped precisely.
Dokja stiffened beside me, he obviously recognized the 'words' it had just spoken. Just then, a few people started questioning things. Others started complaining.
"What is this?"
"Is this augmented reality?"
Ignoring the questions and complaints, I looked straight at the Dokkaebi. This was the very dokkaebi that had opened the door to death and tragedy for thousands and thousands of lives in 'Ways of Survival.'
Yoo Sangah's voice broke me out of my thoughts. "It sounds vaguely like Spanish. Should I try speaking with it?"
I looked towards her, shaking my head before Dokja could answer. "Eso no es Español." I looked straight at her as I said this. I turned my head back before she could respond.
The little thing cleared its throat, clear Korean and perfect pronunciation finally escaping its lips. [ Ah. Ah. Does this sound good? Ah, I had a hard time because the Korean patch wasn't working. Everyone, can you hear my words?]
The expressions on people's faces started relaxing as a familiar language was spoken. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Just because a familiar language was spoken doesn't mean you should quit being vigilant. The motherfucker was fucking floating in the air looking like it was ready to play bowling ball with us as the pins.
The first one to step out was a big man in a suit. I looked at him thinking, 'You're it.'
"Hey. What are you doing right now?" He asked, his face looking a little angry.
[...Huh?]
"Are you filming? I have to go because I have an audition I need to get to." I quietly snorted, thinking of the monsters that must be roaming the outside world right now.
[Ah, the auditions. That's right, this is also an audition. Haha, there was a shortage of data. You see, I just entered when it was monetized at 7 p.m. ]
I chuckled, finding the situation to be humorless but laughing anyway.
"What? What are you talking about?" The man continued, confused.
[Now, now. All of you, relax in your seats and listen to me. From now on, there is something very important that I must tell you!]
People started panicking.
"What? Quickly get off the train!"
"Someone call the captain!"
"What are they doing without the cooperation of the citizens?!"
"Mommy, what is that? A cartoon?"
I grinned, looking down at Gilyoung and ruffling his hair. He looked up at me, confused but enjoying the treatment. I pinched his cheeks through the mask, he scrunched his nose but allowed me to continue.
"Yoo Sangah-ssi, it's dangerous, so stay here," Dokja told her.
"Huh?" Yoo Sangha's eyes widened, confusion flowing through them.
[Haha, you're really loud.] The dokkaebi suddenly spoke. Dokja trembled at its voice, this was a presence with a stronger persuasive power than anyone else right now.
[I thought I told you to be quiet.]
Dokja closed his eyes as the Dokkaebi's eyes turned red. I continued looking at it in an almost psychotic form of fascination. Something burst- loud, and the subway became quiet.
There was a big hole in the forehead of the actor who had to go to his audition. "Uh, uh, Uh...." He repeated almost stupidly before he collapsed on the spot.
[This isn't a movie shoot.]
Another loud cracking sound. It was the person who kept talking about the captain.
[It isn't a dream. It isn't a novel either.]
I lifted Gilyoung up onto my hip as he buried his face into my chest, trembling slightly. I felt pity for the boy so I took off the black noise-canceling headphones that had been lying around my neck and put them over his ears. He looked up in confusion and I smiled at him.
He nodded before burying his face in my chest again.
One, two, three...blood sprayed everywhere into the air as the heads of some people burst. Every one of them had protested against the dokkaebi, others had screamed or went wild. Every one of those who had caused a fuss, starting from the moment the dokkaebi had appeared, had a hole in their heads.
Suddenly, the subway became a blood bath. From the ceiling to the walls, chairs, and the floor- everything was stained red.
[This isn't the 'reality that you know anymore, understand? So everyone shut up and listen to me.]
In a matter of seconds, more than half of the people in the subway had died. I looked around and realized that Lee Gilyoung's mom had been one of them. Blood and pieces of flesh filled the subway. Now there wasn't anymore screaming.
Like small predators standing in front of a starving predator, everyone watched the dokkaebi's every action in terror. From behind me, Yoo Sangah hiccupped.
Even I felt a little nauseated as I smelled the stench of blood and saw the pieces of flesh floating in puddles of blood. I took out a mint and gave it to Gilyoung who accepted it without question.
[Everyone, your lives...haven't they been nice so far?]
There was no one who answered, I waited for the one who would.
"D-do you want money?" Someone said, raising their hand carefully. I stared at him.
"I-Isn't that Department Head Han of the Finance Team?" Dokja muttered out.
"Y-yeah.." Yoo Sangah-ssi answered, trailing off.
"I will give you money," The department head stated. "Take it. Please note that I am a person who had a lot of money," He pulled out his business card as the others cheered him on. I rolled my eyes.
"How much do you want? One mill? Two?" He was spitting out money that was too much for a department head of a subsidiary company to make.
[Hmmm, you're giving me money?]
"Y-yes! Right now I don't have much money but if you let me out I can give you the rest!"
[Money, hmm. Good. A plant fiber that all humans agree on.]
The department head's expression brightened. 'Indeed, money can solve anything.' It seemed to stay.
Oh, how pitiful.
"This is all I have for right now-"
[It only applies in your space and time.]
"H-huh?"
At that moment, flames appeared and every single cheque in the department head's hands burst into flames, landing into a pitiful pile of ashes at his feet. He let out a scream.
[That thing has absolutely no value in the macrocosm world. Do this again and I'm blowing off your head.]
Once again, fear spread through the hearts of the others like wildfire.
[What the hell will happen now?]
There were only two people that knew how the future would be,
Kim Dokja and I.
[Phew, the debt is piling up during the time that you guys were noisy. Well...yes. Rather than explain it a hundred times, isn't it more convenient for you to make money yourself?]
Its horns rose like antennas and its body floated towards the ceiling. A moment later, a message rang out.
[#BI-7623 Channel is open]
[The constellations have entered.]
A small window emerged in front of everyone's eyes.
[The main scenario has arrived!]
||
[ Main Scenario #1- Proof of Value]

The dokkaebi smiled faintly as it started disappearing into the next space.
[Then, good luck everyone. Please show me an interesting story.]

MASTERLIST (and review) MAY 2021
This Must Count For Something -
Fandom: Omniscient Reader
Pairing: Kim Dokja/Yoo Joonghyuk
Summary: Dokja deals with the Mortification of Feelings, while Joonghyuk as per usual is no help at all.
Notes: This one is still such a big surprise. I honestly didn’t think it was gonna become this big, haha. Like it’s the first time I ever reached 3K. And am so so so proud of it. Their dynamic was so much fun to write for. Writing Kdj’s pov especially. The ending a bit weak, but I do love this one a lot. And the most amazing thing of it: I wrote it in a day! And then edited it and posted it the next day which is...wh. what.
Everytime I look at this, It makes me feel like I can do anything now. Because I was uncertain about being able to write sm well or at all, but then I wrote it and IN FIRST PERSON. So yeah. I realise that all of that must’ve been like me thinking too hard about things. Just need to write, and go with the flow. Like this one, and just not hesitate with writing.
Heaven -
Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing: Sam Winchester/Castiel
Summary: The first time Castiel sees Sam really laugh, it takes him by surprise.
They are sitting in a hotel bed, talking, when it blooms out like a roar, Sam’s body comes to life and glows. It’s—gorgeous. Castiel is enchanted. Human’s describe Heaven as Light and Divinity, full of peace and enlightenment. It sounds nothing like the home that Castiel was familiar with. If that is what Heaven is, though, Castiel thinks, then—this is where Heaven must be. What Heaven must be.
Sam.
Notes: This was a longgg time wip I had which I love v dearly and wanted to finish so much times, but didn’t manage too. But then, I got a comment on of my sastiel fics which was so sweet??? and so??? kind so. lol i got sudden surge  motivation and managed to finish this!! It’s incredible. I love it a lot. It’s also amazing to see how my style here is different. I wanna write something similar to this again.
I really went crazy with the descriptions and absolutely love it. It was so fun!

Pairing: Yoo Joonghyuk/Yoo Sangah
Summary: Sangah hears the words she’s been dreading from Yoo Joonghyuk’s mouth, come.
“I love you.” He says. Delivering it like he does with everything else, pouring all his heart into the words.
How could she refuse it now, when it’s blatantly in front of her?
Notes: This was fun to write for! Don’t think I will be ever writing for this two separately though, I prefer much them in a poly. Oh boyy it was intense with finishing writing for it, I think there are parts that I kinda rushed so like stuff I might’ve included didn’t make the cut. But! Overall, and how I ended it, was nice! I loveeee it. The ending was a completely surprise and i super love how it came out. I think it fits v nicely with the whole theme.

Fandom: Omniscient Reader
Pairing: Yoo Sangah/Jung Heewon
Summary: There’s a hand snaking around her waist. Jung Heewon leans back against the weight, dizzy, so grateful for it that she doesn’t even question who it is.
Notes: This was so much funn to write for! Gosh, really love these two. I actually love everything about it?? Don’t think there’s any part that I’m unhappy about! My only lament is that it wasn’t longer, lol. And I guess, how the transition from the beginning to Heewon in the hospital is a bit bumpy. Everything else, though? Good! 🥰

This is a snippet of a silly and fluffy touch-starved Kdj fic I wrote while on a car ride then forgot about and then found again. Idk if I’ll continue it but the premise is basically “the party piles heaps of affection onto a increasingly flustered Kim Dokja because they love him”
Some notes:
-this takes place in an au, either non-scenario au or post-scenario au where everyone lives regular lives again (sys and lgy attend school, ysa and Kdj still work together)
-Lee Gilyoung names everything Titano
—————
It starts with Shin Yoosung.
At 9:00 she posts to the “Oppress Kim Dokja” chat (made without his knowledge, of course):
[Shin Yoosung]: I think I made Ahjussi cry
[Shin Yoosung]: It was an accident
[Lee Gilyoung]: WHAT!!!
[Lee Gilyoung]: SHIN YOOSUNG!!!
[Lee Gilyoung]: HOW DARE YOU!!!!!
[Lee Gilyoung]: MEET ME OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW
[Yoo Sangah]: Gilyoung-ah, Yoosung-ah, aren’t you both in class right now? Stop texting.
[Han Sooyoung]: Wait no let them talk I wanna know how to make Kim Dokja cry
[Yoo Sangah]: ....
[Jung Heewon]: ....I’m muting the chat. It’s too early for this, don’t you guys think?
[Shin Yoosung]: Gilyoung’s so stupid. Why are you yelling at me? I said it was on accident, didn’t I?
[Lee Gilyoung]: Anyone who makes Hyung cry is the enemy >:(
[Lee Hyunsung]: Dokja-ssi really cried?
[Jung Heewon]: Not you too, Hyunsung-ssi
[Han Sooyoung]: weren’t you muting the chat? Let Shin Yoosung finish
[Shin Yoosung]: I don’t know if I want to now...aren’t you too eager?
[Han Sooyoung]: Ehhh, Kim Dokja is usually so blasé, isn’t it natural to be curious about what you could have possibly done to make that guy cry?
[Yoo Sangah]: I must admit I am also a little curious. Dokja-ssi didn’t even cry when Yoo Jonghyuk ignored him for a month cause he was jealous of Jang Hayoung.
[Jang Hayoung]: Hey!! It’s not my fault if I confess first. Besides, I didn’t even know Kim Dokja and Demon King of Salvation were the same person, does that really count?
[Han Sooyoung]: You guys are getting off topic. Shin Yoosung just tell us how you made that guy cry
[Shin Yoosung]: okay so Ahjussi normally drops me off at school, right?
[Lee Gilyoung]: Big deal he drops us both off at school!! >:U
[Shin Yoosung]: Yeah well today you had to go in early so it was just me and him, so take that!
[Shin Yoosung]: Anyway lately I’ve been complaining about the school cafeteria, so today Ahjussi gave me!! A lunch box!! He made it!!!
[Lee Gilyoung]: SHIN YOOSUNG I HATE YOU
[Lee Gilyoung]: HOW COME I DIDN'T GET ONE??
[Shin Yoosung]: you did :)))))) but you left before he could give it to you so now both of them are mine :)))))
[Lee Gilyoung]: I’m coming to your classroom during lunch and if you and my lunch box aren’t there I’m going to murder you with Titano XVII.
[Yoo Sangah]: If Kim Dokja has to leave work early again because you two are fighting I will be very, Very Disappointed.
[Jang Hayoung]: Oh shit I can hear the Mom tone
[Lee Gilyoung]: ....
[Shin Yoosung]: ....
[Shin Yoosung]: uh anyways, when I got the lunchbox I was so happy that I swung my arms around his neck for a hug and we both fell to the ground. Ahjussi didn’t even try to cushion the impact. He didn’t try hugging me back either
[Shin Yoosung]: a couple of minutes passed and I thought it was really weird he wasn’t saying anything so I looked at him and his head was turned to the side. He was trying to hide it but his eyes were really red and watery!! Like he was trying not to cry!!!
[Yoo Sangah]: oh, is it possible Dokja-ssi doesn’t like to be touched? He always seems kind of awkward at work and tends to avoid touching others.
[Lee Gilyoung]: Hyung always pats us on the head though?
[Jang Hayoung]: we’ve sparred a couple times with Master and Yoo Jonghyuk and he’s never looked uncomfortable even when Master sits on him until he yields
[Han Sooyoung]: Kim Dokja’s too much of a smug rat to be touch-adverse. One time I caught him tucking Yoo Jonghyuk into bed and he could keep his hands off him, stroking his head and acting disgusting.
[Lee Hyunsung]: so Dokja-ssi has tucked Jonghyuk-ssi into bed...
[Jang Hayoung]: why is that the thing you focus on?????
[Yoo Sangah]: but if Dokja-ssi isn’t touch-adverse, how come he was so close to crying with just a small gesture from Yoosung-ah?
[Han Sooyoung]: How should I know? We should test it, maybe if you or I cling to him like that he’ll cry again. Then we’ll really know if he hates touch even when it’s with two beautiful women
[Han Sooyoung sent and image]: knifecat.jpg
[Yoo Sangah]: ....
[Lee Hyunsung]: I’ll do it too!!!
[Jung Heewon]: this is getting out of hand...
[Jung Heewon]: Shin Yoosung, you said you hugged Dokja-ssi? For a long time?
[Shin Yoosung]: yes?
[Jung Heewon]: Have you guys considered that Dokja-ssi is just unused to positive physical affection and is very moved by it?
[Shin Yoosung]: .....
[Lee Gilyoung]: Hyung....
[Yoo Sangah]: oh my... now that you mention it, it probably wasn’t easy growing up when Sookyung-ssi was still incarcerated
[Lee Hyunsung]: So Dokja-ssi isn’t used to getting hugged?
[Jang Hayoung]: ? I don’t get it what do you guys mean?
[Han Sooyoung]: That guy??? Touch-starved?????
[Han Sooyoung]: That’s Hilarious
[Yoo Sangah]: Han Sooyoung
[Han Sooyoung]: ugh Kim Dokja has a line of admirers out the door. Just about everyone in this group chat would die for him, literally half of you guys would commit murder if he asked, and yet he still hasn’t gotten that he could have a human cuddle pile if he wanted, no questions asked?
[Han Sooyoung changed the title of the conversation to Kim Dokja is a loser]
[Jung Heewon]: ... Han Sooyoung has a point, Dokja-ssi never relies on us. Its pitiful that he’s not used to even Yoosung hugging him
[Lee Gilyoung]: We should help him!!
[Shin Yoosung]: I’m going to hug Ahjussi when I get home too!!
[Yoo Sangah]: I can initiate more contact when we’re together as well.
[Lee Hyungsung]: Will this really help Dokja-ssi?
[Han Sooyoung]: Who cares, I’m just looking forward to seeing him *squirm.*
[Han Sooyoung]: @Yoojonghyuk @Yoojonghyuk @Yoojonghyuk @Yoojonghyuk
[Han Sooyoung]: read that?
[Han Sooyoung]: you better make a move before one of us sweeps Kim Dokja off his stupid ass feet
Thus began, as Han Sooyoung affectionately named it, operation “Suffocate Kim Dokja (with Affection)”
